Opis:
Technological process of aircraft engine turbine blades requires control of blade geometric parameters. Innovation technologies for measurement of aircraft engine turbine blades are based on coordinate numerical machines – measurement process is based on processing of numerical data obtained by measurement using coordinate measuring machines. The paper presents the opportunity of analysis of dimensional accuracy of aircraft engine turbine blades measurements using coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Coordinate measuring machine allows specifying full methodology for designation of complex dimensions of physical objects (blade of aircraft engine) and transforming them into a computer program space of coordinate measuring devices. Presented paper includes capabilities of device used in the study to improve the measurement process and blades geometry analysis in the technological and economical aspects. Another issue described in the paper is impact of measurement performance in automatic mode on the quality of performance – the numerical model of geometry, from the standpoint of accuracy and number of collected data points in time. Measurements using a coordinate measuring machine are among the most accurate methods of measuring. The paper includes an analysis of conditions related to the measurement works, such as the process of preparing the model, measurement equipment and data processing capacity. As the result, methodology of (CMM) measurements of aircraft engine turbine blades will be presented.

The paper presents the opportunity of automation of aircraft engine turbine blades measurements using scanner ATOS II Triple Scan with blue light source technology. Coordinate measuring technique allows to specify full methodology for designation of complex dimensions of physical objects and transform them into a computer program space of coordinate measuring devices. Presented paper includes capabilities of device used in the study to improve the measurement process in the technological and economical aspects. Another issue described in the paper is impact of measurement performance in automatic mode on the quality of performance – the numerical model of surface, from the standpoint of accuracy and number of collected data points in time. The paper includes an analysis of conditions related to the measurement works, such as the process of preparing the model, measurement equipment and data processing capacity. As the result methodology for automated scanning measurements of aircraft engine turbine blades will be presented.

Opis:
Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems are already widespread over the world. Their performance, both with high computational efficiency of modern computers make them a very good solution to use in traffic supervision and management systems in the city and at the regional level in the scope of safety and security services. The most popular way of use ANPR systems concerns detection of violations in traffic law. In Poland implementation of ANPR systems is at the starting point. There is still a noticeable lack of integrated area solutions, and currently used ANPR systems could not reach their full potential. In the following article authors introduced basic problems of application of the ANPR systems in Poland due to the legal requirements. Moreover paper presents selected functional aspects of ANPR systems.

Opis:
The article describes a conception of a off-road car, in which the self-ignition motor is planned to be replaced with a single or a group of electric motors. To implement the idea, it is planned to use a off-road Honker vehicle, produced in Poland. The choice has been made according to satisfactory cross-country properties of the vehicle, its reliability achieved by a simple design as well as positively user-rated performance in passing through the obstacles. The main aspect, still to be resolved, is the implementation of one electric motor to propel all wheels or four separate motors (each one for a single wheel). An important issue is the choice of a power supply, which can be a battery unit, recharged with a low power motor-generator. The vehicle will be additionally equpped with an innovational telematics system with its main element – the set of sensors for toxic gases detection and a communication system. Measured data will be transmitted to the headquarters. After aggregating and processing the data, the current information will be sent to each of the vehicles. The article characterises main assumptions of this system.
W artykule opisano koncepcję samochodu terenowego, w którym planowane jest zastąpienie silnika o zapłonie samoczynnym, silnikiem lub zespołem silników elektrycznych. W tym celu planowane jest wykorzystanie, produkowanego w Polsce, samochodu terenowego Honker. O wyborze platformy zdecydowały dobre właściwości terenowe samochodu, niezawodność spowodowana prostotą konstrukcji i pozytywnie oceniana przez użytkowników tzw. „dzielność w terenie”, oznaczająca wysoką zdolność do pokonywania przeszkód terenowych. Podstawowymi kwestiami, które pozostają do rozstrzygnięcia jest zastosowanie jednego silnika elektrycznego do napędu wszystkich kół – podczas jazdy terenowej, lub zastosowanie czterech silników (po jednym na każde koło). Ważnym aspektem jest wybór źródła zasilania, którym może być zespół akumulatorów, doładowywanych przy użyciu agregatu prądotwórczego małej mocy. Pojazd będzie dodatkowo wyposażony w innowacyjny system telematyczny. Jego głównym elementem będzie zestaw czujników do wykrywania niebezpiecznych gazów i system łączności. Dane pomiarowe będą transmitowane do centrali. Po zagregowaniu i przetworzeniu danych, aktualna zagregowana informacja będzie przesyłana do poszczególnych pojazdów. W artykule scharakteryzowano główne założenia tego systemu.

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of extrusion conditions (various moisture content of raw materials and screw rotation speed), as well as the effect of recipe composition on the process efficiency and the energy consumption during treatment of potato and multigrain products. The efficiency of the extrusion process (Q) was determined by the mass of the product obtained at a given time for all prepared raw material mixtures and the process parameters used, while the specific mechanical energy demand was determined using the SME index. The obtained results allow to conclude that the level of raw materials moisture content had a greater impact on the efficiency and energy consumption of the extrusion process than the variable screw speed during the treatment. The efficiency of the process increased with the increasing moisture of the tested compositions, while a decrease in the requirements of SME was observed. The use of differentiated raw material compositions also influenced the Q and SME values determined during the tests.
Celem badań było określenie wpływu warunków obróbki mieszanki podczas procesu ekstruzji (zróżnicowana wilgotność mieszanek surowcowych i prędkość obrotów ślimaka), jak również wpływ kompozycji receptury na wydajność procesu i zużycie energii podczas produkcji pelletów z surowców ziemniaczanych oraz produktu typu multigrain. Wydajność procesu ekstruzji (Q) wyznaczano przez określenie masy produktu uzyskanego w określonym czasie dla wszystkich przygotowanych mieszanek surowcowych oraz zastosowanych parametrów procesu, natomiast jednostkowe zapotrzebowanie energii zostało określone przy użyciu wskaźnika SME (ang. specific mechanical energy). Uzyskane wyniki pozwalają stwierdzić, że poziom dowilżenia mieszanek surowcowych miał większy wpływ na wydajność i energochłonność procesu ekstruzji niż zmiana prędkości ślimaka podczas wytłaczania. Wydajność procesu wzrastała wraz ze wzrostem wilgotności mieszanki, natomiast zaobserwowano spadek zapotrzebowania energii mechanicznej. Zastosowanie zróżnicowanych receptur surowcowych również wpłynęło na wartości Q i SME wyznaczone podczas badań. Mniejszą wydajność oraz większe SME odnotowano przy zastosowaniu mieszanki typu multigrain.

EcoGem Project was conducted in scope of ICT Green Cars Initiative under the Seventh Framework Program, during 2010-2013 period. EcoGem Consortium’s aim was to provide ICT-based solutions increasing the mobility of Fully Electric Vehicles (FEV). A FEV-dedicated Advanced Driver Assistance System was developed in scope of the Project. It included suitable monitoring, analysis, reasoning and management capabilities, which increased the autonomy and energy efficiency of FEVs. One of the Project’s goals was to deliver a significant contribution into standardization activities concerning management of external information provided to ADAS systems. During the project development, a contact with various standardization organizations was established. We contributed to the standard development activities of OGC and TISA. The article presents the proposed solutions with regard to EcoGem functionalities. Described in the article standardization contribution includes new FEV oriented propositions of specifications for transmission of multi-modal traffic and travel information as well as the attributes defining charging stations.

Warsaw has the most developed public transportation system in Poland and, therefore, the longest network of bus only lanes. The studies show a significant number of their violations made by individual vehicles, mostly because of complex traffic conditions and lack of physical separation from the other road lanes. This situation leads not only to road traffic law violations, but also mainly to disturbance in regularity and efficiency of bus connections. According to similar solutions implemented in other cities, Motor Transport Institute designed a concept bus lane enforcement system for Warsaw, which comprises the analysis of state-of-the-art law regulations on using monitoring systems in Poland, as well as operational and technical conditions for implementing the designed system and the concept of the system and system architecture itself. During the research, Motor Transport Institute conducted a complex audit of the bus lanes, in result of which the desired locations for ANPR camera points were identified. The article thoroughly describes the Polish law regulations on ANPR cameras location and confronts is with the actual needs regarding specific urban road sections. It also presents the methodology adopted for localizing the camera points. As a result, several examples of proposed locations are presented and discussed in terms of their compliance with the regulations, necessity for changing the traffic system on the specific road section and efficiency in bus lane enforcement.

Purpose: The article focuses on the production of polymer nanofibres from poly(lactic acid) using the electro-spinning method, i.e. the technique of forming fibres in an electrostatic field. The main aim of the publication was to analyse the influence of the distance between electrodes on the morphology of one-dimensional polymeric materials obtained. Design/methodology/approach: In the practical part of the study solutions of polylactide in acetone and a mixture of chloroform/dimethylformamide (DMF) were produced. After 72 hours of mixing, no homogeneous solutions were obtained, therefore a solution consisting of a polylactide dissolved in chloroform was prepared, to which dimethylformamide was added in order to dilute the mixture. The morphology of the nanostructures obtained was analysed by means of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with an X-ray energy dispersion spectrometer (EDS), which allowed to analyse the chemical composition of the nanofibres produced. The electro-spinning method used to obtain fibres is characterized by high versatility - it gives the possibility to produce fibres from a wide range of polymers. Electro-spinning is also an economic method, and spinned fibres have a wide application potential. Findings: Nanofibres obtained by electro-spinning from the previously produced solution, regardless of the distance between the nozzle and the collector (10 or 20 cm) did not show any significant discrepancies in the values of measured diameters. Fibres obtained at increased distance between electrodes (20 cm) are characterized by a smaller average diameter value, but the difference is small, fluctuating between 48-49 nm. In the case of the sample formed during electro-spinning at the distance of the nozzle - collector equal to 10 cm and the sample produced at the distance doubled, no defects in the structure of the obtained nanofibres were observed. The analysis of topographic images of surfaces produced in the course of nanostructures' work did not show any significant influence of the distance between the nozzle and collector on the diameter of fibres. No defects in the structure of one-dimensional polymer materials obtained allowed to state that the distance between the nozzle and the collector in the range of 10-20 cm is the optimal parameter of the electro-spinning process allowing to obtain smooth, untangled fibres. Practical implications: The fibrous polymer mats obtained during the electro-spinning process of polylactide can be used as protective clothing materials, as drug delivery systems, as tissue scaffolding and as filtration membranes. Originality/value: At present, there are few articles in the literature on the electrospinning process, due to the fact that it is a constantly developing matte for the production of nanofibres. Moreover, most of the research focuses on fibres obtained from nonbiodegradable polymers, which do not have the advantages of fibres obtained from polylactide.

Constantly developing nanotechnology provides the possibility of manufacturing nanostructured composites with a polymer matrix doped with ceramic nanoparticles, including ZnO. A specific feature of polymers, i.e. ceramic composite materials, is an amelioration in physical properties for polymer matrix and reinforcement. The aim of the paper was to produce thin fibrous composite mats, reinforced with ZnO nanoparticles and a polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) matrix obtained by means of the electrospinning process and then examining the influence of the strength of the reinforcement on the morphology and optical properties of the composite nanofibers. The morphology and structure of the fibrous mats was examined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with an energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). UV –Vis spectroscopy allowed to examine the impact of zinc oxide on the optical properties of PVP/ZnO nanofibers and to investigate the width of the energy gap.

The aim of this work was to produce a thin SnO2 film by a technique combining the sol-gel method and electrospinning from a solution based on polyvinylpyrrolidone and a tin chloride pentahydrate as a precursor. The spinning solution was subjected to an electrospinning process, and then the obtained nanofiber mats were calcined for 10 h at 500°C. Then, the scanning electron microscopy morphology analysis and chemical composition analysis by X-ray microanalysis of the manufactured thin film was performed. It was shown that an amorphous-crystalline layer formed by the SnO2 nanofiber network was obtained. Based on the UV-Vis spectrum, the width of the energy gap of the obtained layer was determined.

The paper presents the results of a study on the water absorption capacity and solubility of biodegradable starch foams produced with single-screw extruder TS-45 with L/D=12. Two different moulding dies were used: one with a circular hole with the diameter of 3 mm and one with a ring hole with the inner diameter of 5 mm. During the extrusion process, the temperature of the cylinder ranged from 80 to 130°C and the screw speeds applied were: 100 and 130 rpm. For the application of the ring die, it was observed that regardless of the speed of the screw, the use of the raw material of higher moisture content led to the production of materials with higher solubility. As a result, the obtained materials revealed solubility at a level of 40%. The results demonstrate good solubility of the starchy fillers of the packaging, which may indicate their susceptibility to decomposition in the conditions of high ambient humidity. A statistical analysis showed a significant impact of moisture of the raw material on the WSI of starch foams used irrespective of the other parameters of the extrusion-cooking process. The raw material moisture had a significant effect on the water absorption capacity of only TPS foams produced in the ring die at the screw speed of 100 rpm.

Opis:
The main aim of the study was to determine selected characteristics of extruded snacks supplemented with Dracocephalum moldavica L. seeds added to the recipe in amounts ranging from 5 to 20% of the basic raw material composition. The effect of the screw speed on the selected corn-based snacks characteristics has also been been studied. A single-screw extruder was employed to obtain the snacks in the form of readyto- eat extrudates. Several properties were evaluated, among them: the expansion ratio, the water absorption and solubility indices as well as pasting properties, depending on the level of the additive and the screw speeds applied. Extruded snacks supplemented with Dracocephalum moldavica L. seeds exhibited an enhanced nutritional value compared with corn snacks due to the high content of fibre, protein and ash. The addition of the seeds decreased the expansion ratio significantly. The water absorption index of the snacks decreased as the level of seed addition in the processed blends was raised, while the water solubility index was significantly affected by the variable screw speed during the processing of the supplemented snacks. The recommended level of Dracocephalum moldavica seeds in corn-based snacks should not exceed 15% due to the high nutritional value as well as the high expansion and efficient treatment intensity of the components resulting in the ready-to-eat characteristic of the supplemented snacks.
