    Opis:
    Into duties of parish priests not only a ministry was written down, but also organising the care for old, ill, poor and skipped parishioners. After the Trent Council which was held in latach1545-1563, they started forming parish hospitals, and on the XIX turning point and the 20th century shelters and houses of the refuge were made.             Into the history of the parish of Garbów activity of two protective institutions became part of: of the parish hospital and of the shelter called the Hostel for Old Men in Garbów.             The article is aimed portraying of the history these two institutions, from which every for many years served for the Garbów communities.             The first part of the article is regarding activity of the parish hospital. Based on observed parish and archival records and the available literature on the subject they presented here the standard of living of charges and funds of the hospital, and also to show the state of the residential building and ways of taking care of residents. Later an issue was introduced the foundation of hospital and other forms of financial supporting of hospitals. In the second part of the article based on parish records and numerous memory articles placed in the local Press they portrayed history of the coming into existence and functioning of the shelter which was assigned for the poorest group the Garbów communities. They described the case of purchasing the building and adapting it at residential target and involving landowners in the matter of creating the shelter. They presented a living conditions of residents and duties of nuns which worked at this institution, and ways of financing activity of the nursing home were shown.

    The aim of this article is to present the processes of education and upbringing in the curricula for universal schools in the Interwar Period. In the article, the example of primary schools is cited, operating in Garbów commune and the structure of the primary school network is described together with financial and material problems experienced in these schools and the methods of overcoming them. The teaching work of the teachers is presented with emphasis placed on the activity of school institutions and students organizations in the area. Attention is also paid to the significance of the achievements of the teaching and upbringing methods applied in primary schools in the Interwar Period. The article is based on information obtained from sources made available by the National Archives in Lublin and chronicles stored in schools still operating in Garbów commune.

    Artykuł ma na celu przybliżenie sylwetki Mariana Gietki – jednego z wielu przedwojennych absolwentów Wydziału Pedagogicznego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego. Nie miał on ani wysokiego tytułu naukowego, ani też nie był autorem publikacji pedagogicznych. Położył jednakże wielkie zasługi dla Polski. Przyczynił się bowiem do wychowania osób, które w okresie międzywojennym podjęły trud pracy na rzecz Ojczyzny, w latach drugiej wojny światowej walczyły o wolność kraju, a w rzeczywistości powojennej przekazywały młodszym pokoleniom wszystkie wpojone im w procesie wychowawczym wartości uniwersalne, patriotyczne iduchowe. We wspomnieniach swoich wychowanków i na kartach prowadzonej przez siebie kroniki szkolnej jawi się jako idealny nauczyciel, wspaniały wychowawca i oddany sprawom społecznym obywatel.
    The article is to aim to presentation of the silhouette of Marian Gietko – one of the many pre-war graduates of the Faculty of Education at the Lublin Catholic University. He did not have neither high academic title, nor was the author of educational publications. He put however a great merits for Polish. He contributed to education for people who in the interwar period have taken effort to work towards the Homeland, during the Second World War they fighting for the freedom of the country, and in the reality of the post-war they communicate to younger generations all of inculcated them in the educational process of universal, patriotic and spiritual values. In memories of his students and in the pages of carrying on his school chronicles, he stands as an ideal teacher, great educator and citizen devoted to social issues.

    Książka to to systemowo-funkcjonalna analiza poszerzonego dyskursu szkolnego. Materiałem badawczym są rozmowy między nauczycielem a rodzicami ucznia w kontakcie face to face oraz za pośrednictwem e-dziennika. Cele pracy to: 1) opis sposobu zakodowania w rozmowie między nauczycielem a rodzicami ucznia sygnałów wartościowania emocji, zachowań, czynności i postaw; 2) wyodrębnienie metodą systemowo-funkcjonalnej analizy dyskursu (SFAD) językowych środków OCENY i negocjowania postaw w powiązaniu z systemem gramatycznym języka polskiego; 3) określenie przyczyn porażki lub sukcesu w komunikowaniu się szkoły z domem ucznia. W książce opisano afekt, aprecjację, osąd i relacje przez pryzmat użytych środków językowych i ich skuteczności komunikacyjnej. Forma gramatyczna użytych wyrazów dostarcza informacji o nadawcy komunikatu. Istotne w badanym dyskursie są nie tylko relewantne wybory leksykalne, lecz także posługiwanie się gramatyką użytych wyrazów. Kluczowe dla opisanych obserwacji są uwagi związane z emocjonalnością towarzyszącą kontaktom językowym. Książka nie ma charakteru oceniającego sprawność komunikacyjną uczestników dyskursu, lecz opisuje i analizuje to, co dotychczas było nieujawnione. Jak pokazują wyniki, umiejętność mówienia i słuchania jest sztuką wciąż wymagającą doskonalenia. Autorka ma nadzieję, że jej badania przyczynią się do usprawnienia komunikacji między nauczycielem a rodzicami ucznia.

    The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of using insect flour for sponge cake supplementation. Consumer acceptance, chemical composition, textural properties, and microbiological characteristics were determined. The addition of mealworm flour significantly increased the content of nutrients, especially protein, ash, lipid, and dietary fiber. Mealworm flour influenced the color parameters as well as textural properties. The fatty acid profile was dominated by monounsaturated fatty acids, ranging from 9.72 g/100 g for wheat flour sponge cake to 41.82 g/100 g for sponge cake with 20% addition of mealworm flour. The amino acid profile of mealworm flour was characterized by a significantly higher content of essential amino acids compared to wheat flour and sponge cakes. Sponge cake supplementation resulted in a good nutritional value of protein except for lysine which was the limiting amino acid in all samples. However, the limiting amino acid index was 63.04-63.10% compared to 30.38% for the mealworm and wheat sponge cake, respectively. The presence of insect flour reduced the organoleptic properties of the obtained sponge cakes, regardless of its quantity. The addition of mealworm flour contributed to a significant reduction in the hardness and fracturability of the sponge cakes on the baking day and during the 30-day storage. Insect flour addition did not reduce the microbiological safety of the final product. The study results indicate the possibility of using mealworm flour in the production of confectionery products.
