Celem badań jest omówienie kondycji izraelskiej rusycystyki. W tekście wskazuje się uwarunkowania społeczno-polityczne, które wpłynęły na wzrost rangi języka rosyjskiego, omawia się dynamikę spadku jego atrakcyjności, a także perspektywy zainteresowania kulturą rosyjską w Izraelu. Autorka artykułu wymienia nazwiska izraelskich rusycystów i slawistów, omawia ich preferencje badawcze i osiągnięcia w zakresie światowych badań slawistycznych. Badania izraelskich rusycystów dotyczą przede wszystkim literatury pierwszej fali emigracji rosyjskiej. W ostatnim czasie coraz częściej podejmowane są prace nad literaturą rosyjską w kontekście żydowskim i izraelskim. Z przeprowadzonej analizy wynika, że rusycystyka w Izraelu najbardziej intensywnie rozwijała się w latach 90. W XXI wieku zainteresowanie rusycystyką w Izraelu spada ze względu na słabszą znajomość języka i kultury rosyjskiej wśród młodszego pokolenia repatriantów. Wpływ na ten stan rzeczy mają także tendencje światowe i procesy globalizacyjne.
The objective of this research is to discuss the state of Russian studies in Israel. The area the study focuses on are the socio-political circumstances which have influenced the growth of the status of the Russian language, the dynamics of the decline of its attractiveness, and also the perspectives of maintaining interest in Slavic culture. This article gives the names of various Israeli Slavists and discusses their achievements in the field of Slavic research, as well as those factors which have narrowed their academic preferences. So far, the concern of Israeli Rusicists has been focused on the literature of the First Wave of Russian emigration. Recently, however, more and more frequently it refers to Russian literature in Jewish and Israeli contexts. The analysis conducted indicates that Russian studies flourished the most in the 1990s. In the 21st century, interest in Russian studies in Israel is decreasing due to a poorer knowledge of Russian language and culture among the younger generation of repatriated people, worldwide trends and the processes of globalisation.

The considerations made ??in the article concern the image of Vilnius in the prose of Grigory Kanovich, a writer, who in all his previous works remains faithful to the Jewish Lithuania, which he remembers from his childhood. The story of Kanovich entitled Dream of Jerusalem, which no longer exists has been carefully analyzed. The post-war Jerusalem of North is undoubtedly the center of the Jewish ethnos, a mythical place, unique, admirable, but also a place of disappoint- ments, broken dreams, a city full of shed tears and marked by bloody events of the war. The theme of dream present in the work is at the same time longing for freedom, return to the ideal past, but also a symbol of fear and memory of the place which will never be the same again.

The Journey to the Land of Ze-Ka

The aim of this article is to attempt to discuss the report of Yuliy Margolin from the Soviet Gulag. A Journey to the Land of Ze-Ka is an original work, written from the perspective of a prisoner, who is mostly an intellectual, a philosopher, an excellent observer and interpreter of European reality. The author of the article tries to prove that for Margolin the superior value in the Gulag is the mind, which wins over emotions and thanks to that allows to preserve dignity and humanity. The analysis of identity, carried out by Margolin, allows us to read his testimony in the context of contemporary identity research in extreme situations, where instead of building up our own self, we are fighting for our moral values. As it turns out, the basic foundation of identity is freedom. The article also undertakes a preliminary analysis of Margolin’s concept of hate as the most destructive force for the human individual and the intellect. The mind, according to Margolin, effectively defends freedom, and hate kills free thought, destroys goodness, and consequently leads to dehumanization. The research allows us to call Margolin a rationally thinking humanist, an intellectual who is against historical fatalism, who constantly analyses current events and human behaviour, without losing faith in the mind and the human individual.

В статье рассматривается тема жизни русских эмигрантов в Израиле на основании романа Вот идёт Мессия! Дины Рубиной. Автор обращает внимание на душевные расстройства русских эмигрантов, на трудности адаптации в новой среде. Герои романа – русские интеллектуалы, которые ищут своего места в новой реальности, делают все, чтобы не потерять национальной идентификации. Однако, созданные Рубиной персонажи вынуждены вести двойственную жизнь – в романе прошлое перемешивается с настоящим, трагическое с комическим. Феномен русско-израильской реальности заключается в том, что Израиль оказывается для репатриантов самодостаточен – миллионное население начинает новую жизнь, ищет свои еврейские корни, одновременно сохраняя русскую духовность, культуру, язык.

This article discusses the role of women in the life of „Russian-speaking Israel”. The author gives the names of outstanding women — writers, poets, literary critics, representatives of Russian aliyah in Israel, the seventies and nineties. Among them are: Dora Shturman, Lydia Yanovska, Nina Voronel, Elena Axelrod, Maya Kaganskaya. It turns out that women are a significant part of the cultural space of Israel and the Russian literature of emigration.
В статье рассматривается роль женщин в жизни русскоязычного Израиля. Автор приводит имена выдающихся женщин — писателей, поэтов, литературоведов, представителей русской алии в Израиле 70-х и 90-х годов XX века. Среди них: Дора Штурман, Лидия Яновская, Нина Воронель, Елена Аксельрод, Майя Каганская. Женщины значительно обогатили культурный облик Израиля и литературы русского зарубежья.

W pracy opisano mechanizm biologicznego oczyszczania ścieków metodą osadu czynnego. Opisane zostały cechy oraz rola głównych grup mikroorganizmów wchodzących w skład osadu. Przedstawiony został schemat i mechanizmy usuwania poszczególnych rodzajów zanieczyszczeń w miejskiej oczyszczalni ścieków z wykorzystaniem metody osadu czynnego. Opisane zostało zastosowanie powyższej metody w przydomowych oczyszczalniach oraz sposoby postępowania z powstałym w wyniku procesu oczyszczania osadem nadmiernym.
The study describes biological wastewater treatment method using activated sludge. It presents the features and the role of major groups of microorganisms included in the sludge. Additionally, a scheme and mechanisms of removal of various pollutants in municipal wastewater treatment plant using activated sludge method were presented. The study describes the application of this method in domestic sewage treatment, and the ways of dealing with excess sludge resulting from the treatment process.

The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of osmotic dehydration conditions on the properties of osmotically pre-treated dried apples. The scope of research included analysing the most important mass exchange coefficients, i.e. water loss, solid gain, reduced water content and water activity, as well as colour changes of the obtained dried product. In the study, apples were osmotically dehydrated in one of two 60% solutions: sucrose or sucrose with an addition of chokeberry juice concentrate, for 30 and 120 min, in temperatures of 40 and 60°C. Ultrasound was also used during the first 30 min of the dehydration process. After osmotic pre-treatment, apples were subjected to innovative convective drying with the puffing effect, and to freeze-drying. Temperature and dehydration time increased the effectiveness of mass exchange during osmotic dehydration. The addition of chokeberry juice concentrate to standard sucrose solution and the use of ultrasound did not change the value of solid gain and reduced water content. Water activity of the dried apple tissue was not significantly changed after osmotic dehydration, while changes in colour were significant.

O-glycosylation has been considered a limiting factor in protein secretion in filamentous fungi. Overexpression of the yeast DPM1 gene encoding dolichylphosphate mannose synthase (DPMS) in an Aspergillus nidulans mutant (BWB26A) deficient in O-glycosylation caused an increase in the number of secretory vesicles and changes in protein secretion. However, the secretory proteins, primarily O-mannosylated glucoamylase and N-glycosylated invertase, were mainly trapped in the periplasmic space. Different glycoforms of invertase were found insite the cells, in the periplasmic space and in the cultivation medium. Our data point to the importance of the cell wall as a barrier in protein secretion.
