    The electric dipole moments μ$\text{}_{e}$ in the lowest excited singlet state of nine short-lived para-disubstituted trans-stilbenes were determined experimentally based on the effect of the external electric field on the fluorescence anisotropy. The values of μ$\text{}_{e}$ obtained from Liptay's theory with the employment of the Onsager effective field are in satisfactory agreement with those calculated based on the solvatochromic effect. In the case of para-substituted trans-stilbenes with the same donor substituent R = N(CH$\text{}_{3}$)$\text{}_{2}$ in position 4 and different acceptors R' in position 4', the enhancing electron properties of the acceptor are accompanied by the increase in μ$\text{}_{g}$ - the dipole moment in the ground state, and μ$\text{}_{e}$ - the dipole moment in the excited state. There exists a linear relation between the values of μ$\text{}_{e}$ and μ$\text{}_{g}$.

    Opis:
    A basic spectroscopic measurements of luminescence, absorption, luminescence excitation spectra and emission kinetic measurements on YAG crystals activated with cerium and magnesium are presented. We report that the Ce$\text{}^{3+}$ luminescence decay constant, at 65 ns, is independent of Ce concentrations (from 0.05 to 0.2%) and that it does not change with the presence or absence of the Mg co-dopant. Nevertheless, we find that under pulsed laser excitation at 290 nm the rise time in Ce luminescence time profiles is effectively shorter in the Mg co-doped samples.

    Bioptic specimen of the mucosa of the small intestine obtained by aspiration from patients with various helminthosis of the alimentary tract was examined microscopically. The diseases in question were: lambliosis, taeniosis, ascaridosis, strongyloidosis, trichinellosis and opisthorchidosis. The bioptic specimen of the mucosa of the small intestine obtained from patients with helminthosis of the alimentary tract shows slight histopathologic abnormalities in a high percentage of cases. In most cases they consist in a slightly pronounced catarrhal affection of the small intestine. This pattern does not differ considerably from other histologic pictures found in most parasitic diseases accompanied by diarrhoea. In severe cases of helminthosis atrophic changes of the mucosa may be present; they account for the syndrom of mal absorption syndrome observed ia chronic and acute cases of parasitic diseases of the alimentary tract.

    Opis:
    Although the recent rise of sharing economy platforms revolutionized hospitality market around the world, its impact is unevenly distributed, as a majority of new P2P accommodation providers emerged in urban areas. The aim of this study is to provide sharing economy development paths in areas surrounding all 23 national parks in Poland. This study is conducted basing on data from online observation of 2 sharing economy platforms development with data gathered from official census. Results show that sharing economy is still in its nascent stage in non-urban areas; there is a strong positive relationship between sharing economy accommodation establishments and both the population density and income per capita, population density and income per capita have no effect on the ratio between the number of traditional and sharing economy accommodation establishments. This study contributes to existing literature in following areas: it assesses the sharing economy phenomenon in areas with natural attractions, it validates the relationship between area population density and sharing economy proliferation, it examines the connection between area economic performance and sharing economy proliferation.

    Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy są połączenia klejowe polietylenu PE-HD 500 oraz poliamidu PA 6, wykonane przy użyciu różnych klejów cyjanoakrylowych typu: Monolith CE 40, Monolith CS 40 oraz Monolith CP 40, dzięki którym istnieje możliwość otrzymania odpowiednio spoin sztywnych, elastycznych oraz spoin o właściwościach pośrednich. Celem przeprowadzonych badań była analiza porównawcza wytrzymałości połączeń klejowych, których spoiny charakteryzują się różnymi właściwościami oraz określenie, który klej wykazuje, najbardziej korzystne cechy odpowiednie do łączenia wybranych tworzyw polimerowych. Na podstawie wyników eksperymentu zauważono, że klej elastyczny Monolith CP 40 jest skuteczniejszy pod względem wytrzymałości do wykonania połączeń klejowych poliamidu PA6, natomiast zastosowanie kleju uniwersalnego Monolith CS 40 jest korzystne dla połączeń klejowych polietylenu PE-HD 500.
    The subject of this paper is adhesive joints of PE-HD 500 and polyamide PA 6, made using a variety of cyanoacrylate adhesives such as: CE 40 Monolith, CS 40 Monolith and CP 40 Monolith. The use of these adhesives allows obtaining suitably rigid, flexible and intermediates properties of adhesive layer joints. The aim of this study was to analyze the comparative strength of adhesive joints, which the adhesive layer is characterized by different properties, and determines which adhesive are characteristics the most advantageous properties suitable joining selected polymeric materials. Based on the results of the experiment it was observed that the Monolith CP 40flexible adhesive is effective in respective of strength to make adhesive joints ofPA6 polyamide, while the use of Monolith CS 40 universal adhesive is suitable for adhesive joints PE-HD 500 adhesive joints.

    Given graphs G and H, a vertex coloring c : V (G) →ℕ is an H-free coloring of G if no color class contains a subgraph isomorphic to H. The H-free chromatic number of G, χ (H,G), is the minimum number of colors in an H-free coloring of G. The H-free chromatic sum of G, ∑(H,G), is the minimum value achieved by summing the vertex colors of each H-free coloring of G. We provide a general bound for ∑(H,G), discuss the computational complexity of finding this parameter for different choices of H, and prove an exact formulas for some graphs G. For every integer k and for every graph H, we construct families of graphs, Gk with the property that k more colors than χ (H,G) are required to realize ∑(H,G) for H-free colorings. More complexity results and constructions of graphs requiring extra colors are given for planar and outerplanar graphs.

    The micro-Particle Image Velocimetry (micro-PIV) was used to measure flow velocities in micro-channels in two passive micromixers: a microfluidic Venturi mixer and a microfluidic spiral mixer, both preceded by standard “Y” micromixers. The micro-devices were made of borosilicate glass, with micro-engineering techniques dedicated to micro-PIV measurements. The obtained velocity profiles show differences in the flow structure in both cases. The micro-PIV enables understanding the micro-flow phenomena and can help to increase reproducibility of micromixers in mass production.

    W pracy przedstawiono sposób postępowania umożliwiający ilościową ocenę porównawczą elastyczności różnych rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych odlewu palety podstawowej. Paleta podstawowa jest głównym elementem wchodzącym w skład konstrukcji wszystkich typów oprzyrządowania technologicznego służącego do ułożenia i transportu wsadu w piecu podczas zabiegów obróbki cieplnej. Jest ażurową i cienkościenną konstrukcją. Określono wartość sił i naprężeń tworzących się w zaproponowanych konstrukcjach palety wskutek ich odkształcenia o zadaną wartość. Na tej podstawie wskazano najkorzystniejsze rozwiązania jej konstrukcji.
    The paper presents a procedure that allows a quantitative comparative assessment of the flexibility of different design solutions of guide grate cast. Guide grate is an essential component part in all types of technological equipment structures used for arranging and transporting charge in furnaces during heat treatment. It is an openwork and thin-walled construction element. Values of forces and stresses created in the proposed guide grates due to deformation are specified. On this basis, the most advantageous structure solutions are indicated.

    Spectral and photophysical properties of a few aromatic thioketones in their S$\text{}_{2}$- and T$\text{}_{1}$-states, in particular those determined by their interactions with solvents, are discussed. The reasons for a drastically different behaviour of thioketones in interactions with benzene as well as saturated hydrocarbons and perfluoroalkanes are analysed in more detail. Results of the time-resolved transient absorption measurements in the pico- and nanosecond time scale are given. An analysis of these results proves that a product of the decay of the S$\text{}_{2}$-state of xanthione in benzene is a new transient (τ $\text{}_{1}\text{}_{/}\text{}_{e}$ ≥ 60 ps) individuum which, regarding the system properties and the conditions of the experiment, has been identified as an exciplex in S$\text{}_{2}$-state formed as a result of an efficient interaction with benzene molecule. Also in xanthione//alkane systems the involvement of a transient individuum was proved. Most probably, this individuum was a thioketyl radical which could be formed by hydrogen abstraction from a hydrocarbon molecule by xanthione in the S$\text{}_{2}$-state. Such individua act as intermediates in passing excitation to the triplet states of thioketones and are effective channels of the S$\text{}_{2}$-state decay. The changes observed in the transient absorption spectra of xanthione in C$\text{}_{6}$H$\text{}_{6}$ in the time range of 10$\text{}^{-7}$-10$\text{}^{-6}$ s can be attributed to the formation of an excimer in the T$\text{}_{1}$-state as a result of the T$\text{}_{1}$-state selfquenching.
