Opis:
Historia Kościoła to historia wspólnot – mniejszych lub większych. To we wspólnocie, która zapewnia bezpieczeństwo, wsparcie, utwierdzenie i umocnienie, człowiek najbardziej zbliża się do Boga i do bliźniego. Jedną z takich wspólnot, w których chrześcijanin może znaleźć swoje miejsce i otworzyć się na relację z Panem Bogiem, jest ruch Światło-Życie – inicjatywa, której zostało poświęcone niniejsze opracowanie. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na konieczność formacji ludzkiej, duchowej, intelektualnej, liturgicznej realizowaną w ruchu Światło-Życie. Autor spojrzał z perspektywy czasu na owoce funkcjonowania Ruchu w diecezji legnickiej w wielu parafiach. Przypomniano i uporządkowano zasadnicze wydarzenia związane z oazową formacją. Dokonano tego, opierając się na analizie dokumentów z teczek znajdujących się w archiwum kurii diecezji legnickiej czy Wyższego Seminarium Duchownego. Zbadano m.in.: rękopisy kazań, konferencji, katechez; plany rekolekcji, wyjazdów; dekrety i sprawozdania, które pomogły ocenić wartość dzieła zainicjowanego przez ks. Franciszka Blachnickiego.  
The history of the Church is the history of smaller or larger communities. It is in a community that offers security, support, affirmation and strengthening that we come closest to God and to our neighbours. An example of such a community in which the Christians could find their place, and open up to a relationship with the Lord, is the Light-Life Movement, to which this paper is dedicated. The article draws attention to the necessity of human, spiritual, intellectual and liturgical formation, which were conducted in the Light-Life Movement. The author investigated retrospectively the fruits of this movement in the Diocese of Legnica in selected parishes. The fundamental events connected with the Oasis formation were recalled and put in order on the basis of an analysis of documents from the Movement files located in the Archives of the Curia of the Diocese of Legnica or in the Archives of the Higher Theological Seminary. Among others, the following documents were examined: manuscripts of sermons, conferences, catecheses, plans for retreats, trips, decrees, reports, which helped to assess the value of the work initiated by Rev. Franciszek Blachnicki.

W ciągu 45 lat od rozpoczęcia jej wdrażania Wspólna Polityka Rolna Unii Europejskiej przeszła istotną ewolucję, zmieniając cele i instrumenty jakimi się posługiwała i wniosła istotny wkład w rozwój rolnictwa i obszarów wiejskich krajów członkowskich. Z jej efektów korzystają nie tylko rolnicy ale także całe społeczeństwa. Jej jednakże słabością jest to, że jest kosztowna. Mimo ograniczania wydatków, z około 68% całości wydatków budżetowych w 1988 roku do około 40% współcześnie, stanowi największą pozycję w wydatkach budżetu UE. Wspólna Polityka Rolna przyczyniła się do rozwoju rolnictwa i obszarów wiejskich krajów członkowskich i stała się jednym z najważniejszych sposobów pogłębiania procesów integracji w Europie. Wspólna Polityka Rolna musi uwzględniać warunki wewnętrzne występujące w krajach członkowskich Unii Europejskiej, ale też w większym stopniu realia rynku międzynarodowego. Przyszła Wspólna Polityka Rolna musi być polityką uzasadnioną ekonomicznie i społecznie, ukierunkowaną na konkretne cele, dostosowującą się do warunków wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych.
Within 45 years since its implementation, the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union has undergone a significant evolution, changing its objectives and instruments used and contributed to foster farming development and rural areas of the member states. Not only farmers but also whole societies are using its effects. However, its weakness is the fact that it is expensive. In spite of expenditure restraint, from about 68% of the total budget expenditures in 1988 to about 40% in our times, it is still the main expense in the EU budget. The Common Agricultural Policy has contributed to the agricultural development and rural areas of the member states and become one of the most important means of deepening integration processes in Europe. The Common Agricultural Policy must consider internal conditions of the European Union member states, but also to a high degree respect the international market reality. The future Common Agricultural Policy must be justified economically and socially, directed at specific objectives, adapting itself to internal and outside conditions.

The everyday use of the bicycle is becoming increasingly common. People noticed the need to take care of both their health and the environment. The geographical location of Poland encourages cycling, which is the reason new kilometres of cycling routes are being built every year. This is associated with the rising interest in buying a bicycle. A conceptual tricycle with an additional electric drive powered by solar panels is presented in this article. The photovoltaic panel is installed on the basket roof. The electric motor may be used during an uphill ride and when the driver has run out of energy for pedalling. In the crank mechanism, there is a sensor which starts the motor when a small foot pressing force on the pedal is detected. The tricycle has an all-purpose structure, owing to which the seat mounted in the basket can be easily replaced with a double seat, a shopping bin or a child's safety seat. The tricycle may be used by both private persons and companies involved in tourist transport. The cost of the structural details of the tricycle suggested in this article does vary considerably from standard electric bikes, however, that solution has several important advantages, which may be decisive in the purchase of this solution.

The current needs for diversification of income sources in the rural areas, are compliant with the efforts to promote entrepreneurship and employment in the rural areas. This allows to improve the quality of life in the rural areas not only through increased income, but also indirectly by increasing accessibility to the newly established or developing services. Before the accession, certain assistance was provided in a form of loans for creating and maintaining workplaces, and the post-accession assistance has been co-financed by the European Union funds earmarked for: diversification towards non-agricultural activities; creation and development of micro.
Aktualnym potrzebom wsi w zakresie dywersyfikacji źródeł zarobkowania na obszarach wiejskich, odpowiadają działania promujące przedsiębiorczość, tworzenie miejsc pracy na wsi. Pozwala to na poprawę jakości życia na obszarach wiejskich nie tylko poprzez wzrost dochodów, ale także pośrednio poprzez wzrost dostępności do nowotworzonych bądź rozwijanych usług. Przed akcesją udzielano pomocy w formie pożyczek na tworzenie i utrzymanie miejsc pracy, a po akcesji udziela się wsparcia w ramach środków współfinansowanych z funduszy Unii Europejskiej przeznaczonych na: różnicowanie w kierunku działalności nierolniczej; tworzenie i rozwój mikroprzedsiębiorstw.

New changes and a new way of obtaining EU funding emerged in the intermodal transport sector in 2004-2006 and 2007-2013.The new economic situation requires changes of the ways of obtaining EU funding to subsidise projects involving the development of intermodal transport in Poland. Intermodal transport projects are one type of investment projects that increase safety and promote environmentally friendly solutions in transport. The article is an analysis of the available sources of EU funding for intermodal transport projects. The objectives and priorities of funding projects within two financial perspectives are presented. The article also looks at the principles of Poland’s policy on implementing such projects subsidised by the EU.

Zaprezentowane w artykule wyniki badań dotyczą zużycia frettingowego w połączeniu wtłaczanym. Badania przeprowadzono na połączeniu wtłaczanym wałek – tulejka. Warstwę wierzchnia badanych wałków poddano modyfikacji poprzez rolkowanie i hartowanie powierzchniowe. W analizie wykorzystano również badania wałków Sławomir Kowalski 211 bez modyfikacji warstwy wierzchniej. W pierwszej kolejności wykonano badania zużyciowe na maszynie zmęczeniowej umożliwiającej uzyskanie obciążenia próbki w warunkach obrotowego zginania, a w konsekwencji pojawienie się oscylacyjnych przemieszczeń współpracujących powierzchni, co jest warunkiem wystąpienia zużycia frettingowego. Po badaniach zużyciowych przeprowadzono badania laboratoryjne, których celem było określenie stanu warstwy wierzchniej. W ramach tych badań przeprowadzono obserwacje makroskopowe oraz mikroskopowe przy użyciu mikroskopu optycznego i skaningowego. Badania wykazały, że wyeliminowanie zjawiska adhezji ogranicza rozwój zużycia frettingowego. Z obserwacji próbek wynika, że zastosowanie hartowania powierzchniowego znacząco przyczyniło się do ograniczenia rozwoju zużycia frettingowego. Spowodowane to jest uzyskaniem dużej twardości powierzchni. Na zakończenie stwierdzono, że wyniki badań przeprowadzone na połączeniu wałek – tulejka można odnieść do obiektu rzeczywistego, jakim jest np. połączenie koło – oś zestawu kołowego pojazdu szynowego.

Trzeci sektor to sektor obywatelski, na który składają się podmioty nazywane najczęściej organizacjami pozarządowymi, jednakże obok tego określenia funkcjonuje jeszcze kilka nazw: organizacje społeczne, organizacje non-profit, organizacje wolontarystyczne, organizacje obywatelskie. Celem artykułu jest pokazanie roli zarządzania wizerunkiem oraz kierunków rozwoju klubów sportowych w zakresie tego zarządzania. Podstawą jego będą badania własne przeprowadzone na kibicach sportowych pod kątem ich stosunku do klubów oraz znaczenia ich wizerunku w decyzjach zakupu usług i produktów sportowych. Poza tym podane w nim zostaną modelowe rozwiązania dotyczące wpływu wizerunku na funkcjonowanie klubów sportowych oraz wpływ czynników zewnętrznych na ten wizerunek. Dla harmonijnego rozwoju organizacji sportowej w społeczności lokalnej konieczny jest jej pozytywny wizerunek, a wszelkie negatywne zjawiska wizerunkowe negatywnie wpływają na podstawową działalność klubu. Podstawowa hipoteza zakłada, że istnieją stałe czynniki, będące rdzeniem wizerunku klubu sportowego oraz czynniki wizerunkowe wynikające z bieżącego zarządzania wizerunkiem. Wynikiem badań jest cząstkowy model zarządzania wizerunkiem w klubie sportowym.
The third sector is the civic sector, which consists of entities most often called NGOs, but in addition to this definition, there are also several names: social organizations, non-profit organizations, voluntary organizations, civic organizations. The purpose of this article is to show the role of image managing and the directions of sport clubs development. The article will be based on research conducted on sports fans in terms of their attitude to the clubs and the importance of their image in the decision to purchase services and sports products. In addition, model-based solutions for the influence of the image on the functioning of sports clubs and the influence of external factors on this image will be presented. For the harmonious development of a sports organization in the local community, it is necessary to have a positive image, and any negative image-related phenomena negatively affect the basic activity of the club. The basic hypothesis assumes that there are constant factors that are the core of the sports club’s image and image-related factors resulting from the current image management. The result is a partial image management model in a sports club.

Purpose: The main purpose of this article is to measure the effects of the communication of football sports clubs using social media. An additional aim is to create a versatile, flexible tool for managing online communication. Design/methodology/approach: The method of a taxonomic synthetic development measure was used to achieve the intended purpose. This measure was calculated using data covering the activity of selected sports clubs on Facebook (Meta) from 1 to 10 October 2022 and the users' perception of this activity. The subjects of the study were sports clubs of the highest men's football competition class in Poland. Findings: The study resulted in a ranking of the optimal use of Facebook (Meta) in the communication of clubs with their stakeholders. Research limitations/implications: The main limitations of the study are the variety of factors that may influence the communication management of sports clubs and the fact of similarity between the subjects of the study. The main focus of the paper is to show how data from web statistics can be used. In the future, the method can be adapted to communication management problems. Practical implications: The research method used in the paper is flexible, which allows it to be used freely to find out the effectiveness of companies' social media activities. Companies operating in homogeneous markets are provided with a tool for identifying their competitive positioning in terms of marketing communication. Social implications: It is assumed that, with the optimal application of the proposed statistical method, companies, not only sports clubs, gain a tool to objectively assess their communication management policy through social media. The method replaces the qualitative assessment of this management, the position among different types of media or competitors. Originality/value: The article is aimed at fims operating in a single market, where benchmarking is used in online communication. The novelty is that this is the only application of the taxonomic method of synthetic development measure in the management of communication through social media.

Stacjonujące w Kosowie oddziały międzynarodowych sił pokojowych również włączono w stabilizowanie sytuacji. Przyczyną sporu między władzami serbskimi a kosowskimi była kwestia, jakich tablic rejestracyjnych mogą używać w swoich samochodach kosowscy Serbowie. Artykuł omawia źródła problemu, wynikające z uwarunkowań historycznych oraz międzynarodowych decyzji w sprawie statusu Kosowa, przedstawia zagrożenia wynikające z braku satysfakcjonujących obydwie strony uregulowań tej kwestii, a także opisuje podejmowane w przeszłości próby rozwiązania tego problemu.
The problem of license plates issued to Kosovo Serbs became the main reason for the escalation of tensions between Belgrade and Pristina in summer 2022. Due to the threat of a regional conflict, international institutions, including EU diplomacy, became involved in mediation between both sides. The international peacekeeping troops stationed in Kosovo also contributed to stabilizing the situation. The reason for the dispute between the Serbian and Kosovo authorities is the question of which license plates Kosovo Serbs could use in their vehicles. The article describes the causes of the problem resulting from historical conditions and international decisions on the status of Kosovo. It also presents the threats resulting from the lack of mutually satisfactory regulations on this issue, and discusses the attempts made in the past to seek solutions to this problem.

The article analyzes the costs of a company dealing in the transport of goods within the European Union. A short description of the company was made and the percentage share of costs of the generic system and general costs was compared. A comparative analysis was conducted for the six-year period of the company's activity. Data from the period 2012-2017 were adopted for the analysis of costs.

Artykuł dotyczy procesu oceny stanu technicznego agregatów prądotwórczych lokomotyw spalinowych podczas badań przeprowadzanych na hamowni zakładów naprawczych taboru kolejowego. Przedstawiono ogólny opis przebiegu badań diagnostycznych oraz formalne przesłanki klasyfikacji stanów technicznych agregatów. Wyszczególniono zbiory cech mierzalnych i niemierzalnych, sprawdzanych podczas i po zakończeniu docierania silnika, a także zbiory cech ocenianych w trakcie próby odbiorczej agregatu. Dla poszczególnych cech mierzalnych przytoczono ich wartości graniczne, które nie mogą być przekroczone podczas badań. W artykule określono także formalne warunki pozytywnej oceny procesu docierania i odbioru agregatów po naprawie.
The article presents evaluation process of the technical state of power-generating aggregates of diesel locomotives during tests carried in a repair works. A general description of a diagnostic test and formal conditions of the aggregate technical state classification are presented. Sets of measurable and unmeasurable features checked during and after engine.

Współczesny świat to świat szybkiej informacji, którą z punktu widzenia organizacji należy odpowiednio zarządzać, szczególnie w sytuacji kryzysu. Na kryzys ten szczególnie narażone są organizacje, w których dużą rolę odgrywają emocje, w tym organizacje sportowe. W artykule przedstawiono zarys problemów zarządzania komunikacją kryzysową w zakresie przestrzennym, a także sposoby wyjścia z nich przez podmioty sportowe. Celem artykułu jest analiza rozwoju sytuacji kryzysowych w podmiotach sportowych, reakcja tych podmiotów i interesariuszy na takie sytuacje (praca działów związanych z public relations i komunikacją) oraz efekty kryzysu. Na tej podstawie przedstawiono wnioski dotyczące zarządzania w sytuacjach kryzysowych oraz zasady postępowania w takich okolicznościach. Na tym tle hipoteza zakłada, że sytuacja kryzysowa wymaga zawsze szybkiej i zdecydowanej reakcji ze strony organizacji. Metodą zastosowaną w badaniach jest obserwacja niekontrolowana występowania sytuacji kryzysowej. Obserwacja ta dotyczyła wybranych aspektów związanych z badanym zjawiskiem. Zakres czasowy obejmuje w tym przypadku okres od 1 lipca do 30 września 2023 roku, a badania oparte są na źródłach internetowych oraz narzędziach Google Trends. W tym okresie zaobserwowano oraz wybrano do analizy szczególne przypadki występowania sytuacji kryzysowych. Przedstawienie przykładów sytuacji kryzysowych w sporcie i w marketingu sportowym, analiza reakcji na kryzys w klubach sportowych oraz określenie roli mediów społecznościowych w zażegnaniu sytuacji kryzysowych w sporcie pozwoliło też na wyodrębnienie etapów zarządzania kryzysem w sporcie oraz zasad komunikacji z interesariuszami.

Safety as a state that gives a sense of confidence and a guarantee of its maintaining may also act as an element motivating to use a product or service, certainty of use of the product and the certainty of using the service. In the second approach, mass-specific services, including sports services related to the operation of sports clubs, are a service specific in terms of security. The entity providing them should ensure the safety of all its participants, from sportsmen to sports spectators. The aim of the article is to present partial results of research results on the relationship between the sense of safety of sports club fans and active participation in a sports event. The research covered a group of 1127 people surveyed in the first half of 2018 using a direct questionnaire on fans of sports teams and research on secondary sources. The main hypothesis is that a sporting event allows to extend a marketing offer to new segments, enrich the expanded sports product, set new pricing strategies and use promotion only when a viewer has a high sense of security. In this approach, it is security from the point of view of the customer that determines the use of a sports service, but also satisfaction, and, in the future, also loyalty.

The sewage treatment plant, as a producer of renewable energy, should make every effort to ensure that the biogas used as a fuel meets the quality requirements, including those of the manufacturers of cogeneration units. Such measures necessitate the application of a conditioning process of biogas in order to remove harmful compounds, so that its parameters ensure failure-free operation of engines. The aim of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of biogas treatment in the A-type installation using the “wet biogas treatment” technology, and in the B-type installation, which is a comprehensive solution comprising sulfur removal as a result of a simultaneous regeneration of the bed with oxygen, removal of siloxanes on activated carbon, cooling and heating of biogas along with its filtration. The analysis of the results of biogas testing for these two installations demonstrated fundamental qualitative differences for the benefit of the installation B, in which the biogas was characterized by a much lower content, mainly of sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, siloxanes and humidity. The introduced pollution indicator of a megawatt hour produced in cogeneration one has confirmed much higher pollution load from the A-type installation. The hybrid solution applied in the work with simultaneous regeneration of the bed has confirmed the efficiency of biogas conditioning. Such a solution contributes to a safe and reliable operation of the cogeneration system for generating energy from a renewable source, which in turn contributes to the optimization of energy.

The aim of the article is focused on assessing the degree of end-of-life for the vehicle front suspension beam. The first stage of the problem taken was represented by a road test of the vehicle at distance expressed by 100.000 km. Following the end of the operation tests, the suspension beam was dismantled and subjected to laboratory tests. The tests demonstrated numerous beam top layer plastic deformations, which came into being as a result of the vehicle driving onto an obstacle on the roadway or onto raised road infrastructure elements. At the point of connection of the stabiliser rod to the beam, surface degradation was noted, which consisted in the considerable change of the surface profile, hardness reduction and the grey and dark brown colour. Corrosion regions and fretting wear traces were noted. Corrosion pits, scratches and material build-ups was observed. The analysis of the chemical composition of wear products demonstrated the presence of elements such as iron, oxygen, chlorine and silicon, as an effect of operational conditions.

This document discusses the use of mechatronic solutions in pipe organs. This article is the first in a series, in which the authors present a historical view of pipe organs, as well as their development. It is also an explanation of new mechatronic solutions used in modern pipe instruments, ensuring the organist's intended sounds are delivered. The registration of the instrument, both before and after performance, is explored in terms of the usage of systems.
Praca przedstawia zastosowanie rozwiązań mechatronicznych w organach piszczałkowych. Jest to pierwszy artykuł z tego cyklu, w którym autorzy zaprezentowali rys historyczny organów piszczałkowych, a także ich rozwój. Podjęta została też próba opisania nowych rozwiązań mechatronicznych, stosowanych we współczesnych instrumentach piszczałkowych, które nadają im możliwość odpowiedniego, zgodnego z wolą organisty, wydawania dźwięku. Nie bez znaczenia pozostaje także aspekt rejestrowania instrumentu zarówno przed, jak i w trakcie wykonywania utworu. Autorzy postarali się udzielić odpowiedzi na pytanie zawarte w tytule niniejszej pracy.

The subject of the work is a conceptual design of a baby monitor. The central control system for the system is the Raspberry Pi 4 platform. In the next stages, practical aspects related to the topic of work are discussed. Selected components of the system were presented, connection diagrams between individual components were developed and the assembly process of a fully functional system was presented. Then the source code of the program controlling the operation of the electronic system was characterized. In the last stage, the method of testing and the results of the performed functional tests of the complete system being the subject of the study were described.
Przedmiotem pracy jest projekt koncepcyjny niani elektronicznej. Centralnym systemem sterowania systemem jest platforma Raspberry Pi 4.W kolejnych etapach omawiane są praktyczne aspekty związane z tematem pracy. Przedstawiono wybrane elementy systemu, opracowano schematy połączeń pomiędzy poszczególnymi elementami, a także proces montażu w pełni funkcjonalnego systemu. Następnie scharakteryzowano kod źródłowy programu sterującego pracą układu elektronicznego. W ostatnim etapie opisano metodę testowania i wyniki przeprowadzonych testów funkcjonalnych kompletnego systemu będącego przedmiotem badań.

The objective of the research was to develop practical recommendations that could be used in the education programs of future teachers. Methods. The research used the method of a diagnostic survey; the questionnaire technique. Results. The results of the research showed differences between the behaviour of teachers and students in such matters as contacts with parents, following the headmaster’s instructions, using innovative teaching methods and self-confidence in everyday work-related situations.

Introduction. The article concerns research conducted among teachers and principals of primary schools in Poland and the Czech Republic as part of a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the State budget, We Cross the Borders. The Key Competencies in Teaching and Education project was implemented under the recruitment of the Praděd Microprojects Fund, Priority axis number: 11.4, priority axis name: Cooperation of institutions and communities. Aim. The theoretical and cognitive aim of the research was to diagnose the competencies of teachers and principals in critical thinking. The practical-implementation objective of the research was to develop practical recommendations that may be included in the education programs of future teachers and principals. Methods. The research used the method of a diagnostic survey and the questionnaire technique. Data analysis was performed with the use of STATISTICA software. Results. The research results showed differences between the behaviour of teachers and principals in such matters as contact with parents, following the headmaster’s instructions, using innovative teaching methods and self-confidence in everyday work-related situations. The results show statistically significant differences in their declarations of behaviour in a particular situation. From the research, it can be concluded that principals are more interested than teachers in solving any difficult situation to resolve the conflict rather than focusing primarily on the consequences of the situation.

The fatigue test was carried out on an element of a rotor blade removed from the Mi-2 helicopter. The purpose of the test was to check the fatigue strength of the repaired rotor blade. Metal composite rotor blades have a metal spar in the form of a box and the trailing sections in the form of metallic honeycomb sandwich panels. The trailing sections are bonded to the spar. The repair had been carried out at the point where the trailing section became debonded from the spar at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Warsaw using a methodology developed for carrying out repairs of rotor blades’ damage. All types of the Mi family helicopters are equipped with metal composite rotors blades. Depending on MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) and destination of helicopters, blades differ in dimensions, but their design solutions are practically the same. For this reason, the developed repair methodology can be used for all characteristic rotor blades structures for Mi helicopters. The fatigue test was performed at the Łukasiewicz - Institute of Aviation in Warsaw, using a hydraulically driven fatigue machine. The fatigue test was carried out by performing over 1.1 million load cycles. In repair places, upon completion of fatigue testing, no damage was found.

In this article a preparation method of epoxy resin/glass fabric composites with reduced flammability and smoke emission was presented. For this purpose the two groups of powder-epoxy compositions containing: (1) melamine polyphosphate (MPP) and aluminum diethyl phosphinate (AlDPi); (2) ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and dipentaerythritol (DPE) were used as matrices in six-ply glass fabric reinforced composites. The flame retardants content was 25 wt %. In addition, the 10–15 wt % of zinc borate (ZB) as a smoke reducing agent was added to each compositions. The flame resistant and smoke emission of prepared laminates designed for application in public transport components were evaluated. It was found that with the increase of zinc borate content, the emission of fumes decreased. The lowest maximum of specific optical density (Dsmax = 312.2), specific optical density in the first 4 minutes of the test [Ds(4) = 304.1] and cumulative specific optical densities in the first 4 minutes of the test (VOF4 = 707.6 min) have been achieved for composite containing 10 wt % of MPP, 15 wt % of AlDPi and 15 wt % of ZB. Furthermore, this composite was characterized by V0 class by UL94 test, limiting oxygen index LOI = 36.8 % and maximum average rate of heat emission MAHRE = 80 kW/m2.
Na osnowie z proszkowej żywicy epoksydowej otrzymywano kompozyty wzmocnione tkaniną szklaną, charakteryzujące się zwiększoną odpornością na płomień oraz zmniejszoną emisją dymów. Przygotowano dwie grupy kompozycji epoksydowych: (1) polifosforanu melaminy (MPP) idietylofosfinianu glinu (AlDPi); (2) polifosforanu amonu (APP) i dipentaerytrytu (DPE), które wykorzystano jako osnowy w sześciowarstwowych kompozytach wzmocnionych tkaniną szklaną. Zawartość uniepalniaczy wynosiła 25 %mas. W celu zmniejszenia intensywności wydzielania dymów do kompozycji wprowadzano też 10–15 % mas. boranu cynku (ZB). Wyniki badań potwierdziły, że wraz ze zwiększaniem zawartości boranu cynku zmniejsza się emisja dymów zbadanych materiałów. Najmniejsze wartości: maksymalnej właściwej gęstości optycznej (Dsmax = 312,2), właściwej gęstości optycznej po 4 minutach badania [Ds(4) = 304,1] oraz łącznej wartości właściwych gęstości optycznych w pierwszych 4 minutach badania (VOF4 = 707,6 min) wykazywał kompozyt wytworzony z 10 % mas. MPP, 15 % mas. AlDPi oraz 15 % mas. ZB. Kompozyt ten charakteryzował się klasą palności V0 wg testu palności UL94, indeksem tlenowym LOI = 36,8 % oraz maksymalną średnią szybkością emisji ciepła MAHRE = 80kW/m².

Conclusion The principal objective of the book at hand was to disentangle the threads of the fabric comprising the way Poles think about their national identity. Within the framework of that identity’s structure, we endeavored to distinguish key elements which logically organize their reasoning; we delved deeper in order to reach other elements which are merely derivative or only incidentally linked to the way Polishness is envisioned. The sense of Polish national belonging is characterized by stability; this was demonstrated by the data drawn from both our quantitative survey research and qualitative in-depth interviews. The structural constellation of its determinants remains largely impervious to fundamental systemic transformations, international political networks, and economic changes (in other words, civilizational shifts). Since the beginning of our longitudinal research project in 1988 (the last year of centralized, soviet socialism), the most vital criteria for establishing the Polishness of an individual remain: 1) a feeling of being Polish, and 2) fluency in the Polish language. Certainly, the emphasis placed on each criterion in the thinking about Polishness has shifted on a societal scale, but these have not been radical changes. The criteria assessed as important and very important by the vast majority of Polish society three decades ago continue to be at the top of the list of conditions to be met for national identity. Seeking the causes for this clarity and sharpness in the model of Polishness functioning in the social consciousness of Poles, we can look precisely at the changing environs which constantly impinge upon the solidity of the Polish national identity. Underpinning this are the contemporary core values, as Jerzy Smolicz understood them (1981). Apart 195 Ewa Nowicka, Sławomir Łodziński from the exceptionally deeply incised contents encompassed by and effectively upholding the concept of Polishness, certain tendencies towards change can be observed. These include the decreased importance 1) of the criterion of confessing Roman Catholicism, and 2) of exceptional service, bravery, and sacrifice on behalf of Poland (which always occupied last place in rankings). The findings of our research project – based on both the quantitative as well as qualitative data – point to key constitutive criteria on which the collective contemporary vision of Polishness is built. Communality is constructed around individually harbored beliefs; these do differ in many ways, but they share in common a spectrum of the intellectual code which coalesces those beliefs to a crucial degree. The main content of that intellectual code is something universally underlined by our respondents: knowledge of the history and culture of Poland. A key issue when investigating both variety and similarity in individually-constructed images of Polishness is how these form the ties that bind Poles together. Very important is what connects Poles in a single cultural community despite its internal diversity. The results of our research project show that this is not only a cultural community, but something that can be described as an imagined political community. Furthermore, it turns out that colloquially expressed ideas that Poles build their national community on the basis of common biological ancestry (ius sanguinis) are false. The cornerstones of the dominant pattern of Polishness are a rooted inclusivism on the part of the Polish national community. The continuity and durability of specific convictions associated with a sense of Polishness can be explained by two things. Firstly, there is the power of cultural transmission taking place on all levels – from the familial, through the educations, and finishing with the mass media. Secondly, there is the unequivocal comprehension of the concept of national community which is universal across all nations. The potency of the Polish national community does not stand in contradiction with a strongly European identification and Poles seeing 196 Chapter VIII. Conclusion themselves as inhabitants of this continent. The boundaries of belonging to Polish society are demarcated on a similar basis as other European societies: Polish boundaries are also defined by criteria associated with consciousness and with culture. It can be assumed that the increased intensity of intercultural contacts over the last 30 years – both due to the arrival of culturally diverse foreigners to Poland and to short- or long-term emigration by Poles – is related to a change in attitudes towards a multicultural society and the national identity. Those persons who have experienced emigration in different roles and historical periods – individually or as members of groups treated as clearly distinct – have different personal experiences and thus assess not only relations between various national groups differently, but also describe and comprehend their Polishness differently. Due to the massive increase in the number of Polish temporary or permanent emigrations over recent decades, the impact of intercultural and interethnic contact is gaining in importance. Another matter is the recently enhanced contact with persons of other nationalities (most often economic migrants) within Poland. It appears that contact with others and especially “strangers” not only does not liquify Polishness, but, in fact, can provide it with new sense and meaning. Being a Pole can mean simply belonging to the collective group of Poles. Worth adding here is that the research experience we have gained facilitated perception of the problems our respondents had with some of the issues touched in this study. Both in the quantitative surveys and in the course of the qualitative in-depth interviews it was clear that certain questions posed great challenges for the participants in this project. A few difficulties arose especially in respondent interpretations of specific concepts we proposed. One of these was the category of extraordinary, meritorious service to the country which respondents tended to understand as meaning rather ordinary things such as obeying the law, working honestly, paying taxes, etc. Should this research project be continued into the future, it would be worth paying special attention to the 197 Ewa Nowicka, Sławomir Łodziński list of criteria of Polishness. Added to the list of conditions to be met by a foreigner who seeks recognition as a Pole should be “obeying Polish law” or something similar. Furthermore, worth undertaking in the future would be a more detailed, thorough inquiry into a few issues. Above all it would be good to concentrate (especially comparatively) on the circumstances which lead to a fading or to a fortifying of various national identities. Yet another matter which we would like to examine up close is the nuances secreted in the links between Polishness and Roman Catholicism – that is, the changing forms of religiosity vis-à-vis convictions held about the national community.
