Opis:
Zjawisko występowania drgań ferrorezonansowych w systemie elektroenergetycznym jest istotnym problemem w elektroenergetyce. W artykule przedstawiono badania symulacyjne możliwości wystąpienia ferrorezonansu w sieci 110 kV.
The ferroresonance phenomena in the power system is a significant problem in electric grid. The nonlinear vibration of the current and the voltage present a risk to the electrical apparatus. Due to the nonlinearity of that phenomena a classical analysis method are not applicable and digital methods of analysis are necessary. The article present a risk to the electrical apparatus. Due to the nonlinearity of that phenomena a classical analysis method are not applicable and digital methods of analysis are necessary. The article presents application of the EMTP-ATP program to determine simulation results. EMTP-ATP is a universal program system for digital simulation of transient phenomenon of electromagnetic. To analysis was subjected the 110kV double-circuit overhead lines with two different nonlinear elements – power transformer and voltage transformer. That types of circuit is one of the susceptible to ferroresonance oscillations. Computer simulations confirmed that theory. The oscillation were observed for the given configuration. The results of the simulation shows that a voltage transformer are particularly vulnerable to ferroresonance phenomenon.

Opis:
The article presents a synthetic analysis of the socio-economic development – with account taken of the environmental aspect – of Maków county municipalities, Mazowieckie voivodeship, Poland, in 2010 and 2018. There were 20 diagnostic features explored in the research, representing various fields from the areas of Economy, Society and Environment. The study was performed with the help of a multivariate comparative analysis, including a non-model standardization method using zero unitarization. The results of the research indicate that from 2010 to 2018 there was an increase in the overall level of social-economic development, with a simultaneous reduction of the pressure on the environment in most of the municipalities studied. However, the numerous different aspects of this phenomenon presented a varied nature.

Opis:
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system, characterized by the presence of scattered foci of demyelination in the brain and spinal cord. Magnesium (Mg) has a significant influence on the nervous system and the immune system. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of the concentration of Mg in the serum on the ability status of patients with MS. The study group consisted of 101 adults with diagnosed relapsing remitting MS. All participants were investigated on the Expanded Disability Status Scale. The control group included 41 people. The concentration of Mg in the serum was determined by the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method. The patients completed a survey and a 24-hour dietary interview. In patients with MS, the percentage of respondents with normal magnesium content was significantly lower than in the control group (p < 0.05). The study proved that patients with normal Mg serum concentration levels were in better clinical condition, particularly with respect to the function of the pyramidal tract (p = 0.007) and sphincters (p = 0.002), than patients with inadequate levels of Mg in the serum. External factors such as gender, smoking, immunomodulating medications or dietary supplements of Mg were found to have no effect on the concentration of Mg in the serum of MS patients. The results of our study suggest that an abnormal concentration of Mg in the serum of MS patients should be recognized and corrected, as this may improve the health status of people with MS.

Opis:
Introduction:S100 calcium-binding protein B (S100B) is a biochemical marker of astroglial damage. Purpose: To assess the pathophysiological implications of S100B concentrations in blood plasma and cerebrospinal fluid of patients with neurodegenerative central nervous system disorders. Materials and Methods: In this study, we determined and compare S100B concentrations in blood plasma and cerebrospinal fluid obtained from subjects diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease (n=20), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (n=12), multiple sclerosis (n=40) and the reference group (n=20), using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: Concentrations of S100B in plasma collected from patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease (252,38±183,50 pg/mL) and multiple sclerosis (164,92±250,14 pg/mL) were above laboratory standards, but in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (53,96±56,92 pg/mL) and the reference group (2,12 pg/mL) were below laboratory norms (N>75 pg/mL). Concentrations of S100B in plasma collected from patients with Alzheimer's disease (252,38±183,50 pg/mL) were significantly higher than in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (53,96±56,92 pg/mL) (p<0,029). Concentrations of S100B in CSF collected from the reference group (546,96±236,62 pg/mL) and from patients with Alzheimer's disease (587,53±189,57 pg/mL), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (404,41±179,56 pg/mL), multiple sclerosis (462,03±146,01 pg/mL) were very similar, and none of pairwise comparisons reached statistical significance. Conclusions: Results of our studies indicate the importance of S100B protein concentration assessment in blood in central nervous system disorders differential diagnostics.
