    Opis:
    Each public speech (including the homily) should be associated with showing the right which serves as the basis for accepting the presented statements. This is one of the fundamental features of the correct construction of a statement. The theological content of a homily can be presented on the basis of the classical form of argumentum ex auctoritate. As an inductive structure, this argument may promote specific ways of organising the whole speech. Firstly, in the rhetorical inventio structure, it allows the author to control the semantic coherence of the text. Secondly, in the structure of dispositio, the authority can make for an interesting use of rhetorical narrative in homily text. Thirdly, argumentum ex auctoritate can be used to build the ethos of the preacher. Thanks to the above proposals, it is possible to influence the processuality of the text, which may determine the recognition and assimilation of the different key elements, both of which are crucial for preaching.

    Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu uporządkowanie zagadnień teologicznych dotyczących głoszenia homilii. Artykuł precyzuje konkretne kroki, które warunkują poprawne przybliżenie misteriów życia Jezusa dla słuchaczy słowa Bożego. W opracowaniu zwrócona zostaje uwaga na prawidłowe odczytanie orędzia kerygmatycznego. Na tej podstawie budowane są kolejne kroki takie jak: poprawne adresowanie orędzia tzn. treści egzystencjalne, pogłębienie przekazywanego misterium tzn. treści didaskalijne, sformułowanie zalecenia moralnego tzn. treści parenetyczne oraz doprowadzenie do doświadczenia Chrystusa w liturgii tzn. treści mistagogiczne.
    This article aims to organize theological issues regarding the preaching of the homily. It specifies concrete steps, which determine a correct explanation of mysteries of Jesus’ life for the listeners of the word of God. The study draws attention to the correct interpretation of the kerygmatic message. On this basis, further steps are built such as: right addressing of the message i.e. existential content of the homily, deepening of communicated mystery i.e. didactic content of the homily, expression of a moral recommendation i.e. a parenetic content of the homily and leading to experience of Christ in the liturgy i.e. mistagogical dimension of homily.

    The purpose of this paper is to explain an important question related to the text theory, which concerns understanding of processuality. In other words, a concept in which the text “is not” but “is becoming one“. According to the etymology of the term, the homily, in textological practice, may concern different elements that will influence its processuality. In the paper, those elements have been divided into two groups. The first part concerns the substantial content of the homily text. The second refers to its structure. Those two elements enable structuring the text of the homily in such a way as to allow the listeners to follow the train of thought presented by the preacher.
    Celem artykułu jest wyjaśnienie istotnego zagadnienia teorii tekstu związanego z zagadnieniem procesualności. W innych słowach: koncepcji, gdzie tekst nie „jest”, ale „staje się”. W lingwistyce tekstu homilia może, zgodnie z etymologią terminu, dotyczyć różnych elementów, które mogą wpłynąć na jej procesualność. W opracowaniu te elementy zostały podzielone na dwie grupy. Pierwsza dotyczy zawartości materialnej tekstu homilii. Druga jest związana ze strukturą. Dzięki tym elementom tekst homilii może zostać uporządkowany w sposób, który pozwoli słuchaczom podążać za prezentowanymi myślami mówiącego.

    Badania nad poszczególnymi funkcjami języka, m.in. w retoryce kaznodziejskiej, powinny zmierzać do lepszego poznania mechanizmów, jakie rządzą językiem. W przypadku funkcji fatycznej chodzi o ważny element, jakim jest nawiązanie kontaktu i podtrzymanie uwagi słuchacza. Artykuł precyzuje w przypadku jakich elementów formalnych funkcja fatyczna obecna jest w kaznodziejstwie. W pracy wskazane zostało odniesienie do używanych przez kaznodziejów zwrotów adresatywnych, posługiwania się różnymi strukturami leksykalnymi języka oraz stosowanie określonych struktur przygotowanych tekstów homilii i kazań. Przedstawione zabiegi formalne pozwalają nawiązać i utrzymać uwagę słuchacza, co pozostaje warunkiem koniecznym dla właściwego przekazu treści.
    Research that covers particular functions of language in rhetoric should lead to acquiring knowledge of the mechanisms of a language. As it comes to the phatic function, it is about the prominent element that is making contact and maintaining recipient's attention. The article defines the issue that concerns in which formal elements (of homilies and sermons) phatic function (phatic communion) is present in preaching. The author of the assignment pointed out the reference to the adversative phrases used by preachers, using different lexical structures and the application of certain structures of the homilies and sermons. Those presented formal procedures allow to establish and keep the attention of the listener, which remains an essential condition for an appropriate transfer of content.

    Począwszy od pierwszej połowy XX wieku rozwija się tzw. teoria aktów mowy. W jej ramach angielski filozof John L. Austin zwrócił uwagę na funkcję performatywną języka. Chodzi tutaj o wypowiedzi, które nie tylko coś stwierdzają, ale wprowadzają także realną zmianę w rzeczywistości. W języku religijnym, którego używa się w czasie homilii, także może wystąpić funkcja performatywna. Jest to związane z dwoma sytuacjami. Po pierwsze: wynika z użycia określonych wyrażeń języka religijnego. Po drugie: może łączyć się z tzw. funkcją mistagogiczną w homilii.
    The speech act theory has been developing since the beginning of the XX century. In its scope English philosopher of a language John L. Austin presented the theory where he emphasized the presence of performative function of language. What is meant here is an utterance in which particular sentences are not only a description of action. Using the expressions sets out a creation of a particular reality. In the religious language which we use during preaching homily performative function of language may also occur. The pragmatic analysis of language of the homily demonstrates that performative function of language may occur in homilies in two cases. First one it comes from the pragmatic analysis of expressions of religious language. The second it may be associate with a function that we can call the mystagogical function of homily.

    Wśród zjawisk decydujących o istnieniu (bądź nie) tekstu wymienia się intertekstowość. W ramach tej cechy tekst zostaje umiejscowiony pomiędzy innymi tekstami. W nawiązaniu do wymienionego zjawiska niniejszy artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie jego obecności w liturgicznym głoszeniu słowa Bożego. Intertekstowość w homilii została przedstawiona przede wszystkim w ramach wykluczenia tzw. tekstu otwartego w procesie aktualizacji treści Objawienia. Stosowanie intertekstowości zostało ponadto zaprezentowane jako narzędzie interakcyjności. W praktyce oznacza to, że inter-tekst związany jest z wymiarem pragmatycznym formułowanej wypowiedzi, co może wpływać na lepsze jej zrozumienie.
    Intertextuality can be mentioned as one of the features determining the existence of a text (or lack there of). Intertextuality means that the text is positioned between other texts. This article presents the issue of intertextuality in the liturgical proclamation of the word of God. In a homily intertextuality has been introduced as a mean of preventing the existence of so-called “open text” in the process of actualization of the content of God Revelation (the content of the Mass Lectionary). Whereas, in a practice of preaching, intertextuality aims to strengthen the understanding of homily for congregation and support a dialogue between the preacher and the homily recipients.

    Komunikowanie znaczeń w różnych rodzajach tekstów powinno być związane z wyraźnym wyznaczeniem ich granicy, czyli delimitacją. Niniejszy artykuł omawia zagadnienie delimitacji w przepowiadaniu słowa Bożego. W opracowaniu punktem odniesienia jest semantyczne znaczenie komunikowanych treści, które może pozwolić na określenie granicy formułowanych wypowiedzi. W oparciu o to wyróżnione zostały trzy sposoby delimitacji znaczeń. Po pierwsze w wymiarze dookreślenia semantycznego głoszonych treści. Po drugie omówiona została delimitacja kerygmatyczna. Jako ostatnia została wyróżniona tzw. delimitacja narracyjna.
    This article considers the use of delimitation in preaching the Word of God. When expressing the meanings of different types of texts it is important to indicate the beginning and end of each individual text, that is delimitation. The point of reference in the article is the semantic meaning of the content to be communicated which determines the extent of the formulated statements. Three styles of delimitation are highlighted in the text: the semantic specification of the proclaimed content; a description of kerygmatic delimitation and narrative delimitation.

    Homilia, jako rodzaj tekstu, powinna spełniać określone wymogi formalne. Jednym z istotnych jest kwestia spójności struktury. Spójność homilii można rozpatrywać w wymiarze: koherencji (spójności semantycznej) oraz kohezji (spójności strukturalnej). Spójność semantyczna obecna jest przede wszystkim we właściwie skonstruowanym oraz rozwijanym temacie. Dotyczy również jedności nadawcy i odbiorcy tekstu. Spójność linearna odnosi się do m.in. właściwego powiązania zdań, zachowania proporcji struktury, jak również używania właściwych operatorów metajęzykowych, które pozwalają na właściwe powiązanie elementów tekstu. Zachowanie spójności homilii służyć ma bardziej efektywnemu komunikowaniu znaczeń w ramach homilijnego actio.
    Homily as a type of text should meet some formal requirements. One of the important issues is the coherence and also cohesion of the text structure. The text of homily should include those two mentioned features. The Coherence (semantic sence) is present primarily in the well-structured and developed subject of the text. It also applies to the unity of the orator and receiver. The cohesion (structural sence) provides linking of sentences, preserving the proportion of structure and additionaly, the use of appropriate metalanguage operators that allow for proper structure of text elements. Coherence and cohesion enable communicateing more effectively in a homily meanings within the homily actio.

    Istnienie grupy ludzi, która potrafi poprawnie identyfikować system znaków oraz towarzyszące im reguły warunkuje powstanie spójności semiotycznej. Daje to szansę do stworzenia wspólnoty dyskursywnej, w której wypowiedzi adresowane są do konkretnego słuchacza z zachowaniem zasad semiologii i tekstologii. Problemem dla niniejszego tekstu jest kryterium funkcjonowania w ramach celebracji wspólnoty „wymiany myśli” – „wspólnoty dyskursywnej”. Określenie cech dyskursu oraz towarzyszących im zasad pozwala na ułożenie definicji tego pojęcia w ramach liturgii. Osiągnięcie tego zamierzenia zostało zrealizowane w następujących krokach. Po pierwsze usystematyzowana została typologia tekstów pojawiających się w liturgii. Następnie omówiona została koncepcja wspólnoty dyskursywnej. Pozwala to na doprecyzowanie pojęcia „dyskurs liturgiczny”. W ostatnim punkcie zostały omówione normy tekstologiczne dla wybranych tekstów obecnych w celebracji.
    The functioning of a group of people which can correctly identify a system of signs and its accompany rules determines semiotic coherence. It gives rise to a discursive community wherein utterances are addressed to a particular listener in accordance with the principles of semiology and textology. This text addresses the criterion for the functioning in such a community of “thought exchange”—ie. a “discursive community” within the context of the celebration of liturgy. Determining its features and accompanying principles permits a definition of the term “liturgical discourse” which is then accomplished in the following steps:—systematized, a typology of texts appearing in the liturgy;—the concept of discursive community, allowing for the clarification of the concept of “liturgical discourse”;—“textological norms” for selected texts used in the celebration of the liturgy.
