historical-political education intercultural education - Opis:
- Memorial sites pedagogy emphasizes the importance of historical-political education which, in turn, assumes that students, for example, should visit the museums of former Nazi concentration camps. It combines the acquisition of historical knowledge of WW II with self-development and the teaching of socially desirable attitudes, mostly by means of methods subsumed under non-formal education. With the help of memorial sites pedagogy, students can learn how to be tolerant and how to foster anti-discrimination acts. The method also offers a possibility to reinforce the pro-democratic attitudes.
