    Celem pracy była identyfikacja przesłanek wprowadzających konieczność reform WPR, wyra- żanych jej zmianami, a także wykazanie, iż dopłaty bezpośrednie oraz płatności niezwiązane z produkcją stopniowo zastępowały określone instrumenty rynkowo-cenowe, a pojawienie się II filaru uzupełniło instrumentarium wspierania rolnictwa przez odniesienie do obszarów wiejskich, przyczyniając się do jego bardziej harmonijnego rozwoju. Weryfikowano hipotezę, iż skuteczność WPR w dłuższym okresie wymagała komplementarności i substytucyjności jej instrumentów.
    The main goal of the paper was to identifying the prerequisites leading to the necessary reforms of Common Agricultural Policy, CAP which are expressed by the changes in the policy; the secondary aim is showing that direct surcharges and not connected to production gradually replaced the market-price instruments in a substitutional way, and the appearance of 2nd pillar completed the instrumentarium of supporting agriculture by referring to rural areas and contributing to its more harmonious development. So the hypothesis verified beneath is the statement that the effectiveness of CAP in a longer period of time needed complimentarity and substitution of its instruments.

    The paper presents investigations related to solving of a direct and inverse problem of a non-stationary heat conduction equation for a cylinder. The solution of the inverse problem in the form of temperature distributions has been obtained through minimization of a functional being the measure of the difference between the values of measured and calculated temperatures in M points of the heated cylinder. The solution of the conduction equation was presented in the convolutional form and then numerically integrated approximating one of the integrand with a step function described with parameter Θ ∈ (0, 1]. The influence of the integration parameter Θ on the obtained solution of the inverse problem (including a number of temperature measurement points inside the heated body) has been analyzed. The influence of the parameter Θ on the sensitivity of the obtained temperature distributions has been investigated.

    Opis:
    Direct and inverse problems for unsteady heat conduction equation for a cylinder were solved in this paper. Changes of heat conduction coefficient and specific heat depending on the temperature were taken into consideration. To solve the non-linear problem, the Kirchhoff’s substitution was applied. Solution was written as a linear combination of Chebyshev polynomials. Sensitivity of the solution to the inverse problem with respect to the error in temperature measurement and thermocouple installation error was analysed. Temperature distribution on the boundary of the cylinder, being the numerical example presented in the paper, is similar to that obtained during heating in the nitrification process.

    Opis:
    Inverse boundary problem for cylindrical geometry and unsteady heat conduction equation was solved in this paper. This solution was presented in a convolution form. Integration of the convolution was made assuming the distribution of temperature T on the integration interval (ti, ti + Δt) in the form T (x, t) = T (x, ti) Θ + T (z, ti + Δt) (1 - Θ), where Θ ϵ (0,1). The influence of value of the parameter Θ on the sensitivity of the solution to the inverse problem was analysed. The sensitivity of the solution was examined using the SVD decomposition of the matrix A of the inverse problem and by analysing its singular values. An influence of the thermocouple installation error and stochastic error of temperature measurement as well as the parameter Θ on the error of temperature distribution on the edge of the cylinder was examined.

    The paper presents the results of calculations related to the flow analysis of a tube bank taking into account the partial pressures of gases flowing through the condenser. Different mass share of the gas not condensing in the heat exchanger upstream to the first row of tubes and the partial pressures of water vapor and air have been taken into account. The value of the partial pressures of gases, pressures drop, temperature, velocity, Reynolds number, and air share in the subsequent rows of tubes have been calculated. This study is a basis for the analysis of heat exchange in the condenser considering the influence of the noncondensing gas. The increase in the share of air in the following rows of tubes results in an increase in the thermal resistance and condensation of increasingly lower mass of water vapor.

    The work presents a calculation process enabling one-dimensional numerical calculations of labyrinth sealing. A DSV program determines the thermodynamic parameters of gas in the sealing chambers with extraction. The influence of the sealing length upon the stability of a matrix solution of the system of equations with the use of Cond(C) parameter is analysed. Next, the operation of the software extended with a module that enables determination of the initial pressure p0, to which the assumed mass flow for a set geometry and sealing length would correspond is discussed. The work analyzes Cond(C) and initial pressure values for various sealing lengths with an assumed leak value. The work also compares the values of static pressures on the extraction plane, as obtained from the measurements, to theoretically calculated values. The calculations and comparisons were made for various heights of incomplete sealing fissures.

    The pressure of wet water vapor inside a condenser has a great impact on the efficiency of thermal cycle. The value of this pressure depends on the mass share of inert gases (air). The knowledge of the spots where the air accumulates allows its effective extraction from the condenser, thus improving the conditions of condensation. The condensation of water vapor with the share of inert gas in a model tube bank of a condenser has been analyzed in this paper. The models include a static pressure loss of the water vapor/air mixture and the resultant changes in the water vapor parameters. The mass share of air in water vapor was calculated using the Dalton’s law. The model includes changes of flow and thermodynamic parameters based on the partial pressure of water vapor utilizing programmed water vapor tables. In the description of the conditions of condensation the Nusselts theory was applied. The model allows for a deterioration of the heat flow conditions resulting from the presence of air. The paper contains calculations of the water vapor flow with the initial mass share of air in the range 0.2 to 1%. The results of calculations clearly show a great impact of the share of air on the flow conditions and the deterioration of the conditions of condensation. The data obtained through the model for a given air/water vapor mixture velocity upstream of the tube bank allow for identification of the spots where the air accumulates.

    A direct problem and an inverse problem for the Laplace’s equation was solved in this paper. Solution to the direct problem in a rectangle was sought in a form of finite linear combinations of Chebyshev polynomials. Calculations were made for a grid consisting of Chebyshev nodes, what allows us to use orthogonal properties of Chebyshev polynomials. Temperature distributions on the boundary for the inverse problem were determined using minimization of the functional being the measure of the difference between the measured and calculated values of temperature (boundary inverse problem). For the quasi-Cauchy problem, the distance between set values of temperature and heat flux on the boundary was minimized using the least square method. Influence of the value of random disturbance to the temperature measurement, of measurement points (distance from the boundary, where the temperature is not known) arrangement as well as of the thermocouple installation error on the stability of the inverse problem was analyzed.

    The paper presents the results of calculations related to determination of temperature distributions in a steel pipe of a heat exchanger taking into account inner mineral deposits. Calculations have been carried out for silicate-based scale being characterized by a low heat transfer coefficient. Deposits of the lowest values of heat conduction coefficient are particularly impactful on the strength of thermally loaded elements. In the analysis the location of the thermocouple and the imperfection of its installation were taken into account. The paper presents the influence of determination accuracy of the heat flux on the pipe external wall on temperature distribution. The influence of the heat flux disturbance value on the thickness of deposit has also been analyzed.

    We analysed chromosome lengths, karyotype structure, and nuclear DNA content (flow cytometry) in diploid (2n=20) and triploid (2n=30) European H. lupulus var. lupulus, American H. lupulus var. neomexicanus (2n=20) and Japanese ornamental hop, H. japonicus (F/2n=16; M/2n=17). Diploid female representatives of H. lupulus var. lupulus and H. l. var. neomexicanus differed in total length of the basal chromosome set (23.16 µm and 25.99 µm, respectively) and nuclear 2C DNA amount (5.598 pg and 6.064 pg) but showed similar karyotype structure. No deviation from the additivity, both in chromosome length and 2C DNA amount was evidenced in triploid monoecious H. lupulus (2n=30, XXY). H. japonicus showed different karyotype structure, smaller basal chromosome set (F/18.04 µm, M/20.66 µm) and lower nuclear DNA amount (F/3.208 pg and M/3.522 pg). There are first evaluations of nuclear genome size in diploid, not commercial representative of European H. lupulus var. lupulus and American H. lupulus var. neomexicanus and first attempt to determine the absolute male and female genome size in two Humulus species.

    The male-specific DNA markers are very useful in molecular sexing of non-flowering plants and seeds of dioecious species. In this paper we identified ten Y chromosome-specific RAPD primers suitable for identification of male plants in three Cannabaceae species with sex chromosomes (Humulus lupulus, XX/XY; H. japonicus, XX/ XY1Y2; Cannabis sativa, XX/XY). Basing on the nucleotide sequence of the OPJ-09 RAPD product we developed the HJY09 SCAR marker, which is very efficient in sexing of Japanese hop.

    In the predominantly polyploid and apomictic genus Hieracium (Asteraceae) sexual diploids are extremely rare and their distribution is limited mainly to the refugial areas of southern Europe. Here we characterized for the first time the chromosome complex of the relict species Hieracium bracteolatum from a diploid population on the Greek Island of Evia. The cytogenetic analysis based on classical chromosome staining, C-banding/DAPI method and fluorescence in situ hybridization with rDNA probes (rDNA-FISH) showed no major differences in the karyotype structure between this relict species and other diploids within the genus, especially in terms of chromosome morphology and rDNA location. Our study is part of the still very scarce research on the karyotype organization in sexual Hieracium taxa.
