Opis:
Activisation is very important for motor disabled persons and helps them to integrate with the whole of society. Physically disabled persons face many occupation related obstacles at work, mainly connected with the presence of architectonic barriers and the occupational environment. An important part of the employment process of locomotor disabled workers is the adjustment of work stations to the worker’s needs, providing workwear, rooms and work plant surrounding adaptation. Analysis of workwear available on the market shows that commercial offers do not cover workwear dedicated especially for physically disabled persons. The main goal of workwear design and construction is to provide complex comfort for the user, whose needs and expectations differ from able-bodied employees. In this study the general assumptions of textile material selection for workwear dedicated for locomotor disabled employees are presented, together with the results of tests carried out for selected textile materials.

Opis:
Artykuł poświęcony został rozprawom zdalnym w polskiej procedurze cywilnej w kontekście prawa do sądu i prawa do obrony swych praw przez stronę postępowania. Celem artykułu jest próba znalezienia „złotego środka”, który – wdrożony w praktyce – będzie: 1. zgodny z adekwatnymi w tym zakresie regulacjami, w tym także z ich celem, jakim jest ograniczenie rozprzestrzeniania się wirusa SARS-CoV-2; 2. umożliwi wszystkim (także tym cyfrowo wykluczonym) obywatelom możliwość realizacji ich konstytucyjnego prawa do sądu oraz prawa do obrony ich praw w już prowadzonym postępowaniu; 3. umożliwi sprawną pracę sądów, w możliwie najwyższym stopniu minimalizując ryzyko obstrukcji postępowania ze strony podmiotu, któremu zależy na tym, aby trwało ono jak najdłużej. Artykuł jest poświęcony etapowi podejmowania decyzji o skorzystaniu z rozprawy on- -line i nie będzie dotyczył problemów i zagrożeń związanych z samym procesem przeprowadzania takich rozpraw. Rozważania zostały oparte na dwóch stanach prawnych: przed i po 2 lipca 2021 r.
The article is devoted to remote hearings in Polish civil procedure in the context of the right to a court and the right to defend one’s rights by a party to the proceedings. The aim of the article is to try to find the “golden mean”, which – when implemented in practice: 1. will be compliant with relevant regulations, including their goal of limiting the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus; 2. it will enable all (including those digitally excluded) citizens to exercise their constitutional right to a fair trial and the right to defend their rights in the proceedings already pending; 3. it will enable the efficient operation of the courts, minimizing the risk of obstruction of the proceedings by an entity that wants it to last as long as possible to the greatest possible extent. The article is devoted to the stage of making decisions about using an on-line hearing and will not deal with the problems and risks associated with the process of conducting such hearings. The considerations are based on two legal states: before and after July 2, 2021.

This paper describes a forgotten historical grammar book of Polish, which was published in the form of a multiplied typescript as a compilation of notes from the lectures delivered by Jan Otrębski at the Stefan Batory University of Vilnius in the 1930s. The notes were compiled by Otrębski’s student, Józef Trypućko. The study was published in 1933 and 1934 in two parts: one and three. Part two probably remained in the form of a manuscript. In the opinion of the authors, the study, although incomplete, provides an insight in the content of Otrębski’s lectures and the teaching of the historical grammar of Polish in Vilnius in the 1930s. It presents also the scholar’s innovative hypotheses, which cannot be found in the historical grammar books of that time.

Opis:
The aim of the article is to outline potential directions of changes in production processes in furniture manufacturing that may occur under the impact of Industry 4.0. The research methods used as part of the study include a critical literature review, nd a case study of a selected company operating in the furniture manufacturing sector supplemented with a survey. The results obtained indicate the impact of Industry 4.0 on enterprises operating in this sector, which is visible in their efforts aimed at modernizing their production processes. A particularly important direction of the changes involves the implementation of integrated systems, processing data in real time, which allows for customizing the manufacturing while meeting the requirements of mass production. The results obtained broaden the knowledge of the application of 4.0 technologies in areas that involve the use of simple technologies, including industries with low levels of innovation, i.e. in sectors traditionally not susceptible to revolutionary changes brought about by new production management technologies.
Celem badań, których wyniki zamieszczono w tym artykule, jest wskazanie możliwych kierunków zmian w procesach produkcji w sektorze producentów mebli, które mogą zajść pod wpływem Industry 4.0. Metodami badawczymi wykorzystanymi w badaniach są: krytyczny przegląd literatury, studium przypadku wybranej firmy sektora producentów mebli uzupełnione o badanie ankietowe. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na wpływ Industry 4.0 na przedsiębiorstwa z polskiego sektora produkcji mebli, który widoczny jest w dążeniu tych przedsiębiorstw do modernizacji procesów produkcji. Szczególnie istotnym kierunkiem zmian jest wprowadzanie systemów zintegrowanych przetwarzających dane w czasie rzeczywistym, które pozwalają na kastomizację produkcji przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu założenia masowości. Uzyskane wyniki poszerzą wiedzę w zakresie stosowania technologii 4.0 w obszarach prostych technologii i w sektorach o niskim poziomie innowacji, czyli w sektorach tradycyjnie niepodatnych na rewolucyjne zmiany wywoływane użyciem nowych technologii w zarządzaniu produkcją.

Guidelines of the French Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Society (SFORL) 2017. W konsekwencji również „Amerykańska Akademia Otorynolaryngologii, Chirurgii Głowy i Szyi” (AAO-HNS) opublikowała w kwietniu 2020 r. zaktualizowane wytyczne na ten temat. Na podstawie wymienionych opracowań oraz przeglądu literatury, przedstawiono główne metody leczenia stosowane w chorobie Meniere’a oraz ocenę ich skuteczności. W oparciu o aktualne zalecenia, a także doświadczenia własne Kliniki Otorynolaryngologii, Chirurgii Głowy i Szyi Warszawskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego, zaproponowano schemat terapeutyczny.

Opis:
The article is intended to answer the question of whether it is possible to fully automate electronic writ proceedings, and thus whether it is possible to replace the issuing court order court referendaries with a computer program. The analysis is conducted from the point of view of providing the parties with constitutional right to a court. At the same time, as an important element of consideration, the article presents an assessment of compliance with the Polish Constitution of current solutions, namely the power of court referendaries to issue payment orders. The considerations carried out in the article were preceded by a brief discussion of possible ways of using computer programs in justice, including artificial intelligence solutions.

We present an overview of current diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines on Ménière’s disease. Over the last five years, several guidelines and studies on this subject have been published, including The International consensus (ICON) on treatment of Méniere’s disease of 2018, The European Position Statement on Diagnosis, and Treatment of Ménière’s Disease, The Diagnostic and therapeutic strategy in Menière’s disease. Guidelines of the French Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Society (SFORL) of 2017 . Consequently, also the “American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery” (AAO-HNS) published updated recommendations on the subject in April 2020. On the basis of these studies and a literature review, the main treatment methods used in Ménière’s disease and an assessment of their effectiveness were presented. The current recommendations, as well as own experience of the Clinic of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the Medical University of Warsaw, gave grounds for proposing a therapeutic scheme.

This paper presents the assumptions of the Corpus of Polish until 1500, which is being developed as part of the project titled Baza leksykalna średniowiecznej polszczyzny (do 1500 roku). Fleksja (Lexical Database of Medieval Polish (until 1500). Infl ection). It introduces the fundamental objectives of the project, namely preparing an infl ectional description of all (infl ected) words from the time until 1500 and building a morphosyntactically annotated collection of texts from the same period. Afterwards, the authors discuss the present digital collections of Old Polish texts. In the main part of the paper, they present the criteria for selecting sources for the Corpus under creation and their elaboration methods, which refer to the solutions developed in the Electronic Corpus of Polish Texts from the 17th and 18th centuries (until 1772). Their major modifi cations aimed to adapt the structural and morphosyntactic annotations for the purpose of describing Mediaeval Polish are discussed on selected examples.

The article presents a description of the Old Polish nominal derivatives with the suffix -ota in terms of their etymology, word–formation and semantics. In addition, the issue of the productivity of nouns was raised – the words that retain lexical continuity in the history of the Polish language from Old Polish to modern Polish were discussed along the derivatives that have not survived in the Polish lexicon until today.

Punktem wyjścia antropologii i etyki Wojtyły jest – dany w doświadczeniu fenomenologicznym – fakt „człowiek działa”. W porządku metafizycznym osoba poprzedza swoje działanie, co filozofia klasyczna wyraża w adagium operari sequitur esse (działanie jest następstwem istnienia). W porządku epistemologicznym natomiast analiza działania jest źródłem wiedzy o podmiocie działającym, pozwala poznać nie tylko istnienie, ale także naturę tego, kto działa. W tym sensie analiza ludzkiej praxis leży u podstaw teorii człowieka, ujawnia duchową naturę osoby, która przejawia się w czynie. Wojtyła – zgodnie z nauką św. Tomasza – za sam rdzeń ludzkiej praxis uważał czyn człowieka (actus humanus). Czyn ma dwojakiego rodzaju skutki: przechodnie, które obiektywizują się w różnych wytworach ludzkiego działania i nieprzechodnie, które pozostają w podmiocie, osadzają się we wnętrzu osoby, czyniąc w niej zmiany natury moralnej. W artykule zostało podkreślone znaczenie nieprzechodnich skutków czynu dla moralnego wzrastania bądź degradacji osoby. Porównanie Karola Wojtyły koncepcji praxis z jej marksistowskim ujęciem pozwoliło wydobyć personalistyczny wymiar praxis. W tym znaczeniu praxis staje się terenem realizowania się człowieczeństwa zgodnie prawdą ludzkiego bytu. Dlatego antropologia Wojtyły nie ogranicza się do poznania prawdy o osobie, ale osiąga swe właściwe dopełnienie w antropo-praksji, czyli w przyjęciu prawdy za podstawę działania. Wychowanie, jako szczególny rodzaj działania, skierowane jest na spełnianie się osoby. Wychowanie personalistyczne, w którym wychowanek jest traktowany jako rozumna i wolna osoba, powinno uzdolnić go do spełniania czynów (dodajmy: moralnie dobrych czynów), a zarazem spełniania siebie w tych czynach. Zasługą Wojtyły jest pokazanie, że na drodze praxis – oprócz różnych celów fakultatywnych – realizuje się (na zasadzie nieprzechodnich skutków czynu) cel najważniejszy – stawanie się (fieri) człowieka moralnie dobrym. Osiągnięcie tego celu, określanego jako autoteleologia osoby, stanowi nie tylko o sensie wychowania, ale nade wszystko o sensie spełnionego życia.
The starting point of Wojtyła’s anthropology and ethics is the fact of ‘man acting,’ given in the phenomenological experience. In the metaphysical order the person precedes her actions, which was expressed in classical philosophy by means of the adage: operari sequitur esse (acting follows existence). In the epistemological order in turn an analysis of the subject’s actions makes it possible to recognize her not only in the aspect of her existence, but also in the aspect of her nature as an acting subject. In this sense an analysis of human praxis underlies philosophical anthropology, revealing the spiritual nature of the person manifested through her actions. Following St. Thomas Aquinas, Wojtyła considered a human act (actus humanus) as the core of human praxis. An action has consequences of two kinds. Its transitive consequences are objectified in its actual outward results, while its intransitive, enduring consequences remain within the acting person, introducing changes of moral nature in her. The article underscores the significance of the enduring consequences of an action for the moral growth (or moral degradation) of the person. A comparison of Wojtyła’s conception of praxis with its Marxist interpretation shows that praxis actually manifests a personalist dimension. In this sense praxis turns out the ground on which humanity finds its accomplishment in accordance with the truth about the human being. Thus Wojtyła’s anthropology, apart from expounding the truth about the human person, points to the significance of anthropo-praxis, namely to the fact that human actions need to be preformed with reference to the truth about things. Education, which is a special kind of action, is focused on the accomplishment of the person’s humanity. Personalist education, in which the student is approached as a rational and free person, should aim at enabling her to perform (morally good) actions and, through them, to accomplish her humanity. Wołtyła’s merit was to show that apart from attaining its facultative goals, praxis, due to the enduring consequences of the person’s actions, determines her becoming (fieri) morally good. The latter goal, described in terms of the autoteleology of the person determines not only the meaning of education, but above all the fulfillment of the human life. Translated by Dorota Chabrajska

Opis:
Analysis of working conditions in terms of ergonomics is an increasingly popular topic among industrial enterprises. This is primarily due to the development of departments responsible for maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, but also awareness of the impact of working conditions on maintaining safety and maintaining the rhythm of work. Care for working conditions translates into the possibility of maintaining the level of activities performed, which indirectly affects the quality of final products. Conducting activities in the field of shaping ergonomic working conditions in the context of continuous improvement based on the Deming cycle and the principles of conceptual ergonomics seem to be a key approach to care for work safety. Treating this process as a continuous and looped process gives you the ability to react quickly and predict adverse effects. However, constant control, observation, and analysis of the possibilities of implementing improvement solutions is important. The purpose of the article is to compare ergonomic working conditions at selected work stations with the assumptions and plans developed before launching the assembly line. The research included a comparative analysis of results in the form of ergonomic score obtained from TiCon software, based on MTM, UAS, and EAWS methods. The research was carried out at the turn of 2016-2020 in an automotive company dealing in the production of passenger car drive system components.

Autorzy przedstawiają przegląd aktualnych zaleceń diagnostycznych i terapeutycznych choroby Ménière’a. W ostatnich 5 latach ukazały się 4 opracowania na ten temat. W 2015 r. 5 towarzystw naukowych: Classification Committee of the Barany Society, Japan Society for Equilibrium Research, EAONO – European Academy of Otology and Neurotology, AAO-HNS – American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology – Head Neck Surgery, Korean Balance Society, przedstawiło uaktualnione wytyczne diagnostyki i leczenia tej choroby. W ślad za tym powstały opracowania wieloośrodkowe: International consensus (ICON) on treatment of Méniere’s disease 2018, European Position Statement on Diagnosis, and Treatment of Meniere’s Disease, Diagnostic and therapeutic strategy in Menière’s disease. Guidelines of the French Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Society (SFORL) 2017. Powyższe zalecenia uwzględniają najnowsze osiągnięcia diagnostyczne (badania RM ucha wewnętrznego), nowe badania elektrofizjologiczne oraz odnoszą się do powszechnie stosowanych metod leczenia, do raportowania wyników i uwzględniają jakość życia pacjentów po stosowanym leczeniu. Autorzy pracy przedstawiają główne problemy kliniczne w chorobie Ménière’a, zasady diagnostyki i leczenia stosowane w Warszawskiej Klinice Otolaryngologii w zakresie procedur diagnostycznych i leczniczych stosowanych w chorobie Ménière’a oraz odnoszą się do zasadniczych zmian zawartych w opublikowanych pracach.

Ménière’s disease (MD) is characterised by intermittent episodes of vertigo with fluctuating sensorineural hearing loss, tinnitus and aural fullness. Despite numerous studies, the etiology of this disorder remains poorly understood and thus diagnostic criteria are mainly clinical. Development and progress in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques, in 2007, has enabled visualisation of endolymphatic hydrops, which was the milestone achievement. We present two cases of patients with clinically confirmed MD with a set of audiological, otoneurological examinations and MRI performed. Structures of the inner ear were visualized using contrast-enhanced MR imaging after a 4-hour delayed intravenous gadolinium administration. The cochlea and vestibule were evaluated separately and classified using Barath grading scale. Endolymphatic hydrops in the clinically affected ears were confirmed using MRI. Due to disabling and intractable MD, a decision about vestibular neurectomy was made.

We present an overview of current diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines on Ménière’s disease. Over the last five years, four studies on this subject have been published. In 2015, five Societies including the Classification Committee of the Barany Society, Japan Society for Equilibrium Research, EAONO - European Academy of Otology and Neurotology, AAO-HNS - American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology - Head Neck Surgery, and Korean Balance Society have issued updated guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of Ménière’s disease. Other multi-center publications have since been published as well such as the International consensus (ICON) on treatment of Ménière’s disease 2018, European Position Statement on Diagnosis, and Treatment of Meniere’s Disease, Diagnostic and therapeutic strategy in Ménière’s disease, Guidelines of the French Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Society (SFORL) 2017. The above-listed recommendations include the most recent diagnostic advancements (e.g. inner ear MRI) and new electrophysiological tests, but also discuss other commonly used treatment modalities, result reporting and they take into account the quality of life of the patients following treatment. We present the main clinical challenges in managing Ménière’s disease, principles of diagnosis as well as the treatment introduced at our center. Finally, we discuss fundamental updates contained in the published papers.
