Opis:
Water invasion mechanism - called water coning - affects vertical wells completed above the Oil-Water contact (OWC) in oil reservoirs with bottom water. The objective of this study was to quantify the amount of by-passed oil for a variety of the bottom water well-reservoir systems with water invasion to wells and to assess feasibility of downhole water sink completions to reduce oil by-passing. A large statistical population of possible reservoirs with bottom-water has been created using databases of actual reservoir properties worldwide. Dimensional analysis coupled with Monte Carlo method allowed converting statistics of reservoir properties into dimensionless group distributions. Then, the amount of by-passed oil was correlated with the dimensionless groups using three--level full-factorial designed experiments conducted with a reservoir simulator. A reservoir - well system with bottom water was modelled using a commercial black oil simulator with two concentric radial layers of oil pay and the aquifer zone having different sizes and properties. The resulting dimensionless correlations determine the expected value of by-passed oil at the end of well's operation. The correlations are general as they cover a wide range of reservoir-well systems. When the correlations are coupled with the reservoirs' population the results show that, for example, more than 25 percent of movable oil volume could be by-passed in one half of all the bottom-water reservoirs. The study also identifies dimensionless groups that mostly control water invasion - the end-point mobility ratio and well spacing. The results also reveal two mechanism of water invasion: coning or uniform OWC advancement. Numerical reservoir simulation is also used to investigate the well completion's length and placement that would minimize oil bypassing and optimize recovery. Single completions of different penetration (length) are compared to dual well completions with Downhole Water Drainage/Sink (DWS), for new wells and marginal (watered-out) wells. The results show that the best completion strategy for both the new and the marginal wells is the use of (or intervention with) DWS completions. DWS would delay water breakthrough, stimulate oil inflow by reducing water saturation around the well, and maximize Net Present Value by accelerating recovery.
Mechanizm napływu wody, zwany tworzeniem się stożka wodnego, wpływa na otwory wiertnicze wykonane powyżej kontaktu ropa-woda w złożach ropy naftowej z podścielającą wodą złożową. Celem badań było określenie ilości przepuszczanej bocznym obiegiem ropy naftowej w różnych układach denno-złożowych z napływem wód do otworu, oraz ocena możliwości takiego wykonania dna otworu, by ograniczyć tego typu przepływ ropy naftowej. Stworzono statystycznie istotną liczbę złóż z wodą podścielającą na podstawie baz danych istniejących na świecie złóż. Stosując analizę przestrzenną oraz metodę Monte Carlo, przetworzono dane złożowe na bezwymiarowe rozkłady grupowe. Następnie ilość rozchodzącej się ropy naftowej została skorelowana z bezwymiarowymi grupami na podstawie trójpoziomowych, pełnych badań prowadzonych w symulatorze złożowym. Modelowano układ złoże-otwór z wodą podścielającą, wykorzystując przemysłowy symulator naftowy z dwoma koncentrycznymi, promienistymi warstwami ropnymi oraz warstwą wodonośną o różnych rozmiarach i różnych właściwościach. Uzyskane bezwymiarowe korelacje określają przewidywaną wartość przepływającej ropy pod koniec okresu działania otworu. Korelacje są ogólne, gdyż obejmują szeroki zakres układów złoże-otwór. Badania korelacyjne wykonywane z uwzględnieniem dużej liczby złóż wskazują między innymi, że ponad 25% objętości ruchomej ropy naftowej mogło przedostać się do połowy wszystkich złóż wody podścielającej. Badania określają również bezwymiarowe grupy, które w większości przypadków kontrolują napływ wody: stosunek końcowego współczynnika ruchliwości ropy i wody oraz odległości między otworami. Wyniki wskazują również na występowanie dwóch mechanizmów napływu wód: tworzenie się stożka wodnego lub przemieszczającego się kontaktu woda-ropa. Numeryczne symulacje złożowe wykorzystuje się również do badania długości wykonanego otworu oraz jego umiejscowienia w celu zminimalizowania ucieczek ropy i zoptymalizowania wydobycia. Metoda pojedynczego udostępnienia na różnych głębokościach została porównana z udostępnieniem dwoma otworami z wgłębnym systemem drenażowym, dla otworów nowych i marginalnych. Wyniki wskazują, że najlepszą strategią w przypadku otworów nowych i marginalnych jest zastosowanie (lub pojedyncza interwencja) metody drenażu wgłębnego. Opóźni ona przebicie wody, będzie stymulować dopływ ropy naftowej przez ograniczenie nasycenia wodą w warstwach wokół otworu i maksymalizować bieżącą wartość netto przez przyspieszenie produkcji.

The enigmatic marrellomorph arthropod Furca bohemica from the Upper Ordovician Letná Formation, is redescribed. Based on existing museum specimens and new material collected from the southern slope of Ostrý Hill (Beroun, Czech Republic), the morphology and taphonomy of F. bohemica is reappraised and expanded to produce a new anatomical interpretation. The previously distinct taxa F. pilosa and Furca sp., are synonymised with F. bohemica, the latter being represented by a tapho−series in which decay has obscured some of the diagnostic features. A cladistic analysis indicates close affinities between F. bohemica and the Hunsrück Slate marrellomorph Mimetaster hexagonalis, together forming the Family Mimetasteridae, contrary to previous models for marrellomorph internal relationships. As with other representatives of the group, the overall anatomy of F. bohemica is consistent with a benthic, or possibly nektobenthic, mode of life. The depositional setting of the Letná Formation indicates that F. bohemica inhabited a shallow marine environment, distinguishing it palaeoecologically from all other known marrellomorphs, which have been reported from the continental shelf.

As part of a comprehensive examination of all radiodontans from Cambrian localities in the USA, Pates et al. (2017a, b) and Pates and Daley (2017) revised the taxonomic affinities of several described specimens. This included the reinterpretation of two putative lobopodians, one from the Wheeler Formation (Utah, USA) and one from the Valdemiedes Formation (Spain), as frontal appendages of the radiodontan genera Stanleycaris and Caryosyntrips respectively. In their comment, Gámez Vintaned and Zhuravlev (2018) disagree with these conclusions and raise three topics for discussion: (i) anatomical features they suggest support a lobopodian affinity for “Mureropodia”; (ii) the identity of Caryosyntrips as a radiodontan, and the assignment of certain specimens to this genus; and (iii) the nomenclatural status of Stanleycaris hirpex as an invalid taxon. For (i), we dispute that the anatomical features put forward by Gámez Vintaned and Zhuravlev (2018) are biological and conclude that a lobopodian affinity for Mureropodia is untenable. In response to (ii), we provide further evidence supporting a radiodontan affinity for Caryosyntrips, and those specimens ascribed to this genus. Finally, we concur with (iii) Stanleycaris as an invalid taxon according to the International Code on Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN), and have rectified the situation by providing a valid systematic description.

Four models were created to study enterprise logistics. From the first one of them, the Logistic Model Based on Positions (LoMoBaP), one of its forty-four charges, the Physical Distribution Manager will be taken, and indicators will be generated to measure its performance, following, the third one of the models, the Logistic Model Based on Indicators of Positions (LoMoBaIPo). The objective of this work is to show how indicators of management can be used in enterprise logistics, following the LoMoBaIPo to apply to the Physical Distribution Manager of the LoMoBaP. To obtain this objective it will be followed the Integrated-Adaptable Methodology for the development of Decision Support System [IAMDSS], which for their flexibility is very useful in other works of investigation, that not necessarily generate a Decision Support System (DSS). As result a set of tables are obtained, that allows to evaluate the Physical distribution Manager across indicators.

Subject and purpose of work: This study aims to analyse the main elements of the green economic development as a framework for green finance and green investment. The analysis spurs from the underlying notion that green economics is inherently a normative framework and a school of thought development of the neo-classical economic thinking with conceptual assumptions, deficiencies, and contradictions, beginning to set out the roots, aims and philosophical principles. Materials and methods: The methods used are the analytical and descriptive ones based on the critical literature review and an experiential reflective attitude on the key issues concerning the variables of green economic development, green finance, and green investment. Conclusions: It is concluded that the implementation of green economy activities have many obstacles to face. The inadequate funding and the institutional support in collaborations and coordination practices are the most crucial.

The whitefly, Bemisia tabaci, an insect of the order Hemiptera which attacks more than 600 species of plants, is one of the most important agricultural pests around the world. The insecticidal Cry proteins from Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) are useful biological pesticides, and some are toxic to Hemipteran insects. In this study, Colombian native isolates of Bt were functionally characterized at molecular and biological levels. The strains contained between one and five different crystal shapes: round, triangular, amorphous, bipyramidal and squared. The strains presented between three to seven bands of proteins in their electrophoretic pattern that were organized into six groups according to their possible biological activity on insect pests. Cry1Aa, cry1Ab, cry1Ac, cry1B and cry1C genes were identified for PCR in the different Bt isolates. Bioassays were performed on tomato leaves whose surface was spread with 3 µg · ml−1 crude extract of Bt toxins. Second instar larvae of whitefly, which were placed on top of leaves and exposed to the toxins for 7 days, exhibited mortalities from 18 to 69%. The lethal concentration 50 (LC50) of ZBUJTL39, Bt kurstaki HD1 and ZCUJTL9 strains were 1.83, 1.85 and 2.16 μg · ml−1, respectively (p < 0.05). These results show that the native Bt strain ZBUJTL39, which contained the genes cry1Aa, cry1Ab, cryCa and cryBa could eventually be used for the development of an integrated management program together with other tools for the control of B. tabaci.

Diverse carbonaceous microfossils, including exceptionally preserved remains of non−biomineralizing metazoans, are reported from a basal middle Cambrian interval of the Kaili Formation (Guizhou Province, China). The application of a gentle acid maceration technique complements previous palynological studies by revealing a larger size−class of acritarchs, a richer assemblage of filamentous microfossils, and a variety of previously unrecovered forms. Metazoan fossils include Wiwaxia sclerites and elements derived from biomineralizing taxa, including chancelloriids, brachiopods and hyolithids, in common with previously studied assemblages from the early and middle Cambrian of Canada. In addition, the Kaili Formation has yielded pterobranch remains and an assemblage of cuticle fragments representing “soft−bodied” worms, including a priapulid−like scalidophoran. Our results demonstrate the wide distribution and palaeobiological importance of microscopic “Burgess Shale−type” fossils, and provide insights into the limitations and potential of this largely untapped preservational mode.

The Guanshan Biota (South China, Cambrian, Stage 4) contains a diverse assemblage of biomineralizing and non-biomineralizing animals. Sitting temporally between the Stage 3 Chengjiang and Wuliuan Kaili Biotas, the Guanshan Biota contains numerous fossil organisms that are exclusive to this exceptional deposit. The Guanshan Konservat-Lagerstätte is also unusual amongst Cambrian strata that preserve non-biomineralized material, as it was deposited in a relatively shallow water setting. In this contribution we double the diversity of radiodonts known from the Guanshan Biota from two to four, and describe the second species of Paranomalocaris. In addition, we report the first tamisiocaridid from South China, and confirm the presence of a tetraradial oral cone bearing small and large plates in “Anomalocaris” kunmingensis, the most abundant radiodont from the deposit. All four radiodont species, and three genera, are apparently endemic to the Guanshan Biota. When considered in the wider context of geographically and temporally comparable radiodont faunas, endemism in Guanshan radiodonts is most likely a consequence of the shallower and more proximal environment in which they lived. The strong coupling of free-swimming radiodonts and benthic communities underlines the complex relationship between the palaeobiogeographic and environmental distributions of prey and predators. This local adaptation of radiodonts to their prey is highlighted by the frontal appendage morphology of the two species of Paranomalocaris, apparently specialised to different feeding modes, while the recognition of the limited geographic range of some radiodont faunas highlights the importance of exploring as many deposits as possible to fully understand this group.

In the paper the results of the powder neutron diffraction measurements of RAuIn (R = Ce, Tb, Dy, and Er) and ZnFe$\text{}_{2}$O$\text{}_{4}$ compounds at low temperatures are presented. For the RAuIn compounds, which crystallize in the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type structure, the rare-earth moments lie in the ab-plane and form a typical triangle non-collinear structure. ZnFe$\text{}_{2}$O$\text{}_{4}$ has the normal spinel structure in which the Fe$\text{}^{3+}$ ions occupy the B sites, forming the corner-shared tetrahedra of the Fe spins. At low temperatures experimental data indicate the coexistence of the long-range and the short-range magnetic order. The obtained results suggest that the important factor which influences the magnetic ordering in these compounds is geometrical frustration of magnetic moments.

Objective: To assess current literature focused on the influence of functional training with blood flow restriction (BFR) on muscular adaptation in adults below the age of 65 years. Methods: A systematic literature search was performed with the following databases: PubMed, CINAHL Complete EBSCOhost, and ScienceDirect. Two researchers filtered the articles according to the criteria and quality, supported by the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) tool. Studies were limited to those with participants with a mean age between18 and 65 years. Articles were peer-reviewed, available in English, and utilized either multi-joint resistance exercises or functional exercise as the intervention. Results: The search yielded 16 studies on uninjured, older adult, injured and athletic subjects. Regardless of the population, the studies tended to favor BFR training for improvements of strength, but this was highly dependent on cuff pressure and training load. Conclusions: Current literature suggests that BFR with functional and or multi-joint strength training is successful in improving strength, hypertrophy, function and in pain reduction. Favorable results with functional BFR included procedures using relative and well-controlled occlusion pressure. More research is necessary to understand the effect of BFR on self-reported outcomes and hypertrophy in athletic and older adults.

In this paper, explain the preparation of CaTiO3 ceramics synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. Calcium carbonate and titanium dioxide were high energy mixed in stoichiometric amounts, and the obtained mixture was calcined at different temperatures (800, 900, 1000 and 1300ºC) for 2h. The obtained samples were characterized by measurement of particle size, Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) Analysis; differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and SEM images. XRD patterns indicated that CaTiO3 ceramics with the structure of perovskite is obtained from calcined powders at 1,300°C for 2h. SEM images show the formation of a very fine and homogeneous morphology. The measured values of electrical resistivity were within the typical range of insulating materials and approach values corresponding to insulating ceramics.

Hydrogen Assisted Cracking in a Microalloyed Steel Subjected to a Rapid Thermal Cycle at High Temperature

In a martensitic-bainitic microalloyed steel, the effect of hydrogen on fatigue crack growth was studied using rotary bending fatigue tests. The steel was subjected to a rapid thermal cycle to get a microstructure similar to that which would be formed within the coarse-grained heat-affected zone of a weld. Crack growth was monitored as a function of the number of cycles applied during fatigue tests on three types of specimens: 1) those without hydrogen charge, 2) those charged with hydrogen and 3) those charged with hydrogen which was then discharged through low-temperature heat treatment. All types showed persistent slip marks, and cracks propagated along high-shear-stress planes. In the presence of hydrogen, crack growth was affected by microstructural defects caused by the hydrogen charging process, and the persistent slip marks developed in an area closer to the crack tip and crack path. On the contrary, without hydrogen, crack growth occurred perpendicular to the applied force, and the persistent slip marks were fewer in number and further from the crack tip and crack path. This indicates that the plasticity increased (i.e., the damage that occurred in the presence of hydrogen matched the hydrogen-enhanced local plasticity mechanism).

Neutron powder-diffraction experiments on the highly Cr-substituted manganite, Nd$\text{}_{0.6}$Ca$\text{}_{0.4}$(Mn$\text{}_{0.5}$Cr$\text{}_{0.5}$)O$\text{}_{3}$, at different temperatures and fields reveal that the structure retains the charge exchange-type of the parent compound, Nd$\text{}_{0.6}$Ca$\text{}_{0.4}$MnO$\text{}_{3}$. It is antiferromagnetic below 200 K and becomes a canted antiferromagnet below 50 K. The Mn and Cr form zig-zag ferromagnetic chains coupled antiferromagnetically in the ac-plane. These are stacked along the b-axis with opposite spins.
