Crosstalk in wiring harness has been studied extensively for its importance in the naval ships electromagnetic compatibility field. An effective and high-efficiency method is proposed in this paper for analyzing Statistical Characteristics of crosstalk in wiring harness with random variation of position based on Polynomial Chaos Expansion (PCE). A typical 14-cable wiring harness was simulated as the object of research. Distance among interfering cable, affected cable and GND is synthesized and analyzed in both frequency domain and time domain. The model of naval ships wiring harness distribution parameter was established by utilizing Legendre orthogonal polynomials as basis functions along with prediction model of statistical characters. Detailed mean value, mean square error, probability density function and reasonable varying range of crosstalk in naval ships wiring harness are described in both time domain and frequency domain. Numerical experiment proves that the method proposed in this paper, not only has good consistency with the MC method can be applied in the naval ships EMC research field to provide theoretical support for guaranteeing safety, but also has better time-efficiency than the MC method. Therefore, the Polynomial Chaos Expansion method.

Opis:
Time-resolved photon counting technique was employed to study dynamics of photoluminescence from the ensemble and single CdSe/ZnS quantum dots with the alloyed core/shell interfaces. The ensemble data revealed enhanced effect of disorder-induced trap states for increasing emission energy, as implied from the changes in the distribution of total decay rates. The emission trajectories collected for single quantum dots showed familiar, two-state blinking pattern. It suggests that in a large-band-offset CdSe/ZnS system, the introduced alloying of the core-to-shell region cannot smooth enough the confinement potential in order to suppress nonradiative Auger recombination and blinking.

In our contribution we present the fabrication of $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ alloy by ion-implantation and millisecond flash lamp annealing. The 100 keV Ge ions at the fluence of $10 \times 10^{16}, 5 \times 10^{16}$, and $3 \times 10^{16} cm^{-2}$ were implanted into monocrystalline (100)-oriented Si wafers covered by 50 nm thermal oxide. In the consequence, the 50 nm amorphous Ge rich Si layers were obtained. The recrystallization of the implanted layers and the $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ alloying were accomplished by flash lamp annealing with the pulse duration of 20 ms. Flash lamp treatment at high energy densities leads to local melting of the Ge-rich silicon layer. Then the recrystallization takes place due to the millisecond range liquid phase epitaxy. Formation of the high quality monocrystalline $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ layer was confirmed by the μ-Raman spectroscopy, the Rutherford backscattering channeling and cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy investigation. The μ-Raman spectra reveal three phonon modes located at around 293, 404, and $432 cm^{-1}$ corresponding to the Ge-Ge, Si-Ge and Si-Si in the $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ alloy vibrational modes, respectively. Due to much higher carrier mobility in the $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ layers than in silicon such system can be used for the fabrication of advanced microelectronic devices.

Twinned dendrites in Al-Zn alloy with high Zn content (40% wt.%) were successfully prepared by directional solidification. At different directional solidification rates (1000 and 1500 μm/s), microstructures and growth orientation variations of Al twinned dendrite and non-twinned dendrite were characterized. By using the inverted trapezoidal graphite sleeve at 1000 μm/s, Al twinned dendrite were formed to developed feather crystal structures in longitudinal section. Its primary and secondary twinned dendrite were grew along [110] direction. Moreover the deviation angle between [110] direction of Al twinned dendrite and the heat flow direction was about 27.15°. While not using the inverted trapezoidal graphite sleeve at 1000 and 1500 μm/s, Al dendrite was the non-twinned dendrite and the twinned dendrite was not appeared. The experimental results showed that the higher temperature gradient, a certain pulling rate and convection environment were the formation conditions of twinned dendrites.

Opis:
The frictional resistance coefficient of ventilation of a roadway in a coal mine is a very important technical parameter in the design and renovation of mine ventilation. Calculations based on empirical formulae and field tests to calculate the resistance coefficient have limitations. An inversion method to calculate the mine ventilation resistance coefficient by using a few representative data of air flows and node pressures is proposed in this study. The mathematical model of the inversion method is developed based on the principle of least squares. The measured pressure and the calculated pressure deviation along with the measured flow and the calculated flow deviation are considered while defining the objective function, which also includes the node pressure, the air flow, and the ventilation resistance coefficient range constraints. The ventilation resistance coefficient inversion problem was converted to a nonlinear optimisation problem through the development of the model. A genetic algorithm (GA) was adopted to solve the ventilation resistance coefficient inversion problem. The GA was improved to enhance the global and the local search abilities of the algorithm for the ventilation resistance coefficient inversion problem.
Współczynnik oporu oporu wentylacji jezdni w kopalni węgla jest bardzo ważnym parametrem technicznym w projektowaniu i renowacji wentylacji kopalnianej. Obliczenia oparte na wzorach empirycznych i badaniach terenowych w celu obliczenia współczynnika oporu mają ograniczenia. W niniejszym badaniu proponuje się inwertowaną metodę obliczania współczynnika oporu wentylacji kopalni za pomocą kilku reprezentatywnych danych dotyczących przepływu powietrza i ciśnienia w węzłach. Model matematyczny metody inwersji jest opracowywany na zasadzie najmniejszych kwadratów. Zmierzone ciśnienie i obliczone odchylenie ciśnienia wraz z zmierzonym przepływem i obliczonym odchyleniem przepływu są uwzględniane przy określaniu obiektywnej funkcji, która obejmuje również ciśnienie w węźle, przepływ powietrza i ograniczenia współczynników oporu wentylacji. Problem odwrotności współczynnika oporu wentylacji został przekształcony w nieliniowy problem optymalizacji poprzez opracowanie modelu. Zastosowano algorytm genetyczny (GA) w celu rozwiązania problemu inwersji współczynnika oporu wentylacji. GA został ulepszony w celu zwiększenia globalnych i lokalnych możliwości wyszukiwania algorytmu problemu odwrotności współczynnika oporu wentylacji.

Based on the extended Huygens–Fresnel principle, the analytical expressions for the cross-spectral density function of mixed circular edge-screw dislocations beams propagating through atmospheric turbulence have been derived, and used to study the dynamic evolution of mixed circular edge-screw dislocations in free space and atmospheric turbulence. It is shown that the radius of circular edge dislocations increases with increasing propagation distance, and both the positions of the optical vortex and the center of circular edge dislocations are located at the point (0, 0) when mixed circular edge-screw dislocations propagate in free space. When mixed circular edge-screw dislocations propagate in the atmospheric turbulence, the position of optical vortices varies with increasing propagation distance, the circular edge dislocation evolves into a pair of optical vortices with the opposite topological charge ±1, and the pair of optical vortices will annihilate as soon as the propagation distance becomes large enough.

The parenchyma cellulose isolated from bagasse pith was used as an alternative resource for preparation of water-soluble cellouronic acid sodium salt (CAS). The influence of ultrasound treatment on the cellulose was investigated for obtaining CAS by regioselective oxidization using 4-acetamide-TEMPO and NaClO with NaClO2 as a primary oxidant in an aqueous buffer at pH 6.0. The yield, carboxylate content and polymerization degree (DP) of CAS were measured as a function of ultrasonic power, agitating time and cellulose consistency by an orthogonal test. The ultrasound-treated conditions were further improved by discussion of ultrasonic power, the most important factor influencing the yield and DP. An optimized CAS yield of 72.9% with DP value (DPv) of 212 was found when the ultrasonic strength is 550 W, agitating time is 3 h and cellulose consistency is 2.0%. The oxidation reactivity of cellulose was improved by ultrasonic irradiation, whereas no significant changes in crystallinity of cellulose were measured after ultrasonic treatment. Moreover, the ultrasound treatment has a greater effect on yielding CAS from parenchyma cellulose than from bagasse fibrous’ one. The CAS was further characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Five students of a rescue training school cycled at 50 W for 20 min at 20 oC before walking at 5 km/hr up to 30 min in a climatic chamber at 55 oC and 30% relative humidity. 4 different types of clothing ensembles differing in terms of thickness and thermal insulation value were tested on separate days. All subjects completed 28–30 min in light clothing, but quit after 20–27 min in 3 firefighter ensembles due to a rectal temperature of 39 oC or subjective fatigue. No difference in the evolution of mean skin or rectal temperature was seen for the 3 turnout ensembles. Sweat production amounted to about 1000 g in the turnout gears of which less than 20% evaporated. It was concluded that the small differences between the turnout gears in terms of design, thickness and insulation value had no effect on the resulting heat physiological strain for the given experimental conditions.

We report that defect solitons can be supported by kagome photonic lattices with a defect in biased photovoltaic-photorefractive crystals. For a positive defect, these defect solitons exist only in the semi-infinite bandgap and are stable in the low power region but unstable in the high power region. For a negative defect, these defect solitons exist in both of the semi-infinite bandgaps and the first bandgap. In the semi-infinite bandgap, low-power defect solitons are stable when the negative defect depth is low and unstable when the negative defect depth is high, moderate-power defect solitons are stable when the negative defect depth is high, and high-power defect solitons are unstable for all the negative defect depths. In the first bandgap, defect solitons are stable in all the power regions when the negative defect depth is low. When the negative defect depth is high, defect solitons are stable in the high power region and unstable in the low power region. On the other hand, these defect solitons are those studied previously in kagome photonic lattices with a defect in biased non-photovoltaic-photorefractive crystals when the bulk photovoltaic effect is negligible and those in kagome photonic lattices with a defect in photovoltaic-photorefractive crystals when the external bias field is absent.

Cold protective clothing was studied in 2 European Union projects. The objectives were (a) to examine different insulation calculation methods as measured on a manikin (serial or parallel), for the prediction of cold stress (IREQ); (b) to consider the effects of cold protective clothing on metabolic rate; (c) to evaluate the movement and wind correction of clothing insulation values. Tests were carried out on 8 subjects. The results showed the possibility of incorporating the effect of increases in metabolic rate values due to thick cold protective clothing into the IREQ model. Using the higher thermal insulation value from the serial method in the IREQ prediction, would lead to unacceptable cooling of the users. Thus, only the parallel insulation calculation method in EN 342:2004 should be used. The wind and motion correction equation (No. 2) gave realistic values for total resultant insulation; dynamic testing according to EN 342:2004 may be omitted.

Standard No. EN 15831:2004 provides 2 methods of calculating insulation: parallel and serial. The parallel method is similar to the global one defined in Standard No. ISO 9920:2007. Standards No. EN 342:2004, EN 14058:2004 and EN 13537:2002 refer to the methods defined in Standard No. EN ISO 15831:2004 for testing cold protective clothing or equipment. However, it is necessary to consider several issues, e.g., referring to measuring human subjects, when using the serial method. With one zone, there is no serial–parallel issue as the results are the same, while more zones increase the difference in insulation value between the methods. If insulation is evenly distributed, differences between the serial and parallel method are relatively small and proportional. However, with more insulation layers overlapping in heavy cold protective ensembles, the serial method produces higher insulation values than the parallel one and human studies. Therefore, the parallel method is recommended for standard testing.

Opis:
In low permeability outburst coal seam mine heading roadway, boreholes through the floor pre-drainage coal seam gas were used to eliminate the outburst risk of coal seam. Due to the low permeability, the gas pre-drainage time is long and the effect is poor, which further adds to the mining-excavation relay in the mine production and safety. In view of the above problems a study was conducted on the outburst prevention mechanism of the pre-cracking blasting and permeability improvement with the deep boreholes in the low permeability seam as well as on the improvement of the coal seam gas drainage rate. The description of the study is presented in the present paper. The results showed that after the pre-cracking blasting and permeability improvement technical measures with the deep boreholes completed in the low permeability outburst seam, the elastic potential of the seam was effectively released, the gas pressure gradient of the seam was reduced and the excitation outburst stress was effectively eliminated. The permeability coefficient of the seam was increased by150 times and the pure quantity of the gas drainage from the seam was 8-10 times higher than before the blasting operation was completed. The gas concentration in the working face is between 0.2-0.3% during the process of heading roadway. The drive speed was increased by 2 times.
W złożu o niskiej przepuszczalności w chodniku kopalnianym wykonano przezstropowo otwory wiertnicze do wstępnego odprowadzania gazów ze złoża w celu wyeliminowania ryzyka eksplozji. Słaba przepuszczalność złoża wpływa na długi czas i niezadowalający efekt wstępnego odprowadzania gazu, co dodatkowo opóźnia komunikację na linii wydobycia pod względem produkcji i bezpieczeństwa w kopalni. W świetle powyższych problemów przeprowadzono badanie nad mechanizmem ochrony przed wybuchem przy wysadzaniu przedszczelinowym oraz nad poprawą przepuszczalności poprzez wywiercenie głębokich otworów w złożu o niskiej przepuszczalności, a także nad usprawnieniem odprowadzania gazu ze złoża węgla kamiennego. W niniejszej publikacji przedstawiono opis badania. Wyniki wykazały, że po podjęciu kroków związanych z wysadzaniem przedszczelinowym dla poprawy przepuszczalności poprzez wykonanie głębokich otworów wiertniczych w złożu o słabej przepuszczalności uzyskano większą elastyczność złoża, obniżono gradient ciśnienia gazu w złożu oraz skutecznie wyeliminowano naprężenia występujące w wyniku inicjacji wybuchu. Współczynnik przepuszczalności złoża zwiększył się 150-krotnie, a ilość czystego gazu odprowadzanego ze złoża poprawiła się 8-10-krotnie w stosunku do jakości sprzed wysadzania. Stężenie gazu w przodku roboczym wyniosło 0,2-0,3% w momencie głębienia chodnika. Prędkość zwiększyła się dwukrotnie.

The exquisitely preserved longipterygid enantiornithine Rapaxavis pani is redescribed here after more extensive preparation. A complete review of its morphology is presented based on information gathered before and after preparation. Among other features, Rapaxavis pani is characterized by having an elongate rostrum (close to 60% of the skull length), rostrally restricted dentition, and schizorhinal external nares. Yet, the most puzzling feature of this bird is the presence of a pair of pectoral bones (here termed paracoracoidal ossifications) that, with the exception of the enantiornithine Concornis lacustris, are unknown within Aves. Particularly notable is the presence of a distal tarsal cap, formed by the fusion of distal tarsal elements, a feature that is controversial in non−ornithuromorph birds. The holotype and only known specimen of Rapaxavis pani thus reveals important information for better understanding the anatomy and phylogenetic relationships of longipterygids, in particular, as well as basal birds as a whole.

Opis:
Different semiconductor nanocrystals synthesized in dielectrics on silicon are very interesting for applications in non-volatile memories and photovoltaics. In this paper we present an overview of microstructural and opto-electronic properties of different III-V quantum dots embedded in $SiO_2$ and $Si_3N_4$ made by sequential ion implantation and millisecond range flash lamp annealing. It is shown that within 20 ms post-implantation annealing high quality crystalline III-V quantum dots can be formed in different matrices. Formation of crystalline III-V quantum dots was confirmed by cross-section transmission electron microscopy, photoluminescence and μ-Raman spectroscopy. Flash lamp annealing is essentially a single-flash-single-wafer technique whose main attributes are the ease and control of processing over large wafer batches.
