Opis:
The pure Ni and Ni-S ageing systems, thermally aged and also irradiated by 5 MeV electrons at 270 K with subsequent annealing, are studied by means of positron annihilation spectroscopy. The formation of ultrafine S-rich precipitates (clusters) is observed in Ni-S during thermal ageing at about 650 K. It is assumed that these clusters do not contain vacancy-type defects and they are coherent to the Ni matrix. The positrons localize in sulphur clusters that is due to affinity-induced confinement. In irradiated Ni-S system, the mobile vacancy-S atom complexes are formed at post-irradiation annealing above 350 K (stage III). These complexes form the three-dimensional vacancy clusters (nanovoids) decorated with S atoms. The radiation induced nucleation of S-rich clusters occurs when nanovoids dissociate.

Opis:
This article explores modern methods of reclamation of lands disturbed processes of mining, based on monitoring disturbed lands using unmanned aircraft and dusty surfaces coated biologically active adhesive, biological foam. In the article new highly efficint methods of remote monitoring of environment components are considered on based of unmanned aircrafts. For monitoring, it is suggested to draw complexes based of small unmanned aircraft vehicle, equipped with special equipment (a digital camera, a thermal imaging camera, dust meter). Land reclamation on the biological stage is encouraged by using new bioadhesives, developed on the basis of polysaccharides and various microorganisms. This composition helps reduce the consumption of fertilizers, pesticides and other components, pioneer in growing crops on dusty surfaces in the disturbed lands. As a result of such an event, dust discharge from the surface technogenic structures is reduced up to 10 times.

Secondary processing of waste from metallurgical and other industries becomes an urgent issue in the face of increasing anthropogenic pressure and a shortage of sources of materials. The paper shows the results of chemical and technological studies of processes, executing in the Cu(II) – Cu(I) – Cl- – CO – H2О system. The processing technology of copper-bearing intermediate products multicomponent leaching solutions, permitting high purity copper production at the least economic cost, is proposed.

Opis:
We present the results of THz luminescence investigations in structures with Si-doped quantum wells and Be-doped GaAsN layers under strong lateral electric field. The peculiar property of these structures is the presence of resonant impurity states which arise due to dimensional quantization in quantum wells and due to built-in strain in GaAsN epilayers. The experimentally obtained THz emission spectra consist of the lines attributed to intra-center electron transitions between resonant and localized impurity states and to the electron transitions involving the subband states. Absorption of THz radiation and its temperature dependence was also studied in structure with tunnel-coupled quantum wells at equilibrium conditions and under electric field.

Opis:
Previously unpublished trionychid turtle material from the Upper Cretaceous (Santonian–lower Campanian) Bostobe Formation from the Baybishe and Baykhozha localities in Kazakhstan is described. The material represents a new species of Khunnuchelys, a large, skull-based clade of Cretaceous Asian trionychids. Concordant with other partial skulls and fragmentary specimens described previously, Khunnuchelys lophorhothon sp. nov. has the unusual features of a beaklike maxilla and a vaulted, expanded triturating surface. In addition, the specimens reveal novel features including a constricted skull roof. Although estimates of the length of the carapace differ depending on estimation method, the skull belonged to a turtle of comparable size to the shell-based species “Trionyx” kansaiensis from the same formation. It is likely that K. lophorhothon and “T.” kansaiensis are synonymous, but this can be proved only by a find of associated skull and shell material.
