    Opis:
    Transport intermodalny pociąga za sobą wiele korzyści zarówno w skali makro jak i mikro. W tym celu należy dążyć do realizacji szeregu kompleksowych działań, zapewniających transportowi intermodalnemu warunki rozwoju, w szczególności dostęp do odpowiedniej infrastruktury. Na efektywność tego typu transportu wpływa między innymi sieć terminali intermodalnych. Słabo rozwinięta infrastruktura uniemożliwia rozwój transportu kombinowanego. W Polsce parametry techniczne, w tym możliwości przeładunkowe i składowe, większości terminali są niewystarczające do obsłużenia ilości ładunków wynikających ze strategii rozwoju transportu. Jednak prowadzone inwestycje w modernizację istniejących terminali oraz tworzenie nowych w znacznym stopniu przyczyniają się do polepszenia sytuacji Polski na europejskim rynku przewozów intermodalnych.
    transport infrastructure in Poland Intermodal transport results in many benefits both at the macro and micro level. To do this it should be made to realize a series of comprehensive activities to ensure the conditions for the development of intermodal transport, in particular the access to the suitable infrastructure. The effectiveness of this type of transport depends significantly on adequate network of intermodal terminals. The poorly developed infrastructure makes the development of combined transport impossible. In Poland, the technical parameters, including handling and storage capabilities, of most terminals are insufficient to handle the large amounts of cargo that should be transported according to transport strategy. However, further investments in the modernization of existing terminals and creating the new ones contribute to improve the Polish situation on the European market of intermodal transport.

    Opis:
    Ecto-purines and ecto-pyrimidines are present in the extracellular space of the central nervous system (CNS). Together with P1 and P2 receptors and nucleotides metabolizing ecto-enzymes, they make signaling system involved in neurotransmission, the modulation of sensory signals, including pain stimuli conduction, and the induction of apoptosis and necrosis of the cells. Purines and pyrimidines have a dual effect: positive (neuroprotective) of nucleosides, and negative (pro-inflammatory and pro-apoptotic) of nucleotides. Adenosine-5'-triphosphate (ATP) in the CNS triggers the pro-inflammatory reactions, predominantly by activation of the P2X7 receptor, which results in production and release of pro-inflammatory cytokines. In contrast to ATP, adenosine acts generally as an anti-inflammatory agent and plays an important role in neuroprotection. Currently, it is believed that the initiation of CNS diseases, including mental disorders, is caused by any imbalance between the concentration of ATP and adenosine in the extracellular space. Genetic tests provide also the evidence for the participation of purinergic signaling in psychiatric disorders. It is believed that any action leading to the effective increase of adenosine concentration: activation of nucleotide metabolizing ecto-enzymes (mainly NTPDases - nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolases), inhibition of adenosine deaminase and/or adenosine kinase activity as well as therapies using P1 receptor agonists (adenosine or its analogues) might be beneficial in therapy of psychiatric disorders.

    Tematem artykułu jest zbadanie wpływu jaki może wywierać wydawca na sposób i zakres odzwierciedlenia w tekście przekładu elementów trzeciej kultury. Omówione zostaną kolejno: kwestia obcości w przekładzie, zjawisko elementów trzeciej kultury oraz zagadnienie funkcjonowania patronatu w systemie literackim. Badanie będzie miało formę analizy translatologicznej. Za materiał badawczy posłuży opowiadanie „The Room in Le Dragon Volant” ze zbioru "In a Glass Darkly", autorstwa XIX-wiecznego, irlandzkiego pisarza  Sheridana Le Fanu oraz przekład utworu na język polski, „Pokój w gospodzie Le Dragon Volant”, autorki artykułu, pochodzący z tomu "W ciemnym zwierciadle". Omówiony zostanie sposób przekładu wybranych wtrętów francuskojęzycznych, zwrotu adresatywnego i dwóch realogizmów oraz zalecenia redaktora dotyczące sposobu ich transpozycji w języku polskim, jak również wynik uzgodnień pomiędzy redaktorem i tłumaczką oraz wpływ ostatecznego rozwiązania na poziom obcości tekstu docelowego. Artykuł zakończy prezentacja wniosków odnośnie wpływu wydawnictwa na przekład elementów trzeciej kultury i roli jaką tłumacz odgrywa w procesie ich adekwatnego odzwierciedlenia w języku docelowym.
    The subject of the article is a research into the influence exerted by the publisher on the way and scope of rendering third culture elements in the translated text. The concept of the foreign in translation, idea of third culture elements and the issue of patronage in the literary system will be discussed in turn. The research material is a story in English titled “The Room in Le Dragon Volant” from a collection In a Glass Darkly, written by the 19th century Irish writer, Sheridan Le Fanu and its translation into Polish by the author of the article, published under the title "Pokój w gospodzie Le Dragon Volant", in a collection W ciemnym zwierciadle. The research will involve an analysis of translation of selected examples of third culture elements, a term of address and two proper nouns in French and the discussion of recommendations from the editor regarding their transposition in the Polish language. The result of negotiations between the editor and the translator and the consequences of the adopted solution for the achieved level of foreignness in the target text will be presented. Finally, conclusions regarding the influence exerted by the publisher on the way of translation of third culture elements and the role of translator in the process of their rendering in the target language will be formulated.

    Thepurpose of this article was topresent theAmerican Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP). An importer of food is required to develop, maintain, and follow a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FS VP) to ensure that eachfood product it imports meets FDA food safety standards. Specifically, an importer s FS VP must provide adequate assurances that: (a) the importer ’sforeign suppliers produce food with the same level of public health protection as those required by FDA for domestically produced food; and (b) the importer’s foreign suppliers produce food that is not adulterated or misbranded. The FSVP regulations apply to all FDA-regulated food imported or oflered for import into the United States.
    Celem artykułu było przedstawienie Amerykańskiego Programu Weryfikacji Dostawców Zagranicznych (FSVP). Importer żywności jest zobowiązany do opracowania, utrzymywania i przestrzegania Programu Weryfikacji Dostawców Zagranicznych (FSVP) w celu zapewnienia, że każda importowana żywność spełnia normy bezpieczeństwa żywności FDA. W szczególności FSVP importera musi zapewnić odpowiednie gwarancje, że: (a) zagraniczni dostawcy importera produkują żywność o takim samym poziomie ochrony zdrowia publicznego, jak wymagany przez FDA dla żywności produkowanej w kraju; oraz b) zagraniczni dostawcy importera produkują żywność, która nie jest zafałszowana ani błędnie oznakowana. Przepisy FSVP mają zastosowanie do całej żywności podlegającej przepisom FDA, importowanej lub oferowanej do importu do Stanów Zjednoczonych.
