Opis:
This paper addresses the asymptotic stability analysis problem for a class of linear large-scale systems with time delay in the state of each subsystem as well as in the interconnections. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, a delay-dependent criterion for stability analysis of the systems is derived in terms of a linear matrix inequality (LMI). Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed result.

The robust H∞ control problem is considered for a class of uncertain neutral system involving both state and control input time-varying delays. The uncertainties under consideration are nonlinear time-varying parameter perturbations. The methodology is based on the Lyapunov functional combined with a unified LMI approach, and a new delay-dependent criterion is proposed to guarantee the stabilization and disturbance attenuation of systems. Moreover, a convex optimization approach is used to solve the robust H∞ control disturbance attenuation problem. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to show the validity of this paper. The simulation results reveal significant improvement over the recent results.

In this study, an effective optimization approach was proposed to improve acoustical behaviors of PU foams. The important parameters of PU foams: content of water, silicone oil and catalyst A1 were chosen and their effects on sound absorption coefficient and transmission loss of PU foams were studied by using Taguchi methods. In addition, bamboo chips were incorporated into PU foams as fillers to improve the acoustical properties of PU foams. Four controlled factors: the content of water, silicone oil, catalyst A1 and bamboo chips with three levels for each factor were chosen and Taguchi method based on orthogonal array L9 (34) was employed to conduct the experiments. Based on the results of Taguchi’s orthogonal array L9 (34), signal-to noise (S/N) analysis was used and developed to determine an optimal formulation of PU-bamboo-chips foam composites.

A novel method for optical generation of ultra-wideband signals with a reconfigurable spectral notch-band is proposed. In the proposed system, ultra-wideband signals are generated in the optical domain and an optical tunable delay line is deployed to introduce a notch-band to the spectral profile of the generated ultra-wideband signals, which can effectively avoid the signal interference between ultra-wideband signals and pre-planned narrowband wireless signals used in wireless local area networks (WLAN). A theoretical model describing the proposed system is derived; the optical generation and fiber transmission of ultra-wideband signals with a reconfigurable notch-band are demonstrated via computer simulations.

The risk level of the Aids to Navigation (AtoNs) can reflect the ship navigation safety level in the channel to some extent. In order to appreciate the risk level of the aids to navigation (AtoNs) in a navigation channel and to provide some decision‐making suggestions for the AtoNs Maintenance and Management Department, the risk assessment index system of the AtoNs was built considering the advanced experience of IALA. Under the Formal Safety Assessment frame, taking the advantages of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the fuzzy‐FSA model of risk assessment for aids to navigation was established. The model was implemented for the assessment of aids to navigation in Shanghai area based on the aids to navigation three‐dimensional simulation system. The real‐time data were extracted from the existing information system of aids to navigation, and the real‐time risk assessment for aids to navigation of the chosen channel was performed on platform of the three‐dimensional simulation system, with the risk assessment software. Specifically, the deep‐water channel of the Yangtze River estuary was taken as an example to illustrate the general assessment procedure. The method proposed presents practical significance and application prospect on the maintenance and management of the aids to navigation.

Palygorskite (PG) supported La1-xSrxMnO3 catalysts were fabricated by copreripitation. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), specific surface area (SSA) and H2 temperature programmed reduction (H 2-TPR). Catalytic activity for VOCs was examined by using toluene as a model compound. The results show that the surface area as well as mechanical strength of catalysts increase substantially after catalysts loaded in PG. XRD patterns show that after calcination at 700 0C, PG as a support in 9% LaMn03/PG and 9% La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/PG was transformed into amorphous phase and the morphology was not destroyed. It was well established that the main reductive components are factually Mn(III) or Mn(IV) oxides in catalysts based on the results of TPR. It was also found that Mn(IV) increases while Mn(III) reduces responding with the increasing amount of Sr. Toluene conversion rate of as-preparedμ% La1-xSr xMnO3/PG increases with the increasing values of x and μ when x=0-0.3 and μ = 3-9%. Toluene can be converted completely at 285 0C by 9% La0.7Sr0.3MnO3/PG catalyst while no significant change was observed after addition on the doping and loading amount of Sr. During a 100 h stability experiment of 9% La 0.7Sr0.3MnO3/PG catalyst, toluene removal was found to be above 95%.

Monoaromatic pollutants such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and mixture of xylenes are now considered as widespread contaminants of groundwater. In situ bioremediation under natural attenuation or enhanced remediation has been successfully used for removal of organic pollutants, including monoaromatic compounds, from groundwater. Results published indicate that in some sites, intrinsic bioremediation can reduce the monoaromatic compounds content of contaminated water to reach standard levels of potable water. However, engineering bioremediation is faster and more efficient. Also, studies have shown that enhanced anaerobic bioremediation can be applied for many BTEX contaminated groundwaters, as it is simple, applicable and economical.This paper reviews microbiology and metabolism of monoaromatic biodegradation and in situ bioremediation for BTEX removal from groundwater under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. It also discusses the factors affecting and limiting bioremediation processes and interactions between monoaromatic pollutants and other compounds during the remediation processes.

Piezoelectric gauges were used to measure the shock wave overpressure of aluminized explosives and of a TNT charge. An infrared thermal-imaging spectrometer was used to collect the infrared signatures produced by the explosion fireball when the examined explosives were detonated. The measurement of the infrared signatures was used to estimate the surface temperatures and the dimensions of the fireball. Two aluminized explosive compositions (RDX/Al/AP and RDX/Al/B/AP) have been analyzed. 500 g charges of the aluminized explosives were prepared and studied, and their TNT equivalences were calculated according to the experimental data and the explosion law. The highest surface temperatures of the fireballs of these aluminized explosives were up to 1600 °C, which was higher than that of the TNT charge. In the region of the highest surface temperature above 700 °C, the duration for the composition RDX/Al/AP was about 232 ms (2.73 times more than TNT), whilst RDX/Al/B/AP was about 360 ms. The fireballs obtained from the explosion of these aluminized explosives had larger dimensions than that of TNT, especially when the surface temperature was above 1000 °C. The test results indicate that the addition of boron powders to aluminized explosives is a good way to enhance their blast effect, to improve the temperature of the explosion field and to prolong the duration of the higher temperature.

As an important quality characteristic, maintainability is the ability of a product to be repaired efficiently and economically. Because it is mainly determined at the design stage, maintainability is mostly affected by the construction of a product. Traditional product design methods put more focus on design for function and production, neglecting design for maintainability, which causes a gap between functional construction design and maintainability design. The delay of maintainability design results in huge costs for design changes and even irrevocable design flaws. Because of the weak relationship between functional construction and maintainability in product design, the influence of maintainability design on the product is limited. To resolve this problem, this paper proposes a design approach considering the relationship between maintainability and functional construction. First, maintainability design factors (MDFs) and functional construction design factors (FCDFs) are defined and classified. Second, based on topology graphic theory, a correlative relationship model is constructed by graphically combining the MDFs and FCDFs into a network diagram. Third, to determine primary design factors, a quantization matrix is developed to perform importance evaluation of the correlative relationship. Finally, a practical case is studied by implementing the proposed approach for the lubrication system of an armoured vehicle. The results validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the approach.
Konserwowalność to ważna charakterystyka jakościowa, którą można zdefiniować jako możliwość wydajnej i ekonomicznej naprawy produktu. Ponieważ o konserwowalności produktu decydują głównie wybory dokonane na etapie projektowania, największy wpływ na nią ma budowa produktu. Tradycyjne metody projektowania produktów kładą większy nacisk na projektowanie funkcji i produkcji, zaniedbując projektowanie pod kątem łatwości konserwacji, co powoduje powstanie luki między projektowaniem funkcjonalnej budowy produktu a projektowaniem jego konserwowalności. Opóźnienie etapu projektowania konserwowalności generuje ogromne koszty związane z koniecznością zmian projektu i może nawet prowadzić do nieodwracalnych wad projektowych. Ze względu na słabą zależność między budową funkcjonalną a konserwowalnością w projektowaniu produktu, wpływ projektowania konserwowalności na produkt jest ograniczony. Aby rozwiązać ten problem, w niniejszej pracy zaproponowano podejście projektowe uwzględniające związek między konserwowalnością a budową funkcjonalną wyrobu. Po pierwsze, zdefiniowano i sklasyfikowano czynniki konstrukcyjne (projektowe) dotyczące konserwowalności (MDF) oraz czynniki konstrukcyjne związane z budową funkcjonalną produktu (FCDF). Po drugie, w oparciu o teorię graficznej reprezentacji topologii, zbudowano model zależności korelacyjnych między MDF i FCDF w postaci diagramu sieciowego. Po trzecie, w celu określenia podstawowych czynników konstrukcyjnych, opracowano macierz kwantyzacji, pozwalającą na ocenę ważności relacji korelacyjnych. Wreszcie, przeanalizowano przypadek układu smarowania pojazdu opancerzonego jako przykład zastosowania proponowanego podejścia w praktyce. Wyniki potwierdzają skuteczność omawianego podejścia oraz możliwość jego praktycznego wykorzystania.

The interfacial particle velocities for CL-20 and CL-20-based aluminized mixed explosives were measured by interferometry in order to analyze the aluminum reactions in the latter. The reaction characteristics were obtained, as well as a better understanding of the effects of aluminum powder on the detonation reaction zone length. Two functions were used to fit the particle velocity-time profiles, and their intersection was the corresponding Chapman-Jouget (CJ) point. From these profiles, the detonation reaction zone length and the aluminum reaction were then analyzed. CL-20-based explosives have a short reaction time (48 ns for a high CL-20 content), while the reaction time of CL-20/Al explosives increased with the aluminum content and particle size. Micron-scale aluminum particles barely reacted in the CL-20 detonation reaction zone, but instead reacted with the detonation products after the CJ point. This reduced the detonation pressure; however, the aluminum reaction can slow down the decrease in particle velocities. The start times of small-particle aluminum reactions were earlier than those of the larger particles. The 2-3-μm aluminum particles start to react within 1 μs after the CJ point, while the 200-nm particles may start to react in the reaction zone.
