Opis:
This paper deals with the modelling of traction linear induction motors (LIMs) for public transportation. The magnetic end effect inherent to these motors causes an asymmetry of their phase impedances. Thus, if the LIM is supplied from the three-phase symmetrical voltage, its phase currents become asymmetric. This effect must be taken into consideration when simulating the LIMs’ performance. Otherwise, when the motor phase currents are assumed to be symmetric in the simulation, the simulation results are in error. This paper investigates the LIM performance, considering the end-effect induced asymmetry of the phase currents, and presents a comparative study of the LIM performance characteristics in both the voltage and the current mode.

Objectives: This study aimed to conduct a 2-year follow-up of mental disorders in healthcare workers (HCWs) in a region of China outside the epidemic’s core zone who happened to be directly or possibly exposed to persons with COVID-19. Material and Methods: A cognitive analysis scale was utilized in the evaluation the mental or emotional state of HCWs at Xuzhou Medical University’s affiliated hospital in the city of Xuzhou, China (a non-core epidemic area) 2 years after the first assessment during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 165 HCWs were selected as the study subjects. In accordance to the exposure risk of COVID-19 patients, the subjects were separated into 2 categories: a group with a high risk HCW (HHCW) (HCWs working in COVID-19-positive wards; N = 91) and a group with a minimal risk HCW (LHCW) (HCWs who worked in wards without COVID-19 patients at the same hospital; N = 75). The clinical as well as demographic information of every HCWs were collected. Results: The demographic data revealed significant differences in terms of occupation, remuneration, and selfless concerns amidst both categories (p < 0.05). There lacked a statistically notable difference in the occurrence of PTSD between the 2 groups. Data was analyzed for factors associated with PTSD, and the results showed that psychological resilience, job risk, and stress in the workplace were risk factors for PTSD. Additionally, the results of the logistic regression analysis showed that psychological resilience was a significant shared risk factor for PTSD in HCWs after the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusions: The 2-year follow-up showed no statistical difference in the incidence of PTSD between the HHCW group and the LHCW group. Workplace stress, occupational hazards, and psychological resilience were the major contributing risk factors for PTSD in HCWs.

This research addresses an inventory classification problem in a company that manufactures plastic pallets. Classification of the inventory is difficult because it is subject to two restrictions: the number of changeovers and the size of inventory storage. A mathematical model is first proposed to maximize the fill rate by classifying all product items into four groups. Due to all items can be classified based on the monthly demand, in descending order. The present study then proposed a procedure to find the classification that is most efficient. According to the experimental results, the maximum fill rate in the current situation is 89.85%. The proposed methodology also tested different production batches and levels of demand. The proposed methodology was found to be appropriate for practical application.

The weight of an SRkDF $f$ is $ \Sigma_{ v \in V (D) } f(v) $. The signed Roman $k$-domination number $ \gamma_{sR}^k (D) $ of a digraph $D$ is the minimum weight of an SRkDF on $D$. We determine the exact values of the signed Roman $k$-domination number of some special classes of digraphs and establish some bounds on the signed Roman $k$-domination number of general digraphs. In particular, for an oriented tree $T$ of order $n$, we show that $ \gamma_{sR}^2 (T) \ge (n + 3)//2 $, and we characterize the oriented trees achieving this lower bound.

A vertex subset $S$ of a digraph $D$ is called a dominating set of $D$ if every vertex not in $S$ is adjacent from at least one vertex in $S$. The domination number of a digraph $D$, denoted by $ \gamma(D) $, is the minimum cardinality of a dominating set of $D$. A Roman dominating function (RDF) on a digraph $D$ is a function $ f : V (D) \rightarrow {0, 1, 2} $ satisfying the condition that every vertex $v$ with $f(v) = 0$ has an in-neighbor $u$ with $f(u) = 2$. The weight of an RDF $f$ is the value $ \omega (f) = \Sigma_{ v \in V(D) } f(v) $. The Roman domination number of a digraph $D$, denoted by $ \gamma_R (D) $, is the minimum weight of an RDF on $D$. A coupling model between turbine blades with a varying rotating speed and oncoming vortices is constructed, where the coupling of the structure and the fluid is simulated by the van der Pol oscillation. Partial differential governing equations of motions for the coupled system are obtained and discretized by using the Galerkin method. The 1:2 subharmonic resonance and the 1:1 internal resonance are investigated with the multiple scale method and first-order averaged equations are then derived. Nonlinear responses and bifurcation characteristics are studied by a numerical integration method. Stability of bifurcation curves is determined by utilizing the Routh-Hurwitz criterion. The effect of system parameters including the detuning parameter, steady-state rotating speed, amplitude of periodic perturbation for the rotating speed and freestream velocity on vibration responses are investigated.

Capacitive leakage and adjacent interference are the main influence sources of the measuring error in the traditional series step-up method. To solve the two problems, a new algorithm was proposed in this study based on a three-ports network. Considering the two influences, it has been proved that response of this three-ports network still has characteristics of linear superposition with this new algorithm. In this threeport network, the auxiliary series voltage transformers use a two-stage structure that can further decrease measurement uncertainty. The measurement uncertainty of this proposed method at 500/√3 kV is 6.8 ppm for ratio error and 7 μrad for phase displacement ( k = 2). This new method has also been verified by comparing its results with measurement results of the PTB in Germany over the same 110/√3 kV standard voltage transformer. According to test results, the error between the two methods was less than 2.7 ppm for ratio error and 2.9 μrad for phase displacement.

In the hybrid multiple H-bridge topology of beam supply, the load change of a DC/DC full-bridge converter can greatly affect the output voltage during onsite operation. An improved sliding mode control (SMC) strategy is thus proposed in this paper, where the rate of switching control is added to the law of system equivalent control to create a law that can realize a complete sliding mode control. Considering the special operating conditions of the load can have an influence on the performance of the controller, the impact of uncertainty existing in onsite conditions is suppressed with the proposed strategy utilized. The validity of the proposed strategy, finally, is verified by simulation, which proves the outperformance of the system in both robustness and dynamics.

Individual bolt at key connection positions is prone to loose when the engine is cycle-operating under complex loads. A joint surface equivalent stiffness model is derived and developed based on the connection characteristics of bolt screwing in the multi-exciting environment of the high-pressure rotor. The model is used to analyse the effect of bolt missing at circumferential positions with the equivalent stiffness loss. Vibration experiments under both axial force and lateral impact were carried out to obtain the dynamic response feature of the multistage disk-drum simulated rotor with missing one bolt at different positions. The Spearman correlation coefficient was applied to evaluate the identification effect of different measuring points on the bolt loosening position. The study shows that the eigenfrequencies of experimental results have a consistent trend with the equivalent stiffness variation caused by single bolt missing model. This method also provides a theoretical basis for the detection of bolt deviation position with multi-exciting vibration detection.

Machining center is the complex machinery, with high level automation and complicated structures, so there are lots of failures. When a random failure occurs, the failed machining center stops and causes a production line or even the whole workshop to stop functioning. The frequent failure leads to the low levels of reliability and production rate. In order to help users and manufacturers optimize maintenance policy to improve the reliability for machining center, this paper presents descriptive statistics of the failure data and develops the failure trend using power-law process, simultaneously establishes the routine inspection and regular inspection as well as the sequential preventive maintenance under maintenance cost constraints. The proposed model could be a useful tool to assess the current conditions, predict reliability and optimize the machining center maintenance policy.
Centrum obróbkowe to skomplikowany mechanizm o wysokim poziomie automatyzacji oraz złożonej konstrukcji, w związku z czym ulega licznym uszkodzeniom. Przy wystąpieniu przypadkowej awarii, uszkodzone centrum obróbkowe przestaje działać i powoduje zatrzymanie linii produkcyjnej a nawet całego oddziału produkcyjnego. Częste awarie obniżają poziom niezawodności oraz tempo produkcji. Aby pomóc użytkownikom i producentom zoptymalizować politykę utrzymania ruchu w celu poprawy niezawodności centrów obróbkowych, w niniejszym artykule przedstawiono statystyki opisowe dotyczące danych o uszkodzeniach i opracowano trend uszkodzeń w oparciu o proces spełniający prawo potęgowe. Jednocześnie ustalono zasady rutynowej inspekcji i okresowych przeglądów, jak również sekwencyjnej obsługi zapobiegawczej przy ograniczonych wydatkach na utrzymanie ruchu. Proponowany model może być użytecznym narzędziem dla potrzeb oceny aktualnych warunków oraz przewidywania niezawodności w celu optymalizacji polityki utrzymania ruchu centrum obróbkowego.

Tool wear condition monitoring (TCM) is essential for milling process to ensure the machining quality, and the long short-term memory network (LSTM) is a good choice for predicting tool wear value. However, the robustness of LSTM- based method is poor when cutting condition changes. A novel method based on data fusion enhanced LSTM is proposed to estimate tool wear value under different cutting conditions. Firstly, vibration time series signal collected from milling process are transformed to feature space through empirical mode decomposition, variational mode decomposition and fourier synchro squeezed transform. And then few feature series are selected by neighborhood component analysis to reduce dimension of the signal features. Finally, these selected feature series are input to train the bidirectional LSTM network and estimate tool wear value. Applications of the proposed method to milling TCM experiments demonstrate it outperforms significantly SVR- based and RNN- based methods under different cutting conditions.

We report the synthesis of PbF2:Er3+ particles using a hydrothermal method. The structure and upconversion emission properties of the products are investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometer, Raman spectrophotometer and fluorescence spectrometry. An increase in Er3+ concentration in the crystals changes the PbF2 structure from a mixed phase to a cubic phase and decreases the grain size to nanoscale levels. Enhanced upconversion efficiency is achieved after annealing resulted from the formation of the cubic phase and the increase of grain size. The optimal Er3+ concentration is found to be 4% after annealing, and applied to the back of a bifacial silicon solar cell, maximum external quantum efficiencies of 0.38% and 0.79% are respectively obtained under 0.77 W/cm2 laser excitation (1560 nm) and AM1.5 + laser co-excitation.

The overall acoustic echo of a submarine is greatly dependent on the conning tower. For enhancing the acoustic stealth performance of a submarine, it is necessary to research an innovative design scheme of the conning tower to reduce its target strength (TS). The aim of this work is to reduce the TS of a conning tower by varying its geometry and streamlining. The accuracy in modelling the acoustic scattering of a conning tower using the Kirchhoff approximation (KA) was validated, compared with finite element analysis (FEA). Several angular conning tower geometries were designed to analyze the effect of streamlining and the number of lateral facets on TS using the KA method. In consideration of the actual situation, the acoustic effect of backing medium was analyzed by compared water-filled elastic hulls with rigid hulls. From the observed TS calculation results, it is shown that the non-streamlined four lateral-facet conning tower geometries are optimal for acoustic stealth performance during the range of incidence angles from −10° to 10°, whereas the streamlined versions have better performance at incidence angles beyond this range. Furthermore, elastic hulls and rigid hulls provide similar spatial distribution regularities in monostatic configuration with the rigidity affecting the magnitude of the TS.

As a solid waste, the associated disposal cost of fly ash is really high. Previous studies suggested that the utilization of fly ash to treat heavy metal-contaminated soils was a new cost-effective method of disposal of it. Therefore, the effectiveness of fly ash stabilized/solidified Zn-contaminated soils has been investigated by unconfined compressive strength (UCS) and toxicity characteristics leaching procedure (TCLP) tests. Quantitative analysis of the soil microstructure was conducted by processing the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) images. Mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) was carried out to illustrate the size and proportion of pore size for specimens under different ratios. The results of the tests showed an improvement in the UCS, which further increased as the content of binders was raised. Binder content would have little influence on the development of strength if the binder content exceeds a threshold value. The leached Zn2+ concentration of stabilized specimens was significantly decreased compared to that of untreated. Quantitative analysis confirmed that the addition of the binders resulted in the amount of hydration product, reduction of porosity, and a really random pores orientation, which was responsible for the improvement of the strength and leaching properties of the Zn2+ contaminated soils.

Evaluating the ecological economic benefits of different ecological restoration patterns in abandoned mines is important in ecological restoration study. Taking the abandoned coal mine in Luoshi Township of Fengcheng county, Jiangxi province, as a case, 4 different ecological restoration patterns (grapefruit with grass vegetation – Pattern I, pine with grass vegetation – Pattern II, grapefruit – Pattern III, and bare slope – Pattern IV) have been conducted to study the runoff and sediment yield under natural rainfall conditions. The results showed that the ecological restoration patterns and rainfall intensity can significantly affect runoff and sediment yield which increased as rainfall intensity increased: Pattern IV > Pattern III > Pattern II > Pattern I. For the optimal ecological restoration with Pattern I, the average runoff and sediment reduction was 59.01 and 77.1%, respectively, in all rainfall intensities. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that runoff and sediment were significantly affected by ecological restoration pattern and rainfall intensity (P < 0.05). Correlation analysis of runoff and sediment yields indicated that the reduction effect on sediment yield increased with the decrease of runoff, and the relationships between runoff and sediment at different ecological restoration patterns could be fitted with a linear function. Moreover, the vegetation configuration that combines fruit farming with grass can be not only beneficial to control soil and water conservation but produce considerable economic and ecological benefits.
