    The article is an attempt to present one of the most known concepts of disability, which, since the 60s of the 20th century, has been a significant and frequent subject of theoretical analysis as well as has been the hint in constructing the social policy or the organization of the welfare system for the disabled both in Poland and all over the world. In the article the American model of normalization will be presented and its deconstruction. Disclosing the problems concerning the theoretical assumptions of the concepts of this model allows for perceiving the way in which society constructs the subject of a disabled person.

    The aim of this deliberation is the presentation of the theoretical basis of liberal democracy as explained by Ernesto Laclau. The conception, which in my opinion, is a useful tool to analyze the social-political situation of the Excluded (disabled) in Poland. From the different important dimensions of these situations, I focused on the search for theoretical justifications for emancipation. An issue which is probably the oldest and most often anylised social issue. Emancipation has still not lost its significance despite the changes which took place through the history in the sense of understanding this term and the fields to which emancipation refers. The issue of emancipation of the Excluded (disabled) as shown by Laclau I analyze in the context of theory of discourse and hegemony. This is due to the fact that I decided that both discourse and discursive conception of hegemony are the conditions of the possibiity of existence of what is both social as well as a basis field of analysis of a social- -political situation of the Excluded (disabled). By presenting the theoretical perspective by Laclau (discourse, empty signifier, hegemony, emancipation) I try to show that this perspective not only shows “the meaning framework thanks to which the social life my take place” but also the multicontextivity and diversification of the social issued and different possibilities of its interpretation. An important characteristic of this perspective is also the fact that it points out the need of trying to improve democracy. Like Laclau claims, “the moment of imagining of a desire is maybe more important than its accomplishing, because it is the moment that motivates us to action and initiates the creative thinking”.

    The ongoing systemic transformations have intensified the need to update the reflection on (disabled) people, their abilities or even their destiny. The political transformation that took place in our country chanced the scope and forms of social life. Economic and socio-cultural changes led to the disappearance of disabled people. As a result, it is necessary to rebuild a humanistic programme based on embracing the human being, their abilities and capabilities. One of the most important methods of working on the condition and prospects of (disabled) people is undoubtedly communication, and dialogue within its scope.

    In the contemporary special pedagogy, it is clearly seen, that we are dealing with a situation of passing over scholarly programmes that refer, i.a. to the medical and social model of disability. We remain in a inter-paradigmatic transition period, in which new views on disability are appearing. One of the most popular scholarly approaches is the posthumanism, the characteristics of which are, i.a.: the critique of humanism, the departure from anthropocentrism, the appearance of a new materialism, the direction of research towards objects, animals, as well as, the relations of people and non-people. The example of such posthumanist approach, that may constitute the context for the creation of new models of disability, is the Actor-Network theory developed by Bruno Latour and his associates.

    Od wielu lat uczniowie widzą, że centralne miejsce sali lekcyjnej zajmuje tablica, kredowa, tradycyjna, czasem suchościeralna. Trudno byłoby wyobrazić sobie, że współcześnie stosowane technologie kształcenia mogą również naruszyć „utrwaloną” od wieków pozycję tradycyjnych tablic. To właśnie współczesna edukacja proponuje bardziej uniwersalne, a zarazem bogate w szerokie spektrum możliwości narzędzia, jakim są już od kilku lat tablice interaktywne, stosowane w szkołach pierwszego i drugiego stopnia. Tablica interaktywna to urządzenie, jak czytamy w literaturze przedmiotu, które przypomina znaną białą tablicę z możliwością współdziałania z podłączonym do niej komputerem oraz projektorem multimedialnym. Porównuje się ją do wielkiego monitora, który reaguje na dotyk. W zależności od technologii, w której tablica została wykonana, można używać specjalnego pióra albo każdego innego przedmiotu, w tym także własnej dłoni. Nauczyciel lub uczeń korzystający z tablicy mogą za jej pomocą obsługiwać dowolny program uruchomiony w komputerze. Interaktywna tablica najczęściej dysponuje też własnym specjalistycznym oprogramowaniem umożliwiającym przygotowanie zasobów do wykorzystania podczas wykładu, lekcji czy prezentacji.

    Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań przeprowadzonych z dorosłymi osobami z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną zatrudnionymi w Międzygminnym Zakładzie Aktywności Zawodowej w Dobrej. Przedmiotem analiz było rozumienie prawa przez osoby z lekką niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. W badaniach zastosowano strategię jakościową, paradygmat interpretatywny i podejście fenomenograficzne. Uzyskany materiał empiryczny stał się podstawą do rekonstrukcji doświadczeń badanych pracowników oraz odczytania i opisu sposobów rozumienia przez nich prawa.

    This article presents the research conducted on intellectually disabled persons employed in the Professional Activation Municipality Institution in Dobra (Poland). The main aim of this analysis was to uncover how persons with mild intellectual disability understand law principles. In the conducted studies qualitative strategies, such as, imperative theoretical paradigm and phenomenological approach were used. Gathered empirical materials were used as a basis for reconstructing the experiences of researched employees, by decoding and describing the way mildly disabled persons understand law principles.
