Opis:
One of the main reasons to study more about the dynamics of solar radio bursts is because solar these bursts can interfere with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and communications systems. More importantly, these bursts are a key to understand the space weather condition. Recent work on the interpretation of the low frequency region of a main solar burst is discussed. Continuum radio bursts are often related to the solar activities such as an indication of the formation of sunspot, impulsive phase of solar flares and Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and their frequencies correspond to the densities supposed to exist in the primary energy release volume. Specifically, solar burst in low frequency play an important role in interpretation of Sun activities. In this work, we have selected few solar bursts that successfully detected by our station at the National Space Centre, Banting Selangor. Our objective is to correlate the solar burst with Sun activities by looking at the main sources that responsibility with the trigger of solar burst. It is found that type II burst is dominant with Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), type III burst associated with solar flare, IV burst with the formation of active region and type U burst high solar flare. We believed that this work is a good start to monitor Sun’s activities in Malaysia as equatorial country.

The classic interval has precise borders A = [a, ā] . Therefore, it can be called a type 1 interval. Because of great practical importance of such interval data, several versions of type 1 interval arithmetic have been created. However, sometimes precise borders a and ā of intervals cannot be determined in practice. If the borders are uncertain, then we have to do with type 2 intervals. A type 2 interval can be denoted as AT2 = [aL, aR], [āL, āR]. The paper presents multidimensional decomposition RDM type 2 interval arithmetic (D-RDM-T2-I arithmetic), where RDM means relative-distance measure. The decomposition approach considerably simplifies calculations and is transparent for users. Apart from this arithmetic, examples of its applications are also presented. To the authors’ best knowledge, no papers on this arithmetic exist. D-RDM-T2-I arithmetic is necessary to create type 2 fuzzy arithmetic based on horizontal µ-cuts, which the authors aim to do.

Introduction. Diabetes as a non-infectious chronic metabolic disease is a problem of the contemporary world, including Poland. Behaviour therapy plays an important role in its treatment, i.e. proper diet and regular physical activity. Patient’s knowledge of nutrition principles is also an essential complement to the treatment, reducing the risk of late complications of diabetes. Objective. Assessment of the nutrition knowledge of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Materials and method. The study involved 300 randomly selected patients from Rzeszów and the surrounding area (135 patients with type 1 diabetes and 165 patients with type 2 diabetes) aged 8–78.The analysis was made using a survey questionnaire prepared by the authors of the study, conducted in the period July – December 2011. Results. The survey revealed that patients with type 1 diabetes have greater nutrition knowledge and knowledge about diabetes than patients with type 2 diabetes. On the other hand, they are less likely to comply with the recommendations of the diet prescribed by a doctor or a dietician. Conclusions. Patients with diabetes, regardless of age, type of diabetes, gender, or disease duration require continuous broadening of diabetes knowledge. Systematic training will teach patients proper eating habits related to their diet and lifestyle.

Opis:
Fuzzy logic systems, unlike black-box models, are known as transparent artificial intelligence systems that have explainable rules of reasoning. Type 2 fuzzy systems extend the field of application to tasks that require the introduction of uncertainty in the rules, e.g. for handling corrupted data. Most practical implementations use interval type-2 sets and process interval membership grades. The key role in the design of type-2 interval fuzzy logic systems is played by the type-2 inference defuzzification method. In type-2 systems this generally takes place in two steps: type-reduction first, then standard defuzzification. The only precise type-reduction method is the iterative method known as Karnik-Mendel (KM) algorithm with its enhancement modifications. The known non-iterative methods deliver only an approximation of the boundaries of a type-reduced set and, in special cases, they diminish the profits that result from the use of type-2 fuzzy logic systems. In this paper, we propose a novel type-reduction method based on a smooth approximation of maximum/minimum, and we call this method a smooth type-reduction. Replacing the iterative KM algorithm by the smooth type-reduction, we obtain a structure of an adaptive interval type-2 fuzzy logic which is non-iterative and as close to an approximation of the KM algorithm as we like.

Sidon proved the inequality named after him in 1939. It is an upper estimate for the integral norm of a linear combination of trigonometric Dirichlet kernels expressed in terms of the coefficients. Since the estimate has many applications for instance in $L^1$ convergence problems and summation methods with respect to trigonometric series, newer and newer improvements of the original inequality has been proved by several authors. Most of them are invariant with respect to the rearrangement of the coefficients. Although the newest results are close to best possible, no nontrivial lower estimate has been given so far. The aim of this paper is to give the best rearrangement invariant function of coefficients that can be used in a Sidon type inequality. We also show that it is equivalent to an Orlicz type and a Hardy type norm. Examples of applications are also given.

In this paper, a comparative dynamic analysis of the portal cranes of type H and X is described. The difference of the considered cranes arises from the difference of their portals. These two types of portals have the same main geometric measurements. They differ only at the medium level in the horizontal plane. The first type of the portal on the middle level has an H-frame, while the second type has an X-frame. In this paper, dynamic parameters of the two portals have been compared. Estimation has been done to find which of the two types of portals has more favourable dynamic stability for overturn.

The paper presents the results of thermodynamic analysis of precipitation process of MX-type interstitial phases in austenite. The subject of the investigation were two newly developed high strength low alloy microalloyed steels with similar concentration of C and N and with diversified amount of Nb, Ti and V microadditions. Thermodynamic analysis of the state of phase equilibrium of structural constituents, taking into consideration the austenite of investigated microalloyed steels, was mainly focused on analytic calculations of chemical composition of austenite and the content and chemical composition of potential MX-type interstitial phases (M – metal, X – metalloid) as a function of heating or cooling temperature. The analysis of precipitation process of complex carbonitrides in austenite under thermodynamic equilibrium conditions has allowed to define stoichiometric compositions of carbonitrides as a function of temperature along with determination of their volume portion. This study was based on the model proposed by Hillert and Staffanson, which was subsequently developed by Adrian. The results of performed investigation can be used to develop the appropriate parameters of thermomechanical treatment of metallurgical products from the tested HSLA-type steels.

This paper proposes a modified particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm that can be used to solve a variety of fuzzy nonlinear equations, i.e. fuzzy polynomials and exponential equations. Fuzzy nonlinear equations are reduced to a number of interval nonlinear equations using alpha cuts. These equations are then sequentially solved using the proposed methodology. Finally, the membership functions of the fuzzy solutions are constructed using the interval results at each alpha cut. Unlike existing methods, the proposed algorithm does not impose any restriction on the fuzzy variables in the problem. It is designed to work for equations containing both positive and negative fuzzy sets and even for the cases when the support of the fuzzy sets extends across 0, which is a particularly problematic case.

An algebra A = ⟨A, ∨, ∧, →, 0, 1⟩ is a semi-Heyting algebra if ⟨A, ∨, ∧, 0, 1⟩ is a bounded lattice, and it satisfies the identities: x ∧ (x → y) ≈ x ∧ y, x ∧ (y → z) ≈ x ∧ [(x ∧ y) → (x ∧ z)], and x → x ≈ 1. ℋ denotes the variety of semi-Heyting algebras. Semi-Heyting algebras were introduced by the second author as an abstraction from Heyting algebras.  They share several important properties with Heyting algebras.  An identity of associative type of length 3 is a groupoid identity, both sides of which contain the same three (distinct) variables that occur in any order and that are grouped in one of the two (obvious) ways. A subvariety of ℋ is of associative type of length 3 if it is defined by a single identity of associative type of length 3. In this paper we describe all the distinct subvarieties of the variety ℋ of asociative type of length 3.  Our main result shows that there are 3 such subvarities of ℋ.

In this paper generalized classes of modified ratio type and regression-cum-ratio type estimators of the finite population mean of the study variable are suggested in the presence of two auxiliary variables in simple random sampling without replacement when the population means of the auxiliary variables are known in advance. Some special cases of the generalized estimators are compared with respect to their biases and efficiencies both theoretically and with the help of some natural populations.

Unemployment is a significant social problem which has numerous negative health consequences. Findings of numerous researches provide  data on the range of the consequences of unemployment with risk of health deterioration being one of the most important. Unemployment remains an area of interest for the following fields of science: psychology, economics, sociology. More and more researches prove that there is a link between the increase of disease occurrence and death rate and long-term unemployment. Both in Poland and all over the world a steady increase in the incidence of type 2 diabetes is being observed. World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that, taking into consideration present dynamics of changes, in 2025 there will be 300 million people diagnosed with diabetes. That is why a diabetes epidemic is such a topical issue, and according to some epidemic data this epidemic is starting to reach Poland as well. Data provided by IDF (International Diabetes Federation) show that in Poland the percentage of diabetes patients is 9,1% of the whole population and it is a little higher than the European average (8,6%). It is predicted that by 2015 the percentage will rise to 11%. Identification of adverse health behaviors and introducing actions promoting health in a given population group can prove to be beneficial for the present condition of members of a given group as well as decrease the risk connected with the occurrence of diseases associated with the progress of civilization in the future. The aim of the article is to indicate type 2 diabetes risk factors among the unemployed in Poland.

Opis:
Fuzzy logic has always been one of the key research areas in the field of computer science as it helps in dealing with the real world vagueness and uncertainty. In recent years, a variant of it, Type-2 Fuzzy Logic has gained enormous popularity for research purposes. In this paper, an analytical insight is provided into the research patterns of Type-2 Fuzzy logic. Web of Science has been used as the data source which consists of Science Citation Index- Expanded (SCI-E), SSCI, A&HCI and ESCI indexed research papers. 600 research papers were extracted from it in the field of Type-2 fuzzy logic from the year 2000 to 2016, which are analyzed both manually and in an automated manner. The performed study is Scientometric in nature and helps in answering research questions like control terms and top authors in this field, the growth pattern in research publications, top funding agencies and countries etc. The major goal of this study is to analyze the research work in type-2 fuzzy logic so as to track the growth of this discipline through the years and envision future trends in this area.

This paper describes the TLGbank, a treebank developed in the framework of (multimodal) type-logical grammar. Using the French Treebank as a starting point, a combination of automated and manual techniques are applied to obtain type-logical derivations (parses) corresponding to the phrases of the French Treebank. The TLGbank has been developped with applications to wide-coverage semantics in mind. This means that the TLGbank has richer structure than the original French Treebank, especially where it concerns semantically relevant information such as passives, coordination, extraction and gapping.

In this study, a pigeon paramyxovirus type 1 (PPMV-1) isolated from a flock of ornamental pigeons in Poland in 2010 is described. The PPMV-1/Poland/H2/10 isolate showed the amino acid sequence at the cleavage site of F2/F1 ¹¹²KRQKRF¹¹⁷ i.e. typical of virulent strains. Despite having the monoclonal antibody binding pattern typical of pigeon variants PPMV-1 (antigenic group “P”), the Polish isolate clustered into genetic sublineage 4a, which is usually associated with PMV-1 isolated from poultry.

This paper presents a new concept for a power electronic converter – the extended T-type (eT) inverter, which is a combination of a three-phase inverter and a three-level direct current (dc)/dc converter. The novel converter shows better performance than a comparable system composed of two converters: a T-type inverter and a boost converter. At first, the three-level dc/dc converter is able to boost the input voltage but also affects the neutral point potential. The operation principles of the eT inverter are explained and a simulation study of the SiC-based 6 kVA system is presented in this paper. Presented results show a serious reduction of the DC-link capacitors and the input inductor. Furthermore, suitable SiC power semiconductor devices are selected and power losses are estimated using Saber software in reference to a comparative T-type inverter. According to the simulations, the 50 kHz/6 kVA inverter feed from the low voltage (250 V) shows <2.5% of power losses in the suggested SiC metal oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) and Schottky diodes. Finally, a 6 kVA laboratory model was designed, built and tested. Conducted measurements show that despite low capacitance (2 × 30 μF/450 V), the neutral point potential is balanced, and the observed efficiency of the inverter is around 96%.

We extend the notion of the exocenter of a generalized effect algebra (GEA) to a generalized pseudoeffect algebra (GPEA) and show that elements of the exocenter are in one-to-one correspondence with direct decompositions of the GPEA; thus the exocenter is a generalization of the center of a pseudoeffect algebra (PEA). The exocenter forms a boolean algebra and the central elements of the GPEA correspond to elements of a sublattice of the exocenter which forms a generalized boolean algebra. We extend the notion of central orthocompleteness to GPEA, prove that the exocenter of a centrally orthocomplete GPEA (COGPEA) is a complete boolean algebra and show that the sublattice corresponding to the center is a complete boolean subalgebra. We also show that in a COGPEA, every element admits an exocentral cover and that the family of all exocentral covers, the so-called exocentral cover system, has the properties of a hull system on a generalized effect algebra. We extend the notion of type determining (TD) sets, originally introduced for effect algebras and then extended to GEAs and PEAs, to GPEAs, and prove a type-decomposition theorem, analogous to the type decomposition of von Neumann algebras.

The aim of this paper is to present a constructive methodology and algorithms for operations with fuzzy sets of type 2. The need to elaborate this methodology came from practical problems of Decision Making. To realize the methodology, some simplifications of the problem have been introduced. Particularly, only the trapezium form of membership functions was used. To highlight the difference between the proposed approach and the classical theory of fuzzy sets of type 2, the terms "hyperfuzzy set" and "hyperfuzzy function" have been introduced. Some base situations of hyperfuzzy functions with real arguments and real functions of hyperfuzzy arguments are performed.

The work three ceramic compositions based on PbZr0.49 Ti0.51O3 doped with manganese (Mn), antimony (Sb), lanthanum (La) and tungsten (W) were obtained. The introduction of a set of admixtures was aimed at improving the sinterability of ceramic materials and optimizing its electrophysical parameters. Multi-component materials of the PZT-type with a general formula: Pb(PbZr0.49 Ti0.51)0.94 Mn0.021 Sb0.016 LayWz O3 (where y from 0.008 to 0.012 and z from 0.012 to 0.014) were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide method. After mixing and drying the powder mixtures were calcined in air at 850°C for 4 h, while densification of the powders was carried out by the free sintering method at 1150°C for 2 h. The final steps of technology were grinding, polishing, annealing and putting silver paste electrodes onto both surfaces of the samples for electrical testing. XRD, SEM, EDS, dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric properties and DC electrical conductivity of the obtained ceramic compositions were carried out. X-ray tests of the crystal structure conducted at room temperature have shown that all obtained the PZT-type materials were a single phase (perovskite type) without the presence of a foreign phase. Symmetry of the crystal lattice was identified as space group P4mm. Temperature dielectric studies have shown high values of dielectric permittivity and low dielectric loss. The presented physical properties of ceramic samples based on PZT confirm their predisposition for application in modern microelectronic and micromechatronic applications.

Opis:
The problems of both single and multiple delays for neutral-type uncertain systems are considered. First, for single neutral time delay systems, based on a Razumikhin-type theorem, some delay-dependent stability criteria are derived in terms of the Lyapunov equation for various classes of model transformation and decomposition techniques. Second, robust control for neutral systems with multiple time delays is considered. Finally, we demonstrate numerical examples to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. Compared with results existing in the literature, our methods are shown to be superior to them.

In [ABB] Asmar, Berkson and Bourgain prove that for a sequence ${ϕ_j}^∞_{j=1} $ of weak type (1, 1) multipliers in $ℝ^n$ and a function $k ∈ L^1(ℝ^n)$ the weak type (1,1) constant of the maximal operator associated with ${k⁎ϕ_j}_j$ is controlled by that of the maximal operator associated with ${ϕ_j}_j$. In [ABG] this theorem is extended to LCA groups with an extra hypothesis: the multipliers must be continuous. In this paper we prove a more general version of this last result without assuming the continuity of the multipliers. The proof arises after simplifying the one in [ABB] which becomes then extensible to LCA groups.

We propose a low-level way of combining distributional and logical ideas into a single formal system. This will be an instantiation of a more general system, adding weights to proof rules. These weights will not measure some sort of “confidence the proof is valid”, but Rather act as a way to prefer some proofs over others, where preference can mean “easier to process (for humans)” or “more coherent (combining words that make sense together)”. The resulting system of weighted theorem proving can be implemented either as a best-first proof serach strategy or as a polynomial-time approximation of proof search for NP-complete parsing problems.

The defuzzification of a type-2 fuzzy set is a two stage process consisting of firstly type-reduction, and secondly defuzzification of the resultant type-1 set. This paper considers three approaches to discrete interval type-reduction: 1. The exhaustive method which produces the Type-Reduced Set, 2. the Greenfield-Chiclana Collapsing Defuzzifier which gives rise to the Representative Embedded Set Approximation, and 3. the Nie-Tan Method from which the Nie-Tan Set is derived. In the discrete case these three type-1 sets are distinct. The behavior of the three sets under fine discretisation is investigated experimentally, in order to shed light on the relationships between the continuous versions of these type-1 sets.

Such equations enable us to consider various classes of systems from the unified point of view. Explicit input-to-state stability conditions in terms of the L²-norm are derived. Our main tool is the norm estimates for the matrix resolvents, as well as estimates for fundamental solutions of the linear parts of the considered systems, and the Ostrowski inequality for determinants.

Variation of solar bursts due to solar flares such as type an isolated type III , a complex type III, U is being highlighted. These bursts occurred on 9th March 2012 at the National Space Centre, Sg. Lang, Selangor, Malaysia Here, we study a unique case with a combination of two types burst associated with solar flare and CMEs. Our observation is focused on the low frequency region starting from 150 MHz till 400 MHz. We found that a solar flare type solar flare type M 6.3 which occurred in active region AR 1429 starting from 3:32 UT and ending at 05:00 UT. The flare has been confirmed to be the largest flare since 2005. Some physical parameters will be measured. We then compared our results with X-ray data from NOAA Space Weather Prediction Centre (SWPC).

We report the timeline of the solar radio burst Type II that formed but fragmented at certain point based on the eruption of the solar flare on 13th November 2012 at 2:04:20 UT. The active region AR 1613 is one of the most active region in 2012. It is well known that the magnetic energy in the solar corona is explosively released before converted into the thermal and kinetic energy in solar flares. In this work, the Compound Astronomical Low-frequency, Low-cost Instrument for Spectroscopy Transportable Observatories (CALLIISTO) system is used in obtaining a dynamic spectrum of solar radio burst data. There are eight active regions and this is the indicator that the Sun is currently active. Most the active regions radiate a Beta radiation. The active regions 1610, 1611 and 1614 are currently the largest sunspots on the visible solar disk. There is an increasing chance for an isolated M-Class solar flare event. It is also expected that there will be a chance of an M flare, especially from AR 1614 and 1610. Although these two observations (radio and X-rays) seem to be dominant on the observational analysis, we could not directly confirmed that this is the only possibility, and we need to consider other processes to explain in detailed the injection, energy loss and the mechanism of the acceleration of the particles. In conclusion, the percentage of energy of solar flare becomes more dominant rather than the acceleration of particles through the Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and that will be the main reason why does the harmonic structure of type II burst is not formed. This event is one fine example of tendencies solar radio burst type III, which makes the harmonic structure of solar radio burst type II fragmented.

We consider Wiener type algebras on an open Banach ball. In particular, we prove that such algebras consist of functions analytic in this ball. We also consider a property of one-parameter groups generated by an isometric group acting on a Banach ball. Fourier transform
Opis:
Function spaces of type S are introduced and investigated in the literature. They are also applied to study the Cauchy problem. In this paper we shall extend the concept of these spaces to the context of Boehmian spaces and study the Fourier transform theory on these spaces. These spaces enable us to combine the theory of Fourier transform on these function spaces as well as their dual spaces.

Opis:
The paper concerns the non-linear problem of description of shallow-water waves of finite amplitude. The description is based on the conservation-law formulation, which seems to be particularly convenient in constructing an approximate solution of the problem considered. The analysis is confined to the one-dimensional case of waves propagating in water of constant depth. In the model considered, vertical acceleration of the fluid is taken into account, and thus, the fundamental equations of the problem are similar to those given by Boussinesq (Abbott 1979). The equations differ from those frequently used in shallow-water hydrodynamics which are based on the assumption of hydrostatic pressure. An approximate solution of the problem is constructed by means of a perturbation scheme with the third order expansion of the equations with respect to a small parameter. It is demonstrated that the solution procedure may be successfully applied only within a certain range of the two ratios defining wave height to water depth and the depth to wave length, respectively.

This paper is concerned with a numerical solutions of two-component magnetohydrodynamic equations. While a hyperbolic system of wave equations admits a shock solution as a result of the selenoidality condition the MHD equations are not strictly hyperbolic. As a consequence of that these equations require special numerical treatment. An application of a resulting numerical code to a problem of solar wind interaction with the ionosphere of the planet Venus is presented.

On field requirements for headlights are significantly dependent on type approval requirements. But the type approval requirements are described differently than exploitation requirements. They assume that basic photometrical requirements tested during type approval are met. But this assumption is not described and checked. Finally on field real headlamp photometric values could be significantly different than expected because depends on factors as light source geometry tolerance, headlamp design sensitivity for filament geometry, possible precision of aiming/levelling method. Moreover drivers and services awareness of this situation is not meaningful. As result safety during nighttime traffic is significantly deteriorated. In paper are described important factors concerned way of defining present type approval requirements. It concern the way of defining of photometric criteria for vertical measuring screen in fixed distance, choice of points and zones for assessment, limits and their restrictions. Also differentiation of requirement in dependence on light source used is analysed as well as some other important factors. The important issue is glare caused by headlights and their restriction in type approval requirements. It is also analysed influence on headlights performance on field conditions as result of lack of reference to imperfect but defined type approval photometric requirements. The visual aiming on the base of cut-off line and subjective judgement is the only way to allow use of vehicle. Moreover as well service as drivers believes that this is sufficient for safety driving at night with speeds allowed by common road traffic law.

Purpose: Type 1 diabetes is a common disease in children and teenagers, but it can occur at any age. This study aimed to determine the awareness and knowledge of type 1 diabetes in parents' to diagnose early. Materials and methods: This study is a descriptive type. Data were collected from 1 April to 1 July 2020 date in Turkey. The study sample consisted of 214 parents who accepted to participate in the study and completed the questionnaire were included in the sample. Results: It was found that the knowledge level of the parents participating in the study about type 1 diabetes was close to medium level (6.10±1.89). The study's findings revealed that there are misperceptions about the incidence of type 1 diabetes in parents. Parents are often confused about the reasons for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Conclusions: In this study, although the knowledge level of the parents about type 1 diabetes is close to medium level, it is below the intermediate level. It is important and necessary for families to know about type 1 diabetes and its symptoms, observe their child or children and diagnose the disease early.

The present study proposes a class of product-type exponential estimators for estimating the population mean of the study variable, using known values of some population parameters of an auxiliary character, under the simple random sampling without replacement (SRSWOR) scheme. Furthermore, the study also proposes a modified exponential estimator based on both the ratio-type and the product-type exponential estimators. Properties of the proposed estimators, under the SRSWOR scheme, are obtained up to first order approximation. The modified exponential estimator under optimum conditions is shown to be more efficient than the simple sample mean and the ratio-type and product-type exponential estimators. The theoretical results are supported by an empirical illustration.

In this paper we analyse several ways to compute the weights from the Regularized Han (RH) algorithm, the regularized version of Han’s algorithm for approximating the least squares solutions of inconsistent (incompatible) systems of linear inequalities. We tested our approaches on a classical transportation problem, aiming to provide a cost optimized solution to real world transportation problems, which often are unbalanced and inconsistent.
