Opis:
The transition process of implementation standard for environmental management system (EMS) ISO 14001 :2015 lasts for three years, requiring every organization to adopt the latest version by September 2018. The objectives of this research is to describe and analyze the stages done by copper ore mill. This research used a concept analysis method, which focused on and could be basically defined to examine the basic elements of widely used concept to clarify ISO 14001 :2015 standards characteristics and relations. The result of this research provide a conceptual framework based on the standard of ISO 14001:2015 – EMS : Requirements with Guidance for Use, where this framework consists of steps to design the transition change from EMS ISO 14001 :2004 to its 2015 new version. The description of every step is expected to give understanding and model for organizations that must conduct transition and for the ones that will start implementing the EMS.

Opis:
This article concerns the transitions of cultural landscapes, especially of viticultural landscapes. The authors do not aim to present new definition of the term “landscape” but base their study on the existing output of Polish and foreign scholars. The fact that cultural landscapes are in a constant state of flux is stressed, and periods of both development and regression are included. These phenomena are illustrated with reference to the transformations of Poland's viticultural landscapes, the cultural landscapes of the Palmeral de Elche, and the mouth of the Vistula, as well as the metamorphosis of the landscape of Alto Douro. These examples may be an apt illustration of F. Braudel's concept of “longue durée”.

The departure point for formulating the problem of the presented text were three questions. The first one regards the essence of the social reality – of what it is. The second question is connected with the ways of learning about this reality, which are accessible to a human being. The third one is a reflection on the ways of looking into the subject experience; it is a question of a question of how a subject (a human being) is present in narrations available to a contemporary researcher – a representative of social sciences or maybe of humanities? Does the subject exist in a form that is available to a researcher and what is it like? Where can it be seen, met and comprehended?

Policies that are introduced to mitigate adverse consequences of climate change involve economic costs. For some households, these costs will materialise in the form of an increase in prices of consumption goods, whereas for others they will materialise in the form of falling productivity and wages. Disentangling these two effects is important in the light of the design of funds that aim to support the households that are negatively affected by climate policy. In this article, we study the effect of carbon tax on welfare through changes of consumer prices and wages in a general equilibrium setting. In the first step, we review the literature on ‘top-down’ models, which are used to evaluate the macroeconomic cost of climate policy. We find that these models usually do not account for loss of productivity of workers who must change their sector due to climate policy. In the second step, we develop a theoretical, micro-founded, two-sector model that explicitly accounts for the loss of productivity of workers. The compensation of climate-change mitigation costs would require allocation of separate funds for the affected consumers and workers.

Morphological change is not a result of mechanical, predictable processes, but of the behavior of language users. Speakers reinterpret opaque data in order to assign a more transparent structure to them. Subsequently successful reinterpretation may form the basis of new derivations. The moment such a derivative word formation process becomes productive a language change has taken place. In addition, this paper shows how language change obscures the distinction between separate morphological processes such as compounding and derivation and thus between morphological categories. Moreover, the data under discussion show that there is not a preferred natural direction of language change. Most of the examples are taken from English and Dutch, but also a few French, Frisian, German and Afrikaans data are discussed.

While there is a clear tendency to address research of the ratio between change and development for very specific cases in comparison with the level of various countries, we think that we should go beyond such situation and focus rather on analysing and studying transition in former Communist countries. Such analysis could even lead to finding out the reasons for more attention being paid to change instead of development, but the influence of the tendency of the international partners in Albania and the entire region of the Western Balkan in favour of change and to the detriment of development has had its adverse and irreparable consequences.

Hypotheses invoking catastrophic causal factors for terminal Cretaceous extinctions call for, 1) instantaneous, global extinctions, 2) resulting from a single or dominant causal factor. Currently available methods of correlation are not precise enough to test the first element of these hypotheses. Patterns of mammalian extinction and survival in northeastern Montana, USA — as well as records of other organisms — argue against the second element. In Montana most of the lineages of marsupials were decimated. Extinction of multituberculates was not as severe, while only one lineage of eutherians appears to have become extinct. Groups that apparently immigrated into northeastern Montana just prior to the end of the Cretaceous had a greater probability of survival than the residents. The probability of extinction was independent of individual body size. Different patterns of mammalian extinction in different environments also appear to defy explanation in terms of one common, catastrophic causal factor.

Purpose: Migration is a complex situational transition that rarely occurs in isolations. Use of the transitions framework allows for recognition of the complex, longitudinal, and iterative components and processes of migration. Refugees experience a long and anduous transition. Refugees may experience significant changes in health status. The study purpose to investigate the change in health perception of refugee women within the framework of transition theory. Materials and methods: This study is a qualitative study. Data were collected with a semi-structured interview form at in-depth interviews. Obtained data were analyzed with inductive content analysis. Analysis of interview data provided by thirty Syrian refugee women. Results: The refugee women’s changing in health perception were found to comprise the following themes "pre-migration access to health care system and medical practise", " experiences of immigration process", "access to health care system in Turkey and medical practice,” and “change in health perception" and subthemes. Conclusions: Health perception for Syrian refugees women is status of well-being or not. Health status of refugees women got worse during immigration process and postmigration process. Because of refugee women in the face of some problems such as language barriers, lack of socio-economic situation, inadequacy of access to health care system all of these cause to be negatively change in health perceptions.

Opis:
Purpose: The article focuses on the issue of energy transition in relation to Polish entities operating in the energy sector. The aim of the article is to analyse and assess the scale of the changes in the business models of energy companies resulting from the transformation. Design/methodology/approach: The literature on the study of energy models and transformation has proposed theoretical frameworks to support energy transformation. They provide inspiration to examine the impact of energy transition on the business models of Polish traditional energy companies operating in the form of integrated capital groups. Three energy companies of the Polish energy sector, operating in the form of integrated capital groups – PGE, TAURON and ENEA – were selected for the study. The research used such methods as literature review and materials concerning the current situation and market trends in the energy sector as well as case study research. The research model uses the approach proposed by A. Osterwalder and Y. Pigneur, describing the rationale behind the way in which an organisation creates value and provides and profits from the value created. Findings: The article summarises the results of research devoted to the changes in the configuration of the business model of a traditional energy company in the context of building a new energy market structure, characterised by distribution of generation sources, fast-growing prosumerism, intelligence of solutions resulting from the innovative ICT technologies applied and virtualisation of the offered customer value. The research covered selected Polish energy companies operating within the structure of capital groups. Practical implications: The presented summary of the impact of the energy transition confirms that its presence triggers profound changes in the business model of the traditional energy company and its components. Originality/value: The article presents a synthesis of the regulatory, legal and market conditions shaping the scope and depth of the transformations in the energy sector. The article summarises a review of new business models in the power industry and defines directions of changes in the business model of an energy company, which were determined as a result of the research. The article also discusses a possible scenario for further restructuring and changes in the business model of an energy company in the light of governmental programmes for the transformation of coal production assets and hard coal mining.

Opis:
The question of nature-culture and music is approached in the text from several perspectives as points of gravity and profiles, as the ‘tenors’ of considerations of the nature-culture relationship within the context of musical behaviours: 1) the biological tenor - culture as the simulation or imitation of nature (the dominant feature of the art of the Palaeolithic and the rituals of the Neolithic; derivatives in agrarian cultures); in this context, all musical behaviours, the kinetic, verbal, social and symbolic were centred around obtaining and celebrating crops - the results of purposeful activity, patient waiting and the benevolence of supernatural powers. The joy from a powerful hope in the survival of a community through abundant harvests seems to have been the source of the synergy (mutual stimulation) of all the components of socio-musical events, collective rituals and free individual expression. 2) the social tenor, where verbal-dance-musical behaviours (generally speaking - amusement) serve to ‘hew off and distinguish an individual within a group (‘nature’). Thus the nature-culture relationship is translated or reflected in the interplay between the collective and the individual. The dance itself is a play between the (‘natural’) group action and the (‘cultural’) individualised performance. The oscillation between the action of a group and the display of an individual also occur in whirling dances of couples interspersed with individual sung ditties. The social tenor, the transition from collective nature to a culture that is also individual, also concerns the practising of song repertoire, and it is an important factor in understanding cultural change. 3) the conscious-psychological tenor, in which music and musical behaviour are conscious manifestations of culture within historical processes, without necessary references to nature. The fundamental question in this aspect of discussion is the relative extent to which culture is given or created. There is no doubt that nature is given to man, whilst culture needs time. Reflection on the link between music and the social environment leads to the conclusion that nature tightens, while culture loosens, music’s bond with the situational-social context that is strictly ascribed to it. 4) the structural tenor of the musical work/behaviour, which highlights the microworld of nature-culture, particularly the oscillation of openness/change and closedness/ constancy of musical works or behaviours. The nature-culture model can be referred to the logic of development or stylistic change in musical output itself. Following that quartet of tenors, it is worth posing the question as to whether there exists a fifth, linking all the previous four, a ‘cosmic’, theological tenor in the symphony of nature-culture; in other words, whether there exists a ‘school’ of tenors.
