Artykuł prezentuje dynamikę zmian w obecności młodzieży wiejskiej w strukturze wszystkich typów studiów wyższych w Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu w latach 2006-2018. Kluczową rolę w przemianach szkolnictwa wyższego w tym okresie odegrał głęboki niż demograficzny, który zmienił strukturę całego szkolnictwa wyższego i studiów wyższych w Polsce. Proces ten definiowany jako – demasyfikacja uniwersytetu – w znaczący sposób wpłynął na dostępność studiów wyższych dla młodzieży wiejskiej, która okazała się jednym z głównych beneficjentów niżu demograficznego. Tym samym młodzież wiejska wykorzystała `efekt nasycenia` systemu (koncepcja Effectively Maintained Inequality S. Lucasa) młodzieżą wielkomiejską (o wyższym poziomie kapitału kulturowego) i „zajęła” dostępne na bezpłatnych publicznych uniwersytetach wolne miejsca.
The article presents the dynamics of changes in the presence of rural youth in the structure of all types of study at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in 2006-2018. A key role in the transformations of higher education in this period was played by the deep demographic decline, which changed the structure of the entire higher education in Poland. This process, defined as the demasification of the university, significantly influenced the availability of higher education for rural youth, who turned out to be one of the main beneficiaries of the demographic decline. Thus, rural youth used the system's saturation effect (the concept of Effectively Maintained Inequality by S. Lucas) by urban youth (with a higher level of cultural capital) and "took" vacancies available at free public universities.

The aim of this paper is to discuss the role and impact of Generavtie Arcftiial Intelligence (AI) systems in higher edu cation. The proliferation of AI models such as GPT-4, Open Assistant and DALL-E presents a paradigm shift in informa oitn acquisiotin and learning. This transformaotin poses sub stantial challenges for traditional teaching approaches and the role of educators. The paper explores the advantages and potential threats of using Generative AI in education and necessary changes in curricula. It further discusses the need to foster digital literacy and the ethical use of AI. The paper's findings are based on a survey conducted among university students exploring their usage and perception of these AI systems. Finally, recommendations for the use of AI in higher education are oefred, which emphasize the need to harness AI's potenatil while migtiantig its risks. This discourse aims at stimulating policy and strategy develop ment to ensure relevant and eefctive education in the rap idly evolving digital landscape.

Aim: The aim of the work was to find out what the influence of ICT use also on ICT (information and communication technology, in this case gaming console with motion sensor, which senses movements of the probanda body and thus is controlled by a fictional figure in the game) in the rehabilitation of cognitive functions on attention and orientation. Concept/methods: Alzheimer's disease is becoming increasingly the source of both professional and lay discourse. Statistical data show that increasing the average life expectancy increases the number of seniors and thus increases the number of people with dementia, with Alzheimer's disease being the most common type (up to 65% of all cases of dementia in the Czech Republic). This trend will continue to follow, and the number of people affected will increase. For guidance in 2006, 2231 people with Alzheimer's disease were registered, while in 2010 this number increased to 3148. For the research, 10 probands (100% of women) were used in the age range of 65-81 years, with the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease - a light type. Probandi was divided into 5 groups, divided into 5 groups, into an experimental group that actively participated in the intervention and services provided by the institutions in which they were located, and a control group that participated only in the services and activities provided by institution. The research lasted half a year once a week and the activity itself lasted within 25 minutes. Results: Of the 10 probands in total, 5 of us participated actively in our intervention. Prior to the start of the intervention, the results in the assessment (using the Addenbrook Cognitive Assay) were at the same level, but there was visible change between the experimental and the control group during the outcomes assessment. Conclusion: Experimental group achieved better scores or better results. the results themselves stagnated, while the control group experienced a minor deterioration in the test areas.

The article discusses the adult and old people learning opportunities for Lithuania. Adult education is one of the most important factors that determine both the development of the society and the human achievements in modern society. Education is a social practice which includes education and cultural communication in the broadest sense, as well as actions of human reproduction at large. Access to adult education should ensure the justice in the society, although scientists argue that education system is usually powerless to correct other social systems created by inequality and in justice Accessible and quality adult education system ensures better life, social mobility, and provides status. Accessibility of education (particularly adult’s) is unconsciously problem, unequally understandable phenomenon, rarely becoming the object of special investigation. This can be logical: usage of this concept gained a wider scope only in last years, when essential European political educational documents appeared, first of all, Memorandum of life-long learning. In long-life learning ensuring strategy, the analysis of present state is provided. A potential of informal adults education suppliers when integrating groups of social exclusion, consolidating local communities by raising political and civil literacy of society, what is directly related to common welfare of society, are not fully used. Seeking to increase the integration of socially vulnerable society groups, juridical base is constantly improved in recent years. The law of disabled people social integration and the law of social companies are enacted, interinstitutional programs, reflecting the needs of different social separation groups, making assumptions to develop the initiatives directed to education of social separation groups are implemented.

Publikacja ta jest wkładem w dyskusję dotyczącą współczesnej polityki oświatowej, której charakterystycznym rysem jest wprowadzanie neoliberalnych reform w zasięgu globalnym. Zawarte w niej treści pozwolą na poznanie polityki edukacyjnej Stanów Zjednoczonych oraz dokonanie porównania wielu podobieństw, jakie odnajdujemy wśród rozwiązań edukacyjnych wprowadzonych w naszym kraju. Ich krytyczna analiza, dokonana w pracy, pozwoli na zrozumienie przyczyn pogłębiających się w Polsce nierówności w dostępie do pełnowartościowej edukacji.
The educational reason for writing this text was classes run by means of tutoring. The aim of the paper is to inspire all the people interested in the state of Polish system of education, to read the book by Eugenia Potulicka titled NEOLIBERAL REFORMS IN EDUCATION IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. FROM RONALD REAGAN TILL BARACK OBAMA. This publication constitutes a contribution into the discussion on contemporary educational policy, in which introduction of neoliberal reforms in the global scope is very characteristic. The book content allows to identify the educational policy of the United States and to compare a lot of similarities between educational solutions implemented in our country. Their critical analysis, presented in this work, will allow the reader to understand the causes of deepening inequalities in the access to education in Poland.

El patriarcado en distintos momentos históricos ha impedido a las mujeres el acceso a la educación, pero muchas han encontrado la forma de burlar los mandatos del poder para acceder al conocimiento. Las reivindicaciones de las mujeres han sido obviadas muchas veces, así como su obra y aportaciones desde la ciencia, la filosofía y el pensamiento feminista. Recuperar los nombres de las que abrieron camino con sus tratados, de las que accedieron a las universida-des buscando recovecos legales y lograron ser referentes para otras muchas, reflexionar sobre la influencia que unas tuvieron en otras que hablaban su misma lengua, es tan fundamental como contextualizar los discursos reaccionarios de los que defienden los privilegios del varón frente a los derechos de ciudadanía. Es, por tanto, fundamental incorporar la perspectiva de género en el análisis histórico.
Throughout history, patriarchy has prevented women from accessing education. However, many of them have found ways to circumvent the dictates of male power to gain access to knowledge. Women's demands are often invisible, as well as their work and contributions from science, philosophy and feminist thought. It is imperative to recover the names of those who broke new ground with their treaties, of those who managed to be admitted to universi-ties through the search for legal nooks and crannies, and became a touchstone for many ot-hers, as well as to reflect on the influence that some of them had on others who spoke the same language. It is also crucial to contextualize the reactionary discourses of those who de-fend the privileges of men against citizenship rights. It is therefore essential to incorporate a gender perspective into the historical analysis.

The paper deals with the issues related to the right to education under the Constitution of the Republic of Poland of 1997 and to the actual operation of the education system. The main focus is on the constitutional guarantee of equal access to education. This guarantee should be treated as Kant’s Regulatory Idea which should be pursued by public authority though its full attainment is not possible in social reality. This study attempts to indicate to what extent the state’s obligation to ensure equal access to education is implemented by the institution of the school in Poland.
Artykuł obejmuje rozważania dotyczące problematyki związanej z prawem do nauki na gruncie Konstytucji Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej z 1997 roku oraz w praktyce funkcjonowania systemu oświaty. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono konstytucyjnej gwarancji równego dostępu do wykształcenia. Gwarancję tę należy traktować jako Kantowską ideę regulatywną, do której władza publiczna powinna dążyć, ale której pełne osiągnięcie nie jest możliwe w rzeczywistości społecznej. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest próba wskazania, w jak dużym stopniu instytucja szkoły w Polsce realizuje ciążące na państwie zobowiązanie zapewnienia równego dostępu do wykształcenia.

The article gives a review of reasons for developing and adopting a new web-based model of teaching in the field of Instrumentation & Measurement. The last chapter presents some details concerned to distance learning.

Artykuł, odnosząc się do deficytów polskiej edukacji dorosłych w środowiskach wiejskich, skupia się wokół kwestii (znikomego) wsparcia ze strony polskiej andragogiki dla rozwoju procesów uczenia się – nauczania mieszkańców wsi. Problematyka edukacji na wsi, choć specyficzna i nieprzystająca do rzeczywistości społecznej, gospodarczej i kulturowej polskich miast, jest marginalizowana zarówno przez politykę oświatową, jak i środowiska andragogiczne. Autorka, dokonując wtórnej analizy raportów, literatury przedmiotu, w tym także świadczącej o tendencjach rozwojowych innych dyscyplin naukowych, wspomagających rozwój regionów wiejskich, próbuje odsłonić zadania, którymi niezwłocznie winna zająć się andragogika wsi, współcześnie nierozpoznawalna w obrębie nauk pedagogicznych.
The article, referring to the deficits of Polish adult education in rural environments, focuses on the issue of (negligible) support from Polish andragogy for the development of learning and teaching processes of rural residents. The issue of education in the countryside, although strongly specific and incompatible with the social, economic and cultural reality of Polish cities, is marginalized by both education policy and andragogical environments. The author, making a secondary analysis of reports and literature on the subject, including the evidence of development trends of other scientific disciplines that support the development of rural regions, tries to reveal the tasks that should immediately be addressed by rural andragogy, which is unrecognizable within pedagogical sciences today.

The right to education for persons with disabilities results from the constitutional principle of universal and equal access to education, however, it frequently encounters difficulties in implementation. This issue is particularly important not only from the point of view of Polish law but also due to international guarantees of universal access to education and activities aimed at the elimination of all forms of discrimination. They were included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and the Convention on Human Rights. European standards in this respect are set, first of all, by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, EU regulations and directives, as well as by the case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. Moreover, the issue of the universal and equal right to education was also raised in the documents of the Council of Europe: the European Convention on Human Rights and the European Social Charter, judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, and decisions of the European Committee of Social Rights.
Realizacja prawa do edukacji przez osoby z niepełnosprawnościami, choć wynika z konstytucyjnej zasady powszechnego i równego dostępu do wykształcenia, w praktyce niejednokrotnie napotyka na trudności w realizacji. To zagadnienie szczególnie istotne nie tylko z punktu widzenia prawa polskiego, ale również z uwagi na międzynarodowe gwarancje powszechnego dostępu do kształcenia oraz działania zmierzające do eliminacji wszelkich przejawów dyskryminacji. Zostały one zawarte w Powszechnej Deklaracji Praw Człowieka, Międzynarodowym Pakcie Praw Ekonomicznych, Socjalnych i Kulturalnych oraz Konwencji o Prawach Człowieka. Europejskie standardy w tym zakresie ustanawiają przede wszystkim Karta Praw Podstawowych Unii Europejskiej, rozporządzenia i dyrektywy unijne, a także orzecznictwo Trybunału Sprawiedliwości Unii Europejskiej. Ponadto kwestię powszechnego i równego prawa do wykształcenia podjęto również w dokumentach Rady Europy: Europejskiej konwencji praw człowieka i Europejskiej karcie społecznej, orzeczeniach Europejskiego Trybunału Praw Człowieka oraz decyzjach Europejskiego Komitetu Praw Społecznych.

The purpose of the article is to present women’s aspirations for access to academic education in Poland at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Educational inequalities accompanied women at all levels of education. However, the biggest problems were encountered by women in pursuit of tertiary education. It was this path of development that was inaccessible to them for the longest time in Poland. The difficult economic situation of Poles during the Partitions over time forced the society to slowly change the thinking and approach to the academic and professional activity of women. Due to the lack of opportunities to study in the partitioned area, the only possibility for Polish women to study at a higher level was academic emigration. The most common destinations were Switzerland, France, and, in the last decade of the 19th century, also Belgium. The beginnings of the practical struggle for access to tertiary education by women date back to 1892–1910. At this time, emancipation associations were involved in petitioning university authorities to grant women permission to study. This article is an attempt to trace the educational possibilities of women in Poland, with special emphasis placed on women’s aspirations to access academic education at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The article uses the methods of historical and pedagogical research and text analysis.

Access to education in terms of the elimination of architectural barriers – on the example of selected Polish universities located in historic buildings

Many universities in Poland are based in historic buildings. As public facilities, they must have accessibility for people with disabilities. Therefore, historic buildings undergo regular reconstruction to ensure accessibility on the basis of technical and construction regulations and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. For the purpose of the study, those with exceptional architectural, cultural and historical are presented. The article is concerned with determining the current state of accessibility of selected Polish universities for students with mobility disabilities. The first part of the paper deals with the verification of the background material in the form of statistical data and support programmes for the studied group of users. The second part presents historical information about the historic buildings along with a qualitative analysis of the elements already applied to eliminate architectural barriers. Nine selected historical teaching facilities located both in Warsaw and scattered throughout the country were analysed using the field observation method. The conclusion presents the results indicating the application in the realizations of the principle of rational improvement stating that the preservation of historic value can become paramount to ensuring full accessibility. Still, monuments should be treated individually, and the same applies to disabilities, where each is different and requires individual perception and treatment.

The article discusses the theoretical assumptions of research, the expression of education in modern society, analyzes scientific theories, and presents the development of educational accessibility in Europe and Lithuania. The relationship between public transformation and access to education is also analyzed, the essence of access to education and the problem of access to education in a transformed society are analyzed. The methodology and methodology of empirical research on the accessibility of education for students of grades II – IV G are presented. Lithuanian and EU documents regulating education reform and accessibility are analyzed, the results of the research on accessibility of education for students of grades II – IV G and their interpretation are presented. The preconditions for the provision of educational and social services that ensure equal access to education for pupils of grades II – IV G are also discussed.

Siedem motywów najważniejszych w polskim kontekście to równość dostępu do szkolnictwa wyższego i ekspansja systemów edukacyjnych, współfinansowanie studiów, finansowa niezależność uczelni, wyższe wykształcenie jako dobro prywatne i dobro publiczne, przedsiębiorczość uczelni, zmieniająca się dynamika relacji prywatne – publiczne w szkolnictwie wyższym oraz regionalna misja uczelni.
The paper contains a concise analysis of the most important motifs of discussions going on in Europe, which concern the future of the traditional institution of university and which are especially relevant in the Polish context. The seven motifs which are particularly important in the Polish context are: equal access to higher education and expansion of educational systems; co-funding of education; financial independence of universities; higher education as a private and a public good; entrepreneurial system of universities; the changing dynamics of the private versus public relation in higher education; and regional mission of universities.
