Opis:
Amidst the multitude of their professional obligations, teachers also function as informal educational diagnosticians. This role requires maturity and the ability to shed uncontrolled inclinations which could bias diagnoses they perform. Transactional analysis may assist with such a selfrecognition task. A feasibility study on how transactional analysis can explain the differences in teachers’ concepts of their diagnostic duties has been carried out on a small sample of 30 post-graduate students of education. The students completed two inventories: (1) an original set of four ten-item scales labeled: Procedural (learned by assimilation), Taking a Risk (learned by doing), Theoretician (learned by discovery), and Intuitive (learned by experience). (2) the Egogram representing nine categories of double-level analysis, created in the Research Group for Educational Transactional Analysis in Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. The main findings of the study include the following ones: 1. In students’ opinion, Procedural type of a diagnostician resembles mostly Adult in Adult attitude and is free of the Parent in Parent authoritarian flaw. 2. The Taking a Risk diagnostician is closest to Adult in Parent, practice-oriented educator. 3. Theoreticians are also Adult in Parent personalities supported by the Parent in Adult ethical considerations. 4. Intuitive diagnosticians are versatile, associated with all types of Parent and Adult but not with the Childish spontaneous attitude except of certain amount of the Adult in Child’s creativity. Much more research is needed to confirm the findings and to transfer them into acting educational evaluators: homeroom and subject-matter teachers, tutors, and supervisors.

The aim of this article is to examine the civic and cultural identities of two aristocrats who held important offices and belonged to the ruling elite of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the late eighteenth century: the last Vice-Chancellor of Lithuania, writer, and economist, Kazimierz Konstanty Plater (1749–1807), and the last Grand Treasurer of Lithuania, diplomat, and composer, Michal Kleofas Ogiński (1765–1833). The analysis of the ego-documents of the Ogiński and Plater families helps answer the question why these two aristocrats, promoting the ideas of the Enlightenment, in 1795 chose different paths: Ogiński emigrated to Italy where he developed close ties with the cultural elite of Florence but never abandoned the idea of active struggle, whereas Plater stayed in Lithuania. Plater made compromises with the invaders. He sought to figure out the governing mechanism of the Russian Empire and to secure protection and support from the new government.

W 1844 r. ukazało się dzieło Maksa Stirnera Jedyny i jego własność, w zamyśle obrazoburcze, w praktyce zaś zbagatelizowane nawet przez władze państwowe, które rezygnując z konfiskaty książki, uznały pomieszczone w niej pomysły za niedorzeczne, a tym samym całkowicie niezagrażające porządkowi publicznemu. Krytyki Jedynego dokonali jednak Karol Marks i Fryderyk Engels, wyśmiewając bezlitośnie teoretyczny projekt Stirnera na stronach Ideologii niemieckiej. Intryguje objętość tej krytyki – jest ona dość potężna jak na tak, zdawałoby się, marne dzieło, a przy tym o wiele obszerniejsza niż Stirnerowski oryginał. Czy bezwartościowemu dziełu poświęca się tak wiele uwagi? W artykule podjęta została próba ukazania rzeczywistego stosunku do – jak by chcieli Marks z Engelsem – utopijnej i absurdalnej figury Stirnerowskiego Jedynego. Na tle krytyki Stirnera przyglądam się Marksowskiemu ujęciu człowieka i społeczeństwa. Czy nie można twierdzić, że Marksa opis rzeczywistości jest równie absurdalny i niemożliwy do zrealizowania jak pomysły Stirnera?

W artykule została zaprezentowana teoria „Ego-2-Eco” jako konsekwencja zmian technologicznych, ekonomicznych i społecznych zachodzących we współczesnym świecie. Przeanalizowano, w jakim stopniu polscy konsumenci przygotowani są na wdrożenie tej koncepcji, która wydaje się najbardziej odpowiednia w kontekście obecnej sytuacji gospodarczej, ale wymaga gruntownych przewartościowań, głównie w aspektach: świadomości ekologicznej, współpracy i poczucia wspólnoty.
The article presents the „Ego-2-Eco” concept that was created as a consequence of technological, economic and social changes in nowadays world and seems to be one of the most adequate concepts in present economic situation. It was discussed whether Polish customers are ready to participate in the new concept introduction when it requires some profound changes in many aspects of social perception as: ecological awareness, involvement and collectivity.

W artykule poruszono zagadnienie wpływu wczesnej relacji z opiekunem na sposób funkcjonowania Ja cielesnego. Zaproponowano autorską próbę konccptualizacji pojęcia Ja cielesnego, w której główny nacisk położono na funkcje (doznawanie, interpretacja, regulacja) pełnione przez tę instancję oraz treści (doznania, potrzeby cielesne, stany emocjonalne, poczucie tożsamości) będące przedmiotem jej opracowania. Omówiono rozwój poszczególnych reprezentacji doświadczeń cielesnych przyjmując, że ich jakość jest uzależniona od zdolności opiekuna do wspierania rozwoju funkcji przypisanych Ja cielesnemu. Opisano także znaczenie reprezentacji doświadczeń cielesnych dla poczucia tożsamości fizycznej, będącego fenomenologicznym kryterium funkcjonalności (tzw. siły) Ja cielesnego.
This article analyses the impact of the early relationship with a caregiver on functioning of the bodily Ego. A definition is proposed of the bodily self as a concept which involves functions (sensing, interpretation, regulation) fulfilled by the bodily Ego and the contents on which it works (sensations, bodily needs, emotions and sense of physical identity). Development of specific bodily experiences was also discussed with emphasis on their associations with the abilities of an early caregiver to support the functions ascribed to the bodily Ego. The importance of bodily experience representations was highlighted for the sense of physical identity which is the phenomenological criterion of the functionality (i.e. strength) of the bodily Ego.

W latach 2015–2018 w jednej ze szkół w Płocku realizowana jest innowacja pedagogiczna z wykorzystaniem tutoringu rówieśniczego. W ramach tych działań przeszkoleni uczniowie-tutorzy mają wspierać swoich młodszych kolegów z innych szkół w wyborze zawodu. Co ciekawe, ta sama szkoła korzysta także z metody tutoringu wychowawczo-rozwojowego, która oznacza tworzenie wspierającej rozwój relacji tutorskiej między tutorem-nauczycielem a uczniem. Tym samym w tej placówce można znaleźć uczniów, którzy mają swoich tutorów, sami są tutorami, bądź też doświadczają obu tych rzeczywistości. Ta perspektywa pobudziła ciekawość badawczą autorki poniższego artykułu, która postanowiła określić, czy w związku z tym uczniów doświadczających różnych typów tutoringu różnicują ich stany Ja.
Between 2015–2018 one of the schools in Płock was implementing a pedagogical innovation which used peer tutoring. It involved the support of trained students-tutors given to their younger colleagues from other schools in the choice of profession. Interestingly, the same school also uses the method of an educative-developmental tutoring, which involves creating relationships between the teacher-tutor and his pupil. Thus, in the same place we can be find students who have their own tutors, who are tutors themselves, or who experience both of these realities. This perspective stimulated research curiosity of the author of this article, who decided to determine if students who experience different types of tutoring are differentiate Ego states.

Z perspektywy analizy transakcyjnej człowiek, aby móc funkcjonować i rozwijać się optymalnie, powinien dysponować właściwie ukształtowanymi, pozostającymi w równowadze trzema stanami osobowości – wewnętrznym Rodzicem, Dorosłym i Dzieckiem. Przy czym o równowadze tej w przeważającej mierze decyduje wewnętrzny Dorosły. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie punktów wspólnych analizy transakcyjnej i podejścia skoncentrowanego na rozwiązaniach jako orientacji pracy pomocowej i edukacyjnej z osobą dorosłą oraz możliwości włączania zasobów obu podejść w pracy nad osiąganiem przez klientów celów życiowych poprzez wzmacnianie stanu Ja-Dorosły. Wykorzystywanie w pracy z klientem technik AT i PSR sprzyja wzmacnianiu i aktualizowaniu potencjału i sprawczości osoby, co przekłada się na poczucie satysfakcji, zadowolenia i szczęścia. Przedstawione w niniejszym opracowaniu propozycje wykorzystywania AT i PSR we wzmacnianiu stanu Ja-Dorosłego odzwierciedlają doświadczenia pomocowe autorki w tym zakresie.
In Transactional Analysis, optimal human functioning and development are ensured when the equilibrium of three properly developed ego-states, the Parent, the Adult and the Child, is maintained. The equilibrium relies predominantly on the functioning of the Adult. The aim of this article is to explore potential points of convergence between Translational Analysis (TA) and Solution-Focused Approach (SFA). Both approaches focus on help and educational work with adults. Thus, a question arises if the resources available in both approaches can be jointly used when working with clients on their life objectives through strengthening their Adult ego-state. Mixed application of AT and SFA fosters the increase and development of the potential and agency, which leads to a sense of satisfaction, well-being and happiness. The proposal to use TA and SFA together in order to strengthen the Adult ego-state of the client is drawn from the author’s own experience as helper.

The author of this article draws the readers' attention to the importance of activity as one of the forms of time structuring. The aim of her study was to identify the respondents's preferences to perform an activity (work) with other individuals or groups and to verify whether and to what extent the ego states differentiate respondents in realizing their preferred activity (work) in relation to other persons or groups. To find the answers to these questions, she applied the quantitative method of a diagnostic survey using two surveys: “Working with people” and “The Structural egogram. Self-assessment questionnaire of the ego states” developed by A. Pierzchała and A. Sarnat-Ciastko. The research procedure revealed that most respondents appreciate the opportunity to work in pairs with a person that is well-known and endowed with friendly feelings. On the other hand, their ego states are differentiated mainly by the choice of associates because of their age or a particular state.

AESTHETIC SUPERLATIVES – CRYPTO-ENSLAVEMENT The highest ideals of many estheticians are connected with the glorification of different forms of slavery. There are other ‘holy words’ which belong to this category and we use them as our highest ratings. Together with them we take the attitudes, relationships, self-portraits incompatible with freedom, and ultimately with the idea of truth, which is a prerequisite of freedom – and while accepting these attitudes, entering into this relationship with art, nature and other people, imaging ourselves – we even feel proud of it. This form of crypto-enslavement is connected with such ideas and words as pleasure, delight, fascination, sublime, wonder, authenticity, expression (this one in particular). They are often used in the context of beauty, experience, creative work, tasks, role, essence of art.

W artykule opisano implementację w układzie FPGA systemu, realizującego zadanie szacowania ruchu własnego urządzenia (np. robota mobilnego), wyposażonego w pojedynczą kamerę. Zrealizowano ją w architekturze hybrydowej, sprzętowo-programowej. W artykule przedstawiono szczegółowy opis wynikowej architektury, jak również użycie zasobów układu programowalnego, oraz analizę wydajności systemu, wraz z porównaniem z alternatywnym rozwiązaniem opartym o komputer PC.
The paper presents implementation of the robot ego-motion estimation algorithm in a single FPGA. The input data for the algorithm are feature correspondences detected in the image sequence registered by a single camera. The implemented system, based on the Microblaze microprocessor along with a dedicated hardware coprocessor, performs all stages of the algorithm - computation of the essential matrix using the 8-point algorithm employing singular value decomposition, robust estimation of the correct essential matrix using the RANSAC algorithm as well as computation of the rotation matrix and the translation vector (up to a scale) from the essential matrix [1, 2]. The system was implemented in a Virtex 5 PFGA and is capable of working with a clock speed of 100MHz. The microprocessor is used to find successive essential matrices using singular value decomposition. The solutions are tested for correctness using the coprocessor with the RANSAC algorithm [3]. The coprocessor employs a reduced, 23-bit floating point number representation to reduce resource usage. Upon successful completion of the essential matrix estimation, rotation and translation are computed. Additional sensors are used to deal with rotation and translation sign ambiguity. Table 1 presents the summary of resources used for implementation. Figure 1 outlines the system architecture. The results obtained are satisfactory and promising. The availability of inexpensive, low power, small footprint solution for ego-motion estimation is desirable for many applications.

Is it good to be resilient during the COVID‑19 period? The role of ego-resiliency in the intensity of symptoms of anxiety, alcohol use and aggression among Polish people

ObjectivesThe SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has affected the development of negative phenomena such as anxiety symptoms, a tendency to use alcohol and aggressive behaviors. It is postulated to investigate the factors limiting the development of the indicated adverse effects. One of the psychological resources that may have a significant, pro-health character in relation to mental functioning is ego-resiliency (ER). It is described as a personality trait associated with a high ability to adequately regulate self-control, depending on the conditions. There are studies providing information about the prohealth, adaptive nature of ER during the COVID‑19 period. The aim of the study was to assess the relationships between ER and anxiety, the tendency to use alcohol and aggression in the group of Polish people in the initial lockdown period in Poland.Material and MethodsOverall, 538 adult Polish people participated in the study. The Ego-Resiliency Scale referred to as ER89-R12, according to Block’s concept, was used to measure ER. The other scales used were the General Anxiety Disorder Scale, the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test, and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire. Statistical analyses were performed using Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, the multiple regression procedure, the Mann-Whitney U test and the Kruskal-Wallis rank ANOVA. Cronbach’s α coefficients were also assessed.ResultsStatistically significant negative relationships between ER and the severity of anxiety symptoms and generalized aggression were found. There was a weak positive relationship between ER and the tendency to use alcohol. Among the surveyed Polish people, higher ER was characteristic of the older respondents (aged >29 years) and people with higher education.ConclusionsEgo-resiliency in the times of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic can counteract the development of anxiety and aggression. Optimal regulation seems to play an important role in this relationship. The relationship between resiliency and the tendency to use alcohol requires further observation.

The article is an analysis of Ciało wiersza [The Body of the Poem], a poetic volume by Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki, in the light of psychoanalysis, somatopoetics and philosophy of the body. The author juxtaposes the category of the “body of the poem” with Jean-Luc Nancy’s Corpus. In this context he presents Ciało wiersza as a collection of texts describing the situation of a subject embodying the content of its psyche, transgressing and being on the verge of mental entropy or schizophrenia. Close to Freud’s cathartic method, Tkaczyszyn-Dycki treats the poem as a reservoir of psychogenic material and a projection instrument. The somatext, as embodied unconsciousness, analyzed through the prism of basic Freudian tools (defense mechanisms, regressive shifts), appears as a resultant of the dialectic of repression and the imperative of commemoration, which channels libidinal energy through imaginative displacements. Referring to the recurring leitmotifs of Tkaczyszyn-Dycki’s imagination in Ciało wiersza, the author traces how the poet reflects in the poetic text the workings of the psychic apparatus and the “multiple names” of schizophrenia.
