Opis:
Taxi is an important part of urban passenger transportation system. The research and analysis of taxi trip behavior is the key to meet the demand of urban passenger transport and solve the traffic congestion problem. Based on the GPS data of taxis in Nanjing, the statistical method is used to analyze the taxi characteristics of the average number of passengers, the average passenger time, the no-load distance and the passenger distance. By using the double logarithmic coordinate, the trip distance and trip time of taxi passengers are analyzed, it is found that the average trip distance of taxi passengers is mainly concentrated in 3-20 km, and the average trip time of taxi passengers is mainly concentrated in 10-30 minutes. Using the information entropy theory to construct the equilibrium model of taxi passenger-carrying point, and analyze the spatial distribution of taxi, it is found that the distribution of urban taxi is unbalanced. The peak clustering algorithm is used to determine the location of passenger gathering points, and the hot spot of taxi trip is analyzed, it is found that the hot spots of taxi trip are mainly concentrated in the central city of Nanjing. Combined with the results of urban taxi trip analysis, from the perspective of taxi and passenger, we found that the number of urban taxis, the passenger carrying rate of taxis, the duration period of passenger trip, the duration and distance of passenger trip and the location of passenger trip points will have an impact on the urban taxi carpooling in Nanjing. By using the probability model of urban taxi carpooling, this paper discusses and analyzes the influence of these factors on urban taxi carpooling. The research in this paper can provide a reference for the effective implementation of urban taxi carpooling policy.

Opis:
Taxiing of manned and remotely piloted aircraft is still performed by pilots without using a system of automatic control of direction and speed. Several reasons have emerged in recent years that make the automation of taxiing an important design challenge. The reasons are: decreased airport capacity due to the growing number of aircraft, poor ground operation conditions during poor visibility conditions, an increase in workload of pilots and air traffic controllers and the integration of simultaneous ground operations of manned and remotely piloted air vehicles. This paper presents selected aspects of the concept of a Low Level Automatic Taxi Control System In particular, it emphasizes the means of controlling an aircraft during taxiing, accuracy requirements of the system and proposes control techniques. The resulting controller of the system is adaptable for different aircrafts. The actuators and their mechanical connections to available controls are the aircraft specific part and are designed for the particular type - in this case - a general aviation light airplane.

Opis:
Traditionally, besides personal vehicles, individual passenger transportation is carried out by taxi services. These services have both positive sides, such as, for example, door-to-door delivery and comfort, as well as negative sides, such as the high cost of the trip. On the one hand, the services, such as Uber and Gett, attract customers with the help of low prices, but, on the other hand, they have a number of disadvantages, the main of which is the problem concerning transportation security. In addition, it must be mentioned that the usage of individual transport is often associated with incomplete load of vehicles, which causes an additional negative impact on the environment as well as on the road network. This article presents a decision support system for taxi dispatch services based on the model of optimal route choice. Optimization is carried out with the help of multifactor analysis of transportation requirements and selection of the optimal route in accordance with given priorities. Such a system will reduce the cost of transportation through the selection of fellow travelers as well as a negative impact on the environment by using a mobile application.

Opis:
This paper analyses the use of exact offline optimization methods for benchmarking online taxi dispatching strategies where the objective is to minimize the total passenger waiting time. First, a general framework for simulating dynamic transport services in MATSim (Multi-Agent Transport Simulation) is described. Next, the model of online taxi dispatching is defined, followed by a formulation of the offline problem as a mixed integer programming problem. Three benchmarks based on the offline problem are presented and compared to two simple heuristic strategies and a hypothetical simulation with teleportation of idle taxis. The benchmarks are evaluated and compared using the simulation scenario of taxi services in the city of Mielec. The obtained (approximate) lower and upper bounds for the minimum total passenger waiting time indicate directions for further research.

Opis:
With the expansion of the use of digital technologies, the nature of almost all service industries has changed. Taxi services are no exception. The use of mobile applications, and the creation of call centres, have simplified the access of passengers to taxis and created a new situation. Despite this, with the emergence of a new situation, new problems appeared. This article aims to study taxi services organization and regulation. Thus, surveys were conducted to study attitudes towards offered services for passengers and drivers, the main participants in the taxi market. The questionnaires are aimed at studying the satisfaction of passengers and the attitude of drivers to working conditions. The total weight of using a taxi in comparison with other types of urban transport is determined. The frequency and main reasons for requests for taxi services were identified. This paper also studied the degree of use of mobile applications for calling a taxi and the distribution of orders between taxi companies. Surveys among drivers were mainly aimed at studying the mode of their work and their attitude to the conditions offered by taxi companies. To solve the identified problems, an appropriate regulation method through a single digital platform was proposed.

Opis:
A growing body of literature on urban and grassroots social movements is replete with case studies of citizens mobilizing against infrastructural development projects. These mobilizations, known as insurgent citizenship-the participation in alternative channels of political expression-take different forms and have various impacts. An investigation into the case of the mobilizing agenda of the Greater Bloemfontein Taxi Association (GBTA) against using a costly intermodal transport facility in Bloemfontein is aimed at highlighting the often neglected dilemma of how powerless citizens-for example, taxi owners-respond to state hegemony. Theoretically, the article is grounded in the conceptual framework of insurgent citizenship and, empirically, draws on narratives of a range of participants. The findings provide an understanding of the importance of organizational structure and leadership in the sustained insurgent action by the GBTA. It is argued that the insurgent action by the GBTA is produced mainly by-on the one hand-the conflictual relationship between government policies and practices and-on the other hand-grassroots resistance to their exclusionary and marginalizing effects. Furthermore, the findings elucidate that insurgent practice may be driven by neoliberal principles of competition, profit, and entrepreneurship.

Opis:
Carpooling has been long deemed a promising approach to better utilizing existing transportation infrastructure, the carpooling system can alleviate the problems of traffic congestion and environmental pollution effectively in big cities. However, algorithmic and technical barriers inhibit the development of taxi carpooling, and it is still not the preferred mode of commute. In order to improve carpooling efficiency in urban, a taxi carpooling scheme based on multi-objective model and optimisation algorithm is presented. In this paper, urban traffic road network nodes were constructed from the perspective of passenger carpooling. A multi-objective taxi carpooling scheme selection model was built based on an analysis of the main influences of carpooling schemes on passengers. This model aimed to minimise get-on-and-get-off distance, carpooling waiting time and arriving at the destination. Furthermore, a two-phase algorithm was used to solve this model. A rapid searching algorithm for feasible routes was established, and the weight vector was assigned by introducing information entropy to obtain satisfying routes. The algorithm is applied to the urban road, the Simulation experimental result indicates that the optimisation method presented in this study is effective in taxi carpooling passengers.
