Niniejszy artykuł dotyka problematyki nierówności szans edukacyjnych i możliwości realizacji kariery naukowej przez osoby wywodzące się z klas ludowych, która w polskiej przestrzeni badawczej nie była dotychczas eksplorowana. Podstawowym źródłem danych w niniejszym artykule są narracyjne wywiady biograficzne z pracownikami dydaktyczno-badawczymi polskich uczelni, którzy mimo pochodzenia z mniej uprzywilejowanych rodzin, nieposiadających znacznych zasobów kapitału społecznego, kulturowego i ekonomicznego, zdołali osiągnąć sukces w świecie naukowym. Główne pytanie badawcze brzmi: w jaki sposób konfiguracja różnego rodzaju kapitałów zakumulowanych i mających swoje źródło w rodzinie wiąże się z rozwojem kariery akademickiej w Polsce? Autorzy artykułu proponują upowszechnienie nowych pojęć teoretycznych: „antykapitał rodzinny” oraz „podwyższony kapitał kulturowy”.
This article refers to problems that have not been explored in the Polish research space so far, namely educational opportunities and career paths for academics from working classes. The basic source of data in this article are narrative biographical interviews with academics employees of Polish universities who, coming from a family with modest intellectual traditions, and scarce social, cultural and economic capital, have managed to achieve success in the scientific world. The main research question is: how is the configuration of various types of capital accumulated in the family related to the development of an academic career in Poland? The authors of the article propose the dissemination of new theoretical concepts: “anti-capital of a family” and “upward cultural capital”.

The COVID-19 pandemic is undoubtedly a crisis situation, which means that the lives of persons experiencing it will never be the same as before. Professional helpers are faced with numerous challenges related to the change in their work flow, the need to modify strategies, work methods and tools, or to the switch from on-site to remote work. In this context, professional helpers’ resources are of considerable importance, as they constitute an important part of the welfare system. The analysis of the results of previous studies suggests that social workers’ change readiness and positive orientation not only may increase their professional effectiveness, but may even foster better quality of life. The present study investigated positive orientation and change readiness, as important predictors of professional functioning of persons in the sample group. The questionnaires were distributed among 189 professional helpers working in the Polish welfare system. The response rate was 98% (the final sample consisted of 185 persons) The results show that most subjects are characterized by the below-optimal levels of all the analyzed traits of the change readiness, but high and medium levels of positive orientation. The groups differed from one another in terms of adaptability (difference close to statistically significant). Change readiness and positive orientation may constitute important resources for professional helpers. Long service, being married, and a low level of change-readiness revealed in the presented study, may indicate that change-readiness is a general tendency in specific individuals, and is not dependent on the nature of changes themselves. The results may prompt a search for relations between personality factors and change-readiness.

The subject of research is the educational system and guanxi culture and its practical implications. In the article, the existing studies are used of Chinese and other foreign authors. The qualitative research method involves analyses of secondary sources which outlined the methods and principles of operation of the old Chinese tradition of regulating social relationships in education in the network of three-sided personal relations: school-home, parent-teacher, and students-teachers.

This study is a prolegomena for reflection on the legal system of church universities in Poland. This article is the first of two parts of research on this issue. In this part, attention has been focused on, firstly, the specificity of the Polish context of the issues we are interested in, and, secondly, the universities run by non-Catholic churches and religious associations. The presented specificity is also an introduction to research, which was included in a separate text “Church Universities in the Higher Education System in Poland. Part 2: Universities Run by the Catholic Church.” The material scope of Part 1 includes analyses of legal and non-legal sources regulating the functioning of non-Catholic church universities in Poland. In addition, a systemic division of these universities has been proposed, together with their description and specification of differences in legal status.

The Government of Hungary’s view of the transformed economic and political situation in the new country can be vividly presented through the main features of Hungary’s cultural and educational policy in the 1920s. The government tried to find a way out of the national shock caused by the Treaty of Trianon by focusing on and promoting the quality and quantity of education, culture, and training, although revenge was still at the front of their minds. This bipolar process of swing ‑ ing between past and future was led by Klebelsberg, who, as Minister of Education, headed the Ministry of Religion and Education from June 16, 1922, to August 14, 1931. Through his work and speeches, we can learn much about the spirit of the time, the main currents in politics and humanities, people’s thoughts about the Treaty of Trianon, and the ways it was dealt with – and it should also be emphasized that his work and the spirit of the time can still be felt today. Our most important research method is the processing of historical sources and, of course, the use of relevant specialist literature.

W artykule zostały zaprezentowane wyniki ilościowych badań własnych przeprowadzonych techniką ankiety internetowej wśród 393 rodziców edukujących dzieci w domu. Artykuł obejmuje zarówno krótką charakterystykę społeczno-demograficzną rodziców, jak i analizę motywów przenoszenia dzieci ze szkół systemowych na nauczanie domowe. Motywy wskazane przez badanych rodziców zostały poddane analizie zgodnie z przyjętą w literaturze przedmiotu klasyfikacją na motywacje pozytywne (czynniki przyciągające – pull factors) i negatywne (czynniki odpychające – push factors). Warto zaznaczyć, że wśród pięciu najczęściej wskazywanych motywów dominowały czynniki odpychające od szkół systemowych – brak indywidualnego podejścia do dziecka w szkole, zbytnie przeciążenie nauką oraz pogoń za ocenami i rywalizacja między uczniami w szkole.
The article presents the results of quantitative research conducted using an online survey technique among 393 parents who educate their children at home. The article includes both a brief socio-demographic characterisation of the parents and an analysis of the motives for transferring children from system schools to home schooling. The motives indicated by the parents surveyed were analysed according to the classification accepted in the literature into positive motives (pull factors) and negative motives (push factors). It is worth noting that among the five most frequently indicated motives, the following dominated the push factors out of the system schools – lack of individual approach to the child at school, excessive learning overload and the pursuit of grades and competition between students at school.

30 marca 2023 r. w Auli Kryształowej Szkoły Głównej Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie, odbyła się ogólnopolska konferencja pt. „Tworzenie rozwiązań systemowych wzmacniających transfer wiedzy i innowacji pomiędzy doradztwem rolniczym a uczelniami”, zorganizowana przez Centrum Doradztwa Rolniczego w Brwinowie, we współpracy ze Szkołą Główną Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie i Instytutem Ekonomiki Rolnictwa i Gospodarki Żywnościowej – Państwowym Instytutem Badawczym w Warszawie. On March 30, 2023 in the Crystal Hall of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, a nationwide conference entitled "Creating system solutions to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and innovation between agricultural advisory services and universities", organized by the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów, in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute in Warsaw. The aim of the conference was to present the results of research on the state of cooperation between agricultural consultancy and public universities educating in agricultural professions and to assess the current functioning of the Knowledge and Innovation System in Agriculture in Poland. "Good practices of cooperation of agricultural advisory services with entities of the higher education and science system on the example of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship" is the scope of the lecture delivered by the author during the conference.

We wrześniu 2021 r. do polskich szkół uczęszczało 15 tysięcy uczniów z niepełnosprawnością słuchu. Zdecydowana większość (86%) to osoby słabosłyszące, głusi – stanowiący grupę ponad dwóch tysięcy osób – byli więc mniejszością. We współczesnym świecie nie powinno to jednak oznaczać braku lub ograniczonego dostępu do jakichkolwiek usług publicznych, zwłaszcza edukacji. Gwarancja powszechnego i równego dostępu do nauki została zapisana w Konstytucji RP, zapewnia ją także ratyfikowana przez Polskę Konwencja o prawach osób niepełnosprawnych. Zobowiązuje ona do zapewnienia edukacji bez dyskryminacji i na zasadach równych szans, w sposób zmierzający do pełnego rozwoju potencjału oraz poczucia godności i własnej wartości. Wyniki kontroli przeprowadzonej przez NIK pokazały, że państwo nie wypełnia tego zobowiązania wobec głuchych uczniów, dla których podstawowym i pierwszym językiem komunikacji jest język migowy, a nie polski.
In September 2021, there were 15,000 students with hearing disabilities in Polish schools. The vast majority (86%) of them were partially hearing-impaired persons, while over 2,000 persons were deaf. However, in the contemporary world the access to public services, especially education, should not be limited to such persons, not to mention that they should not be deprived of it at all. General and equal access to education is guaranteed in the Constitution of Poland, and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which Poland has ratified. It obliges to ensure education without discrimination, and based on equal opportunities, in a way that aims at full development of potential, dignity and self-esteem. The results of the NIK audit have shown that the state does not meet this obligation to deaf students, for whom the sign language is the fist and the main means of communication.

The article reveals the potential of innovation management in regions on the example of the Lubusz Voivodeship. The aim of the article is to analyse the latest activities and initiatives supporting innovation in the Lubusz Voivodeship. To this end, it was important to identify the natur of the implementation process of innovative solutions, which may be recognized as politicial, i.e.: characterized by top-down initiatives and bottom-up implementation. The method of document analysis was used in the study, including primary and secondary sources. As a results, conclusions and recommendatitons for regional policy to support innovation were drawn. They indicate the need to use the scientific potential of University of Zielona Góra and other scientific and research institutions. They also reveal the need to strengthen the cooperation of the local self-government with the University for the development of innovation and creation of partnership networks in the region.

Zarys praw należnych dzieciom rozpoczyna się od starożytności, w ramach którego przedstawiono sytuację chrześcijan w społeczeństwie grecko-rzymskim basenu Morza Śródziemnego, w którym obowiązywało prawo rzymskie nie do końca przestrzegane. W artykule odniesiono się do średniowiecza, aby zbadać, czy ustawodawstwo zawierało przepisy prawne dotyczące ochrony małoletnich. Po krótkim historycznym nawiązaniu, Autorzy przedstawili proces ewolucji kościelnego systemu prawnego względem małoletnich, dzieląc go na trzy etapy. Obecny system prawny Kościoła katolickiego wchodzi w czwarty okres ewolucji, dlatego Państwo i Kościół powinni wykorzystywać narzędzia prawne, aby chronić małoletnich i dzieci.
The purpose of this article is to discuss ecclesiastical legislative reforms that affect minors. An outline of the rights due to children begins with antiquity, addressing the situation of Christians in the Greco-Roman society of the Mediterranean basin, where Roman law was in force but not fully respected. The article refers to the Middle Ages to examine whether legislation contained legal provisions for the protection of minors. After a brief historical reference, the Authors presented the process of evolution of the Church’s legal system towards minors, dividing it into three stages. The current legal system of the Catholic Church is entering the fourth period of evolution, and therefore the State and the Church should use legal tools to protect minors and children.

Opis:
The article has systematized and analyzed the digital indicators of the evolution of the eparchial women’s colleges, which existed in the Russian Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries on the basis of the reports of the Chief Prosecutor of the Holy Synod. This made it possible to distinguish the main characteristics of the women’s education level, both secular and religious, as well as to go far beyond the study of the history of separate educational institutions of the spiritual ministry, to avoid a regional approach to the coverage of eparchial women’s education. The analysis of the digital indicators and the corresponding calculations gave the possibility to reveal the dynamics of the increase in the number of women’s colleges in eparchies throughout the country and the increase in the number of students in eparchial colleges. The general development of women’s religious education has shown that the Kyiv eparchy had the highest rates in this sphere. Furthermore, eparchial women’s colleges in Kyiv were more open to representatives of other social classes.
Na podstawie sprawozdania oberprokuratora Świątobliwego Synodu artykuł systematyzuje i analizuje liczbowe wskaźniki rozwoju eparchialnych szkół dla kobiet, które funkcjonowały pod koniec XIX i na początku XX w. w Imperium Rosyjskim. Pozwoliło to wyodrębnić główne cechy edukacji dla kobiet wywodzących się ze stanu duchownego, a także wyjść poza badanie historii poszczególnych placówek oświatowych Seminarium Duchownego, uniknąć regionalnego podejścia do eparchialnej edukacji dla kobiet. Analiza wspomnianych wskaźników i wykonanie odpowiednich obliczeń pozwoliło określić dynamikę wzrostu liczby szkół dla kobiet w eparchiach całego kraju oraz wzrostu liczby uczniów szkół eparchialnych.
