    Opis:
    This article is devoted to analyzing and interpreting different images of zombie in mashup novels. That new genre of literature is a mixture of classical novel with fantastic, stunning motives of vampires or zombies. The main aim of this mixtures is to encourage readers to return to classical stories. It is also a kind of postmodern games, in which readers identify motifs typical for the 19th century literature and culture. In Pride and Prejudice and Zombies heroines are perceived as qualified warriors who want to fight with zombies, whereas the monsters only think about how to get and consume brains. In I am Scrooge. A Zombie Story for Christmas, Scrooge, who is resistant to zombie, has to travel around the world to find a cure which defeats the monsters. Zombies’ plague in Roberts’ novel is shown as an epidemic which spreads very quickly.

    The article is concerned with the gentle shift within theorizing on cyberculture where the well known and much publicized metaphor of remix has often been employed as a paradigmatic tool to describe the culture of constant reconfiguration as well as (according to Lawrence Lessig's famous statetment) Read/Write culture. Given the popularity of the term throughout the whole decade of 90s and beyond, it is significant that the concept of remix has recently faded out, replaced by the notion of mashup. Reaching out to some practices of the freshly established field of sound art and reflection on the audiality, the article sketches the distance between two terms which, although close in meaning, represent also significant differences when it comes to the strategies of cultural recycling and reconfiguration of already recorded/coded material.

    Opis:
    In the heroic decades of the sixties and seventies of twentieth century, performance art was defined as a form of anti-repetition art. Later, in the eighties and nineties, there was a move away from this anti-repetition ideology towards an ever-growing interest in documentation, re-performances and re-enactments. A configuration of factors: historical, cultural, artistic, technological, institutional, economical, socio-political and educational played a decisive part in this process. Together with it came a change in the theory and historical narration of performance art: since the late nineties there has been developing what the author of the article terms „the critical discourse on performance art”. Its aim is to re-examine the conditions, the possibility of existence and the functioning of performance in cultural and social spaces. The key is to rethink the relationship between performance art and repetition, most importantly in the form of documentation and re-enactment. The article presents some major themes that appear in the texts of various proponents of this discourse. It analyses, at times also in a critical fashion, the new approaches to performance art offered, indicates their possible applications but also their internal tensions and limitations. It is an attempt to focus on the shape of the arising discourse on performance art and repetition as well as to find among its concepts, the ones that seem to carry the greatest potential for research and critical interpretation.

    Upowszechnienie się Internetu na masową skalę doprowadziło do zmiany w sposobie uczestnictwa w kulturze: internauci (w szczególności ludzie młodzi) są obecnie nie tylko konsumentami kultury, lecz także jej aktywnymi twórcami. Twórczość ta przejawia się w podejmowaniu różnorodnych aktywności w Internecie, takich jak produkowanie remiksów, pisanie fanfików, tworzenie memów, blogowanie czy nagrywanie podcastów. Zjawisko to określane jest w literaturze jako „kultura partycypacji” ze względu na jego powszechność i globalny charakter. W artykule poruszono problematykę remiksu na tle polskiej ustawy z dnia 4 lutego 1994 roku o prawie autorskim i prawach pokrewnych (Dz.U. z 2021 r., poz. 1062 ze zm.). Celem artykułu jest analiza przepisów, które mogą mieć zastosowanie do twórczości remiksowej, oraz wskazanie trudności związanych z zaklasyfikowaniem remiksów do odpowiednich kategorii funkcjonujących na gruncie prawa autorskiego (utwór inspirowany, utwór zależny, utwór z cytatem, parodia), a także próba dokonania takiej klasyfikacji. Cel ten jest istotny, wpływa bowiem bezpośrednio na prawa twórcy utworu pierwotnego oraz potencjalne obowiązki twórcy remiksu.
    The Internet’s mass scale popularization has led to a change in the way people participate in culture: Internet users (especially young people) are now not only consumers of culture, but also its active creators. This creativity manifests itself in undertaking various activities on the Internet, such as, among others, producing remixes, writing fanfics, creating memes, blogging, or recording podcasts. This phenomenon is referred to in the literature as the “culture of participation” due to its universality and global character. This article deals with remixes in the context of the Polish Copyright Act. The aim of this study is to analyse the provisions of the Polish Copyright Act that may apply to remixes and to indicate the difficulties associated with classifying remixes to appropriate categories that function under Polish copyright law and to attempt to make such a classification. This goal is critical as it directly affects the rights of creators of original works and the potential obligations of creators of remixes.

    This paper contains a sociological analysis of an artistic project ‘Śródka Remix’ created by Marta Żakowska and realised during Poznan Malta Festival in 2011 (as a part of the New Situations project). During this project the artist and inhabitants of the Poznan district ofS´ ro´dka designed, prepared and placed in public space objects of so-called small architecture, created out of recycled furniture. Using Marek Krajewski’s concept of participation in culture and taking into account the context of the revitalisation of Śródka, the paper focuses on the mechanisms through which social bonds and relations with objects were created and transformed during the project. On the one hand this artistic intervention met the expectations of inhabitants regarding public space and many people participated in the project. On the other hand, the project revealed the existing social conflicts.
    Artykuł jest próbą socjologicznej analizy projektu artystycznego „Remiks Śródki” autorstwa Marty Żakowskiej, który został zrealizowany podczas Festiwalu Malta w 2011 r. (jedno z cyklu wydarzeń Nowe Sytuacje, ktorych kuratorką była Joanna Erbel). W ramach podjętych wówczas działań artystka oraz mieszkańcy poznańskiej dzielnicy Śródka zaprojektowali, wykonali i umieścili w przestrzeni miejskiej elementy tzw. małej architektury, powstałej w efekcie recyklingu domowych mebli. Koncepcja uczestnictwa w kulturze zaproponowana przez Marka Krajewskiego i kontekst rewitalizacji poznańskiej dzielnicy były podstawą analizy mechanizmów tworzenia i przeobrażeń relacji między ludźmi oraz przedmiotami w ramach realizowanego projektu. Choć artystyczna interwencja wpisywała się w oczekiwania mieszkańców Śródki odnośnie do przestrzeni publicznej i przyciągnęła ich uwagę, ujawniła również istniejące pośród nich podziały społeczne.

    The text focuses on the analysis and interpretation of the poem 'Bat Country on LCD' by Leszek Onak, which is a new media, subversive processing of 'Lament 1' – one of the threnodies by Jan Kochanowski, the work which is well‑established in the literary tradition. Due to the processes mentioned above, Kochanowski’s poem has been subject to a rapid and radical generative transformation. The authors emphasise that the work of Onak differs significantly from the previous artistic acts of Kochanowski’s followers because Onak grounds his creative strategy in the references to the sphere of new technologies, hybridisation processes, the programming language and, first of all, he uses the subversive remix and mash‑up strategies, which results in a radical change of both, the situation of artistic communication and the reception behaviours.
