Opis:: This paper describes the popularization of the Italian pedagogical thought in Polish textbooks about the history of education in general. It has shown that the authors of the textbooks gave a lot of information about the Italian school system and education and presented profiles of outstanding Italian educationalists, e.g. St John Bosco or Maria Montessori. This paper indicates that in the past centuries Poles were open to Italian intellectual currents, academic trips to the Italian Peninsula, and education at local universities. Polish textbooks about the history of education were popular (in the 20th c.) and still are an important source of knowledge about the history of Italian education. For the purposes of this paper, the contents of the most representative and popular textbooks have been analysed.

Opis:: The knightly culture is an issue of the margin of science and, as such, becomes the object of research of medieval study, including archaeology and weapon study. Among these was undoubtedly the forerunner of Andrzej Nadolski. His research into knightly culture and popularization of knowledge about it was the result of attempts to interpret the material side of life of medieval knights, especially weaponry. Interests in knightly culture of the scholar became the result of a particular stage of development of Polish arts and research challenges facing Polish archeology erected from the forties to the nineties of the Twentieth century. In the initial period based on a top-down program of study of material culture of early medieval Polish state, Nadolski placed particular emphasis on the study of early medieval weapons. In his study of the early arms and armour from the Polish lands were, however, discussed the cultural role of the sword and the spear. Within a few decades of his professional activity Andrzej Nadolski has repeatedly argued that he was knowledgeable about the history and transformation of medieval chivalry, which were not in the center of his research interests. These interests were often the carcass of his analysis of clothing and armor shows on the images of kings and knights battle performances, and virtually all studies and the discussions weapons, archaeological sites (mote castles, battlefields) and medieval art of war, which came from his pen. Nadolski’s erudition in the field of knowledge of the culture of chivalry was most apparent in his popularization work. By moving into the issues such as the ethos of chivalry and its Christian inspiration, knightly rituals, martial arts of war and tournaments, heraldry and hunting. His work has become a precious tip for further indepth study as part of a modern, interdisciplinary paradigm practicing of historical archeology and weapon studies.

Opis:: Wprowadzenie. Okres adolescencji to czas zmian dokonujących się w wielu wymiarach życia młodego człowieka. Jedną z nich są przeobrażenia w funkcjonowaniu w środowisku rodzinnym, czego wynikiem jest konieczność ponownej refleksji nad relacjami rodzic – nastolatek. Zadanie to stoi głównie po stronie osób dorosłych. Istotna wydaje się zatem znajomość psychospołecznych mechanizmów oraz zadań rozwojowych okresu adolescencji. Cel. Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na konieczność popularyzacji wiedzy na temat specyfiki rozwojowej okresu adolescencji w środowisku rodzinnym. Materiały i metody. W pracy przedstawiono rozważania teoretyczne oscylujące wokół psychospołecznej charakterystyki okresu młodości oraz dokonano analizy potrzeby popularyzacji wiedzy na temat specyfiki rozwojowej okresu adolescencji w środowisku rodzinnym. Wyniki. Podkreślona w artykule potrzeba świadomości wagi niniejszej problematyki wśród pedagogów może stanowić przyczynek do dalszych eksploracji naukowo-badawczych oraz działań praktycznych zmierzających do rozwoju relacji pomiędzy nastolatkami a rodzicami.
Introduction. The period of adolescence is a time of changes taking place on many dimensions of the functioning of young people. One of them is transformations in functioning in the family environment, which results from the need to realign parent-adolescent relationships. This task is mainly on the side of adults. Therefore, it seems important in this respect to know the psychosocial mechanisms and developmental tasks of the adolescence period. Aim. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the need to popularize knowledge about the developmental specifi city of adolescence in the family environment. Materials and methods. The paper presents theoretical considerations around the psychosocial characteristics of the period of youth and an analysis of the need to popularize knowledge about the developmental specifi city of adolescence in the family environment. Results. The need for awareness of the importance of this issue among educators, highlighted in the article, may be a contribution to further scientifi c and research exploration and practical animal activities to aid the development of relations between the teenager and the parent.

Opis:: The Internet is an essential tool in the mission of contemporary Catholic Church. It has become a daily instrument of work for priests and monks. Since 1990s the Bernardine Fathers and subsequently the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters have started to create the websites of their monasteries. Beyond a doubt it was caused by new opportunities of pastoral work, dialogue with the contemporary faithful, exchange of thoughts and experiences. Furthermore, the websites constitute a great aid to reach various kind of information especially those which concern the history of the Bernardine Fathers and the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters in Poland. The research papers present a different level, however they equip a reader with basic information about the presented monastic posts. Hence, they are worth reading.
Internet jest obecnie niezbędny w działalności współczesnego Kościoła katolickiego. Stał się zwykłym narzędziem pracy księży i zakonników. Począwszy od lat 90. XX wieku, bernardyni, a potem bernardynki, zaczęli stopniowo zakładać strony internetowe swoich klasztorów. Dzięki temu pojawiły się nowe formy pracy duszpasterskiej, możliwość dialogu ze współczesnymi wiernymi, przestrzeń wymiany myśli i doświadczeń. Strony internetowe stanowią ogromną pomoc w docieraniu do różnego rodzaju informacji, także tych dotyczących historii klasztorów bernardynów i bernardynek w Polsce. Opracowania są na różnym poziomie, niemniej dają czytelnikowi podstawowe informacje o dziejach prezentowanych placówek zakonnych.

Opis:: The main field of interest is the sensational character of texts with scientific subject matter. This is a characteristic trait of potentially every field of social life and almost every type of discourse, but in popular science texts and texts popularizing scientificknowledge it is presented in a more balanced way. On the basis of many examples of texts presented in online information portals the author shows how variously journalists value scientific discoveries and how this opinion depends on the evaluation of the scientific circles. In conclusion, it might be stated that the sensational character, so inseparably connected with tabloids, differs from the sensational character of popular science texts and texts popularizing scientific knowledge.

Opis:: The author classifies researchers in the field of literature studies, historians and popular science journalists as non-specialists in diachronic language studies. Having done so, the author analyses texts written by these authors as regards their views on historical studies in Slavic linguistics, historical grammar, history of Polish, onomastics, etymology and history of proper names. The list of analysed researchers and writers includes: Jarosław Marek Rymkiewicz, Krzysztof Masłoń, Leszek Szaruga (Witold Wirpsza), Jerzy Krasucki and Agnieszka Krzemińska. The paper ends with an appeal addressed to experts in diachronic language studies that they follow such outstanding Polish researchers and linguistic knowledge promoters as Jan Michał Rozwadowski, Kazimierz Nitsch, Stanisaaw Urbańczyk or Marian Kucała in popularizing diachronic language studies among the wide public.

Opis:: W drugiej połowie XIX i na początku XX wieku w Królestwie Polskim społeczność żydowska odgrywała ważną rolę w życiu społecznym, kulturalnym i naukowym. Lekarze pochodzenia żydowskiego często nawiązali współpracę z polskimi lekarzami, byli członkami stowarzyszeń naukowych i społecznych, należeli do redakcji czasopism naukowych, publikowali w periodykach społecznych i zawodowych. Ogromne zaangażowanie przedstawicieli żydowskiego zawodu medycznego było widoczne w zakresie popularyzacji wiedzy. We współpracy z polskimi lekarzami podejmowali trudne problemy medyczne, ale zajmowali się także kwestiami higienicznymi, społecznymi i edukacyjnymi. Byli aktywnymi członkami organizacji i inicjatorami licznych akcji społecznych o charakterze opiekuńczym, edukacyjnym i popularyzatorskim. Współpraca w dziedzinie społeczno-oświatowej pozwoliła zrealizować wiele śmiałych inicjatyw, wpływając na integrację ludności, zwłaszcza w największych miastach.
In the Kingdom of Poland in the second part of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century, the Jewish community played an important role in social, cultural and scientific life. Doctors of Jewish origin very often worked together with Polish doctors. They were members of scientific and social associations; they belonged to the editorial boards of scientific journals; they published in social and professional periodicals. A huge involvement on the part of representatives of the Jewish medical profession was visible as far as popularization of knowledge was concerned. In cooperation with Polish doctors, they took on strictly medical problems, but they also dealt with hygienic, social and educational issues. They were active members of organizations and initiators of numerous social campaigns of a protective, educational and instructive nature. Cooperation in social and educational areas allowed them to carry out a number of bold initiatives, and it contributed to increased integration of the populace, especially in larger cities.

Opis:: The search for connections between history and literature has been going on continuously since antiquity. Interference between disciplines is obvious today, due to the narrative form of application, bringing the stories told closer to the novel. The search for non-narrative connections continues to this day. The main task of this article is to conduct a brief analysis of the basic interpretations of both disciplines and to indicate their role in building alternative literary stories. It also serves to show that categories such as narrative, imagery, truth and fiction play a pivotal role in the historiographic teaching process through alternative literary histories.
