Można zaobserwować rekonfigurację geografii kościelnej w tym regionie, jak również dynamikę duszpasterską różnych parafii oraz pojawienie się kilku zgromadzeń zakonnych. Ponadto, zwraca się szczególną uwagę na to, jak rozwijał się udział świeckich w życiu duszpasterskim związany z zakładaniem stowarzyszeń religijnych, rozwojem katechezy i dzieł o charakterze społecznym. Dynamika tych zmian zaowocowała zamiarem założenia nowej diecezji w tym regionie i wiele lat później zamiar ten został zrealizowany jako obecna archidiecezja Toluca.
The present text analyses an overview of the pastoral situation of Toluca region during the archiepiscopal government of Don Pelagio Antonio Labastida y Dávalos. Thus, we can see a reconfiguration of the ecclesiastical geography in this region, as well as the pastoral dynamics of various parishes and the arrival of some religious congregations. Furthermore, there is a special attention on how the participation of the laity in pastoral life developed altogether with the foundation of pious associations, the development of catechesis and works of social nature. All these situations were enough reasons to have the intention to establish a new diocese in the region, many years after, it was finally conceived the current Archdiocese of Toluca.

It is seen as a network of cultural, trade and political exchanges constituting its specific civilisation based on parallel relations that balance partners’ worthiness according to their merit, achievements, usefulness, creative endeavour, and political influence. Imperial neighbours of the region who had not respected cultural parity in variety were at loss in building mutual relationships.

Opis:: John Paul II during his pontificate always reminded of the standing value of human life, of a complete need of respecting it. The man, despite of the stage of his life, has got the right to live longer, to develop, and to satisfy his needs. Today, however, we can notice that family situation has reached crisis point. This is true also about the Polish family. The statement saying that the recall to accept the abortion law is a regress on the way to democracy, and it is one of the biggest absurdities, which can be told by the thinking man. What makes sense for the country which is going to exist, is to serve- without exceptions- and to protect the lifethe fundamental thing of the world. This is why the attempt to kill the unborn people made under the majesty of the law is the democracy suicide, the stroke imposed into its heart. The catholic church has become alarmed with the lack of respect for the natural laws and for the disappearance of the life value. It is confirmed by the huge amount of the Church Documents devoted to this question. The catholic church is definitely against the abortion. To support this point many different pastoral forms of protection the unborn were worked out and introduced to the church life. The pastoral aims taken up for that are the following: the prayers, intensifying the knowledge, starting the Holly Life Days or Weeks, the Prayer Crusade to Protect the Conceived Children, the Spiritual Adoption of the Conceived Child, the Lonely Mothers’ Houses, the Window to the Life.

Opis:: Zasadniczym celem tego opracowania jest przypomnienie refleksji nad katechechetyką w pismach sługi Bożego ks. Franciszka Blachnickiego (1921-1987). Ten szczegółowy przedmiot teologii pastoralnej związał integralnie z wypracowaniem zasady formalnej teologii pastoralnej. Jeśli nie dokonamy tego, to nie można mówić o katechetyce, katechezie, przepowiadaniu katechetycznym słowa. Można, co najwyżej, mówić o pedagogice religijnej, nauce religii, metodyce i dydaktyce nauczania religii. Katechetyka jako szczegółowa dyscyplina teologii pastoralnej zyskała w nurcie eklezjologicznym tej dyscypliny swe należne miejsce, stając się nauką o kościelnym katechumenacie jako funkcji Kościoła zmierzającej do jego urzeczywistniania się w katechumenach. Szczególnie ważnym dla takiego jej rozumienia i praktycznej realizacji okazało się wydanie księgi liturgicznej Ordo initiationis christianae adultorum. Na podstawie zawartych tam sugestii ks. Franciszek Blachnicki, założyciel i twórca ruchu eklezjalnego pod nazwą Ruch Światło-Życie, wypracował program formacji deuterokatechumenalnej, który stanowi jedną z prób przeciwdziałania sytuacji kryzysu, w jakim znajduje się teologia pastoralna i zbawcza posługa Kościoła w Polsce. To działanie w swej strukturze doktrynalnej i formacyjnej tak się rozrosło, że Sługa Boży przedstawił ideę, ale jej nie opracował, która urasta do rangi tworzenia nowej podstawy zasady duszpasterstwa, z której należałoby odczytać i przejąć podstawowe prawa życia i rozwoju wspólnoty chrześcijan. Chodzi o postawienie postulatu wypracowania nowej zasady teologii pastoralnej, katechumenalnej, i wynikającego z niej duszpasterstwa. Jest to problem, który autor tego opracowania zgłasza pod rozwagę środowisku polskich pastoralistów, a więc eklezjologów pastoralnych, homiletyków, katechetyków, liturgistów i teologów pastoralnych społecznych.
The point of the elaboration is to remind a reflection on catechetics in publications of Franciszek Blachnicki (1921-1987). He integrally involved proper conception of catechetics with the formal principles of pastoral theology. Without that connection it is impossible to provide catechesis and catechetical preaching the Word. Because it is very specific: otherwise we can only tell at most about pedagogy of religion, didactics and methodology. Catechesis as detailed pastoral theology discipline gained in the mainstream of the ecclesiology its rightful place, becoming the science of the Church catechumenate as a function of the Church aimed at the accomplishment of the Christians. A particularly important for such her understanding and practical implementation turned out to issue liturgical book Ordo Initiationis christianae Adultorum. On the basis of the suggestions contained therein Franciszek Blachnicki, the founder and creator of the Light-Life Movement, has developed a program of deuterocatechumenal program, which is one of the attempts to counteract the crisis in which finds itself pastoral theology in Poland. This action in its structure and doctrinal formation has grown so that Blachnicki presented the new idea – but it has not developed – that rises to the rank of creating a new base of principles of pastoral care, which should be read and take over the basic rights of survival and development of Christian community. It's about developing a place for principles of new pastoral theology, catechumenal theology, and the pastoral care. It is a problem that the author of that report gives into consideration for the community of Polish pastoral theology, ecclesiology, and catechetics, homiletics and liturgists.
Rammentare la riflessione sulla catechesi del Servo di Dio Padre Franciszek Blachnicki è l’obiettivo principale di quest’articolo. La catechetica come una delle discipline di teologia pastorale ha ottenuto nell’ambito di ecclesiologia pastorale il suo giusto posto, diventando la scienza su catecumenato ecclesiastico in quanto funzione della Chiesa perseguita realizzazione della Chiesa in catecumeni. Per tale comprensione ed applicazione pratica ha un particolare rilevante emissione di un libro liturgico Ordo ini¬¬tia¬tionis christianae adultorum. Sulla base dei suggerimenti ivi contenuti padre Blachnicki, fondatore e creatore del movimento ecclesiale chiamato Movimento Luce-Vita, ha sviluppato un programma di formazione deutero-catecumenale, il quale è uno dei tentativi per contrastare la crisi, in cui è la teologia pastorale e la missione salvifica della Chiesa in Polonia.
Das grundsätzliche Ziel dieser Arbeit besteht in der Erinnerung an die Gedanken zur Katechetik in den Schriften des Dieners Gottes Franciszek Blachnicki (1921-1987). Diesen besonderen Gegenstand der Pastoraltheologie hat er integral mit der Erarbeitung des Formalprinzips der Pastoraltheologie verbunden. Wenn wir dies nicht tun, kann von Katechetik, Katechese oder katechetischer Wortverkündigung nicht die Rede sein. Man kann dann höchstens von Religionspädagogik, Religionslehre, Methodik und Didaktik des Religionsunterrichts sprechen. Als besondere Disziplin der Pastoraltheologie erlangte die Katechetik in der ekklesiologischen Strömung dieser Disziplin den ihr gebührenden Platz und wurde zur Lehre vom kirchlichen Katechumenat als einer Funktion der Kirche, die deren Verwirklichung in den Katechumenen anstrebte. Als besonders wichtig für dieses ihr Verständnis und ihre praktische Reali-sierung erwies sich die Herausgabe des liturgischen Buches Ordo initiationis christianae adultorum. Auf der Grundlage der dort enthaltenen Suggestionen erarbeitete Pater Franciszek Bla-chnicki, der Gründer und Schöpfer der unter dem Namen Ruch Światło-Życie (Licht und Leben) bekannt gewordenen ekklesialen Bewegung das Programm einer deuterokatechumenalen Formation, welches einen Versuch darstellt, der Krise entgegenzuwirken, in welcher sich die Pasto-raltheologie und der Heilsdienst der Kirche in Polen befindet. Dieses Wirken hat sich in seiner doktrinalen und formativen Struktur so ausgedehnt, dass dieser Diener Gottes eine Idee vor-stellte, die er jedoch nicht herausgearbeitet hat, welche den Rang besitzt, neue Grundlagen des Prinzips der Seelsorge zu schaffen, aus dem die grundlegenden Lebens- und Entwicklungsgesetze der Gemeinschaft der Christen abgelesen und übernommen werden müssten. Es handelt sich um das Postulat, ein neues Prinzip einer katechumenalen Pastoraltheologie und der daraus resultierenden Seelsorge zu erarbeiten. Das ist ein Problem, auf das der Autor dieser Abhandlung den Kreis der polnischen Pastoralisten, Homiletiker, Katechetiker, Liturgisten und sozialen Pastoralheologen aufmerksam machen will.

Narzędziem, które może posłużyć nowemu spojrzeniu na tradycyjną naukę Kościoła o grzechu pierworodnym i sprawić, że będzie ona w stanie wejść w dyskurs ze współczesną krytyką, jest teoria mimetyczno-oarnicza wypracowana przez francuskiego antropologa René Girarda, a rozwinięta przez szwajcarskiego teologa Raymunda Schwagera. Wykorzystanie tej teorii do reinterpretacji tradycyjnej doktryny o grzechu pierworodnym potwierdza aktualność tej ostatniej oraz pomaga lepiej zrozumieć mechanizmy, które mają decydujący wpływ na funkcjonowanie jednostek, instytucji i całych społeczeństw.
The works on pastoral theology are interesting sources that allow to reconstruct the model of a parish priest functioning in the era. Selected works published in Polish in the years 1809‒1914 are the basis of the source article. These include not only worksbooks, but also handbooks, guides, as well as the pastoral publications. The image that emerges from the works is not only the postulated, imaginated or created image, they are not only the theoretical work. The authors, experienced pastors, en wrote about what they experienced, in many passages there were reports of what and how it was. Their analysis makes it possible to capture many aspects of the priest’s life, including some aspects of everyday life pastoral activity, social activity, as well as issues related to the state-church relations. The article could not be a detailed discussion of all aspects of the issues undertaken in the title, it was to pay attention to certain features or the problems connected with the requirements that had to be met in order to move closer to the ideal pastor. These requirements were a re;ection of the conditions and needs of the age, and, moreover, an expression of the pastoral concept professed by the authors of studied works.

The problem of life and the reality of the family are closely connected and one can safely say that they are almost inseparable. It is enough to look at the documents of the Second Vatican Council to see that marriage and the family are a deep union of married life and love (Gaudium et Spes 48). St. John Paul II in the encyclical Evangelium Vitae highlights the relationship between the family and the gift of life (EV 92). This publication is dedicated to the pastoral support of marriages and families in respect for life. It consists of several parts in which the author presents successively the value and inviolability of human life, describing the basic environment of human life, that is a family whose mission is the transmission and protection of life. Next, we fi nd a discussion of the mission of the Church, which is called to serve man and family and especially to support the family in the affi rmation of life. The article culminates in the presentation of selected forms and ways of pastoral support for the family, including the word of God, the witness of the spouses’ lives, accompanying spouses and family, and concrete actions the Church undertakes to defend life.

Opis:: The problem of infertility today constitutes a challenge for pastoral theology and pastoral care of families. This article, of a theological-empirical character, addresses the correlation between marital satisfaction and a sense of life’s meaning among infertile married couples who seek help in Catholic clinics for infertility treatment. It first discusses the theoretical background and selected results of existing scholarship on the influence that infertility has on conjugal relations and a sense of life’s meaning. Then, it outlines the group of infertile married individuals studied and elucidates the research methodology employed. Then, the results of the research into a sense of life’s meaning and marital satisfaction are presented, together with the correlation between the two factors. The final section of the article offers conclusions drawn from the research conducted. The article argues that a sense of life’s meaning is visibly contingent on the respondents’ martial satisfaction, especially on their working together on their problems and leading trustful conversations about them, on their care for strengthening their mutual love, and on showing the spouse that they are loved. On this basis, the article argues that pastoral care offered to infertile couples needs to enhance their faith, which will have a positive impact on their sense of life’s meaning and on their marital satisfaction. Both within regular work at clinics for infertility diagnosis and treatment and within pastoral care, infertile couples should be taught to show care for their mutual bond, especially to have conversations that will enable them to manifest and strengthen their love and solve problems, as this would foster their marital satisfaction and enhance their sense of life’s meaning.

Opis:: This paper charts the past and the present lifestyle of cattle herders with regard to education among the Nilotic Buradiga, with emphasis on the changes in the perception of the relationship of livestock inheritance and its substitution by formal Western education. An attempt will be made to observe the connection between the herding life and the schooling process, and how the transmission of wealth among the Datoga is changing due to the missing livestock and the growing awareness of the benefit of formal education. Opis:: Życie małżeńskie obejmuje kilka etapów, na których małżonkowie mają do zrealizowania konkretne zadania. Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje tematykę regulacji poczęć u respondentów na różnych etapach cyklu życia rodziny. W pierwszej części prezentuje podstawy teoretyczne podjętego zagadnienia, a także opisuje grupę badawczą i metodologię badań. Badania objęły grupę 345 osób zamieszkujących diecezję sandomierską. W drugiej części artykuł ukazuje wyniki badań dotyczących rozumienia regulacji poczęć, wiedzy na temat metod planowania rodziny oraz stosowanych tych metod przez małżonków. Pod uwagę wzięto to, w jaki sposób małżonkowie rozumieją regulację poczęć, a także, czy potrafią odróżnić ją od regulacji urodzeń. Wyniki potwierdziły założenie, że etap w cyklu życia rodziny oddziałuje na posiadaną przez nich wiedzę dotyczącą metod regulacji poczęć oraz rozróżniania metod naturalnego planowania rodziny od metod antykoncepcyjnych. Etapy te różnicowały także stosowanie konkretnego rodzaju regulacji poczęć przez małżonków. W części końcowej artykuł przedstawia wnioski z badań oraz wskazania dla duszpasterstwa rodzin w omawianym zakresie. Wykazano, że małżonkowie, którzy są na etapie małżeństwa bez dzieci (M) częściej rozumieją regulację poczęć jako stosowanie antykoncepcji oraz aborcję. Z większą łatwością rozróżniają również metody antykoncepcyjne od pozostałych. Mniejszą wiedzę oraz zainteresowanie regulacją poczęć deklarują małżonkowie będący w fazie „pustego gniazda” (P). W związku z powyższym wskazane zostały działania zmierzające do umacniania wiedzy małżonków na temat regulacji poczęć niezależnie od fazy w cyklu życia rodziny. W tym celu pomocne może okazać się wzajemne towarzyszenie par będących na różnych etapach oraz aktywizacja i wymiana doświadczeń. Potrzebne wydaje się uwzględnianie w duszpasterstwie rozwojowych zadań małżonków oraz ukierunkowanie troski pastoralnej na wspieranie małżonków w realizacji zamysłu Bożego dotyczącego odpowiedzialnego rodzicielstwa.
Marital life includes several stages in which spouses have specific tasks to accomplish. This paper deals with the regulation of conception in respondents at different stages of this family life cycle. First, it presents a theoretical framework and describes both the methodology and the research group, 345 individuals of the Sandomierz diocese (Poland). The second part presents the findings of the research: people's understanding of the regulation of conception (as distinct from birth control), their knowledge of family planning methods, and what methods are actually used by couples. We found that these factors all varied according to the stage couples had reached in the family life cycle. Specifically, those who were married without children more often understand "regulation of conception" as the use of contraception or abortion, but they also distinguish more easily between contraceptive methods. Spouses in the “empty nest” stage demonstrated less knowledge of, and interest in, the regulation of conception generally. As to the implications for pastoral care of families, the work proposes strengthening the knowledge of all spouses about the regulation of conception, regardless of their stage in the family life cycle. Suggestions include the pairing of couples in different stages and actively eliciting the exchange of experiences. It is necessary always to take into account people's specific developmental tasks, and to focus pastoral care on supporting couples in the implementation of God's plan for responsible parenthood.

Opis:: Artykuł jest próbą ukazania roli narzeczeństwa jako szczególnego czasu kształtowania się postawy otwartości na życie. Współcześnie obserwuje się tendencje przeciwne takiej postawie. Odkładanie decyzji o poczęciu dziecka, ograniczanie liczby dzieci w rodzinie czy coraz bardziej powszechne stosowanie antykoncepcji, to podstawowe przejawy zmian na polu życia rodzinnego. Artykuł podejmuje polemikę z takim stanem rzeczy. Okres narzeczeństwa jest wnim ukazany jako jeden z etapów życia rodzinnego, który jest szczególnym czasem przygotowania do pełnienia roli męża i żony oraz ojca i matki. Jest to etap, na którym powinno odbywać się kształtowanie postawy otwartości na życie, a przez to przygotowanie do przyszłej prokreacji. Główny akcent tego przygotowania położony jest na dialogu narzeczonych, którzy otwarcie omawiają takie kwestie, jak: liczba dzieci, postawa wobec antykoncepcji czy zapłodnienia in vitro, a także sprawy trudne, czyli na przykład sytuację potencjalnej niepłodności. W toku formowania postawy otwartej na życie duże znaczenie ma rodzina pochodzenia i wyniesione z niej wzorce, które podlegają weryfikacji w okresie narzeczeństwa. Swoją rolę odgrywa tu także duszpasterstwo rodzin, które organizuje bezpośrednie przygotowanie do małżeństwa. Artykuł może stać się przyczynkiem do zweryfikowania przez narzeczonych własnej postawy otwartości na życie, ale jednocześnie stanowi wstęp do szerszego namysłu naukowego nad znaczeniem okresu narzeczeństwa w przygotowaniu do małżeńskiej prokreacji.
This paper is an attempt to present the role of engagement as a period when an open attitude towards life is shaped. Nowadays, the tendencies which dominate are quite the opposite. Postponing the decision of conception, reducing the number of children in family or using contraception, which is more and more common these days, are the primary symptoms of changes occurring in family life. This article argues with such state of affairs. It presents the engagement as one of the stages of family life when people can prepare to accept the role of husband or wife, father or mother. It is a period, when the open attitude towards life should be shaped, leading to future procreation. The main point lies in the dialogue between the engaged, who should discuss issues like: the number of children, the attitude towards contraception or in vitro fertilization, as well as difficult situations, such as potential infertility. In the process of shaping this open attitude towards life, two more aspects play vital role – the background and certain models of family life learnt in our families, which are verified in the engagement. Also, pastoral care of families performs a significant role by running courses related to direct preparation to marriage. This paper can be a starting point for the engaged to verify their attitudes towards life, but it is also an introduction to a wider scientific discussion related to the role of engagement in preparation to procreation in marriage.

Nowadays the problem of influence of modern secular world on the future clerics increased. Unfortunately, years of atheism on the post-Soviet territory have left the trace in a church history, having defined a big gap and loss of Christian traditions. The article is devoted to the problems of modern priesthood left without centuries-old traditions, and attempt to returning to truly pastoral care of their wards in modern secular society.

Opis:: Pierwotne zadanie polegało na tym, by zbadać, dokąd sięga biopolityka (zarówno w ścisłym sensie przestrzenno-materialnym, jak i historycznym). Rozważania dotycząjedynie warunków rozwiązania tytułowej kwestii. Skupiają się na analizie pojęcia „biopolityki”. Już sam sposób uprawiania i pisania przez Foucaulta historii pozwala zrozumieć genezę i status biopolityki. Metoda Foucaulta – rekonstruowana na podstawie wykładów z lat siedemdziesiątych – polega na postępującym odsłanianiu pozytywnych sił kryjących się w każdym zjawisku. Każda rzecz, zdarzenie historyczne konstytuuje się na gruncie pewnej konstelacji sił, będących dlań elementami genetycznymi. Same te siły rodzą się już wcześniej, zwykle osobno, w abstrakcji – potrzeba ich powiązania, aby mogłysię skonkretyzować. Zarazem jednak ta ich uprzednia abstrakcyjność staje się widoczna jedynie z perspektywy formy końcowej. W podobny sposób traktował dzieje Marks: historiogra*a to zawsze poszukiwanie elementów genetycznych, sił współtworzących dany fenomen. Foucault uprawia i przedstawia historię konkretyzacji. Konkretyzacja jest u niego zasadą transformacji. Stawanie się konkretu to zarazem stawanie się biopolityki.
Thee primary aim of this paper is to analyse the limits of biopolitics (both in the strict, spatial-material sense and from the historical point of view). The discussion will focus only on the conditions of giving an answear to the title question and on the concept of biopolitics. The way Foucault writes history is itself enough to understand the genesis and status of biopolitics. Foucault’s method – here reconstructed on the basis of his lectures from the seventies – consists of a progressive exposure of posisitive forces hidden behind every phenomenon. Every object, every historical event is constituted in a constellation of forces that function as its genetic elements. These powers themselves are born earlier, usually separately, in abstraction. If they are to take shape, to be realised, they must become related.At the same time, their prior abstractness becomes visible only from the perspective of their final form.A similar view on history one can find in Marx’s writings: the historiography always consists of searching for genetic elements, powers that constitute a given phenomenon.Foucault writes the history of realisation differently. The realisation for him is a principle of transformation.Qe becoming of a concrete is also the becoming of biopolitics.

Opis:: Among the many paths in life on which God places man there is undoubtedly the one that leads to the heights of holiness. It is not always easy, but certainly beautiful. Delighted by this beauty of God’s plans, Brother Jerzy Lakomiak united his paths with the Master’s dogs. Reading and responding to God’s call, he responded with his life by taking up the path of the evangelical counsels: chastity poverty and obedience following the example of St. Francis of Assisi. His love for God, the Blessed Mother, holy poverty, quiet and humble service, and a life of prayer, first in his native country and then for half a century on Argentine soil, made it possible that today among his confreres and those who knew Brother George, he is spoken of as one who exemplarily fulfilled the mission the Risen Lord entrusted to him.

Opis:: Tematem artykułu jest omówienie zachowanych fragmentów dwóch badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w diecezji kieleckiej w latach 1930-1931, w kontekście wprowadzanej po I wojnie światowej odnowy życia religijnego na jej terenie. Podejmowane w tym zakresie działania po 1918 r. znalazły najpełniejszy wyraz w postanowieniach synodu diecezjalnego z 1927 r. Jednym z jego elementów było prowadzenie systematycznych obserwacji zmian społeczno-religijnych poprzez powołanie w kurii Komisji wiary i obyczajów, która miała czuwać nad realizacją odnowy synodalnej w diecezji. Między innymi na podstawie prowadzonych badań ankietowych miała ona wskazywać potrzeby w zakresie duszpasterstwa na poziomie całej diecezji i poszczególnych parafii. Jednak wraz z rozwojem ogólnopolskiego programu odnowy życia religijnego opartego na ponaddiecezjalnej organizacji, jaką była Akcja Katolicka, wcześniejszy lokalny projekt nie był kontynuowany, a omawiane dwa badania ankietowe stanowią jego najobszerniejsze, choć nie w pełni zachowane świadectwa.
This article reviews the preserved fragments of two questionnaire surveys conducted in the Kielce Diocese over the years 1930-1931 in the context of the religious renewal in that area after World War I. The measures implemented in this respect after 1918 were expressed to the fullest extend in the decisions of the diocesan synod of 1927. One of its elements was to systematically observe the socio-religious changes by appointing a Commission of Faith and Customs in the curia. It was supposed to supervise the implementation of the synodal renewal plan in the Diocese. On the basis of surveys and other instruments, it was to determine the needs in respect of pastoral care at the level of the entire Diocese and individual parishes. Upon the establishment of the Catholic Action, which had been developed as a supra-diocesan organisation aimed at conducting a nationwide programme of religious renewal, the earlier local project was not continued. Consequently, the two questionnaire surveys discussed herein, much as they had not been fully preserved, constitute the most extensive testimonies thereof.

Opis:: The author of the article examines some of the issues concerning the ethical and pastoral challenges arising from demographic changes. In face of these changes the Church adopts, through the Pontifical Council for the Family, a clear and considered stance. Demographic problems have at their roots the whole issue of ethics, and as such have a serious impact on the wide array of social and political matters, like education, job markets, economy and culture. Falling birth rates are of concern in almost every European country and society. The biggest threat is that of fertility rates falling below replacement level. Hence the urgency of putting in place effective pro-family policies. Since demographics is inextricably linked to ethics, it is only natural that the Church perceives it as her field of pastoral engagement. The Church not only postulates the need for a dialogue encompassing all strata of society, but she brings to that dialogue very concrete proposals concerning pro-family activities, like fostering development of the families, advocating the right of parents to bring up their children, or aiding families in material needs. Joint efforts of the Church and other competent institutions, especially those which are in a position to exercise effective influence on cultural changes and economic situation of families, may bring about defeat of today’s threats.

Opis:: W artykule została wielopłaszczyznowo omówiona i porównana treść ogłoszeń duszpasterskich z okresu II wojny światowej, pochodzących z parafii Biłka Szlachecka oraz Dołżanka w archidiecezji lwowskiej obrządku łacińskiego. Celem łatwiejszego zrozumienia poruszanych treści, zdecydowano się na szersze omówienie lokalizacji obu miejscowości oraz ich uwarunkowań historycznych i religijnych. W tekście wykorzystano szereg cytatów, które dodatkowo uzupełniają i wyjaśniają podejmowane problemy. Temat ogłoszeń, w odniesieniu do obu wymienionych w tytule parafii, nie był, jak dotąd, poruszany w badaniach naukowych.
In this article pastoral news from the period of WWII were described and compared in multiple aspects. The news came from the parish of Biłka Szlachecka and Dołżanka in Lviv archdioceses. In order to more easily understand this topic, the localization, historical and religious setting of these towns were presented. A great many citations which shed additional light on the issue were also used. The problem of pastoral news in the two towns has never before been taken up in research.

Opis:: Adhortacja Amoris laetitia daje zdecydowany impuls do działań na rzecz pełniejszego włączenia w życie Kościoła wiernych, którzy znajdują się w sytuacjach nieregularnych. Ma się to dokonać dzięki procesowi towarzyszenia i rozeznania, który po uwzględnieniu złożoności i różnorodności sytuacji, okoliczności łagodzących, i innych czynników wskaże konkretne możliwości ich szerszej integracji. Powinna się ona wyrażać w podejmowaniu różnych posług i form aktywności w dziedzinie liturgicznej, duszpasterskiej, edukacyjnej, instytucjonalnej i dobroczynnej. Przykładem wdrażania nauczania Franciszka w tej materii jest dokument Pastoral guidelines for implementing Amoris laetitia wypracowany przez archidiecezję w Filadelfii. Łączy on w swoich rozwiązaniach wskazania zawarte w Amoris laetitia z wcześniejszym nauczaniem Kościoła, zwłaszcza tym wyrażonym w Familiaris consortio. Normy tego dokumentu z jednej strony promują włączanie wiernych w sytuacjach nieregularnych w życie Kościoła, a z drugiej określają zadania, które nie mogą przez nich być podjęte. Jest to uzasadnione koniecznością kierowania się nie tylko miłością i miłosierdziem, ale też prawdą o nierozerwalności małżeństwa.
Exhortation Amoris laetitia gives strong impuls to integrate into Church life the faithful who are in irregular situations. It is to make through a process of accompaniment and discernment which, after taking account of the complexity and the diversity of situations, mitigating circumstances and other factors, will identify the specific opportunities for their widen integration. They might hold different ecclesial services and be involved in many forms of activity in the liturgical, pastoral, educational, institutional and charitable framework. An example of implementation of Francis’ teaching in this matter is a document entitled Pastoral guidelines for implementing Amoris laetitia issued by the Archdiocese in Philadelphia. It combines in practical solutions the indications of Amoris laetitia with the earlier teachings of the Church especially that expressed in Familiaris consortio. Regulations of Pastoral guidelines promote on the one hand the more full participation of the faithful in irregular situations in the life and mission of the Church, and on the other hand indicate activities they shouldn’t carry out. It is justified by the need to follow not only love and mercy, but also the truth of indissolubility of marriage.

Opis:: Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie miejsca i roli sakramentu bierzmowania w pastoralnej misji Kościoła. W części teoretycznej prezentuje aktualne nauczanie Kościoła dotyczące bierzmowania w aspekcie: dogmatycznym, prawnym, katechetycznym i wyznaniowym. Analizuje także znaczenie i sposób przygotowania do przyjęcia bierzmowania. W części badawczej prezentuje wyniki badań własnych przeprowadzonych wśród uczniów gimnazjów. Na ich podstawie opisuje dojrzałość religijną współczesnych kandydatów do bierzmowania oraz formułuje wskazania duszpasterskie związane zarówno z przygotowaniem, jak i z udzielaniem tegoż sakramentu.
The article deals with the place and role of the sacrament of Confirmation in the pastoral mission of the Church. In the theoretical part it presents current teaching of the Church concerning the Confirmation in dogmatic, legal, catechetical and confessional aspects. It also analyzes the meaning of Confirmation as well as the way of preparing to it. In the research part it presents the results of research conducted among middle school students. On the basis of this research it describes religious maturity of today's candidates for Confirmation and formulates pastoral guidelines related to both preparation and administering this sacrament.

Opis:: Pope Francis’ teaching on preparation for marriage and family life in his Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia reflects his concern for providing engaged couples with a holistic human and Christian formation that will preparing them to responsibly realize their vocation to marriage and family. This task is particularly important because families today are broken and the value of marriage is under attack. The environment in which engaged couples are immersed is very important in the process of preparing them for marriage and family life, since it is the place where the personality of the new family members is formed. For this reason, Pope Francis offers new pastoral initiatives that aim at increasing the effectiveness of marriage preparation by engaging missionary families and the families of the engaged couples as well as “a variety of pastoral resources.” In his exhortation, Pope Francis shows the importance of freedom of choice, fidelity, and the indissolubility of the marriage bond. He also points out the importance of having the proper approach to the marriage celebration and wedding reception. Pope Francis encourages engaged couples to opt for modest and simple celebrations “in which love takes precedence over everything else” (AL 212) because love has the power to unite spouses if it is “strengthened and sanctified by grace [of the sacrament]”.

Opis:: Upadek komunizmu otwarł przed Kościołem w Polsce nowe możliwości pracy duszpasterskiej, wśród których trzeba wymienić także przywrócenie nauczania religii w szkole. Jak się jednak okazuje sytuacja ta - ze względu na dynamiczne zmiany cywilizacyjne - staje się dla Kościoła dużym wyzwaniem. Wychowanie religijne w szkole znajduje coraz mniej wsparcia w dotkniętej kryzysem rodzinie. Kryzys ten - wyciskający piętno na wychowaniu religijnym dziecka - przejawia się głównie w zaniku przekazu wiary w rodzinie, rzutujących na wychowanie trudnościach ekonomicznych rodzin oraz indywidualizacji życia. Aby sprostać tym nowym wyzwaniom i aby wychowywanie religijne stało się owocne, Kościół musi podjąć starania o przywrócenie należytej rangi triadzie pedagogicznej wyrażającej się we współpracy Kościoła, szkoły i rodziny.
The fall of communism has opened new possibilities of pastoral work for the Church; among them the restoration of teaching religion at school should be mentioned. However, it turns out that this situation - because of dynamic civilization changes - is becoming a great challenge for the Church. Religious education at school meets ever less support in the family affected by a crisis. The crisis - leaving its imprint on a child’s religious education - is manifested mainly in a degeneration of the transfer of faith in the family, that is projected on education, as well as in economic problems of families, and in individualization of life. To meet these difficulties and to make religious education fruitful the Church has to make efforts to restore the proper rank to the pedagogical triad that is expressed in a cooperation of the Church, the school and the family.

Opis:: The Second Vatican Council valued the families, the lay people, and their apostolate by emphasizing that the lay faithful are the part of the Church that is the community of the People of God, and they participate in the triple mission of Christ, the grace of the common priesthood is granted to them and they have their own proper vocation. On the canvas of this teaching, John Paul II established the Pontifical Council for the Laity and the Pontifical Council for the Family, which Pope Francis transformed into the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family and Life. This department directs the contemporary the apostolate of the laity and families in the Church.
Sobór Watykański II dowartościował rodziny i świeckich i ich apostolstwo, podkreślając, że świeccy stanowią Kościół – wspólnotę Ludu Bożego, uczestniczą w potrójnej misji Chrystusa, są obdarowani łaską kapłaństwa wspólnego i mają właściwe sobie powołanie. Na kanwie tego nauczania Jan Paweł II ustanowił Papieską Radę Świeckich i Papieską Radę ds. Rodziny, które papież Franciszek przekształcił w Dykasterię ds. Laikatu, Rodziny i Życia. Dykasteria ta kieruje współczesnym apostolstwem świeckich i rodzin w całym Kościele.
