Celem artykułu jest zasygnalizowanie problemu obszarów rolnych w miastach na przykładzie Krakowa. Problematyka ta jest bardzo aktualna ze względu na zmianę w przepisach prawnych dotyczących odrolnień gruntów w miastach. Autor w zarysie przedstawił aktualny stan rolnictwa miejskiego i dynamikę zmian powierzchni użytkowanych rolniczo w latach 1995-2008 na terenie Krakowa oraz potencjalną rolę obszarów rolnych w kształtowaniu miejskiego systemu przyrodniczego.
The goal of this paper is to mention the problem of agricultural areas in cities on the example of Kraków. The issue is highly topical due to the amendment of legal regulations concerning changing the status of farm lands (from agricultural to residential). The author has outlined the current condition of urban farming and the dynamics of changes in surfaces areas of arable land in Kraków in 1995-2008, as well as the potential role of agricultural areas in shaping the urban natural system.

The major goals of the Urban Natural System identification are: preservation and conservation of the most valuable areas important for environmental performance, and ensuring proper living condition for city dwellers. In spite of key ecological functions the Urban Natural System can play also other ones like recreational, aesthetic and residential. The intensification of urbanization processes happens at the expense of Urban Natural System areas and causes deterioration of the quality of the city environment. The case study of Warsaw presented in this paper reveals the possibility of the Urban Natural System identification as the result of precisely defined environmental performance that can be used afterwords in the processes of urban development.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono analizę systemu przyrodniczego gminy Nasielsk i sformułowano wskazania do jej kształtowania. Badania terenowe obejmowały przede wszystkim rozpoznanie zbiorowisk roślinnych, które stanowią najważniejszy element w systemie przyrodniczym gminy. Wyróżniono także obszary chronione oraz pomniki przyrody. Przedstawiono klasyfikację korytarzy ekologicznych, ze względu na ich rangę. Na terenie gminy Nasielsk znajdują się korytarze ekologiczne pierwszego i drugiego rzędu (doliny rzeczne), a także ostoje przyrodnicze reprezentowane przez kompleksy leśne oraz roślinność wodną i przywodną. Struktura gminy Nasielsk ma charakter nieciągły. Sformułowano wskazania do jej kształtowania a przede wszystkim do umocnienia systemu przyrodniczego.
It was presented natural system of Nasielsk commune and direction for shaping. Field research was focused on plant communities, which are the most important elements in natural system of commune. It was also marked protected areas and natural monuments. Existing ecological corridors (river valleys) were distinguished in two ranges : first range - the most important in commune and second range. Refuges are represented by forests, water and rushes plant communities. Natural system of Nasielsk commune need improvement, so it was formulated directions for landscape shaping.

During its entire utilisation history - lasting several hundred years - the area of the Tatra Mountains underwent multidirectional anthropopressure. As the result, all components of their natural environment have been transformed, including relief and water conditions.The analysis of the literature on this topie conducted by the author, as well as his observations performed in the area, confirmed the assumption that transformations caused by human actions developed with varying intensity and admitted various forms depending on the area of action and the magnitude of means applied. The transformation scalę presented here estimates the influence of anthropopressure on the stability of the catchment area systems of larger Tatra streams, partial catchment areas of their confluents and selected slope surfaces. In systems, where the limits of persistence were not exceeded, stability was ensured by natural processes compensating for the conseąuences of anthropopressure. In systems where stability was disturbed, planned preventive measures are necessary.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest podjęcie naukowej refleksji nad specyfiką małżeństwa i rodziny jako systemu naturalnego na przełomie XX i XXI wieku. System rodzinny można rozpatrywać w różnych aspektach. Stąd też mówimy o ujęciu socjobiologicznym, psychodynamicznym, uczenia się, ujęcia kontekstualnego oraz o podejściu systemowym. Rodzina, jako naturalny system, posiada swoje właściwości, które jednocześnie stanowią fundamentalne kryteria do jego analizy i opisu. Wśród tych właściwości można wymienić, m.in. takie jak: zasada równowagi sił, tożsamość, zdolność do adaptacji, kształtowanie ról, hierarchiczna organizacja, własności sterownicze, właściwości sztywne, spoistość systemu, organizacja, mechanizacja, centralizacja, dominacja, ekwifinalność, dynamiczność, zmienność, ewoluowanie. Ostatnia część artykułu poświęcona jest istotnym elementom związanych z analizą przemian systemu rodzinnego na przełomie XX i XXI wieku.
The article is to take a scientific reflection on the specific nature of marriage and the family as a natural system at the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The family can be seen in various aspects. Hence, we are talking about terms sociobiological naturalism, psychodynamic, learning, contextual approach and the approach system. The family as a natural system has its own characteristics, which together are the fundamental criteria for its analysis and description. These properties may include such as the principle of balance of power, identity, adaptability, shaping roles, hierarchical organization, ownership control, the properties of a rigid, cohesive system, organization, mechanization, centralization, domination, dynamism, variability, evolution. The last part of the article is devoted to the important elements related to the analysis of the transformation of the family system at the turn of the century.

Ze względu na dużą dynamikę rozwoju, w historii powojennej w latach 1950 - 2010 dla Górnego Śląska opracowano kilkadziesiąt planów, studiów i strategii dla całego województwa bądź samej Aglomeracji Górnośląskiej. Koncepcje te opierały się na różnych założeniach, opracowywane były również w różnym stopniu dokładności oraz prezentujących różnorakie podejście do tematu systemu obszarów chronionych. Plany te poruszały wiele problemów, które nadal są aktualne, a ówczesne koncepcje wyprzedzał swoją epokę.
Due to the great dynamics of development, several dozen plans, studies and strategies for the entire voivodship or Upper Silesian Agglomeration were prepared for Upper Silesia in the years 1950-2010. These concepts were based on different assumptions, were also elaborated to varying degrees of accuracy, and presented a different approach to the theme of the protected area system. These plans were covering a number of problems that are still valid, and these concepts were ahead of their time.

Celem opracowania jest charakterystyka potencjału systemu przyrodniczego Wrocławskiego Obszaru Funkcjonalnego oraz sformułowanie wytycznych do jego kształtowania. W  artykule wyjaśniono pojęcie systemu przyrodniczego, zwrócono uwagę na dyskusję dotyczącą terminologii oraz przedstawiono zasady jego formowania. Przedstawiono problemy związane z zapewnieniem jego ciągłości przestrzennej oraz spójności funkcjonalnej. Określono potencjał przyrodniczy gmin Wrocławskiego Obszaru Funkcjonalnego oraz wskazano możliwe kierunki kształtowania systemu ekologicznego. Wyniki analiz danych statystycznych przedstawiono na kartogramach. We wnioskach zaproponowano wytyczne do kształtowania systemu przyrodniczego miejskiego obszaru funkcjonalnego.
The aim of this research is summary of potential the natural environment system of the Wroclaw Functional Area and identify guidelines to shape natural environment system. In this paper explained the term of the natural environment system and presented the rules of molding the ecological system. The problems of the spatial continuity and functional cohesion of the natural environment system have been presented. The article specifies the natural potential of the communes of the Wroclaw Functional Area and indicates possible directions of shaping the green infrastructure on this area. The results of analyzes have been presented on the cartograms. Conclusions contain the guidelines for shaping the natural environment system of the functional urban area.

Collection of NCS colours' nuances Has been constantly enlarged and precised. It has been equipped with tools for strict notation and matching. It has been adopted to electronic colour communication. Special aids serving colour education on various levels were developped. Research of perceiving colour, conditioned with lighting, and related to observation distance has been carried on. The specialized collections of colours were composed to ease applications to varius materials and situations. The samples' quality has been raised and range of their reach has been evidenced. NCS is an international language of colour communication.

Opis:
The model for the free nonlinear oscillation of the slider-crank mechanism is very complicated and difficult to solve accurately using most of the existing approximate analytical schemes. However, the continuous piecewise linearization method (CPLM), which is a recently proposed semi-analytical algorithm, is capable of producing simple and accurate periodic solutions for conservative systems irrespective of the complexity of the nonlinear restoring force. Hence, this study applied the CPLM to solve and analyze the complex nonlinear oscillations arising in the slider-crank mechanism. The CPLM results were verified using numerical solutions and it was found that the CPLM solution was accurate to less than 1.0% for angular amplitudes up to 165°. Analysis of the frequency-amplitude response revealed the existence of asymptotic behaviour as the ratio of the crank radius to the connecting rod length approaches zero or unity. Hence, oscillation models for the observed asymptotic responses were derived and found to be significantly simpler compared to the original oscillation model. Finally, analysis of the large-amplitude oscillations of the slider-crank mechanism revealed the presence of strong anharmonic response.

Opis:
In this paper, application of the computational fluid dynamics has been presented in the process of design natural ventilation system for the fishing vessel. There are two main types of ventilation systems: natural ventilation which is used on small fishing vessels and sport craft boatsand, and forced ventilation. This type of ventilation is a common solution on all types of merchant ships. In this paper, solution of the velocity filed in the cargo hold space of the fishing vessel had been presented. Natural ventilation system has been validated using the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). All calculations had been performed in the free CFD software called OpenFOAM.

It is proved in the study that united territorial communities (UTC) can be considered as a complex natural and economic nonlinear, dynamic system capable for self-governance. It is proved that quantitative measurement of equilibrium is economic efficiency – Pareto efficiency, which requires optimal resources allocation among market players for production, taking into account their scarcity and limited products with their unlimited consumption. It is found out that management of internal opportunities and external impact interconnections creates the background for UTCs sustainable development. The main infrastructural components of UTCs sustainable development are economic, environmental and social ones. It is shown that the economic component of sustainable development is supported by the current mechanism of UTCs financial resources formation, which ensures stability and self-sufficiency of territorial communities. From the ecological component standpoint, sustainable development should ensure the integrity of biological and physical natural systems, their viability, which affects global stability of the entire biosphere. The social component is focused on human development, preserving social and cultural systems stability, reducing the number of conflicts. It is proved that current climate change is a paramount factor of the external environment, which seriously affects the parameters of UTCs` natural and economic system functioning. General analysis of the vulnerability of Ukraine’s natural and economic systems (NES) to climate change has been conducted. It is confirmed that climate change affects different sectors of national economy, but this it is not unequivocal. The expediency of finding new innovative management and business technologies is substantiated. It is shown that startups carrying-out within and in the interests of UTCs has several positive characteristics in social, economic and environmental context.

The article places the environmental history on the map of historical research. It contains a problematised definition of environmental history, outlines its key determinants, describes its research issues and methodology, and analyses the question of the historical sources that are used by environmental historians. The article also reflects on the relationship between environmental history research and theoretical reflection, primarily from the field of post-human studies and postcolonial studies. It also considers the interdisciplinary potential of these in relation to the humanities as well as natural and earth sciences. The object of our research is to create a report/study on the existing and planned elements of the system of protection of the natural environment of Wroclaw, with special emphasis on ecological corridors. The starting point for further work is the assumption that the concept of ecological corridors provides the basis for the formation of an appropriate system of environmental protection. This article highlights the importance of Wroclaw’s corridors for preserving the ecological connectivity of the city. It provides a definition and taxonomy of ecological corridors and points to their unclear legal status in Poland, which stems from the lack of a separate and coherent system for their adequate protection. Particular attention is focused on the issues of law and environmental policy, spheres in which the rules and regulations governing ecological connectivity which are valid in all EU member states are of particular importance.
Przedmiotem badań jest stworzenie opracowania dotyczącego istniejących oraz planowanych elementów systemu ochrony środowiska przyrodniczego Wrocławia, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem korytarzy ekologicznych. Punktem wyjścia dla dalszych prac stało się założenie, że koncepcja korytarzy ekologicznych stanowi podstawę dla kształtowania się właściwego systemu ochrony środowiska przyrodniczego. W artykule podkreślono znaczenie wrocławskich korytarzy dla potrzeb zachowania łączności ekologicznej miasta. Zaprezentowano definicję i systematykę korytarzy ekologicznych oraz wskazano na ich niejasny status prawny w Polsce, który wynika z braku odrębnego i spójnego w treści systemu ich właściwej ochrony. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono zagadnieniom prawa i polityki ekologicznej, przy czym za szczególnie ważne uznano te zapisy które dotyczą łączności ekologicznej i które obowiązują we wszystkich krajach członkowskich UE.

Opis:
The paper presents the research results of field measurements campaign of natural ventilation performance and effectiveness in a residential building. The building is located in the microclimate whose parameters differ significantly in relation to a representative weather station. The measurement system recorded climate parameters and the physical variables characterizing the air flow in the rooms within 14 days of the winter season. The measurement results showed that in spite of proper design and construction of the ventilation system, unfavorable microclimatic conditions that differed from the predicted ones caused significant reduction in the efficiency of the ventilation system. Also, during some time periods, external climate conditions caused an opposite air flow direction in the vent inlets and outlets, leading to a significant deterioration of air quality and thermal comfort measured by CO2 concentration and PMV index in a residential area.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań działania wentylacji naturalnej w budynku mieszkalnym, wielorodzinnym. Badanie przeprowadzone było w sezonie zimowym i obejmowało pomiar parametrów klimatu zewnętrznego i wielkości fizycznych charakteryzujących przepływ powietrza w pomieszczeniach. Wyniki pomiarów wykazały, że pomimo prawidłowego projektowania i budowy systemu wentylacji naturalnej w budynkach, niekorzystne warunki mikroklimatyczne, które różnią się od tych przewidywanych, spowodowały znaczne obniżenie wydajności systemu wentylacyjnego. Ponadto w artykule przedstawiono wpływ warunków klimatu zewnętrznego, na jakość powietrza w mieszkaniu. W badaniach wyznaczono komfort cieplny za pomocą indeksu PMV.
