Opis:
This article considers the issue of annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea peninsular territory by the RussianFederation and further deployment of the secessionist movement in the southeastern regions of Ukraine thatsubsequently developed into a military conflict in the east of Ukraine. The research analysed the directionsand character of the cooperation between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Alliance military units. Thelevel of practical interaction within the framework of existing NATO-Ukraine bilateral partnership programs, including military trainings, was also identified. The chronology of transformation of organizational formsof Ukrainian army’s presence in the east of Ukraine from the Anti-Terrorist Operation to the Joint ForcesOperation and the role of NATO in this process were also considered. The elements of the North AtlanticAlliance’s influence on the reform of the Ukrainian army were identified directly following the requirementsand standards defined by the Organization. The role of NATO’s Liaison Office, located in Kyiv, Ukraine, andthe Center for Security and Information Processing was outlined. Particular attention was paid to the issueof counteracting cybercrimes and protecting the state’s information systems from external influences. Inparticular, reference was made to the protection of the state’s critical infrastructure elements (nuclear powerplants, strategic state-owned enterprises, etc.), including electronic registers of citizens e-lists and the state’sbanking system databases. The activities of the NATO Cybercrime Operations Centers and the establishmentof similar institutions in Ukraine were also researched. The maritime component of cooperation betweenUkraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was analysed, taking into account the aggravation ofthe situation in Azov-Black Sea region during 2018, associated with the passage of Ukrainian warships of theAzov Fleet of the Naval Forces of Ukraine through the Kerch Strait which is under the control of the occupyingtroops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. As a result, so-called border conflicts were causedleading to the capture of Ukrainian warships and sailors by Russians in November 2018.

Opis:
Since joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, Poland has been obliged to implement the common security policy assumptions, including providing for the functioning of the allied forces on the territory of its state. Since 2002, in Poland the host nation support (HNS) system has been developed. For over eleven years, in the Polish Armed Forces and in public administration entities, formal and legal conditions were created, and structures were developed and improved that allow for meeting these obligations. Poland has succeeded in preparing the HNS system in a way that guarantees its effective functioning to the benefit of the allied forces. Joint activities consist in the implementation of broadly understood assumptions and objectives in the area of security and balance. The obligations are of bilateral nature, and are set out in agreements that have been signed.

Opis:
This paper presents a rocket flight safety analysis using methods from the internationally recognized standard RCC 321-20 with an emphasis on a suborbital launch from the Polish coast. Currently, several entities are launching (or planning to launch) suborbital rockets and land them in the Baltic sea – and such flights are expected to be performed using more and more capable rockets with increasing launch frequency. While the present approach in Poland is to close a predefined air space, monitor or close the maritime zone to any traffic and ensure that the impact point dispersion of all rocket elements will fit within that restricted area, established and proven methods often take advantage of advanced calculations of flight risk to the public, aircraft and vessels. This paper demonstrates this approach and compares relative rocket or missile flight safety from Poland to other locations frequently used for such exercises. The results of this work may also be beneficial when planning safety measures for military exercises involving missiles.

Opis:
The tests reported in this paper were carried out to evaluate the exposure of soldiers to noise at operator and control positions during military field exercises. The tests were conducted during firing from a T-72 tank, a BWP-1 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, antitank guided missiles, a ZU-23-2K anti-aircraft gun, and a 2S1 GOZDZIK howitzer. The evaluation of noise exposure showed that the limit values of sound pressure level, referred to by both Polish occupational noise protection standards and the Pfander and Dancer hearing damage risk criteria developed for military applications, were repeatedly exceeded at the tested positions. Despite of the use of tank crew headgear, the exposure limit values of sound pressure level were exceeded for the crew members of the T-72 tank, the BWP-1 infantry fighting vehicle, and the 2S1 GOZDZIK howitzer. The results show that exposure of soldiers to noise during military field exercises is a potentially high hearing risk factor.

Opis:
In the twenty-first century, information flows have become necessary to ensure the efficient and effective management of military organisations, which is required for support in the form of modern information tools. The military organisation requires rapid data collection, processing and analysis to manage them, not only within the organisational structure, but also to derive information from subordinates. The above mentioned factors have become an indispensable part of the functioning of the Computer Assisted Exercises (CAX’s). This article covers the role of full information exercises and which systems and technology are the most commonly used exercises conducted at the War Game & Simulation Center (WG&SC'). Some of the research has been characterised with modern tools in the form of a simulation system and other applications that support management and a verification exercise of their usefulness in training commands and staffs using the example of the exercise organised by the Inspectorate for Polish Armed Forces Support, under the codename Silesia-14.
