Opis:
Recent research on the nanotechnological processes of molecular products and object synthesis as well as research on the nanosystems of informatics, stimulates the development of technical systems of informatics. Until now, they have been used mainly for computational tasks when, similarly to biological organisms, they allowed the development of self-replicating products and complete objects. One can focus here on the model of a circulation of materials, information and energy in a biological cell, and a model of the self-replication phenomenon. In the model of materials, information and energy circulation, we can distinguish a multi-phase process of creating products which are later used for object construction. The first phase is a translation process based on information from mRNA, while the next one consists of post-translational modifications based on environmental interactions. The self-replication model presented in this paper refers to a self-replication of a material object together with its internal software, which had determined the object creation. The presented models of materials, information and energy circulation in a biological cell together with models of the self-replication phenomenon can be a basis for the design and development of technical systems of informatics capable of creating self-replicating products and objects.

Opracowanie jest próbą oceny kształcenia informatycznego w szkołach średnich. Po upływie trzydziestu lat od momentu wprowadzenia jej do szkół należałoby się spodziewać bardzo dobrego przygotowania abiturientów szkół średnich w tym zakresie. Badania pilotażowe gotowości studen-tów do podjęcia studiów przeprowadzone wśród studentów pierwszego roku rzucają nowe światło na poziom kształcenia informatycznego na IV etapie kształcenia.
The study is an attempt to rate education of informatics education in schools. After thirty years after its introduction into schools should expect a very good preparation of graduates of high schools in this area. Readiness pilot researches of students to study were conducted among first-year students. It's shed new light on the level of education and information for the fourth stage of education.

This article is an overview of the philosophy of informatics with a special regard to some Polish philosophers. It juxtaposes the informationistic worldview with the long-prevailing mechanical conceptualization of nature before introducing the metaphysical perspective of the information revolution in sciences. The article shows also how ontic pancomputationalism – regarded as an update to structural realism – could enrich the philosophical research in some classical topics. The paper concludes with a discussion of the philosophy of Jan Salamucha, a philosopher from the Cracow Circle (1903–1944) whose ideas could be inspiring for today’s philosophy of informatics in Cracow.

This paper examines the use of computing in hospitals and compares this with the use of computing in general practice. In the UK, virtually all GPs, i.e. doctors in primary care, use computers and computer-based records in their care of patients, whereas most doctors in hospitals do not [3, 25]. There are many reasons given for the lower use of computers in hospitals. It has been suggested that hospital medical activities are more complex than those in general practice and that there has been too little investment in hospital information and communication technology (ICT), two truisms. This paper examines and compares the different and contrasting theories that attempt to explain this phenomenum. The paper has relevance to (1) researchers wishing to migrate successful research from a 'research laboratory environment' such as in a medical school to a real-world setting in a hospital or a hospital clinic, (2) medical informatics researchers interested in investigating the problems of ICT implementations in hospitals, and (3) medical informatics practitioners involved in real-world hospital ICT developments.

PHI is the intersection of information technology and health care. It deals with the resources, devices, and methods required to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval, and use of information in public health. Public health practitioners now do much of their surveillance, support, reporting, data analysis, and data collection via the internet or on computer systems. This article reports and reviews on the issues involved in PHI specially focus on priorities, challenges, and opportunities with their practical applications.

The main goal of this paper was to indicate the possible use of a specific model of e-learning for computer science teachers in Serbia. Taking this aim into account, the authors accurately indicated the subject of the proposed research: development of a model system for the implementation of e-learning for the level of higher education in Serbia for teachers, with a special emphasis on informatics education. This e-learning model indicates equal participation of major areas of information technology and pedagogy and teaching methodology, pedagogy, ICT and media. The proposed research subject is of high importance in the development of the education system in Serbia and as such is adapted to the needs of a knowledge society and to realize the scientific contribution to the subject area. This work represents a good starting point for further work and continuing research presented, referring to the concrete results of research by the author.

A new approach to security issues associated with the use of teleinformatics systems in the decision-making process has been presented. Artykuł podejmuje próbę zwrócenia uwagi na zagadnienia związane z nauczaniem logiki w ramach przedmiotu informatyka. Jeszcze początkiem lat 80. XX w. była ona obecna w programach nauczania. W świetle zapowiadanych przez Ministerstwo Edukacji Narodowej reform związanych z kształceniem informatycznym zagadnienia logiki nabierają szczególnego znaczenia. Nauczanie programowania sprofilowanego na np. programowanie robotów, względnie innych platform programowalnych, bez znajomości algebry Boole‟a nie będzie dobrym rozwiązaniem z punktu widzenia kompetencji uczniów.
The article attempts to draw attention to issues related to the teaching of logic within the subject of computer science. Even in the early 1980s, it was present in the curriculum. In light of the IT reforms announced by MEN, logic issues are of particular importance. Teaching programming such as programming robots or other programming platforms without the knowledge of Boole algebra will not be a good solution for students competence.

Niniejszy tekst omawia główne czynniki, które mają wpływ na podejmowanie przez uczniów studiów na kierunku informatyka lub kierunkach pokrewnych. Następnie prezentowane są różne inicjatywy i działania w kraju, które mają na celu zachęcenie uczniów do podejmowania studiów informatycznych. Wśród nich można wyróżnić zarówno zmiany w podstawie programowej dla gimnazjum i szkół ponadgimnazjalnych, jak i formalne i nieformalne wykłady, kursy i warsztaty organizowane przez publiczne i prywatne uczelnie. Na końcu szczegółowo przedstawiony zostanie projekt Informatyka+2, adresowany do 15 000 uczniów z 1000 szkół ponadgimnazjalnych w pięciu województwach. Zaprezentowane zostaną także jego osiągnięcia po pierwszym roku realizacji.
In this paper we first identify the main factors which influence the students’ attitudes to study computer science related disciplines. Then various outreach initiatives and activities implemented in Poland are described and discussed. They range from changes in the national curriculum for middle and high schools to formal and informal lectures, courses, and workshops organized by public and private institutions of tertiary education. Project Informatics+, addressed to 15,000 students from five regions, is presented in details and its out-comes after the first year of running are reviewed shortly.

Leibniz may be considered as the first computer scientist. He made major contributions to engineering and information science. He invented the binary system, fundamental for virtually all modern computer architectures. He built a decimal based machine that executed all four arithmetical operations and outlined a binary computer. The concepts of lingua characteristica (formal language, programming language) and calculus ratiocinator (formal inference engine or computer program) are the base of the modern logic and information science. Leibniz was groping towards hardware and software concepts worked out much later by Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace. He anticipated the universal Turing machine.

Zgromadzona w różnorodnych bazach rozległa informacja geoprzestrzenna może być skutecznie wykorzystana w tworzeniu bezpieczeństwa do oceny ochronnych właściwości terenu lub będących źródłem potencjalnych zagrożeń. Informację tę na ogół charakteryzuje duży stopień aktualności i dostępność. Pewną trudność stanowi natomiast wybranie z tego zbioru wiadomości przydatnych, potrzebnych, a także przyspieszających proces oceny i czyniących go dokładniejszym. Prezentowany materiał wskazuje na możliwości pozyskania takich danych. Zaproponowana metodyka oceny oparta jest na tradycyjnym, właściwym dla nauk o Ziemi i środowisku, układzie analizy środowiska przyrodniczego i przestrzeni społecznej.
The wide geospace information gathered in varied bases can be efficiently utilized in security creation for terrain protection assessment and its attributes would be sources of potential threats. Such information in general characterize a great timeliness and easy accessibility. Certain difficulty gives selection from useful information collection; brings necessary information as well accelerating assessment process and making it more accurate. This text indicates for accessing such data possibility. The proposed assessment method is based on traditional, suitable to Earth and environment science, natural environment and social area structure.

Evaluation of the quality of 52 health-related websites, created with wiki technologyThe emergence of Web 2.0 philosophy of using Internet as a platform generated by all Internet users could have many implications for the future of healthcare. While application of the Web 2.0 tools, such as wikis, blogs, podcast and social networks to medicine and healthcare has definitely many benefits (e.g. to develop communication in healthcare and education), there is a growing concern about the quality of the sources of information built using these tools. According to general philosophy of the web 2.0 every Internet user could be the author of Internet’s content. Such a practice could be especially dangerous in case of sources of health related information, where the reliability and accuracy are especially crucial, because there is to much risk to harm the patient if inaccurate and misleading information was posted. The aim of the following study was to assess the quality of the sources of information, built with wiki technology (which is one of the web 2.0 applications).

Celem pracy jest przedstawienie wyzwań i pułapek związanych z miejscem oraz rolą informatyki w budownictwie. W pierwszej części pracy pokazano, jak trzy klasyczne sposoby rozumowania są wykorzystywane w realizacji podstawowych zadań inżynierskich. Następnie zaprezentowano proces transformacji informacji w budownictwie. Omówione wyniki badań ankietowych świadczą o olbrzymim potencjale zastosowań komputyki i myślenia komputacyjnego w budownictwie. W ostatniej części pracy przedstawiono wzorcową sekwencję przedmiotów informatycznych oraz ich powiązania z innymi blokami tematycznymi.
Civil Engineering Informatcs. The aim of the work is to present the challenges and pitfalls related to the place and role of computer science in construction. The first part of the work shows how three classic ways of reasoning are used in the implementation of basic engineering tasks. The process of transformation of information in construction was then presented. The results of the survey show the enormous potential of the use of computing and computational thinking in construction. The last part of the work presents a sample sequence of subjects related to computing and their links to other thematic blocks.

In the paper the music therapy development outline was briefly shown, paying special attention to the state of art and to the remarks of the contemporary researchers. The paper refers to telematics theoretical basis, especially transport telematics. European and international institutions responsible for standardization in the aforementioned areas have been characterized. Furthermore, author has presented standardization publications on telematics and transport telematics. The European Commission and many state administrations in the world attach a great importance to the use of telematics systems in transport. This requires designing and manufacturing devices using the advanced telecommunication and IT technologies. Some states have already implemented the telematics systems in transport, which control now such functions as: vehicles fleet management, urban traffic management and road toll collection. Implementation of the autonomic systems in the European states and lack of possibilities to cooperate with other systems caused the European Commission to conduct, since 2000, a wide spread activities on interoperability of the telematics systems and introduction of legal regulations (decrees, directives). Interoperability and building telematics systems architecture brings about the necessity to develop standards concerning, among the others, technical, safety solutions as well as data transmission protocols between the system elements and it environment solutions. At present in Poland, telematics applications are not used to a sufficient degree, to effectively manage the vehicles' fleet, or at least for urban traffic management, and when they are used, and then they are developed without taking into consideration appropriate interoperability. These applications in the future may provide quick and precise information and allow to safely managing the urban traffic. In the forthcoming years, they will be further improved by using Galileo system, whose localizing precision will be better than that of GPS. To meet these challenges, the international and European institutions have been characterized in this paper, which conduct standardizing activities in telematics and transport telematics. In addition, the fundamental, already developed standards for the aforementioned areas have been presented.

Artykuł ma na celu przybliżenie czytelnikom tematyki związanej z informatyką śledczą. Został podzielony na dwie części – prawną i informatyczną. W pierwszej omówiono związane z tematem definicje: b i e g ł e g o , s p e c j a l i s t y i b i e g ł ego i n s t y t u c j o n a l n e g o . Przedstawiono także kryteria, tryby i formy powoływania biegłego oraz prawne aspekty zasięgania jego opini, które zapisano w Kodeksie postępowania karnego. Następnie omówiono zasady prawidłowego formułowania celu badań oraz najczęstsze błędy przy stawianiu pytań biegłym. Są to elementy wpływające na wartość dowodową jego opinii. W części informatycznej określono pojęcie d owod u c y f rowego i wyjaśniono naczelne zasady informatyki śledczej wynikające ze specyfiki przedmiotu badań, czyli informacji cyfrowych. Nakreślono także praktyczne możliwości tego typu informatyki oraz szczegółowo omówiono zabezpieczanie informacji cyfrowych, w tym rodzaje nośników informacji oraz planowanie i sposób postępowania z informacjami podczas realizacji procesowych. Na końcu umieszczono minisłownik pojęć związanych z tematem artykułu.
The article divided into two parts – legal and informatics – is aimed at familiarizing the readers with the subject-matter related to investigative informatics. Starting from the presentation of definitions of an expert, specialist, institutional expert, criteria, procedure and form of calling of an expert, authors demonstrates certain legal aspects of consulting an expert contained in the Code of Penal Procedure. Further, the principles of appropriate formulation of the research aim and the most frequent errors in posing questions to experts – in other words, elements influencing the evidence value of an expert opinion, were discussed. The informatics part contains the definition of digital evidence and an outline of chief principles of investigative informatics deals with. The range of practical applications of investigative informatics was outlined. The security measures for digital information, including types of information carriers, planning, and proceeding with the information during realization of actions within legal proceedings were discussed in detail. A glossary of notions related to investigative informatics was placed at the end.

Funkcjonalną podstawą społeczeństwa informacyjnego staje się powszechne zastosowanie technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. Ich wykorzystanie stając się cywilizacyjną koniecz-nością wskazuje wiele zjawisk pozytywnych, ujawniając zarazem pewne zagrożenia. Problematy-kę zagrożeń można rozpatrywać dwukierunkowo, tzn. w ujęciu skutków społecznych wywołanych rozwojem technologii informacyjnych (zagrożeń przez informatykę) oraz w kategoriach zjawisk i procesów ograniczających ich dalszy rozwój (zagrożeń dla informatyki).
A functional base of information community is generally using the information and communication technology. Its application will be a civilization necessity pointing at some positive phenomena and revealing risks. A hazard issue of information technology develop-ment can be analyzed in two-way e.g. in terms of society effects (risks by) and its further development (risks for).

It is commonly suggested that (i) Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is essential for the delivery of quality healthcare [17], and (ii) the role of doctors is crucial in the implementation of ICT-based systems in hospitals and in general practice. Based on these two premises, this paper argues for a medical informatics course for medical students. The paper outlines the content of a one-semester elective in medical informatics that was presented over eight academic years. The course pre-dates the recommendations of the International Medical Informatics Association, IMIA [7]. Nevertheless, it is compatible with the recommendations of IMIA and also with the earlier findings of the EDUCTRA study [5]. The principles formulated in this paper are presented in order to help other educationalists (i) to obtain insights and (ii) thence to assist them to engineer medical informatics changes into their medical school environments. Each time that the course was presented, participants were asked for their evaluation of the course [9]. These views were favourable. It was thought that a follow-up survey of these same respondents - now practising doctors, some of whom took the course 10 years ago - might give further insights into the relevance and value of this course. The views of these practising doctors are presented within the paper.

Ilustruje logikę powiązań zasobów informacyjnych przedsiębiorstwa i przykładowe narzędzie praktycznego sankcjonowania trwałości tych relacji. Problematykę artykułu autor prezentuje na przykładzie kopalni węgla brunatnego. Wybrany podmiot ilustruje przypadek dobrej praktyki przygotowania firmy do wdrożenia wysoko zaawansowanej technologii informatycznej, wykorzystywanej do wspomagania zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem wysokiej specyfiki w warunkach turbulentnego otoczenia oraz konkurencji branżowej na rynku globalnym.
The article focuses on the use information resources of industrial informatics in managerial decision-making processes. The Author emphasizes particularly the multiple aspects of the quality of information generated in industrial informatics systems as well as information deposited in the systems. Technical values of such information are indicated, and its economic and managerial nature is displayed, which is demonstrated by specific examples. The subject matter is dedicated to practitioners of economics who fail to appreciate the economic aspect of technical information, particularly in the process of integrating the enterprise information systems achieved through integrated informatics technology, including the implementation of technologically advanced systems. The Author considers the stage of preparing an enterprise for the implementation of integrated informatics technology, equipped with the capacity to support managerial decision-making processes with industrial informatics resources, as critical to the possible uses of information characteristic for technical aspects of the enterprise production process. The logic of interrelations of the enterprise information resources is shown and a sample tool for practical sanctioning of the lasting nature of such relations is demonstrated. The subject matter of the article is presented in the example of a lignite mine. The entity selected illustrates the case of good practice in preparing an enterprise to the implementation of advanced informatics technology used to support highly specific enterprise management in turbulent environment and competitive global market.
