Opis:: In this paper, triple diffusive convective boundary layer flow of Casson nanofluid along a horizontal plate is investigated theoretically when nonlinear thermal radiation impact is considered. The suitable similarity transformations is utilized for the reduction of a set of basic governing nonlinear PDEs into nonlinear non-dimensional ODEs. By using differential Transform Method (DTM) with the help of symbolic software Mathematica, the reduced nonlinear non-dimensional ordinary differential equations are solved. Further, velocity, temperature, solutal and nanofluid concentration profiles are presented graphically and studied in details by using various physical parameters.

Opis:: An approximate analytical solution of a two dimensional problem for stationary Navier-Stokes, continuity and Fourier-Kirchhoff equations describing a free convective heat transfer from an isothermal cone is presented. The problem formulation is based on assumptions typical for natural convection: non-compressibility and the Boussinesq approximation. The solution is based on Frobenius expansions at the vicinities of two points: the initial point and the singular point of the boundary layer equation. Numerical matching of the expansions and Nusselt number evaluations are traced.

Opis:: In this study, steady laminar free convection boundary layer flow on a horizontal plate is investigated through analytical solutions. By transforming the governing non-dimensional boundary layer equations into an ordinary differential equation, the application of the Homotopy Analysis Method can be practical. So in this case, the analytical results for different Prandtl numbers and constant M values which portray the power index are achieved. The trend goes on large amounts of (M ��>> 1) and the results are compared with other efforts. Furthermore, the effects of different values of Prandtl number and M values on temperature and velocity profiles are verified.
W pracy zajęto się swobodnym, laminarnym opływem konwekcyjnej warstwy przyściennej na poziomej płycie w ujęciu czysto analitycznym. Bezwymiarowe równania warstwy przekształcono do postaci różniczkowej zwyczajnej, co pozwoliło na zastosowanie metody homotopii. Otrzymano analityczne wyniki określające wykładnik potęgowy opływu dla różnych wartości liczby Prandtla oraz stałej M. Badania rozszerzono na �>> 1, a rezultaty porównano z opracowaniami innych badaczy. Zweryfikowano również wpływ liczby Prandtla oraz stałej M na rozkład temperatury i prędkości opływu w rozważanej warstwie.

Opis:: The paper deals with the theoretical investigation of the phenomenon, which consists in generation - by wind - of the movement of water, the bodies of air and of water being separated by a horizontal, plane interface, which is identical with the free surface of water. A set of assumptions defining a physical model of the phenomenon, borrowed from Lock (1951), is introduced, as well as the mathematical description of this model. It reduces to a composite ordinary differential problem, containing two non-linear equations of the third order, which have to satisfy some boundary conditions. A novel method of solution of the differential problem just mentioned is presented in the paper. In the method use is made of exact formulae for coefficients of series representing the solution. The method seems to be competitive with the one given in the paper by Lock (1951).

Opis:: Sliding angle of repose and pickup velocity of chosen types of chipped wood. The report presents the results of the study of conditions sufficient for the motion or immobility of a layer of chipped wood on an inclined plane of sliding and the value of the air velocity in a horizontal duct for lifting or settling a layer of particles of bulk material. When performing the work, special laboratory units were used with adjustment of the angle of inclination of the sliding plane and air velocity in the pipeline. The results of experimental studies can be used to solve issues of transportation, bunkering and storage of some common species and types of chipped wood (sawdust, shavings, sanding dust).
Kąt zsypu i prędkość startu wybranych rodzajów rozdrobnionego drewna. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań warunków wystarczających do ruchu lub unieruchomienia warstwy rozdrobnionego drewna na nachylonej płaszczyźnie poślizgu oraz wartość prędkości powietrza w poziomym kanale do niezbędnej do startu warstwy cząstek materiału sypkiego. Podczas wykonywania prac zastosowano specjalne zestawy laboratoryjne z regulacją kąta nachylenia płaszczyzny poślizgu oraz prędkości powietrza w rurociągu. Wyniki badań eksperymentalnych można wykorzystać do rozwiązania problemów związanych z transportem i przechowywaniem niektórych gatunków i rodzajów rozdrobnionego drewna (trociny, wióry, pył szlifierski).
