    Opis:
    The global economy is undergoing faster and faster transformations. Certainly, logistics be-longs to one of the most rapidly changing areas, including supply chain management. A mo-dern and perspective supply chain is becoming more and more integrated, works under time pressure and carries out tasks on ever greater distances so that the delivery was made in ac-cordance with the expectations of the customer. To achieve the goal, it uses the latest tech-nology advances and the latest technologies. The knowledge of the latest and prospective concepts and solutions and their correct implementation to support activities within the sup-ply chain becomes one of the essential elements of gaining success in current and future market conditions. The ability to see contemporary needs as well as conditions for imple-mentation of logistic activities, building organizational culture focused on innovativeness, changes in how to approach and resolve problems essential for the functioning of supply cha-in creates the prospect of achieving a market success on a much broader basis than just using the experience of the know-how of the competition. The essential challenges facing not only supply chain but the whole logistics are: reconfiguration, integration and optimisation of whole logistics network, changes in the location of its components, transport planning in terms of tactical and operational levels, and inventory management. The reorganisation of the logistics and the supply chain is connected with a concept of "value chain", which was created in recent years, and which accounts for a strategic set of instruments to achieve competitive advantage. This article is devoted to all those problems, the abilities to see them in present and future challenges and use them to build modern supply chain, adequate for current needs and requirements.
    Gospodarka światowa przechodzi coraz szybsze przemiany. Z pewnością jednym z obszarów, w których dokonują się najbardziej dynamiczne zmiany jest logistyka oraz zarządzanie łańcu-chem dostaw. Nowoczesny i perspektywiczny łańcuch dostaw charakteryzuje się coraz więk-szym stopniem zintegrowania, funkcjonowania pod presją czasu i realizowania zadań na co-raz większe odległości, tak aby dostawa była wykonane zgodnie z oczekiwaniami klienta. Zna-jomość najnowszych, ale również potencjalnych rozwiązań w prawidłowej realizacji działań w ramach łańcucha dostaw staje się jednym z najbardziej istotnych elementów osiągania sukce-su w obecnych i przyszłych warunkach rynkowych. Możliwość przewidywania potrzeb, jak również warunki realizacji działań logistycznych, budowanie kultury organizacyjnej koncen-trującej się na innowacyjności oraz zmianach w sposobie podejścia i rozwiązywania kluczo-wych problemów dla funkcjonowania łańcucha dostaw stwarza perspektywę osiągnięcia suk-cesu rynkowego w znacznie szerszym aspekcie. Zasadnicze wyzwania nie stoją tylko przed samym łańcuchem dostaw, ale przed całą logistyką: rekonfiguracją, integracją i optymalizacją całej sieci logistycznej, zmianami w lokalizacji elementów systemu, planowaniem transportu pod względem taktycznym i operacyjnym oraz zarządzaniem zapasami. Reorganizacja logisty-ki i łańcucha dostaw są związane z pojęciem "łańcucha wartości", który powstał w ostatnich latach, i których stanowi strategiczny zestaw instrumentów do osiągnięcia przewagi konku-rencyjnej. Niniejszy artykuł jest poświęcony wszystkim tym problemom, możliwością dostrze-żenia ich w kontekście obecnych i przyszłych wyzwaniach oraz wykorzystania do budowy no-woczesnego łańcucha dostaw dostosowanego do aktualnych potrzeb i wymagań.

    Dynamiczny rozwój handlu elektronicznego jest motorem zmian w branży logistycznej zachodzących w ostatnich latach zarówno na świecie, jak i w Polsce. Wiele firm z rynku TSL i KEP oraz spoza branży logistycznej dostrzegło szansę na rozwój działalności poprzez rozszerzanie oferty o usługi logistyczne dedykowane dla e-commerce, w tym zwłaszcza dla segmentu B2C. Prowadzi to z jednej strony do zaostrzenia konkurencji, z drugiej zaś stymuluje wprowadzanie nowych innowacyjnych usług budujących doświadczenia klientów. W opracowaniu przeprowadzono analizę zmian na rynku logistycznym oraz przedstawiono cztery główne etapy rozwoju usług logistycznych dla e-handlu pod wpływem dwóch kluczowych czynników: ewoluujących potrzeb e-klientów oraz nastawienia przedsiębiorstw na innowacje.
    The dynamic growth of electronic commerce stimulates changes in the logistics market, both in the world and in Poland. Many logistics and CEP operators, as well as other companies, recognized the opportunity for expanding their businesses and offering logistics services dedicated for B2C e-commerce. These activities on one hand lead to stronger competition, but on the other hand stimulate the development of innovative, customer centric services. The study analyzes changes of the logistics market in Poland and presents four main stages of logistics services development. Two main criteria were used to distinguish these phases: evolving customers’ needs and pro-innovative attitude of logistics services providers.

    Purpose: The main purpose of the paper is to present the up to date status of Logistics 4.0 and to define its future challenges. Design/methodology/approach: The research methods used in the paper are literature studies and the case study method. Findings: Future challenges for Logistics 4.0 were determined. Originality/value: Results have theoretical, as well as practical implications for the management of Logistics 4.0.

    W artykule przedstawiono ewolucję systemów informatycznych w logistyce, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem systemów klasy WMS. Celem autora było zebranie informacji na temat rynku systemów WMS w Polsce, rozwoju tych systemów na rynku krajowym i rynku zagranicznym oraz wskazanie podstawowych trendów rozwoju tego typu narzędzi w przyszłości. Bazą do badań stały się publikacje z literatury krajowej i zagranicznej poświęcone tematyce systemów informatycznych do zarządzania magazynem. Autor podjął próbę postawienia diagnozy na temat aktualnego stanu informatyzacji polskich przedsiębiorstw w obszarze systemów WMS, a także potencjału rozwoju tego typu systemów. W artykule wskazano kilka podstawowych trendów rozwoju systemów klasy WMS w oparciu o aktualną sytuację gospodarczą i wymagania stawiane współczesnej logistyce. Autor stawia tezy, że rozwój systemów klasy WMS bezpośrednio związany jest ze zmianą wymagań stawianych logistyce oraz że patrząc na aktualne trendy w gospodarce światowej, należy spodziewać się dalszego rozwoju systemów klasy WMS w najbliższej przyszłości.
    The article presents the evolution of IT systems in logistics, with particular emphasis on WMS systems. The author's goal was to collect information about the WMS market in Poland, development of these systems on the domestic and foreign market, and indicate the basic trends in the development of such tools in the future. The basis for research became publications from domestic and foreign literature, with a subject of IT systems for warehouse management. Author has attempted to make a diagnosis about the current state of informatization of Polish enterprises in the field of WMS, as well as the potential development of such systems. The article indicates a few basic trends in the development of warehouse management systems, based on the current economic situation and the requirements set for modern logistics. The author puts forward the thesis that the development of WMS class systems is directly related to the change of requirements for logistics and that looking at current trends in the global economy; we should expect further development of WMS systems in the nearest future.

    The introduction of High Productivity Vehicles (HPVs) in Australia, through the Performance Based Standards (PBS) scheme, was predicated on new mechanical engineering standards that were mandated especially for these new vehicles. These standards improved vehicle stability, general performance and safety, especially safety. Two national surveys showed both massive safety and productivity benefits compared to conventional Australian road freight fleets. The first Australian PBS vehicles operated under permits from 1997 but the formalized Australian scheme was implemented in 2006. So arguably the introduction of HPVs under permit and now under a formal regulatory PBS framework has allowed some 20 years of research observations. However, only one major type of single rigid, high productivity truck, without a trailer, has been active in an urban environment as a pilot, over that time. This paper examines this special urban High Productivity Vehicle which could be exceptionally useful for the urban freight task in many countries should they ever adopt it.

    W aktualnych warunkach funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw relatywnie ważna jest elastyczność podsystemu zaopatrzenia rozumiana jako skłonność, podatność, gotowość i zdolność do dokonania wielowymiarowych zmian w jego zakresie w cyklu życia systemu logistycznego przedsiębiorstwa. Stało się to przesłanką wyboru celu niniejszego referatu, który sprowadza się do opisania zmian ewolucyjnych i rewolucyjnych jako siły sprawczej elastyczności podsystemu zaopatrzenia w ujęciu teoretycznym i empirycznym. Autorka w referacie wychodząc od charakterystyki zmiany poprzez koncepcyjne ramy zmian ewolucyjnych i rewolucyjnych zaprezentowała koncepcję elastyczności podsystemu zaopatrzenia oraz wyniki badań empirycznych. Przy realizacji wyżej wymienionego celu autorka posłużyła się przede wszystkim metodą opisu i analizy krytycznej materiału pozyskanego w wyniku studiów literatury przedmiotu i z przedsiębiorstw. Przyjęta metodologia badań umożliwiła zebranie i przeanalizowanie materiału dotyczącego wykorzystania zmian ewolucyjnych i rewolucyjnych do kreowania elastyczności podsystemu zaopatrzenia stanowiąc tym samym odpowiednią podstawę procesu wnioskowania.
    In actual functioning conditions of enterprises very significant becomes the flexibility of their provision subsystem understood as tendency, susceptibility, readiness and ability to accomplish the changes in various dimensions in the range of the provision subsystem during the life cycle of logistic system of enterprises. This became the main goal of this article which characterise the revolution and evolution changes in provision sub-system as the power of its flexibility in theoretiical and practical aspects. In the paper, the author started by presenting the characterictics of changes through the conceptual frame of the revolution and evolution changes in provision subsystem of enterprises and ended with the presentation of empirical research. To gain this aim author has used the method of description and critical analysis of material based on literature studies and enterprises. The accepted methodology made possible the collection and analysis of material concerning make use of revolution and evolution changes to create flexibility of the provision subsystem which was the base for the conclusions.
