Opis:
The study presented a theoretical and methodological model of a social-rehabilitation diagnosis. In further parts of the article, an analysis was made of a method of understanding the diagnosis process and social maladjustment (positive approach, concept of ‘resilience’) as well as the basic recommendations were determined for conducting the social-rehabilitation diagnosis. Main areas of diagnosis were indicated and described: individual and environmental, as well as basic elements of the diagnosis process in a positive and negative approach (the complementary model).
W opracowaniu przedstawiono model teoretyczny i model metodologiczny diagnozy resocjalizacyjnej. W kolejnych akapitach dokonano analizy sposobu rozumienia procesu diagnozy, niedostosowania społecznego (w ujęciu pozytywnym i w koncepcji resilience) oraz przedstawiono zalecenia do prowadzenia diagnozy w resocjalizacji. Wskazano i opisano główne obszary diagnozy: indywidualny i środowiskowy, a także najważniejsze elementy procesu diagnozy w ujęciu pozytywnym i negatywnym (model komplementarny).

The article presents complexity of the problem concerning development of diagnosis with defined reliability by a diagnosing system (SDG) on technical condition of marine combustion engines, especially main engines. It was shown that development of the final diagnosis, the so-called initial operation diagnosis, on the operational usability (fDG on PEx) of a main engine in particular, is not possible without prior development of reliable diagnoses such as: diagnosis on correctness of diagnostic signals, diagnosis on correctness of values of the measured diagnostic parameters of an engine (DG on pWM), diagnosis on technical condition of an engine (DG on ST) and initial diagnosis on operational usability of an engine (wDG on PEx), the so-called initial operation diagnosis. Difficulties in development of the diagnoses were emphasized herein due to the fact that the process of acquisition of information needed to develop diagnoses with certain reliability or accuracy is a two-dimensional stochastic process with components: B(t) – being considered during operation (use) of SDG (at so-called long time - quasistatic) and C(ʋ) – being considered while measuring diagnostic parameters and diagnostic inference (at so-called short time - dynamic). The need to determine reliability or accuracy rate of each diagnosis in the form of conditional probability P(S/K) was also indicated, where S – technical state of the engine and K – vector of values of diagnostic parameters reflecting state S. Diagnostic status of marine engine as a diagnosed system (SDN) was characterized in general, on the example of an engine operation process with regards to input (X), output (Y), constant (C) and interference (Z) values. Also there was explained how to understand the terms: diagnostic test, signal inference, measurement inference, structure inference and operation inference, and how inductive inference can be used to verify, for example, the hypothesis H on engine state S when vector K of values of engine diagnostic parameters is observed.

It should be noted, however, that in the social pedagogy diagnostic methods used in other pedagogical sub-disciplines, because there is no strict distinction between pedagogical diagnostics as such and the diagnosis in social pedagogy. Contrary to appearances, the formulation of a correct definition of pedagogical diagnosis is quite problematic. Such definition should on the one hand take into account the specificity of pedagogical diagnosis, i.e. to allow to distinguish pedagogical diagnosis of other diagnoses (medical, technical, etc.), on the other hand be sufficiently narrow so that other types of assessments formulated in the practice of pedagogy are not subject into it.

The article shows the results of ergonomics diagnosis at the concrete mixer workplace. Above mentioned results constitute only a part of a widespread project which aims at integrated ergonomic diagnosis of workplace environment considering improving both technical conditioning and psycho-social conditioning. Foregoing researches were conducted in several companies in Silesian Voivodeship with regard to different work positions. The ergonomic diagnosis was done with the usage of tools as: Ergonomic Control Test CET II and Dortumd’s list. The remarks allowed to evaluate worker’s awareness of ergonomics, and to identify problems in this field.

Badania osobopoznawcze są podstawą podejmowanych względem osadzonego decyzji administracyjnych oraz oddziaływań penitencjarnych i terapeutycznych. Poprawnie przeprowadzona diagnoza umożliwia zindywidualizowanie procesu resocjalizacji penitencjarnej, prognozowanie penitencjarne i kryminologiczno-społeczne, zapobieganie wzajemnej demoralizacji więźniów oraz zapewnienie porządku i bezpieczeństwa w jednostce penitencjarnej. W artykule podjęto próbę szczegółowego omówienia badań osobopoznawczych osób pozbawionych wolności realizowanych w zakładach karnych i aresztach śledczych w kontekście prawno-kryminologicznym i psychopedagogicznym. Omówiono źródła informacji osobopoznawczych o skazanym oraz procedury podejmowane przez personel więzienny w celu przeprowadzenia i udokumentowania diagnozy penitencjarnej W podsumowaniu wskazano na kompetencje personelu więziennego niezbędne do prowadzenia badań osobopoznawczych.
Personal identification tests are the basis for administrative decisions taken in relation to an inmate and penitentiary and therapeutic effects. A correctly performed diagnosis enables the individualization of the process of penitentiary social rehabilitation, penitentiary and criminological and social forecasting, prevention of mutual demoralization of prisoners and ensuring order and security in the penitentiary unit. The article attempts to discuss in detail the personal identification tests of incarcerated persons carried out in penitentiary institutions and remand centers in the legal and criminal and psychopedagogical context. Sources of personal identification information about the convict and procedures undertaken by prison staff inorder to carry out and document a penitentiary diagnosis were discussed. The summary indicates the competences of prison staff necessary for conducting personal identification tests.

The paper presents a new approach to the generation of test signals used in service diagnosis. The tests make it possible to isolate faults, which are isolable only if the system is brought into specific operating points. The basis for the test signal selection is a structure graph that represents the couplings among the external and internal signals of the system and the fault signals. Graph-theoretic methods are used to identify edges that disappear under certain operating conditions and prevent a fault from changing the system behavior at this operating point. These operating conditions are identified by validuals, which are indicators obtained during the graph-theoretic analysis. The test generation method is illustrated by a process engineering example.

The paper is focused on nonlinear analog circuits, with the special attention paid to circuits comprising bipolar and MOS transistors manufactured in micrometer and submicrometer technology. The problem of fault diagnosis of this class of circuits is discussed, including locating faulty elements and evaluating their parameters. The paper deals with multiple parametric fault diagnosis using the simulation after test approach as well as detection and location of single catastrophic faults, using the simulation before test approach. The discussed methods are based on diagnostic test, leading to a system of nonlinear algebraic type equations, which are not given in explicit analytical form. An important and new aspect of the fault diagnosis is finding multiple solutions of the test equation, i.e. several sets of the parameters values that meet the test. Another new problems in this area are global fault diagnosis of technological parameters in CMOS circuits fabricated in submicrometer technology and testing the circuits having multiple DC operating points. To solve these problems several methods have been recently developed, which employ different concepts and mathematical tools of nonlinear analysis. In this paper they are sketched and illustrated. All the discussed methods are based on the homotopy (continuation) idea. It is shown that various versions of homotopy and combinations of the homotopy with some other mathematical algorithms lead to very powerful tools for fault diagnosis of nonlinear analog circuits. To trace the homotopy path which allows finding multiple solutions, the simplicial method, the restart method, the theory of linear complementarity problem and Lemke’s algorithm are employed. For illustration four numerical examples are given.

The author of the article, popularising education for wisdom as a basis for comprehensive development of pupils, looks for methods supporting the development of wisdom from childhood. Stimulation of wisdom in early education can be a challenge to teachers due to a lack of theoretical and practical guide- lines. Thus, the author developed and used in studies specific diagnostic tools for analysing the capabilities and skills of older preschool children in using wisdom in their thinking. The article describes the study results concerning the application of divergent tasks stimulating thinking in children in different ranges of intelligence (based on R.J. Sternberg’s concept) and conclusions from the studies conducted based on a randomly selected sample (N = 366), e.g., that used tasks make it possible to differentiate the competences and intellectual capabilities of the children in question.

The article touches on the diagnostic problems faced by psychologists, pedagogues, and psychiatrists who try to determine the psychopathology of the difficulties in the behaviours of children. The current study focuses on the analysis of the clinical picture and the genesis of the disorders occurring as a result of an extremely stressful event (PTSD) and also attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These disorders are full of diagnostic uncertainties when occurring in children. The analysis of the two disorders is based on the diagnostic criteria of DSM-5. The analysis of their etiology is based on the data concerning the functional characteristics of central nervous system. The article is summed up by an attempt to name the elements necessary for the differential diagnosis of the two disorders.

This article analyses the role of positive diagnosis in social rehabilitation. It has been assumed to be a priority in identifying socially maladapted individuals. The sufficiency of the negative diagnosis model, used so far in social rehabilitation pedagogy, has been questioned. Referring to the main features of psycho-pedagogical diagnosis (e.g. infinity, complexity, multidimensionality), the fundamental principles of diagnosing the so-called difficult phenomena, which include social maladaptation, have been formulated. The analysis has been conducted referring to the results of empirical studies (own and other authors’ studies) concerning the complex and ambiguous descriptions of maladapted people (self-concept, self-assessment, self-acceptance, concept of the world, concept of one’s own life). The article proposes a model of social rehabilitation diagnosis from the perspective of positive psychology(quality of life) and cognitive psychology.

This publication is devoted to the issue of pre-diagnosis and its role in the early detection of problems/delays/disharmony or developmental disorders in children at this age. Preschool diagnosis, supported by observation, as it is often the first study, on the basis of which the regularity or irregularity of a child’s development can be stated. It is the duty of teachers in relation to the results of this diagnosis, to take action to support the development of a child diagnosed with problems / delays / disharmony and disorder in order to reduce them. Early diagnosis and, consequently, early action enable one to avoid deepening the problems/disorders/disharmony or delays, and allows the child to function in the family and society.
