The article presents a cross-sectional view of the development of the HEV car market over the last two decades. Hybrid cars are currently the widest group of cars equipped with alternative to classic drive systems. They are also the most numerous group among electric vehicles. The historical meanders of HEV development were described, as well as the current level of development of this market and the real prospects for the popularization of HEV cars. The level of world production of this category of motor vehicles in the twenty-year period 2001-2020 was also characterized. The article attempts to estimate the real size of the world's HEV fleet. The level of sales of this category of vehicles by individual countries and their changing percentage share in the passenger car market were also presented. Sales of electric hybrids even in the crisis year 2020 increased from 3.2 million to approx. 4 million vehicles, despite a decrease in sales of new passenger cars from 64 to 54 million units. The above fact also proves the market attractiveness of this type of vehicles and the constantly growing interest in them.
W artykule przedstawiono przekrojowy obraz rozwoju rynku samochodów HEV na przestrzeni ostatnich dwóch dekad. Samochody hybrydowe to obecnie najszersza grupa samochodów wyposażonych w alternatywne dla klasycznych układów napędowych rozwiązania. Stanowią też najliczniejszą grupę wśród pojazdów elektrycznych. Opisano historyczne meandry rozwoju HEV, obecny poziom rozwoju tego rynku oraz realne perspektywy spopularyzowania samochodów HEV. Scharakteryzowano również poziom światowej produkcji tej kategorii pojazdów samochodowych w dwudziestoleciu 2001-2020. W artykule podjęto próbę oszacowania rzeczywistej wielkości światowej floty HEV. Przedstawiono również poziom sprzedaży tej kategorii pojazdów przez poszczególne kraje oraz zmieniający się ich udział procentowy w rynku samochodów osobowych. Sprzedaż hybryd elektrycznych nawet w kryzysowym roku 2020 wzrosła z 3,2 mln do ok. 4 mln pojazdów, pomimo spadku sprzedaży nowych aut osobowych z 64 do 54 mln sztuk. Powyższy fakt świadczy również o atrakcyjności rynkowej tego typu pojazdów i stale rosnącym zainteresowaniu nimi.

Opis:
Project management within the automotive production in specific departments is still done separately and does not interact with engineering process. Our work aims on providing flexible data insights on collaboration tasks within such environments. We apply semantic technologies RDF, OWL and SPARQL with a specific domain related ontology PROTARES (PROject TAsks RESources) to interlink, describe and query domain knowledge. As proof of concept we are introducing an experimental visualisation interface called TaskRadar. Our application resides on domain ontology and allows knowledge based browsing and visualisation of tasks in development process. With this example we want to show, how semantically driven customized views can support monitoring and reflection as well as decision-making within the early phases of the automotive product lifecycle.

In the years 2016-2020, there has been a significant acceleration in the development of technologies for the hydrogen energy use and their popularization in practice. The value of the global hydrogen market in 2018 was estimated at US $122 billion, predicted that it will increase to US $155 billion by the 2022. The appropriate policy framework has a major impact on the development of new technologies, in particular during research, prototype implementations and the initial phase of their commercialization. Of course, this also fully applies to hydrogen technologies, which was confirmed, i.a., in its study by The Hydrogen Council, a leading global organization in this field. The spearheading countries intensively involved in the development and dissemination of hydrogen technologies are primarily: Japan, China, South Korea, Germany, France, Great Britain, Scandinavian and Benelux countries, as well as Canada and the USA. A dozen more countries making up the leading group, such as: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, India and South Africa are making efforts to join the global hydrogen race and complete the leading group. The scale of the global development of hydrogen technologies is illustrated by the fact that at the end of 2019, vehicles with hydrogen fuel cells and the publicly accessible hydrogen refuelling stations serving them already operated in 18 countries. An effective use of the incurred expenditures undoubtedly requires the interested states to formulate an appropriate policy (strategy) for the hydrogenation of the economy, including, in addition to precisely defined long-term objectives, e.g. elements of support from public administration, assurance of: stable investment conditions and the necessary regulatory conditions. The article attempts to synthetically present the political framework, i.e. the functioning plans and programs as well as national strategies for the development of hydrogen technology and economy in 19 countries.

Ich najistotniejszym skutkiem są wypadki drogowe, których liczba, rodzaje oraz następstwa dla uczestników ruchu uzależnione są od wielu odmiennych czynników. Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest problematyce bezpieczeństwa i porządku w ruchu drogowym oraz zdarzeniom drogowym i ich skutkom w Polsce.
Road safety is a complex research problem and, due to different causes and circumstances, an interdisciplinary issue. Its essence lies in the intensification of the automotive industry, which, apart from many benefits, is also a source of negative phenomena and dangerous threats. The most important consequences are road accidents, whose number, types and consequences for traffic participants depend on many different factors. This paper is devoted to the issues of safety and order in road traffic as well as road incidents and their consequences in Poland.

The increasing complexity of automotive electronic systems is linked to the continuous development of new or adaptation of those already proven has been efficient in other fields of information management. Contemporary vehicles are characterized by great diversity of data exchange used in them ways. Communication protocols proposed and used by car manufacturers, such as the K-line, Can, Lin, and FlexRay have been changing their position as a part of formally adopted group of standards. The article is an attempt to outline the evolution and prospects of implementation of automotive networks, taking into account current technological capabilities as well as the requirements and expectations of potential users. The advantages of Ethernet are proved by the fact, that many of the leading automation companies which developed and popularized the standards of their own network such as Profibus (Siemens), Cc-link (Mitsubishi), Modbus (Modicon/Shneider) for years, move to Ethernet protocols, which is solutions based on the OSI layer 2 -respectively Profinet, CC-Link IE, Modbus TCP. It is a significant difference between industrial and automotive network applications is the difference in desired behaviour of controlled object. In most of the cases in the industrial systems, a proper reaction in critical situations should be to stop the activity of particular elements of controlled plant.

A socially responsible company should take responsibility for its impact but also take care of the impact throughout its supply chain. Its perspective must be wider than only its own practices. Supplier development process can be used to spread socially and environmentally responsible practices across the supply chain. The aim of the paper is to identify and classify the socially responsible activities practised by the car producers and dedicated to their suppliers. In the paper sustainability reports of seven automakers were analysed. The authors used the technique of content analysis. The socially responsible practices dedicated to suppliers was classified into three dimensions and four categories. All of the automakers disclose information in their sustainability reports on socially responsible practices focused on their suppliers. However, the practices differ in terms of dimension and the area of CSR applied.

Wzrost znaczenia modeli biznesowych w gospodarce światowej przypada na początek XXI w. Według informacji zamieszczonych w Global CEO Study dla IBM Institute z 2006 r. kierownictwo wyższych szczebli firm wszystkich branż uważa za priorytet tworzenie innowacyjnych modeli biznesowych. Natomiast w badaniach z 2009 r. Global CEO Study wskazuje, że siedem na dziesięć firm uczestniczyło w opracowywaniu modeli biznesowych, a 98% z nich modyfikuje swoje modele biznesowe. Wzrost znaczenia modeli biznesowych jest również zauważalny dla branży motoryzacyjnej w gospodarce światowej, dlatego celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie uwarunkowań dla rozwoju modeli biznesowych opracowywanych przez korporacje samochodowe w oparciu o perspektywy rozwoju branży motoryzacyjnej na najbliższe 25 lat.
The growing importance of business models in the global economy falls on the beginning of the 21st century. According to the information provided in the Global CEO Study for the IBM Institute of 2006, the senior management of companies from all industries considers the creation of innovative business models as a priority. In the 2009 Global CEO Study, however, points out that seven out of ten companies participated in the development of business models, and 98% of them modify their business models [Casadesus-Massanel, Ricard, 2011]. The growing importance of business models is also noticeable for the automotive industry in the global economy, therefore, the purpose of the article is to present the conditions for the development of business models developed by car corporations based on the development prospects of the automotive industry for the next 25 years.

The research aims to recognize the potential of adopting the model-based design methodology to the development process of an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) fuelling system. Changing regulations often force the modern development of internal combustion engines (Euro 7, CO2 reduction measures, etc.). With the definitive ban on new registrations of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines in Europe (planned for 2035), there is still ongoing development of the adaptation of the fuelling system to LPG. There is still market potential in adapting new internal combustion engines, usually equipped with direct injection systems, to reduce customers’ cost of ownership of a vehicle. As the engineering process should be accelerated in the face of the variety of direct injection systems offered by OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), the model-based design methodology is proposed to make the development more effective. The article presents the SWOT analysis of this approach in the engineering process and the potential of the method in an LPG system development is concluded.

W artykule przedstawiono niektóre rodzaje samochodów osobowych eksploatowanych przez sektor cywilny, jak też przez sektor wojenny podczas II wojny światowej. Zasadniczym kryterium przyjętym w artykule było wykorzystanie gazu generatorowego jako paliwa do napędu tego typu pojazdów. Były one produkowane w różnych krajach, potrzebę tego typu konstrukcji i produkcji wymusił m.in. kryzys paliwowy, także brak benzyny, paliw płynnych które zużywano na potrzeby wojny. W skład artykułu wchodzą ryciny, schematy, które ilustrują graficznie przedstawione zagadnienie.
This article presents chosen types of passenger cars exploited by the civil sector, as well as by the war sector, during World War II. The basic criterion applied in the article was the usage of producer gas as fuel for driving this type of vehicles. These were produced in various countries and the need for this type of constructions and production was forced, inter alia, by the fuel crisis, as well as by the lack of fuel, liquid fuels, which were used for the needs of the war. The article includes figures and diagrams which graphically illustrate the presented topic.

The article presents retrospections of technological solutions for the construction of vehicles and adaptive devices used by drivers with disabilities. The author explored the subject using the method of historiographic analysis to collect and report the research material indicated in this study, taking into account the perspective of the development of science in this field. The study contains a dozen or so examples of vehicles that were constructed in the years 1945–2000, adaptive devices, microcars and autonomous vehicles dedicated to people with disabilities. The main purpose of the work was to draw attention to the trend in the development of simple technical solutions based on motorcycle mechanics to more complex autonomous vehicles. The direction in which the development of the automotive industry is heading is optimistic, although it still requires attention to be payed to certain aspects that will affect the use of the technological potential hidden in its capabilities. The study does not describe adaptive devices on the scale that is used, but rather shows that these measures were not perfect and were not based on relevant mobility needs.

W artykule zostały przedstawione różne formy doradztwa organizacyjnego. Niektóre z nich dostarczają wiedzę i umiejętności, inne są również źródłem technologii, produktów i kapitałów. Okazuje się, że w określonych warunkach poszczególne formy doradztwa organizacyjnego powodują uzależnienie od organizacji doradczych. W niektórych sytuacjach organizacja korzystająca z doradztwa traci samodzielność, a niekiedy nawet tożsamość. Ponadto w ramach prowadzonych rozważań w artykule przedstawiono model ewolucji organizacji motoryzacyjnych w ostatnim dwudziestoleciu w Polsce. Okazuje się, że gwarancję prawidłowego skorzystania z usług organizacji doradczych stanowią m.in. wysoko kwalifikowany personel średniego i niższego szczebla, prawidłowy nadzór nad infrastrukturą techniczną oraz zdolność kierownictwa do przewidywania zmian zachodzących w otoczeniu biznesu.
In the paper various forms of organizational consulting are presented. Some of them introduce valuable knowledge and skills to organizations. Others are also the source of technology, products and capital. Sometimes, the organizations become dependent on the consulting agencies. In some cases, companies that benefit from consulting services are no longer separate or lose their identity. In addition, the development of automotive companies are presented in the article. Consulting services are conducted right if, among others, the staff is well-qualified, technical infrastructure is monitored and the management of the company is able to predict the changes in business surroundings.

The far-reaching modifications power systems and ignition automobile engines and aftertreatment improvements achieved significant reduction in toxic emissions. Cooling fluid pump driven mechanically become archaic not allowing the free circulation of fluid control. Also, various temperature levels needed for different cooling processes require controlled three-way valve. The article describes the electronic control currently introduced into the cooling system.

The aim of this article is to define the role of the automobile industry in the process of industrialization and motorization in Venezuela. This country entered the path of industrialization at the beginning of the 20th century reinvesting part of the funds obtained from oil export. The oil sector has gradually become the main source of income that could have been spent on the development of the country and other sectors of the economy. On the other hand, the excessive dominance proved to be detrimental to the development of other sectors, especially in the manufacturing industry. The automotive industry, which was initially successful and recorded rapid growth in production, in the long run turned out to be poorly embedded into the domestic economy and highly dependent on the imported parts. The small local market did not guarantee a relatively large group of companies that decided to invest in the production of cars, neither opportunities to achieve profitable scale of production, nor ability to compete in foreign markets. Consequently, the resulting automotive sector is relatively small, poorly integrated into local productive structures, heavily dependent on imported auto parts and components, and in the face of increasing trade liberalization its products are becoming less competitive in comparison to imported vehicles.
Celem artykułu jest określenie roli przemysłu samochodowego w procesie industrializacji oraz rozwoju motoryzacji w Wenezueli. Kraj ten dopiero na początku XX wieku wkroczył na drogę uprzemysłowienia, reinwestując część środków uzyskanych z eksportu ropy naftowej. Sektor naftowy stopniowo stał się głównym źródłem dochodów, które można było przeznaczyć na rozwój kraju oraz innych niż naftowa dziedzin gospodarki. Z drugiej strony nadmierna dominacja sektora naftowego okazała się szkodliwa dla rozwoju innych sektorów, a szczególnie przemysłu przetwórczego. Przemysł samochodowy, odnoszący początkowo sukcesy i notujący szybki wzrost produkcji, okazał się jednak w dłuższej perspektywie słabo zakorzeniony w krajowej gospodarce i uzależniony od importu. Niewielki lokalny rynek nie gwarantował stosunkowo licznej grupie firm, które zdecydowały się zainwestować w produkcję samochodów, osiągnięcia opłacalnej skali produkcji ani konkurencji na rynkach zagranicznych. W konsekwencji sektor motoryzacyjny jest stosunkowo niewielki, słabo zintegrowany z lokalnymi poddostawcami, silnie uzależniony od importu części i podzespołów, a w obliczu postępującej liberalizacji wymiany handlowej jego produkty są coraz mniej konkurencyjne w stosunku do importowanych pojazdów.

Przedstawiono przykłady zastosowania nowoczesnych technologii komputerowych w rozwoju infrastruktury transportu samochodowego. Spełniają one funkcje monitorujące i kontrolujące bezpieczeństwo i płynność ruchu, zapewniają możliwość zdalnego kierowania pojazdami i bieżącej informacji o przeszkodach i zmianach na zaplanowanej trasie, pobieranie opłat na autostradach, automatyczny pomiar zanieczyszczenia środowiska oraz inne. Dzięki nim możliwe jest sterowanie ruchem strumieni pojazdów w całym systemie komunikacyjnym kraju.
In this paper we present intelligent transport systems their division, structure and meaning. Also we present examples of employment of modern computer technologies in article in development of infrastructure of road transport. They grant functions monitoring and collect controlling safety and liquidity of traffic, they assure capability of remote drive vehicles and current information of barrier and on planned route changes, it collect on highways charges, automatic measurement of pollution and other. It is possible to steering flow of traffic in whole communication system of country.
