Opis:
This article provides an explanation for the single and puzzling Tocharian B gloss śaiṣṣe ‘world’ (instead of Tocharian A ārkiśoṣi) for Sanskrit jagat- ‘world’ on a Sanskrit fragment SHT 4438 with all the other glosses in Tocharian A. Based on a detailed study of the Sanskrit and Chinese texts, Tocharian A ārkiśoṣi is very likely the loan translation of Sanskrit sā̆bhāloka(dhātu)- ‘a world with radiance’, which is preserved in the Chinese translations by Kumārajīva and other translators connected with Kucha. In the Kucha area, the first part sā̆bhā- was understood as containing -(ā)bhā- ‘radiance’. Buddhist Sanskrit sa(b)hāloka(dhātu)- is built from sa(b)hāpati- ‘master of sa(b)hā world’, epithet of the highest divinity Brahmā in the sahāloka-, which derives via Middle Indic from the older epithet sabhāpati- ‘owner of the assembly hall’ in Atharvaveda. The excursus at the end offers a glimpse into the complicated transmission process of Chinese Buddhist terminology based on the analysis of Chinese sha men ‘monk’ and he shang ‘teacher, monk’.

The main categories of products and services available within the world were defined and divided: the advertising opportunities into free marketing tools, official tools and in-world marketing tools. Second Life creates a unique platform, which allows the creation of a virtual business with profits in real life. Advertising and in-world marketing offers them the option to promote virtual goods. The main marketing tools within the virtual environment are defined and elaborated with specific cases. The lack of literature related to Second Life is visible in the sources and the environment is still unexplored, therefore we used personal experience from our 11 year presence within the virtual environment and virtual business in Second Life.

Opis:
Poland’s presence at World’s Fairs between the World Wars is a special issue in that, after a long absence on the map of Europe, the country had the opportunity to show its industrial and cultural achievements in the international arena as an independent exhibitor for the first time. Thus, this event always had a very important political dimension. Its symbol was the Polish pavilion presented in Paris in 1925, but no less important was the pavilion at the New York World’s Fair in 1939. Although it was a success at the world expo, it was overshadowed by the tragic consequences of the outbreak of World War II almost from the beginning. From today’s perspective, it is worth looking at this object, to evaluate its foundation and ultimate significance, as well as to reflect on the difficult concept of national art, in addition to tracing the fate of the pavilion.

Goethe’s philosophical writings all ultimately stem from his efforts to understand the creative act, which he experienced as essentially the same in all the various forms of activity he engaged in, the writing of his poems, novels and plays, his scientific investigations, his service to the Weimar state and participation in the life of its court. In contemplating his creative experience, he developed a unique conception of the soul, which this article seeks to analyze.

Opis:
RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: This article seeks to outline what may be called a ‘diagnosis’ of the relationship between the church and the world, according to the English blessed, John Henry Newman. In his opinion, this relationship will always be conflictive and it is destined to remain so (an account that seems to be confirmed, and perhaps even accentuated, in our time).THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The discussion, following a brief hermeneutic because of its limited extension, reflects on Newman’s thesis relevant in its thought: the church-world opposition, an opposition on which this author is highly descriptive, and whose approaches do not have any ambiguity.THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The argumentative line of the article stops at three points consistent with each other and coherent within the British religious’s exposition: 1. The customs of the church and the world differ completely. 2. Wanting to adopt the criteria of the world is always a dangerous lure for the church. 3. A dichotomous relationship with the world, a world fallen by sin, is a natural condition for the church.RESEARCH RESULTS: The evident tension between the church and the world emerges from the analysis carried out in the investigation.CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: What is the usual framework of the relationship between the church and the world according to Cardinal Newman? This question, tacitly present in this article, is answered by Newman in a negative way (as it shows with well-founded reasons, in my opinion, a problematic bond which dates from the beginning of the church and that in the future will continue to be so). His thesis confirms and expresses an essential discordance between two realms of different condition: a temporal one, the world, and an eternal one, the church. From his writings on this subject, it is concluded that the mission of the church is to evangelize the world in an incessant way, although the results of it seem always a little insufficient and even infertile.

Opis:
In the paper, the author is studying religious phenomena in the vide- ogame called World of Warcraft (WoW) and compares them with tra- ditional religions such as Christian religion and Buddhism. According to author, religious phenomena exist in WoW in the form of myths, rituals and in the creation of communities. This religious phenomena are not completely fictional, because the players are influenced by the virtual (there are cognitive changes), and then we have to accept some degree of the reality here. The author claims that WoW can partially saturate spiritual needs of the contemporary hypermodern man. How- ever, the author states that it cannot replace traditional religion since it lacks its main part – salvation of the man in Christianity (or freeing in Buddhism), which is achieved through self-knowledge, eliminat- ing bad inclinations, prayers or meditation. Traditional religions have a basic structure of religion expressed by the matrix “life – death – res- urrection” which is directly connected with the human body. Human body still constitutes an important part for salvation (or freedom), in- troducing thus a boundary between the real and virtual. According to author, WoW is similar to theatre in the Ancient Greece, the game of WoW can have cathartic effects on the player, but cannot replace tra- ditional religion.
Autor artykułu bada religijne zjawiska w grze komputerowej World of Warcraft (WoW) i porównuje je z tradycyjnymi religiami, takimi jak chrześcijaństwo czy buddyzm. Według autora, fenomeny religijne wy- stępują w WoW w formie mitów, rytuałów, a także w tworzeniu wspól- not.

In the long run, prestige does play an important role in building a university's brand from the point of view of both management and students, alumni in particular. Prestige is built by the academic staff, programmes of studies, and the learning conditions, to name the most important factors. A programme of studies is a distinctive element that sets a university apart from the competition, and by doing so decides about its competitive advantage. In the context of higher education marketing, it is also important to remember about the already mentioned process of adjusting programmes of studies to the labour market requirements.

The migrations of population are considered to be one of fundamental values in the life of cultures and civilisations . At the same time it is pointed out that they should not be a spontaneous phenomena and process. It is essential to prepare oneself for functioning in an immigration reality, for various barriers reveal themselves in it and are overcome by immigrants only with effort. The psychological factor is important in this respect. A number of people encounter difficulties to adapt to a new cultural reality because of their personality (e.g. because of neuroticism, distrust towards the outside world, introvertism).

Sports diplomacy is a means to influence diplomatic, social and political relations through sports. However, the sports and politics have had both positive and negative implications over history. On the one hand, sports diplomacy significantly contributes to building ever-strengthening relations among nations, sports federations and athletes which help to support world peace. On the other hand, everyday practice reveals cases of implementing negative impacts on organising sporting events such as financial and political influences, or even bribery and corruption. One of the most frequently criticised examples of the failure of the ideals of sport is organisation the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is scheduled to take place in Qatar. Football has always been the most popular sport in the world and its most significant quadrennial championship always attracts attention of millions of people worldwide. Decision to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the Middle East country evoked various suspicions, as the decision may be connected with possibilities of money laundering and other financial profits.

Alameddine highlights the violence inscribed in the practices of book selection and canon formation. In doing so, he troubles received notions of the canon, the classics, and especially of world literature, offering an alternative conceptualization of this long-debated category as an intimate, cosmopolitan assemblage of worldly texts.

Opis:
The study elucidates a topical problem related to the manifestation of characteristic parametric features of such important concepts as the lingual picture of the world, the conceptual picture of the world, the artistic picture of the world. In the course of the investigation, the process of formation of linguoconceptology as an independent field of research is considered, the meaning of the term linguoconceptology is clarified, the object and subject of this approach along with its purpose and objectives are revealed. We conclude that linguoconceptology is based on the identification and study of concepts, as well as means that represent them. The picture of the world is a set of ideas of a person about the world. Conceptual and lingual pictures of the world are intertwined: the former objectifies knowledge in the human mind, which is accumulated through the lingual picture of the world, though it is much broader; the latter implies a means of studying certain individual or national characteristics of human behaviour through modelling concepts. The artistic picture of the world stands out as it is built on the basis of the actualisation of both objective and subjective representations of the world simultaneously, as well as on human consciousness, which borders on the unconscious and illusions

The paper presents an analysis of the ORP Błyskawica ship in World of Warships. The study concerns the retrotopian and mythological image of the replica of a real warship created in the game. The analysis and interpretation touch upon both the model of acquiring ships within the framework of playbour and the very idea of faithfully reproducing a historical artefact. The reflection concerns, therefore, virtual technology employed in the service of nostalgia and of dreams, and as a tool for constructing myths about the glorious past in which military technologies developed. For this purpose, the text introduces a new research category, namely a quasi-historical item.

Opis:
Artykuł opisuje komunikację wewnętrzną w firmie World Courier – światowej firmie działającej w obszarze logistyki.

The competitiveness of enterprises increasingly depends on the information obtained in the communication process. Knowledge orientation changes the essence of the company’s functioning, which gathers the potential of competences, information and opportunities created by the environment. The process of internal communication in enterprises nowadays is more and more fundamental and significant. The article describes internal communication in World Courier company − a global company operating in the field of logistics.

As the current practice of local conflicts, including in Ukrainain case, humanity is not yet able to coexist in such close social ties. Based on the research of leadingscientists, the author reveals the universal destructive world view, which is dictated by three specific factors. The discussion included also the review of the law on colonization and division of the land, as well as the law on bank loans offered to those who were professionally engaged in farming. In addition, the authoress made an analysis of the archaic institution of fideicomissum. While depicting the background of legislative efforts of the time, the authoress recalled the developments that took place prior to the discussed changes in the ownership relationships. Therefore she discussed also the 19th century reforms that abolished serfdom and serf labour, introduced the land and mortgage register etc.

This research is dedicated to the characteristic of structural spatial shifts of the world manufacturing industry. These trends have conduced to the restructuring of the world economy and main shifts in the manufacturing locations both at regional and global levels. On the one hand, countries have got a great chance to develop and to become active players in the world economy. On the other hand, those that fell behind the scientific and technological revolution, which started in the second part of the 20th century, and did not do their best to create new high technologies (or just did not have such opportunities because of a low level of development, illiteracy or people poorness) turned out to be behind global leading economies. Structural shifts both in manufacturing location and in industrial composition occur very quickly in the recent decades. There have been shifts in the HT-industry composition. The shift to developing Asian countries is fixed and there are some reasons for that. That is why the theme chosen for this paper is not very researched and rather burning. Moreover, it has practical importance for Russia, which in the current financial crisis once again has faced a choice to define the strategy of its further development.

In this paper, we wish to address the issue of financial crises. We focus on the causes and implications for the world economy and financial stability. For this reason, we attempt to identify the relative phenomena that encourage the emergence of financial crises. The amplification of the financial sector at the international level and the high degree of financial integration render the debate of financial crises solemnly significant. The world economy has become unstable and vulnerable to the emergence of unanticipated financial events. Such events are not simply limited to a large bank default but also to the inability of a multinational firm or an agent to validate their debts. Thus, we mainly emphasize the insights of Hyman Minsky into the global financial crisis, who suggested that the flaws of the current dominant financial status would eventually entail instability and probably lead to crises with contagion effects at the international level. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to indicate that the perils of financial crises for the global economy must be perceptible and considerable ex ante in order to be successfully confronted.

Liberal institutionalism has traditionally emphasized the need for institutional arrangements to initiate and sustain cooperation among states. The theory regenerated much interest in the capacity and potential of global governance structures, for stable international cooperation and peaceful coexistence in the post-cold war world. During the last 30 years the world has witnessed a revolution in governance, both private and public, in the areas that have been filled with regulatory bodies, loose initiatives, regimes, ephemeral and more persistent forms of governance whose political activity in most cases takes place outside the channels of formal politics. This should not, however, overshadow the fact that global organizations designed to address global problems are increasingly incapable of managing the instabilities created by global interdependence. This article explores the relationship between neoliberal conceptualisations of the international affairs, state power and global governance, analysing the features of the current geopolitical transition and its possible consequences for the liberal world order.

Opis:
More and more often we encounter the opinion that democracy is not necessarily the optimum system of government. It is particularly visible in turbulent times, when the ability to make quick decisions becomes one of the key factors determining a country’s ability to gain a competitive edge. As a result, in numerous discussions concerning the future of democracy we can also hear voices which advocate that the democratic system must be reformed or else it will collapse. In the light of the above, we should ask ourselves if there are any alternatives which would be more capable of successfully facing the challenges of the contemporary world. The best candidate seems to be authoritarian developmentalism, which is the dominant system of government in East Asia. However, the analysis of the system shows that its implementation requires special characteristics which are not necessarily common for most societies. Moreover, after a country reaches a certain stage of civilisational development, the system stops being adequate for the developing civil society and as a result it requires many modifications – as many as in the case of democracy.

The theme of the work is the bibliological communication understood as a process of placing books in social circulation. It consists of the following stages: creation of work, production, dissemination and reception of the book. The article attempts to answer the question about changes that take place in the model of bibliological communication and in its subject (book), when it is implemented in a Web environment, making full use of network capacity and hypertext. From the perspective of bibliological communication, i.e. referring to the concept and terminology of bibliological communication, it was possible to characterize and describe the phenomena of the use of digital and/or networked information technology in bibliological communication. The paper proposes a scheme of bibliological communication and describes the role and place of the Internet, the World Wide Web in particular, and the information technologies in the bibliological communication. The electronic book, digitized book, and/or networked book  became a tool of communication. In addition, the course of bibliological communication changed and began to take digital and digital-network forms. The result of the analysis is a description of the two new forms of bibliological communication. The first of them was called digital bibliological communication. It was analyzed and characterized (i.e. its course and forms it may take) and a model of digital bibliological communication was also proposed. The second was called network bibliological communication. It was also the subject of description, and the author’s model of network bibliological communication was also proposed.

Therefore, this article will first present the ecclesiological foundations of the lay faithful’s earthly commitment, and then, the process of their preparation, taking into consideration their personal and religious development. Finally it will also explore the meaning of the community as the place of their permanent formation.

The article deals with the changes of Ukrainians’ linguistic picture of the world in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. The peculiarities of the linguistic picture of the world and the national linguistic picture of the world are determined. Neologisms, phraseological modifications and some samples of modern folklore are analyzed. It was found that the peculiarity of COVID neologisms is the adaptation of foreign borrowings and the use of typical Ukrainian means of word formation. COVID phraseologisms are modifications of phrases already existing in the mind of the Ukrainian speaker. As for folklore, modern Christmas and New Year folklore under conditions ofCOVID-19 is a kind of transformation of traditional carols and congratulations. Anecdotes about the pandemic stand apart from previous folklore samples and reflect not only Ukrainian modern realities but also its past. Memes also serve as a source of traditions, history, culture of Ukrainian people. Understanding the verbalized picture of the COVID world is impossible without knowledge of these aspects of the nonverbal world, as well as previous experience of verbalization.

The presented analysis also focuses on other aspects of banking activities, such as saving, investing and the institutional development of the banking sector. The author underlines the far-reaching convergence between the religions in this area, in spite of the considerable variation in historical and geographical conditions of their formation. The importance of cultural (religious) differences, including some fundamental nuances that affect the banking management in different regions. For successful development, large multinational corporations have to take into consideration the above-mentioned circumstances, regardless of the globalisation processes.

The risk of America’, Tadeusz Slawek writes in the final plenary lecture, ‘is […] America itself-its endless, limitless ambitions […] to know absolutely everything’. These words resonate in important ways with the diagnosis of the contemporary world offered in The Transparency Society by Byung-Chul Han-a German-Korean theorist whose work has only recently begun to appear in English translation. Byung-Chul Han attacks transparency as a contemporary false ideal. The illusion that we can obtain information about everyone and everything-that thanks to technological innovations like the Internet, the world has become transparent-runs counter to the actual impoverishment of our ability to make sense of this wealth of data. We accumulate information, but this does not necessarily mean that our knowledge of the world increases. Through a deft and illuminating reading of poetry by Robinson Jeffers and e. e. cummings, matched by astute references to Norman O. Brown, Jean Luc Nancy, and George Bataille, and others, Sławek traces the poets’ brave struggle against the culture and rhetoric of ‘excess’. Jeffers and cummings, but also D. H. Lawrence, were quick to denounce that America was turning into a ‘world in which everything is “far too”, i.e., a world subjected to human ambition and desire, a world of hasty activism’ where only Theodore Roosevelt’s ‘one hundred percent Americans’ would be welcome. To the nightmarish dream of a panoptical, completely transparent America, Slawek opposes a poetic and cultural tradition that stands firmly opposed to ‘the hubristic desires of the American state to know absolutely everything regardless of civil rights and political and economic costs’.

Different kind of fiction was produced in this context and every writer has tried his/her level best to present that dilemma in his/her own way. It presents a clear picture that which sort of elements were there to bring that specific change and transition towards the modern era in 20th century. It has brought the ur-ban settlements and rapid growth in the industrial deeds. During that specific time, fascism, consumer culture, surveillance, anti- intellectualism, media influence communism and totalitarianism were on the peak. All these factors lead the writers to create dystopian fiction and it formed a striking literary movement. This research is limited to the three dystopian novels of 20th century including Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Lord of the Flies by William Golding and 1984 by George Orwell. This research is qualitative in nature, Marxist, Althusserian and Freudian theories support this research as a primary theoretical framework. This research is helpful to know about the Pre and Post World Wars scenario and to know about the socio-political scenario of the present day world.

Opis:
The paper deals with the concept of the model of the word. It concerns a pre-linguistic stage of language acquisition, descriptive content of proper names and interpretation by means of a conceptual system. The model of the world comprises all aspects of being conscious. It is a system, a unity, a background of our conscious life; perception, language, notions, concepts, are its aspects. The more we know about cognitive processes, functions and structure of the mind, the be$er we understand the nature of language; the more we know about language, the better we understand the nature of the mind. Linguistic meaning as it was shown by the studies of language and categories acquisition, has its origin in the aforementioned model. That is why linguistic meanings are not ready-made contents, ideas, semantic entities, etc. but rather systems of procedures that constitute sense of speech acts. The approach to linguistic meaning as a part of an individual conceptual system, a system of information that mirrors cognitive, linguistic and non-verbal experience of an individual, is much of help in understanding efficacy of language, forming of beliefs, convictions, and also introducing new meanings.

For a very long time, RNA was considered just the medium by which information flows from DNA into the cell. In this context, the results of the Human Genome Project and the discoveries of RNA interference and small regulatory RNAs (srRNAs) came as a true surprise. The first ones demonstrated that less than 5% of the human genome encodes proteins. The second showed that RNA, especially 20-30 nt-long molecules should be placed among the most important factors controlling gene expression. srRNAs are capable of affecting the release and flow of genetic information in many different ways. They can induce changes in the genome structure, inhibit transcription, mediate mRNA degradation and repress translation. Interestingly, in different organisms, different pathways are used to regulate gene expression. It has recently been estimated that, in humans, the expression of 35-40% of genes is controlled by srRNA. As a result, RNA is currently believed to be a central molecule in many biological processes.

Opis:
Among the numerous hypotheses offering a scenario for the origin of life on Earth, the one called “The RNA World” has gained the most attention. According to this hypothesis RNA acted as a genetic information storage material, as a catalyst of all metabolic reactions, and as a regulator of all processes in the primordial world. Various experiments show that RNA molecules could have been synthesized abiotically, with the potential to mediate a whole repertoire of metabolic reactions. Ribozymes carrying out aminoacyl-tRNA reactions have been found in SELEX (systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment) approaches and the development of a ribosome from a RNA-built protoribosome is easy to imagine. Transfer RNA aminoacylation, protoribosome origin, and the availability of amino acids on early Earth allowed the genetic code to evolve. Encoded proteins most likely stabilized RNA molecules and were able to create channels across membranes. In the modern cell, DNA replaced RNA as the main depositor of genetic information and proteins carry out almost all metabolic reactions. However, RNA is still playing versatile, crucial roles in the cell. Apart from its classical functions in the cell, a huge small RNA world is controlling gene expression, chromatin condensation, response to environmental cues, and protecting the cell against the invasion of various nucleic acids forms. Long non-coding RNAs act as crucial gene expression regulators. Riboswitches act at the level of transcription, splicing or translation and mediate feedback regulation on biosynthesis and transport of the ligand they sense. Alternative splicing generates genetic variability and increases the protein repertoire in response to developmental or environmental changes. All these regulatory functions are essential in shaping cell plasticity in the changing milieu. Recent discoveries of new, unexpected and important functions of RNA molecules support the hypothesis that we live in a New RNA World.

The biggest threats to contemporary economic order were chronologically the bipolarity of the world after 1945, in which one of the poles despised money and the other based its prosperity on money. An attempt to create a unipolar world already dominated by the US dollar, practically was hardly acceptable. The US showed its strength when Japan in 1995 became a pretender to be No. 1 in the global economy. Also in 2008, American banks triggered a global financial crisis by creating bubbles of toxic real estate loans. The 2008 financial crisis also started a crisis of liberal democracy. China was much more powerful than Japan as the next pretender to become No. 1 in the global economy. About it can be seen as the beginning of a global conflict between the United States and China. In addition, the coronavirus pandemic has stopped globalization and is causing a global crisis.

The aim of our research is to examine how individual dimensions of globalization affect economic poverty in the World. For this, regression models are estimated with FGT0 or FGT1 poverty measures as dependent variables and KOF indices of globalization as dependent variables. The poverty indices are estimated for 119 countries’ income distributions assuming log-normality and using Gini estimates from the WID2 database and GDP/capita from The World Bank database for the years 1990-2005. It has turned out that the “partial” impact of selected dimension of globalization on poverty is either linear or nonlinear, ceteris paribus. The nonlinear impact is of the U-shaped form or the inverted U-shaped form. Our results contradict some typical ‘linear’ findings when poverty measures are regressed only on one dimension of globalization. In other words, when some crucial dimensions of globalization are neglected in regression analysis the conclusions about impact of globalization on world poverty could be misleading.

It compares and contrasts the association between World Literature and Comparative Literature to that between International American Studies and the American Studies movement emerging out of the United States. It goes on to argue that World Literature is anchored to a universalist teleology, one linked historically to an idealist intellectual genealogy. By contrast, International American Studies involves a more materialist, multidirectional emphasis that differentiates it from the U.S. appropriation of globalization to further its own strategic interests. Opis:
Since its inception, International American Studies (IAS) had to define itself against the larger backdrop of global or world studies. However, as Paul Giles notes in his contribution to this special issue of RIAS marking the 10th anniversary of the journal and devoted to “International American Studies and the Question of World literature,” “World Literature in its current institutional manifestation is a much more recent phenomenon” than IAS, and may have “accumulated academic prestige more rapidly and securely than International American Studies has so far managed.”  Whatever their different temporal and institutional trajectories, however, both IAS and World literature may be seen as efforts to come to terms with the momentous historical, political, social, and technological changes of the past few decades. Put simply, both can be considered attempts to fashion new epistemological tools better suited to making sense of a globalized world, so that, no matter how (relatively?) different their objects of study might be, a set of theoretical concerns would appear to be shared by both fields. Both students of IAS and World Literature, for example, need to venture beyond the traditional categories of the nation and of national cultures, by coming to terms with the social, historical, and linguistic complexities that such a move entails. Both have to do so in a way that “opens” one’s field and yet preserves its raison d’être, especially at a time when the humanities are under attack and the defense of academic positions and credentials-all calls for “interdisciplinarity” notwithstanding-is of paramount importance. Both need to rethink the parameters of their disciplinary specializations, that is, without pulling the institutional rugs from under their feet-a precarious balancing act which, in the age of the corporate university, with its rage for classifying, evaluating, and ranking, is far from easy to perform.

The article makes use of Lisbeth Klastrup and Susana Tosca’s notion of transmedial world which has not been introduced to Polish humanities so far. The notion serves here to describe the characteristics of the Witcher universe encompassing books, movies, TV series, video games trilogy, role-playing games and comics. The analysis of the Witcher’s world is also the point of departure for a comparative study between the way the transmedial world is constructed and transmedial story as described in Henry Jenkins’s Convergence Culture. Additionally, it enables the author to comment upon the narrative dynamics of fantasy worldbuilding which differs considerably from traditional mechanisms of representation.

Objectives: The aim of this article is to identify the main weaknesses in Poland in combating corruption in the context of the World Bank’s experiences. Research Design & Methods: Various notions of corruption will be presented. This article will also indicate the most important conclusions from a number of previous scientific studies in the field of corruption conducted under the aegis of the World Bank. Findings: Reducing motivation to accept or provide undue benefits is directly related to an increased effectiveness in detecting corruption. The World Bank also points out that one of the most effective tools in fighting corruption is counteracting the legalisation of benefits obtained through corrupt activities. Contribution: In the Polish perspective, a positive correlation between a weaker, less operational state apparatus and the frequency of corruption will be shown.
