The article aims to showcase Polish Roman Catholic Bishop Kazimierz Romaniuk as an academic, biblical scholar, one of the translators of the Millennium Bible and the sole translator of the Warsaw–Praga Bible. He authored numerous monographs, academic studies and other writings devoted to biblical topics and lectured at the Catholic University of Lublin, the Academy of Catholic Theology, the Pontifical Faculty of Theology and the Metropolitan Higher Theological Seminary in Warsaw, of which he became the rector. The study focuses on the course of the scholar’s education and career as well as his academic achievements and significance in the 20th-century Catholic biblical studies in Poland and the international biblical criticism.

Opis:
Zinc oxide films were grown on sapphire substrates by direct current magnetron sputtering and irradiated by electrons with energy 10 MeV and fluences $10^{16}$ and $2 \times 10^{16} cm^{-2}$. As-grown and irradiated samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence spectroscopy. It was found that radiation causes the appearance of complex defects, reducing the size of coherent scattering regions and the increase of the defect PL band.

Certains principes méthodologiques du Problème „Jésus der Geschichte und Christus des Glaubens” constituent le thème principal de cette étude. Après quelques remarques d’introduction sur l’évangiles comme source unique de tout ce que nous pouvons savoir de Jésus, apres avoir discemé trois périodes dans le temps de 1’activité terrestre de Jésus enseignant par ses paroles et par ses actes, on constate plusieures deformations ainsi des paroles que des actes du Christ Sauveur. On dresse, en fin, une liste des regles qui peuvent aider à degager les ipsissima verba et les ureigene Taten du Signeur.

II s’agit dans cette étude de faire ressortir la position tout à fait exceptionnelle de la Bible dans les écrits des Peres de l’Eglise. La théologie patristique n’est, en effet, qu’un spécifique exposé du contenu de la Bible. Outre la théologie les Pères de l’Eglise cultivaient disciplines correspondant aux correspondant aux différentes branches des études bibliques d’aujourd’hui. C’est ainsi qu’Origène, par exemple, est considéré comme père de la critique textuelle et beaucoup d’autres ont contribué sensiblement à l’herméneutique biblique. L a tàche principale consistait cependant à trouver le sens exact de la parole divine. C’est dans ce but que l’on traduisait de façon bien variée la Bible; que l’on menait les études sur l’harmonie de deux Testaments, sur les allégories et sur la typologie. Les écoles catéchético-exégétiques fleurissant à A lexandrie, à Antioche et à Césarée donnent un excellent témoignage du niveau des études bibliques aux temps des Pères de l’Eglise. Les sciences bibliques modernes doivent beaucoup à la science biblique patristique. On le voit tout d’abord dans la critique textuelle. La Bible, citée par les Pères, révèle, en effet, les premières etapes, peu connues, de l’histoire du texte biblique. Les interprétations, même les plus récentes, des certains passages bibliques s’appuient bien de fois sur l’exégèse patristique. La théologie biblique, en fin, doit beaucoup, elle aussi, à la typologie et à l’exégèse allégorique des Peres.

The paper presents the results of research on the level of self-esteem of participants of high seas cruises that implement the idea of sail training and are a non-standard form of informal education. The study involved 124 people, including 65 girls and 59 boys aged 13 to 18 years old, who can be considered as youth with special educational needs. They were participants of the Krzysztof Baranowski School Under Sails in 2015 and 2016, the cruise of the 42nd General Secondary School in Warsaw in 2016 and the Catholic School Under Sails in 2017. The results show a statistically significant increase in the level of self-esteem measured with the SES scale. The level of self-esteem of participants after the cruise is significantly higher than that of their peers from standardisation groups. It can be assumed that various types of Schools Under Sails are an attractive way to educate young people.

Budowa instalacji biogazowych przetwarzających odpady rolnicze jest ważna ze względu na możliwość redukcji odpadów oraz emisji gazów i odorów na terenach wiejskich. Rolnictwo intensywne stwarza liczne zagrożenia dla środowiska. Należą do nich erozja i wyjałowienie gleb, skażenie wód gruntowych i powierzchniowych związkami biogennymi i pestycydami, zmniejszenie bioróżnorodności oraz naruszenie równowagi ekologicznej ekosystemów. Nieprawidłowe przechowywanie gnojowicy, które jest powszechne w warunkach polskich, jak i niewłaściwe jej wykorzystanie rolnicze przyczynią się do skażenia wód powierzchniowych i gruntowych związkami azotu i fosforu oraz organizmami chorobotwórczymi.
Rational management of agricultural wastes based on their proper removal from the livestock buildings, storage and afterwards utilization are of particular importance for natural environment protection. Inappropriate storage and management of liquid and solid manure are the main reason of ground waters contamination. Very often the piles of dung are situated on permeable bedrock soil, from where the drained liquid penetrates into ground waters or to nearest water-courses. Presented analysis may be useful at designing and construction of the liquid manure tanks or dung pits according to the standard requirements, and it is expected to enable the proper exploitation of these facilities as well. Special attention was paid to the methods of manure treatment by methane and aerobic fermentation.

Splenic cysts are rare disease that are diagnosed incidentally during imaging studies. In recent years, through the development of diagnostic methods the detection of their are increased, although documented and described in the literature of cases is still low. The disease can be asymptomatic - this concerns mainly small cysts, but greater changes cause unspecific symptoms resulting from oppression of enlarged spleen on adjacent organs. Due to the etiology of cysts, they are divided into primordial and false. Primordial cysts have an epithelial lining which distinguishes them from false and they are divided into parasitic and nonparasitic. Because of the possibility of complications cysts usually treated surgically, with the aim to preserve the splenic parenchyma. We present a case of a 28-year-old woman who has revealed the presence of epidermal cysts of the spleen

Excavations in the main courtyard of the “Hellenistic” House in Nea Paphos in 2016, Polish excavations, revealed a small circular pool with immured tops of Dressel 6A amphorae in the wall surrounding it and a circular imprint in the middle of the floor. The paper undertakes a discussion of possible form and function, putting forward a tentative interpretation based on a study of parallels that we are dealing with an ornamental pool, a popular furnishing of wealthy Roman house gardens, functioning perhaps as a fishpond (piscina) or a tank with water constantly running in and out, with a labrum or columnar pedestal standing in the middle.

This article presents a detailed history of the development of a particular immersion program to teach English to young Polish students. The program draws support from two organizations, the Kościuszko Foundation and the Polish Scouting Organization. Kościuszko Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the ties between the United States and Poland as well as to increase knowledge of Poland’s history and culture in the United States. The cooperation of these two organizations developed an experience of immersion in language and cultural exchange. Both the teachers and the students in this program benefited from the opportunity to engage in a number of different types of language activities and cultural events through a summer camp experience. This program is, of course, unique, but the elements of context, culture and immersion could be used in other programs to develop English skills and knowledge in the context American culture.

Currently, the Republic of Kazakhstan is developing a new standard for symmetric data encryption. One of the candidates for the role of the standard is the Qamal encryption algorithm developed by the Institute of Information and Computer Technologies (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan). The article describes the algorithm. Differential properties of the main operations that make up the Qamal cypher are considered in the questions of stability. We have shown that for a version with a 128-bit data block and the same secret key size for three rounds of encryption it is difficult to find the right pairs of texts with a probability of 2–120, which makes differential cryptanalysis not applicable to the Qamal cypher.

The ILC is an immense e+e- machine planned since 2004 by a large international collaboration, to be potentially built in Japan [1]. The gigantic size of the whole research infrastructure, the involved human, technical and financial resources, and the pressure of new emerging and potentially soon to be competitive accelerator technologies, make the final building decision quite difficult. A vivid debate is carried on this subject globally by involved accelerator research communities. The European voice is very strong and important in this debate, and has recently been essentially refreshed by clear statements in a few official documents [2]. The final HEP European Strategy Document is just under preparation. This paper is a very modest and subjective voice in this debate originating from Poland, which around 50 researchers are present at the list of 2400 signatories for the original ILC TDR document published in 2013 [3].

In this paper the problem of European option valuation in a Levy process setting is analysed. In our model the underlying asset follows a geometric Levy process. The jump part of the log-price process, which is a linear combination of Poisson processes, describes upward and downward jumps in price. The proposed pricing method is based on stochastic analysis and the theory of fuzzy sets.We assume that some parameters of the financial instrument cannot be precisely described and therefore they are introduced to the model as fuzzy numbers. Application of fuzzy arithmetic enables us to consider various sources of uncertainty, not only the stochastic one. To obtain the European call option pricing formula we use the minimal entropy martingale measure and Levy characteristics.

W pracy przedstawiono rezultaty badań obór wolnostanowiskowych dla krów mlecznych. Są to obory o wysokim poziomie mechanizacji, a także zapewniające odpowiednie, zgodne z wymaganiami warunki dobrostanu zwierząt. Badania szczegółowe wykazały jednak wiele usterek zarówno technologicznych, jak i budowlanych, które po zidentyfikowaniu umożliwią doskonalenie dalszych prac projektowych.
Paper presents the investigation results of the free-stall cattle barns for dairy cows. The tested barn buildings are characterized by high mechanization level, they also ensure suit-able conditions in accordance with the requirements of animal welfare. However, detailed inspection showed a number of defects both, the technological and constructional ones. Their identification enables improving further designing and construction activities.

Author analyses the use of new technologies by the pedagogy students from the generation of digital natives focusing on using the functions of mobile electronic devices and basic functions of Internet. Data has been collected with Google Forms. They allow to collect the data very quick, to see the responses immediately and to export the data to a spreadsheet. The aim of the study is to determine the level of student’s competence on the chosen field of information technology. Research shows that students have lower skills than they declare. Author advocates that this situation needs to be improved.

This article discusses four fields of study with the potential to revolutionize our understanding and interaction with biological systems: quantum biophotonics, molecular and supramolecular bioelectronics, quantum-based approaches in gaming, and nano-biophotonics. Quantum biophotonics uses photonics, biochemistry, biophysics, and quantum information technologies to study biological systems at the sub-nanoscale level. Molecular and supramolecular bioelectronics aim to develop biosensors for medical diagnosis, environmental monitoring, and food safety by designing materials and devices that interface with biological systems at the molecular level. Quantum-based approaches in gaming improve modeling of complex systems, while nanomedicine enhances disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention using nanoscale devices and sensors developed with quantum biophotonics. Lastly, nano-biophotonics studies cellular structures and functions with unprecedented resolution.

In the paper implementation of a ground control station for UAV flight simulator is shown. The ground control station software is in cooperation with flight simulator, displaying various aircraft flight parameters. The software is programmed in C++ language and utilizes the windows forms for implementing graphical content. One of the main aims of the design of the application was to simplify the interface, simultaneously maintaining the functionality and the eligibility. A mission can be planned and monitored using the implemented map control supported by waypoint list.

INTRODUCTION The article presents the process of forming positions of the two groups that have experienced a change in distribution of interest, due to health reforms in 1999 and 2003. It also tries to prove the thesis that the change direction distribution of profits as a result of the reform occurred in 1999, could be one of the main factors determining the shape and course of further reform, implemented in 2003. One of the main points of reference for consideration is the problem of corruption as one of the channels distribution of financial benefits in a particular institutional environment. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study was carried out based on a systematic review of source materials relating to the corruption problem in the health care, as well as the analysis of press reports on the basis of the two largest newspapers in Poland. Evolution of the positions of interest groups was analyzed using the method of political mapping. RESULTS Medical doctors are perceived by the public as one of the most corrupted professional groups in Poland. This phenomenon is often concerned in relation to hospital department coordinators, and famous clinical professionals. Changing the model of financing health care in 1999 represented a potential threat to the informal system which provided additional profits to this group. At the same time the reform allowed to clearly improve the financial situation of family doctors, because of the capitation method of financing these services, and the enhancement of contracts signed with private practices. Those processes caused to institutionalize the two interest groups that found an outlet in a second reformatory process in 2003. CONCLUSIONS Stopping of reform processes in the first decade of the period transformation, as well as the reversal of the reform process in 2003 must be regarded as consistent with the interests of the clinicians at risk of losing the benefits derived from informal fees and revenue-making for crystallizing new group of family doctors. There likely to stimulate the shape of the reform project implemented in 2003 years the interests of the game focusing on the benefits of the informal way of fees.
WSTĘP Artykuł jest przedstawieniem procesu kształtowania się stanowisk dwóch grup, które doświadczyły zmiany dystrybucji interesu wskutek reform zdrowotnych 1999 i 2003 roku. Próbuje także udowodnić tezę, iż zmiana kierunku dystrybucji profitów zaistniała wskutek reformy 1999 roku mogła być jednym z głównych czynników decydujących o kształcie i przebiegu kolejnej reformy, wdrożonej w 2003 r. Jednym z głównych punktów odniesienia dla rozważań jest problem korupcji jako jednego z kanałów dystrybucji korzyści finansowych w określonym otoczeniu instytucjonalnym. MATERIAŁ I METODA Badanie zrealizowano w oparciu o systematyczny przegląd materiałów źródłowych dotyczących problemu korupcji w ochronie zdrowia oraz analizę doniesień prasowych na podstawie dwóch największych dzienników w Polsce. Kształtowanie się stanowisk grup interesu przeanalizowano przy użyciu metody mapowania politycznego. WYNIKI Lekarze są przez opinię publiczną postrzegani jako jedna z najbardziej skorumpowanych grup zawodowych w Polsce. Zjawisko często dotyczy ordynatorów szpitalnych oddziałów oraz znanych specjalistów klinicznych. Zmiana modelu finansowania ochrony zdrowia wskutek reformy 1999 roku stanowiła potencjalne zagrożenie dla nieformalnego systemu, który grupie tej dostarczał dodatkowych profitów. Jednocześnie reforma pozwoliła wyraźnie poprawić sytuację finansową lekarzy rodzinnych, z uwagi na kapitacyjną metodę finansowania tych świadczeń oraz upowszechnienie się prywatnych praktyk kontaktowanych przez publicznego płatnika. Doszło tym samym do instytucjonalizacji dwóch grup interesu, których próba sił znalazła ujście w drugim procesie reformatorskim w roku 2003. WNIOSKI Wstrzymywanie procesów reformatorskich w pierwszej dekadzie okresu transformacji, jak również odwrócenie procesu reform w 2003 roku należy traktować jako zbieżne z interesem grupy klinicystów zagrożonych utratą korzyści czerpanych z opłat nieformalnych i wpływów decyzyjnych na rzecz nowo krystalizującej się grupy lekarzy rodzinnych. Istnieje prawdopodobieństwo stymulowania kształtu projektu reformy wdrożonej w 2003 roku grą interesów skupiających się wokół korzyści uzyskiwanych w drodze opłat nieformalnych.

The article is a sort of advanced publication workshop prepared by a group of M.Sc. students in ICT participating in the course on QIT. The idea behind the publishing exercise is to try to link, if possible, individual own work just under realization for the thesis with new unique possibilities offered by the QIT. Each chapter is written by a single author defining concisely her/his research interest in the classical ICT field and trying to find possible correlations with respective abruptly developing branches of the QIT. The chapter texts are somehow moderated by the tutor but are exclusively authored by young researchers. The aim was to present their views on the possible development directions of particular subfields of QIT, if not fully mature, but still based on their own ideas, research and dreams.
