Almost all languages employ various structures expressing possession. Linguists recognise the rich variety of them. However, from the most general perspective, these structures can be divided into two groups, namely predicative and attributive ones. This division depends on syntactic structures used to express the relation discussed. The main types and subtypes of the realisation of the phenomenon so omnipresent in human categorisation as the relation of possession are presented and illustrated by a number of languages spoken all over the world.

Posiadanie jest dziś podstawową kategorią prawa rolnego. Celem artykułu jest próba scharakteryzowania przedmiotu (punktu odniesienia) posiadania rolnego, a pośrednio ukazanie specyfiki instytucji posiadania w stosunkach rolniczych. Temat rolnego posiadania wydaje się szczególny, w regulacjach rolniczych i prawnych jest definiowany inaczej niż w tradycyjnym, cywilistycznym ujęciu. Konstrukcje cywilne, choć mogą być pomocne w określeniu przedmiotu posiadania rolnego, nie zawsze są wystarczające, gdyż nie są zbyt elastyczne. Dzięki swojej dynamice posiadanie wyraża się w rozwoju tradycyjnego przedmiotu posiadania
Today, possession is the basic category of agricultural law. The purpose of this article is to attempt to characterize the object (reference point) of agricultural ownership, and indirectly to show the specific features of the institution of ownership in agricultural relations. The subject of agricultural ownership seems special, in agricultural and legal regulation sit is defined in a different way from the traditional, civilist approach. Civilian constructions, although they may be helpful in determining the subject of agricultural ownership, are not always sufficient, as they are not very flexible. Owing to its dynamics, possession is expressed in the development of a traditional object of possession.

Possession in agricultural relations has various functions. The change in the regulations on acquisitive prescription of agricultural real estate provokes questions asm to fulfillment by having its functions. In particular, the question arises whether the possession function as a proof of ownership still exists, which is ensured by the institution of prescription. Nowadays, the legislation undermines the role of property law by referring to possession. This means that possession is not empty but it functions, and ownership becomes abstract. Nowadays, the laws create the protective function of agricultural possession.

The work Wzór i wizerunek [...] dziwnej świątobliwości [...] Zofii z Tylic Tomickiej [The Paragon and Image o f the Strange Holiness o f Zofia Tomicka o f Tylice] written by a Jesuit Stanisław Brzechwa (1588-1649) and published in 1634 is a unique biography not only in old Polish literature. The heroine is a wealthy noblewoman who lived in the years 1595-1633 and she is portrayed as a charismatic Catholic and at the same time one possessed by the devil. Tomicka herself as well as her biographer saw in this possession a paradoxical grace of God and a most efficient way of expiation for sins - a very rare case in the history of Christian spirituality. It seems comparable only with the history of a Frenchwoman Marie des Vallées (1590-1656), the protege of Jean Eudes (1601-1680), a well known saint and author of her two biographies, hitherto unpublished. In reflection on such cases it seems appropriate to employ a theologically controversial concept of expiatory possession, which gained popularity much later on in the wake of interest in the life and death of a German woman Anneliese Michel (1952-1976). The 17,h century Jesuit Stanisław Brzechwa was well aware o f the controversial nature of his work which bordered on hagiography. Being convinced about the authenticity of Tomicka’s experiences he nevertheless acknowledged their hybridity and ultimate unverifiability, deciding in some measure to step outside the paradigm of dogmatic theology and his own Church.

In this paper we discuss the alienability splits in two Mainland Scandinavian languages, Swedish and Danish, in a diachronic context. Although it is not universally acknowledged that such splits exist in modern Scandinavian languages, many nouns typically included in inalienable structures such as kinship terms, body part nouns and nouns describing culturally important items show different behaviour from those considered alienable. The differences involve the use of (reflexive) possessive pronouns vs. the definite article, which differentiates the Scandinavian languages from e.g. English. As the definite article is a relatively new arrival in the Scandinavian languages, we look at when the modern pattern could have evolved by a close examination of possessive structures with potential inalienables in Old Swedish and Old Danish. Our results reveal that to begin with, inalienables are usually bare nouns and come to be marked with the definite article in the course of its grammaticalization.

Przedstawiono wyposażenie wybranych gospodarstw ekologicznych w ciągniki rolnicze. Stwierdzono, że większość gospodarstw ekologicznych (70,8%) jest wyposażona w ciągniki rolnicze, przy czym w grupie obszarowej do 10 ha posiada je 40% gospodarstw a powyżej 20 ha - 100%. Przeciętna moc ciągnika w gospodarstwie wzrasta w miarę zwiększania się areału od 35,3 kW w gospodarstwach do 10 ha do 54,6 kW w gospodarstwach powyżej 50 ha, natomiast ich moc wyrażona w kWoha-1 UR sukcesywnie maleje odpowiednio od 8,27 kWxha-1 UR do 1,3 kWxha-1 UR.
The paper presents possession of farm tractors in selected ecological farms. It has been found that majority of ecological farms (70,8%) are equipped with farm tractors, that is 40% of farms in land area group up to 10 ha and 100% of farms larger than 20 ha possess them. Average tractor horsepower in a farm increases with growing land area from 35.3 kW in farms up to 10 ha to 54.6 kW in farms larger than 50 ha, whereas their horsepower expressed in kWxha-1 of arable land successively decreases from 8.27 kWxha-1 of arable land to 1.3 kWźha-1 of arable land, respectively.

Bardzo rzadkie są przypadki, kiedy święci mają doświadczenie opętania. Jeszcze rzadziej są one pisemnie dokumentowane. Oczywiście istnieją świadectwa o tym, że święci byli gwałtownie atakowani przez demona, ale bardzo niewiele mówi się o przypadkach opętania czy zniewolenia. Istnieje bogata dokumentacja dwóch przypadków osób ogłoszonych świętymi – chodzi o dwie karmelitanki: św. Marię Magdalenę de’ Pazzi (1566-1607) i św. Marię Baouardy (1846-1878), „Małą Arabkę”. Przykład świętych, którzy byli za życia czasowo opętani, tworzy bogate źródło bardzo ważnych i praktycznych informacji na temat mocy Bożej i roli szatana w ekonomii zbawienia człowieka. Informacje te mogą pomóc w refleksji teologicznej oraz samym egzorcystom, a także – jako pocieszenie – dla wszystkich, którzy podobnych stanów doświadczają. Święci, opętani przez demona, uczą nas jak i dlaczego tak się dzieje, jak również świadczą, że ponad wszystkim jest miłosierny i pełen mocy Bóg, który ocala człowieka.
Very rare are the saints experiencing possession. Even less often they are documented in writing. Of course, there are testimonies that the Saints were violently attacked by a demon, but very little is said about cases of possession or enslavement. There is extensive documentation of two cases of people proclaimed saints – two Carmelite nuns: Saint. Maria Magdalena de ’Pazzi (1566-1607) and Saint. Maria Baouardy (1846-1878), “Little Arab Woman”. The example of the Saints who were temporarily possessed during their lives creates a rich source of very important and practical information about God’s power and the role of Satan in the economy of human salvation. This information can talk to the theological reflection and to the exorcists themselves, and also – as a consolation – for all who experience similar states. Saints possessed by a demon teach us how and why this happens, as well as testify that above all there is a merciful and powerful God who saves man.

The article contains an analysis of premises of acquiring uniform direct payments, with special emphasis on the regulations concerning the demand for possessing agricultural lands (covered by the motion for the admission of payment). The aim of the authors’ deliberations is to determine what meanings the notion „possession” is used in the regulations. The legislator of these regulations does not define the term „possession”, referring instead to the definition contained in the civil code. Yet, to satisfy the demand for possessing agricultural lands, additional premises are to be fulfilled. Legal regulations concerning payments introduce a kind of a qualified possession consisting in actual agricultural usage of lands. The article points to some terminological problems on the private–public law border, reflected in judicial decisions. Legal character of payments indicates that direct payments belong to a public–legal sphere, whereas the legislator uses private law notions to define premises of acquiring the right to them.

Walerian Pańko, who originated from the Professor Andrzej Stelmachowski school of agricultural law as his first promoted doctor, developed an innovative concept of understanding ownership as a presumption of general competence to use and dispose of real property. In his work entitled O prawie własności i jego współczesnych funkcjach (Ownership Right and Its Contemporary Functions, Katowice 1984), he stated, that “[…] the crux of ownership right is most simply – and most fully – expressed as the idea of presumed competence”. In his monograph Dzierżawa gruntów rolnych (Agricultural Land Tenure, Warsaw 1975), W. Pańko discussed the problem of “proprietary” protection of the possessor within the context of tenure, stating openly that the process of expansion of possessory protection is an outcome of the crisis of ownership rights. Walerian Pańko has put forward a thesis of pivotal significance for the values protected by the law, that “the strength of ownership right lays in the sensation of real stability, certainty and continuity of law. In protecting the basic value of ownership right, we are not protecting egoistic monopoly, but rather the presumption of exclusivity of the owner”.

A lot of clinicians share a belief about strong split between the reality of faith and psychical sphere in a clinical concept. Introduced by ICD-10 diagnostic category trans and spirit possession significantly emphasizes the existence of such a split. In the article the author characters applied diagnostic criteria of spirit possession, presents psychopathologic characteristics of the phenomenon based on literature data and attempts to discuss on possible relations between ecclesiastics and psychotherapists. He points to the value of dialog in the interest of a patient welfare as well as to the closeness of helping nature in spite of existing ontological differences between religion and psychiatry as well as psychology.

Prawo własności jest najważniejszym prawem rzeczowym. Jest ono fundamentem prawidłowo funkcjonującego społeczeństwa oraz zrównoważonej gospodarki. Obowiązujące przepisy w szczegółowy sposób opisują rolę właściciela w trakcie realizacji procesów geodezyjno-prawnych i postępowań administracyjnych związanych z nieruchomościami. Sytuacja komplikuje się w przypadku gruntów o nieuregulowanym stanie prawnym. Gdy nie jest możliwe ustalenie właściciela nieruchomości, wówczas w ewidencji wykazuje się dane osób i jednostek organizacyjnych, które tymi gruntami władają na zasadach samoistnego posiadania. Posiadacz samoistny faktycznie włada nieruchomością jak właściciel, jednak jego rola w postępowaniach administracyjnych takich jak rozgraniczenie nieruchomości, czy też w procesach geodezyjno-prawnych nie jest jednoznaczna. Artykuł ma na celu scharakteryzowanie osoby posiadacza samoistnego oraz określenie roli jaką przyjmuje on m.in. przy ustaleniu przebiegu granic, rozgraniczeniu nieruchomości, wznowieniu znaków granicznych czy scaleniu i wymianie gruntów. Przedmiotem badań będą prawa i obowiązki posiadacza samoistnego. Wskazane zostaną możliwe rozwiązania legislacyjne, pozwalające na sprawne i skuteczne przeprowadzenie analizowanych procedur i postępowań, a zarazem zapewniające poszanowanie praw do nieruchomości.
Ownership is the most important property law. It constitutes the foundation of rightly functioning society and sustainable economy. The role of owner in legal surveying processes and administrative proceedings related to real estate is specifi cally described in the law. The situation is more complicated in case of grounds with unsettled legal status. When it is impossible to determine the owner of real estate in the cadastre the data of people and organization units who rule these grounds based on principles of self-existent ownership are revealed. The self-existent owner rules the real estate as owner, but his role in an administrative proceedings like real estate delimitation as well as in legal surveying processes is not unambiguous. The goal of this article is the characterization of self-existent owner person and evaluation of his role during among others: determination of parcel boundaries, real estate delimitation, recovery of boundary marks or consolidation and exchange of lands. The rights and duties of self-existent owner are the main subject of the research. Possible legal solutions both: allowing effi cient and effective performing of analysed procedures and proceedings as well as ensuring respect for property rights are also indicated and discussed.

Autor analizuje film Andrzeja Żuławskiego Opętanie (Possession, 1981) w kontekście pojęcia fantazmatu oraz psychologii głębi Carla Gustawa Junga oraz jego uczniów, Ericha Neumanna i Jamesa Hillmana, a także powiązań z gnozą. W pierwszej części artykułu została przedstawiona filozoficzna i psychoanalityczna genealogia pojęć fantazmatu i fantazji. Druga część wyjaśnia filmowe odniesienia do naczelnych koncepcji Junga. W trzeciej części autor wskazuje na ambiwalentny charakter obrazów Opętania odsyłających do psychologii archetypowej Hillmana. Inspiracje tymi koncepcjami ujawniają się w filmie Żuławskiego w powiązaniu problemu nieświadomości indywidualnej i zbiorowej, w wizerunku zła jako siły realnej, w „numinalnym”, czyli swoiście religijnym charakterze doświadczeń bohaterów, w tendencji do ujmowania tych problemów w sposób obrazowy, a także – ogólniej – w kreowaniu przez reżysera fikcji wyobrażeniowej, fantastycznej narracji traktowanej jako gra, spektakl, „lustra” indywidualnych i zbiorowych przeżyć psychicznych mających grunt archetypowy.
The author analyses Andrzej Żuławski’s film Possession (1981) in the context of the notion of the phantasm, as well as the connections with the depth psychology of Carl Gustav Jung and his followers: Erich Neumann and James Hillman. The first part of the article presents the philosophical and psychoanalytic genealogy of the notions of phantasm and fantasy. The second part explains film references to Jung’s principal ideas. In the third part, the author indicates the ambivalence of film images from Possession, which can be associated with J. Hillman’s archetypal psychology. Andrzej Żuławski’s inspirations by Jung’s depth psychology are expressed in the film through the themes of individual and collective unconsciousness, the image of “evil” as a real force in the “numinal” – that is, in a sense, religious – nature of the protagonists’ experiences and, ultimately, the tendency to think and grasp these problems in a pictorial way, as well as – more generally – in the imaginary fiction created by the director, which is a fantasy narration treated as a play, a show, as “mirrors” of individual and collective mental experiences, possibly based on archetypes.

In this article, we aim to analyse the representations of the First World War as a cultural trauma in three works of fiction classified as belonging to the “néofantastique” convention, which, according to Jean-Pierre Andrevon, summarises “our fears and uncertainties”. We intend to demonstrate that in La scie patriotique (1997), by Nicole Caligaris, La vigie (1998) and by Thierry Jonquet, Cris (2001) by Laurent Gaudé, the Great War is approached either explicitly or metaphorically, yet at the same time indicative of the phenomena of spectre and abjection.
