In the present paper, we define a notion of an m2-topological space by introducing a count of openness of a multiset (mset in short) and study the properties of m2-subspaces, mgp-maps etc. Decomposition theorems involving m-topologies and m2-topologies are established. The behaviour of the functional image and functional preimage of an m2-topologies, the continuity of the identity mapping and a constant mapping in m2-topologies are also examined.

Opis:
In the article we propose a multi-parameter approximation model, based on Markov chain Monte Carlo, which describes the relationship between the temperature regime, operating conditions and electromechanical parameters of marine diesel generator sets. The approximation model is constructed on the basis of the analysis of experimental data of the exhaust gases temperature of marine diesel generator sets in their long-term operation. As a statistical model of random processes of temperature deviations from the approximation model, a Markov process model is proposed that takes into account the possible correlation of the initial data. Since the measuring channels of modern diagnostic systems are digital, due to discretization in time and level, the studied processes form a Markov chain, which makes it possible to establish the important features of such processes. The use of approximation models ensures the stationarity conditions and the correctness of the proposed Markov model in the conditions of multi-mode operation of marine diesel generator sets. The proposed multi-parameter approximation model, based on Markov chain Monte Carlo, allows you to take into account random perturbations that lead to a random change in the output coordinates of the diagnostic object. The proposed improvement of the model makes it possible to ensure its adequacy to real processes of changing the parameters of the temperature regimes of marine diesel generator sets. The proposed multi-parameter approximation model, based on Markov chain Monte Carlo, can be used in the systems of technical diagnostics of marine diesel generator sets in order to increase the reliability of diagnostic conclusions.

This paper describes an approach to multi-criteria evaluation of project variants based on the fuzzy set theory. The multi-criteria evaluation based on the criteria proposed by experts or decision-makers in the planning phase, during which it is critical to document the tasks to be completed in a project schedule. Fuzzy sets theory transforms criterion indicators into variants fuzzy partial evaluations by means of transformation functions. The method facilitates comparison of different values by transformation to the fuzzy numbers from the range of „´0, 1„Ä.The presented approach offers support for the decision makers in making various kinds of decisions, in all situations when we may determine an evaluation criteria set. Moreover, it takes into consideration versatility of criteria, their hierarchy and expertsˇŚ uncertainty; at the same time it is efficient and quite simple to be implemented in real decision problems.

In this paper, by defining a pair of classical sets as a relative set, an extension of the classical set algebra which is a counterpart of Belnap's four-valued logic is achieved. Every relative set partitions all objects into four distinct regions corresponding to four truth-values of Belnap's logic. Like truth-values of Belnap's logic, relative sets have two orderings; one is an order of inclusion and the other is an order of knowledge or information. By defining a rough set as a pair of definable sets, an integrated approach to relative sets and rough sets is obtained. With this definition, we are able to define an approximation of a rough set in an approximation space, and so we can obtain sequential approximations of a set, which is a good model of communication among agents.

The increase of energy efficiency in autonomous marine generating sets improves the overall efficiency of the ship’s propulsion. One of the methods to increase the efficiency of generating sets is the use of synchronous machines with permanent magnets in sets as generators (PMSG). The use of PMSG in connected with the need to install power converters in order to maintain constant parameters of the supply voltage and the possibility of reactive power’s distribution between generating sets that work in parallel. The article presents the possibility of using transformer multi-level inverters in parallel operation of marine generating sets with PMSG. On the basis of the results of simulation tests, the theoretical assumptions for the possibilities of active and passive power adjustment in the parallel operation of generating sets were confirmed.

This paper uses the notion of relative sets in relation to fuzzy set theory to provide a mathematical framework to analyze communication among agents. Each relative set partitions all objects into four distinct regions corresponding to four truth-values of Belnap’s logic. Two orderings on relative sets are considered; one is an extension of the classical set inclusion ordering while the other is a new ordering of knowledge or information. According to these orderings, we can divide set theoretic problems into two major categories: reasoning problems and communicating problems. In the first category, an agent tries to extract a sound decision through granular reasoning. In this case, a granule represents a concept or a word. In the second category, each granule relates to an agent, and the problem is to compare agents’ knowledge about concepts by their related granules, e.g. a knowledge reduction problem. Then, we concentrate on the second category of problems and try to investigate this kind of problems in the context of fuzzy set theory. In this way, we could provide a basis for modeling and analyzing the relations among machines, which could communicate with each other using words and granules.

When dealing with multi-criteria decision making problems, the concept of Pareto-optimality and Pareto-dominance may be inefficient (e.g. generally multiple solutions exist), especially when there is a large number of criteria. Our paper considers the fuzzy multi-criteria decision making problem based on Zadeh’s linguistic approach to P-optimality and P-dominance. The construction, analysis and application of a model of multi-criteria decision making using a fuzzy preference relation are considered. The paper is dedicated to the problem of modeling preferences in terms of fuzzy binary relations and provides an introduction to the important problem of forming fuzzy preference relations to analyze models of multi-attribute decision making. The key features of the multi-criteria evaluation, comparison, choice and ordering of alternatives in a fuzzy environment using fuzzy preference relations have been introduced.

The paper addresses the problem of analysing information tables which contain objects described by both attributes and criteria, i.e. attributes with preference-ordered scales. The objects contained in those tables, representing exemplary decisions made by a decision maker or a domain expert, are usually classified into one of several classes that are also often preference-ordered. Analysis of such data using the classic rough set methodology may produce improper results, as the original rough set approach is not able to discover inconsistencies originating from consideration of typical criteria, like e.g. product quality, market share or debt ratio. The paper presents the framework for the analysis of both attributes and criteria and a very promising algorithm for generating reducts. The algorithm presented is evaluated in an experiment with real-life data sets and its results are compared to those by two other reduct generating algorithms.

Due to this change, the method is now able to find solutions, which are more compliant with COLREGS, more intuitive and consequently – safer from the navigator’s point of view.

The aim of the paper is to present the dynamic visualisations of selected concepts taught in mathematics and other “quantitative” subjects at university. Our dynamic visualisations can be used during lectures to help students to better understand difficult ideas and dependencies, for example the derivate of a function, the concept of fuzzy sets and the operations on these sets as well as the concept of the best solution in multi-objective programming problems. Visualisations of these issues are prepared in GeoGebra, which combines algebra and geometry and allows for the dynamic visualisation of concepts with a mathematical background.

In the paper was proposed optimization procedure supporting the prototyping of the geometry of multi-module CrN/CrCN coatings, deposited on substrates from 42CrMo4 steel, in respect of mechanical properties. Adopted decision criteria were the functions of the state of internal stress and strain in the coating and substrate, caused by external mechanical loads. Using developed optimization procedure the set of optimal solutions (Pareto-optimal solutions) of coatings geometry parameters, due to the adopted decision criteria was obtained. For the purposes of analysis of obtained Pareto-optimal solutions, their mutual distance in the space of criteria and decision variables were calculated, which allowed to group solutions in the classes. Also analyzed the number of direct neighbors of Pareto-optimal solutions for the purposes of assessing the stability of solutions.
This paper aims to propose a new multi-attribute decision making (MADM) method in complicated and fuzzy decision-making environment. To express both decision makers (DMs’) quantitative and qualitative evaluation information comprehensively and consider their high hesitancy in giving their assessment values in MADM process, we combine q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy sets (q-RDHFSs) with uncertain linguistic variables and develop a new tool, called the q-rung dual hesitant uncertain linguistic sets (q-RDHULSs). First, the definition, operations and comparison method of q-RDHULSs are proposed. Second, given the interrelationship among multiple q-rung dual hesitant uncertain linguistic variables (q-RDHULVs) we introduce some aggregation operators (AOs) to fuse q-rung dual hesitant uncertain linguistic (q-RDHUL) information based on the Muirhead mean, i.e. the q-RDHUL Muirhead mean operator, the q-RDHUL weighted Muirhead mean operator, the q-RDHUL dual Muirhead mean operator, and the q-RDHUL weighted dual Muirhead mean operator. To cope with MADM problems with q-RDHUL information, we propose a new method based on the proposed AOs. Afterwards, we apply the proposed method to an enterprise informatization level evaluation problem to verify its effectiveness. In addition, we also explain why our proposed method is more powerful and flexible than others.

The ability of q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy sets (q-RDHFSs) in dealing with decision makers’ fuzzy evaluation information has received much attention. This main aim of this paper is to propose new aggregation operators of q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy elements and employ them in multi-attribute decision making (MADM). In order to do this, we first propose the power dual Maclaurin symmetric mean (PDMSM) operator by integrating the power geometric (PG) operator and the dual Maclaurin symmetric mean (DMSM). The PG operator can reduce or eliminate the negative influence of decision makers’ extreme evaluation values, making the final decision results more reasonable. The DMSM captures the interrelationship among multiple attributes. The PDMSM takes the advantages of both PG and DMSM and hence it is suitable and powerful to fuse decision information. Further, we extend the PDMSM operator to q-RDHFSs and propose q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy PDMSM operator and its weighted form. Properties of these operators are investigated. Afterwards, a new MADM method under q-RDHFSs is proposed on the basis on the new operators. Finally, the effectiveness of the new method is testified through numerical examples.

The novelty of this research lies in exploring the composition of fuzzy and temporal association rules, and using a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm combined with iterative rule learning to mine many rules. Temporal patterns are augmented into a dataset to analyse the method’s ability in a controlled experiment. It is shown that the method is capable of discovering temporal patterns, and the effect of Boolean itemset support on the efficacy of discovering temporal fuzzy association rules is presented.

Współczesna diagnostyka techniczna stosująca model boryka się często ze zbyt dużym stopniem złożoności stosowanych modeli. Rozwiązania tego problemu, najczęściej stosowane dotychczas, polegały na upraszczaniu niektórych zależności modelu bądź świadomym pomijaniu niektórych wejść obiektu celem uproszczenia struktury modelu. W referacie przedstawiono odmienne podejście polegające na stosowaniu zbioru stosunkowo prostych modeli lokalnych w miejsce jednego złożonego modelu globalnego. Taki zbiór modeli lokalnych nazywany jest wielomodelem.
Nowadays technical diagnostics that applies a model struggles very often with a high-complexity degree of applying model. Solutions of that problem, applied most frequent so far, consisted in simplifying of some model relations or conscious omitting of some object inputs with the purpose of making a model structure simpler. In the paper, it is presented inflected approach that consists in application of a set of simply local models instead one complex global model. Such a set of local models is called multi-model.

Opis:
W opracowaniu zaprezentowano model rozmyty rozważanego procesu.
The decision making process is one of the most important and complicated human activity. The process could be met during the analysis of different domains. Unfortunately, the algorithms of decision making are defined only for some kinds of the problems. In more complex and complicated cases the optimal and universal algorithm of decision making doesn't exists. All that reasons limits the possibility of decision making process computerisation. From the other hand the experts of the problem domain makes optimal or suboptimal decision. The quality of the decisions is high enough to drive sometimes very complicated systems with acceptable efficiency. So, it is possible to solve the problem of decision making using the human mind. But the human mind is limited for the number of input data point of view. Additionally the quality of decision depends on the experts' experience, knowledge and mood. Therefore the computerised system to support the decision making process is very wanted. The first step of the computerisation is the considered problem model creation. In the paper the fuzzy model of decision making process is presented. It enables to model the approximate character of the process. Implementation of the model makes the computerisation of the considered issue possible.

Opis:
Inconsistent information is one of main difficulties in the explanation and recommendation tasks of decision analysis. We distinguish two kinds of such information inconsistencies : the first is related to indiscernibility of objects described by attributes defined in nominal or ordinal scales, and the other follows from violation of the dominance principle among attributes defined on preference ordered ordinal or cardinal scales, i.e. among criteria. In this paper we discuss how these two kinds of inconsistencies are handled by a new approach based on the rough sets theory. Combination of this theory with inductive learning techniques leads to generation of decision rules from rough approximations of decision classes. Particular attention is paid to numerical attribute scales and preference-ordered scales of criteria, and their influence on the syntax of induced decision rules.

Opis:
Ahe paper presents a new approach to solving Multi-criteria decision-making problems. The presented approach identifies an expert decision-making model in the state of the problem. The characteristic objects method identifies a model by using fuzzy set theory and characteristic objects as reference objects. This method is complete free of the rank reversal phenomenon. It means that if new alternatives are added or removed from alternatives set then rank existing order will be not changed. The characteristic objects method will be used to identify the multi-criteria model of 10-year risk of having a heart attack.

Opis:
The Lower Paleozoic shales of SW Sweden and Eastern Pomerania (Poland) have a common history related to the depositional and tectonic evolution of the Baltic Basin. The major tectonic events are recorded, among others, as joints, which are either exposed in outcrops in SW Sweden or recognised in deep boreholes located in Pomerania. We present a comparison of the regional joint systems recognized by multiple methods in the studied region. In effect of a statistical compilation of measurements, five joint sets (named JS 1 to JS 5) were identified, traceable between Eastern Pomerania and SW Sweden. Our analysis showed a general consistency of joint set orientations, independent of their distance to the Tornquist tectonic zone passing through the study region. Three of the joint sets, JS 1 striking NNE, JS 2 striking WNW, and JS 3 striking NNW, are found to be the most frequent sets, occurring in most sites. Having more constant orientation, the JS 1 and JS 3 served as indicators of possible rotation of the tectonic block or stress field in the region. JS 1 and JS 2 are interpreted as an effect of late Carboniferous stress relaxation after Variscan collision, while JS 3 and the E–W striking JS 4 might be related to the Early Devonian Caledonian compressive stage.

Opis:
One of the responsibilities of the health care sector regulator is to decide which health technologies (drugs, procedures, diagnostic tests, etc.) should be financed using public resources. That requires taking into account multiple criteria, of which two important ones are: cost and effectiveness of a technology (others being, e.g., prevalence, safety, ethical and social implications). Hence, health and wealth need to be traded off against each other, and hence the willingness-to-pay (WTP) has to be determined. Various approaches to setting WTP have been taken, yet the results differ substantially. In the present paper I claim that the proper approach is to treat WTP as a fuzzy concept (the decision maker may not be able to decidedly state that a given health-wealth trade-off coefficient is acceptable/unacceptable - an idea backed up by the survey presented in the paper). Previous research shows how this fuzzy approach can be embedded in defining the preference relation and pairwise comparisons. In the present paper I account for the fact that there are often more than two alternatives available. To avoid difficulties that might arise (e.g., incompleteness or intransitivity of preferences) I show how the fuzzy approach can be used to define a fuzzy choice function based on the axiomatic approach. Some properties are discussed (e.g., how the approach handles the dominance and extended dominance), and the directions of further research are hinted at.
