Opis:
Prezentowany artykuł składa się z typowej triady dla artykułów zawierających raport z badań. W części pierwszej przedstawiono teoretyczne podejście do konstruowania kariery zawodowej. W tym względzie bazowano na torii konstrukcji M. L. Savickas’a. Druga część artykułu opisuje metodologię podjętych badań własnych, których przedmiotem było konstruowanie kariery zawodowej przez studentów pedagogiki. Z kolei celem badań uczyniono poznaniu poglądów studentów pedagogiki wokół kwestii konstruowania kariery zawodowej. Postępowanie badawcze miało dać odpowiedź na pytanie: jakie podejście do konstruowania własnej kariery zawodowej prezentują studenci pedagogiki? Odpowiedzi na przyjęty problem badawczy dostarczyła metoda w postaci jakościowej analizy treści, do której skonstruowano autorskie narzędzie badawcze. Badania zostały osadzone w nurcie metodologii jakościowej, utożsamianej z paradygmatem interpretatywnym. Ostatnia część artykułu zawiera wyniki badań własnych, z których, m.in. wynika, że niektórzy studenci pedagogiki łączyli swoją karierę zawodową z pracą nauczyciela/pedagoga.
The article presented here consists of a typical triad for research report works. The first partpresents a theoretical approach to career construction. In this respect, it was based onM.L. Savickas’ constructionist theory. The second part of the article describes the methodology ofthe own research undertaken, the subject of which was the construction of careers by studentsof pedagogy. The aim of the research was to get to know the views of pedagogy students on theissue of constructing their own professional career. The research procedure was supposed to answer the question of completion: what are the views on the construction of one’s own professional career presented by students of pedagogy? The answer to the adopted research problemwas searched by the form of qualitative content analysis, for which a proprietary research toolwas constructed. The research was embedded in the paradigm of pragmatism, which puts emphasis primarily on the practical effectiveness of problem solving. For this reason, it was decided thatthe most rational methodological solution for the given research problem would be the adoptionof a qualitative strategy. The last part of the article contains the results of the author’s own research, which, among other things, shows that some students of pedagogy combined their professional career with the work of a teacher/pedagogue.

In this paper we address a new hierarchical multicriteria routing model associated with a two-path traffic splitting routing method in MPLS networks whereby the bandwidth required by a given node-to-node traffic flow is divided by two disjoint paths. The model has two levels of objective functions and several constraints. An algorithmic approach is presented for calculating non-dominated solutions and selecting good compromise solutions to this problem. Also a number of computational experiments are presented.

The paper concerns the evaluation of mechanical properties of the composite: 'nitrided layer-PAPVD coating' created on CoCrMo alloy intended for biotribological applications. Five nitriding processes with varying nitriding potential (p(N2/H2) =1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0) were selected for optimising. The modulus of elasticity and nanohardness of nitrided layers were measured by nanoindentation. Cross-sections were examined by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in order to determine the thickness and the uniformity of the affected zone after nitriding. The change in surface roughness was studied with the help of 3D roughness parameters obtained by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and the phase composition was determined by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was found that the most suitable properties of the surface layer were achieved by nitriding at p(N2/H2) = 2.5. CrN as well as multilayer (TiN/CrN)x3 PAPVD coatings were deposited onto the substrates with and without nitiriding for evaluation of the nitriding effect on the adhesion. CoCrMo alloy nitrided sample was included for comparison. All these conditions were characterised by means of AFM, nanohardness, SEM, and scratch test. The duplex technology applied to CoCrMo orthopaedic alloy allows for a significant increase of the adhesion of the PAPVD coatings and the improvement of the load carrying capacity of the CoCrMo orthopaedic alloy.
Artykuł dotyczy oceny mechanicznych właściwości kompozytu warstwa azotowana/powłoka PVD utworzonego na stopie ortopedycznym CoCrMo stosowanym w aplikacjach biotribologicznych. Przeprowadzono optymalizację procesu azotowania dla potencjału azotowego wynoszącego (p(N2/H2) = 1,0, 1,5, 2,0, 2,5 i 3,0). Dla uzyskanych warstw azotowanych wykonano pomiary modułu elastyczności i nanotwardości. W celu oceny grubości i jednorodności uzyskanych warstw wykonano obserwacje mikroskopowe (SEM) przekrojów poprzecznych. Zmiany chropowatości powierzchni zostały ocenione za pomcą stereometrycznych parametrów mierzonych z wykorzystaniem mikroskopii sił atomowych (AFM), natomiast zmiany składu fazowego za pomocą dyfrakcji rentgenowskiej (XRD). Uzyskane wyniki wskazały, że najkorzystniejsze właściwości warstwy wierzchniej uzyskano dla potencjału p(N2/H2), wynoszącego 2,5. Dokonano oceny wpływu azotowania podłoża na adhezję powłoki CrN oraz (TiN/CrN)x3 osadzanych metodą PAPVD z wykorzystaniem technik AFM, nanotwardościomierza, SEM oraz scratchtestu. Wykazano, że technologia duplex stosowana do ortopedycznego stopu CoCrMo? pozwala na znaczne zwiększenie adhezji powłok PAPVD oraz poprawę jego właściwości przeciwzużyciowych.

The overall aims of this project are to assess the safety and immunogenicity of the Schistosoma japonicum vaccine paramyosin among water buffaloes residing in endemic areas. The study was conducted in four villages in Leyte, the Philippines, an area highly endemic for schistosomiasis japonica. One hundred and fifteen (N=115) animals provided baseline stool samples for coprologic examination, with preliminary results using FLOTAC showing a 10% prevalence of schistosomiasis. Forty-nine (N=49) animals consented to treatment with 25 mg/kg Praziquantel, and 40, 36 and 32 animals consented to the first, second and third dose of the paramyosin vaccine, respectively. The safety trial involved the first 20 animals and included skin testing, vaccination, anaphylaxis monitoring, as well as hematology and serum chemistry analysis. Skin tests revealed that only three out of 20 animals exhibited redness at the injection site, with none greater than 1 cm. None of the animals exhibited anaphylaxis, and all hematology and serum chemistry markers were within normal range or were similar to pre-vaccination levels. None of the 40 animals administered with the first dose exhibited anaphylaxis, nor any of the subsequent vaccine doses. Immunogenicity assessment of sera collected prior to every vaccination and one month after the last dose showed that the paramyosin vaccine induced robust antibody responses to all animals, as assessed by ELISA. The cytokine levels of whole blood culture supernatants will be further assessed. Our findings demonstrate that the S. japonicum paramyosin vaccine is a safe, well-tolerated and immunogenic treatment among water buffalos residing in endemic areas.

Although clear evidence of significant differences in bone properties have been extensively studied, results vary under the ranges usually used for sterilization purposes (25-35 kGy). Hence, the aim of this work was the study of the mechanical properties and microdamage development of human bones used as allografts following gamma-ray exposure, followed by an extensive statistical analysis of microdamage effects in fatigue behaviour. Methods: Specimens of the cortical region of human femurs were exposed to 15-25 kGy and 26-30 kGy radiation levels, then they were subjected to compression fatigue tests until fracture. The fatigue life was determined in relation to the radiation level, and the evolution of microdamage was assessed through fluorescence microscopy in order to calculate characteristic lengths of microcracks. Results: Significant differences in fatigue life were detected (p < 0.05) between non-radiated (control) and radiated specimens, resulting in a drastic 89.2% fatigue life reduction of the 15-25 kGy group, and 95.3% in the 26-30 kGy group in comparison to the control. Microdamage analysis showed a considerable increase in microcrack lengths when bone was exposed to gamma radiation, which may indicate that bones used as allografts could fracture at some point when subjected to in vivo loading conditions. Conclusions: The results of our research indicate that, even if a range of 15-25 kGy is suggested to sterilize bone allografts, such practice needs to be reconsidered. In addition, with use of Weibull distribution, this work describes the conditions in which microcracks grow towards the fracture of bones in relation to the decrease in their mechanical properties.

In this paper we study the degeneration of both the cohomology and the cohomotopy Frölicher spectral sequences in a special class of complex manifolds, namely the class of compact nilmanifolds endowed with a nilpotent complex structure. Whereas the cohomotopy spectral sequence is always degenerate for such a manifold, there exist many nilpotent complex structures on compact nilmanifolds for which the classical Frölicher spectral sequence does not collapse even at the second term.

Although tracks of dinosaurs are well known from Upper Jurassic sediments, tracks of non−dinosaurian vertebrates are fairly rare. The Upper Jurassic Lastres Formations of Asturias in northern Spain contain many vertebrate tracksites that include footprints and trackways of non−dinosaurian tetrapods. Several of these tracks are natural casts of pentadactyl to tridactyl footprints with digits connected by arched structures. The digits are short with deep scratch marks oriented anteriorly. The Asturian tracks show a high degree of morphological similarity to other specimens previously described as possible turtle tracks. Observations from extant turtle trackways show some surprising similarities with the fossil material. The tracks are here interpreted as having been made by turtles partially buoyed by water or by turtles walking in a slightly wet subaerial environment.
