    Mark Prensky created a specific division of society into digital immigrants and digital natives. The aim of this article is to reflect on the challenge posed to contemporary catechesis by generations of digital natives. Among the various conclusions should be distinguished: concern for the development of faith of young people from the generation of digital natives, remember to build the right human relationship, learn to communicate with God, care should be taken for a simple language of catechesis that will show a loving Christ, care about the right image of the human person, supported by testimony, care about kind and authentic dialogue with man and with God. Responsible for the religious education of young people are mainly adults, implicitly: parents, catechists, pastors.

    The aim of the study was to summarize the activity of the journal of the diocese of Ełk during the period 1999-2018 and to outline the development plan related to the reform (2018). The initiation of the project in the form of a scientific journal has created opportunities for the development and publishing of research results carried out by scientists mainly belonging to the diocese of Ełk. Many of them used this opportunity. Sharing the results of our own scientific research was at the same time the propagation of the journal and the environment creating it. The considerable scientific output published in the “Studia Ełckie” in a permanent way inscribed in shaping the scientific awareness of the north-eastern Poland. The presentation of the origins and development of the journal turned out to be difficult as long as there are no detailed written sources. It must be admitted that the history of this periodical, although not too long, is quite rich in various transformations. We should appreciate the effort of not only hundreds of authors and reviewers who co-created the magazine, but also those who, through their commitment and dedication, took care of its shape and development.

    Today's pastorate is looking for topical models of preaching the Gospel. The article presents Franciszek Blachnicki's proposition that any pastoral work should be based on the Gospel. Experience shows that a considerable part of Christians do not fully live according to the Gospel. This leads to the conclusion that most practicing Catholics need to be evangelized. The need to preach the truth of the faith is ever more necessary also among those people who are christened, but have never accepted Christ as the Lord and the Savior. Also the postulate of a well-thought out pastorate is distinct, where through a clear vision mature attitudes are formed. Such a model of pastorate based on evangelization ultimately is to lead to building the community of the Church.

    Artykuł pokazuje katechezę jako narzędzie komunikowania wiary w obecnym kontekście społecznym. Wraz z Soborem Watykańskim II otwiera się nowy rozdział w dialogu Kościoła światem i jego osiągnięciami cywilizacyjnymi. Również nauki teologiczne powinny zabiegać o to, aby ten dialog współtworzyć. Kościół podejmując dzieło katechizacji, wychodzi z Dobrą Nowiną do różnych kręgów świata. Można uznać, że każde działanie katechetyczne, które prowadzi do poznania Boga i pogłębienia wiary jest aktem komunikacji. Korzysta ono z narzędzi, które dostarczają nauki pedagogiczne i związane z komunikacją społeczną. Stąd też proces komunikacji wydaje się być bardzo złożonym zjawiskiem i napotykać na wiele przeszkód. To właśnie katecheza troszczy się, aby proces komunikacji Boga z człowiekiem i człowieka z Bogiem był jak najbardziej owocny. Odpowiadając na wyzwania danej chwili, współczesna katecheza powinna szukać sposobów i możliwości oddziaływania na wiele zmysłów jednocześnie.
    The article shows catechesis as a tool for faith communication in a contemporary social context. Along with Vatican Council II a new chapter in the Church’s dialogue with the world and its achievements of civilization begins. Theological sciences should also solicit for co-creating this dialogue. The Church, undertaking the work of catechesis, brings the Good News to different corners of the world. It can be acknowledged that every catechetical activity, which leads to knowing the God and deepening the faith, is a communication act. It uses the tools provided by pedagogical sciences and those related to social communication. Hence, the communication process seems to be very complex and comes across many obstacles. It is the catechesis that takes care of the fact that communication process between the God and the human and vice versa is the most fruitful. Responding to current challenges, contemporary catechesis should seek for the ways and possibilities of affecting many senses at the same time.
    L’articolo mostra catechesi come strumento per comunicare la fede in attuale contesto sociale. Chiesa incaricandosi di catechesi, esce con il Vangelo a tutte le sfere del mondo. Si può dire che ogni azione catechetica che porta alla conoscenza di Dio e all’approfondimento di fede è un atto di comunicazione. Si utilizzano strumenti che sono forniti sia da didattica che da comunicazione sociale. Pertanto, il processo di comunicazione sembra essere fenomeno molto complesso che incontra molti ostacoli. È la catechesi che si occupa perché questo processo di comunicazione tra Dio e l’uomo e l’uomo e Dio sia stato più fruttuoso possibile. A rispondere alle sfide del tempo, la catechesi contemporanea dovrebbe cercare modi e possibilità per influenzare a molti sensi in una sola volta.

    The aim of the study is to outline the research framework for the issue of promoting a positive image of a catechist (religion teachers). This goal, in accordance with the pastoral paradigm, will be achieved in three points. Firstly, theoretical assumptions will be presented that suggest what this image of a catechist should be like. The second element is the presentation of the results of research conducted for the purposes of this study. The third point is the presentation of conclusions. As the teaching of the Church, the results of research and the long Polish catechetical tradition show, it is necessary to be a witness to a living faith. It is also important to know the teaching material thoroughly and to be a good teacher. Contemporary challenges add communication competence, openness, sensitivity and spontaneity. The binder for all these features is caring for your own image. This necessity, however, comes not from empty vanity but from the knowledge that they will teach in the name of Jesus.

    The article shows the lost paradigms of human nature. It is also a sign of concern for respect for human dignity. The source of reflection is the thought written in the latest catechetical documents and the teaching of the Second Vatican council. The aim of the article is to recall theoretical assumptions important in catechetical ministry and to research for practical guidelines for their implementation. This goal is done through three points. The first is a reference to the philosophical and theological foundations that determine human dignity. The next step is to consolidate catechetical paradigms that express concern for the right view of man and his dignity. The third element is research for specific actions to promote human dignity. All considerations are interdisciplinary. His main thoughts and conclusions are the space of theological sciences. However, the issue raised requires the correlation of theological content with philosophical premises.

    The principle of being faithful to God and a human is one of the main pastoral principles. The aim of this article is pointing that The World Youth Days are a phenomenon that provides understanding and accomplishing this principle. The World Youth Days are international meetings of young people from all over the world who gather in one place to make a confession of faith in Jesus Christ. They arose out of the concern of John Paul II who was tireless to wander The Earth to look for young people and faced them with his paternal love. As a result, these meetings have brightened young people’s faith for30 years. Neither documents nor decrees would guarantee such newness of faith, but only real and personal meeting a human and God. The subsequent popes ant the entire organization structure wants to show young people God and His way of acting in the world and human life.

    The article presents the history of creation and organization of the archives in the western and northern territory of Poland (the recovered territories), as well as preparation of staff to work in these institutions. Much space is devoted to the use of the collections for scientific work and the most important publica-tions about the region are listed. Also, the role of these archives in the teaching process at universities or in the dissemination of knowledge is pointed out. Church archives in the western and northern territory have also become the institutions integrating and connecting the two communities – the German one (inhabitating the territory before 1945) and the Polish one. Employees of these archives as ones of the first alluded cooperation with former residents, who found a new homeland in western Germany, answer the questions about genea-logical research or participate in a number of scientific symposia. Meetings organized for youth and school children and training courses prepared for stu-dents are also an important measure of the commitment of church archives in the regional sense. Creation of good conditions for the storage of records and development of resources made implementation of these tasks easier. Extensive cooperation has also appeared after the erection of the Universities of Szczecin, Opole and Olsztyn.

    W ostatnich latach wzrosło zainteresowanie ks. Wojciechem Zinkiem, który w latach 1951 – 1953 sprawował rządy w diecezji warmińskiej. Dużo uwagi poświęca się jego postawie wobec ówczesnych władz polskich i sprzeciwowi wobec aresztowania prymasa Polski kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego. Wielokrotnie występował w obronie duchownych i wiernych, których spotykały represje ze strony funkcjonariuszy państwowych i partyjnych. Protestował przeciwko aresztowaniu kapłanów. Zdecydowanie sprzeciwiał się próbom ograniczenia duszpasterstwa parafialnego i ograniczaniu likwidacji instytucji kościelnych, zwłaszcza niższego seminarium duchownego we Fromborku. Bronił księży autochtonów, ale też starał się zapobiegać konfliktom z powodu prób przywrócenia języka niemieckiego w nabożeństwach. Nie akceptował działalności tzw. księży patriotów. Z powodu niezłomnej postawy wielokrotnie był wzywany na rozmowy z przewodniczącym Wojewódzkiej Rady Narodowej i kierownikiem Wydziału do Spraw Wyznań w Olsztynie. Gdy doszło do aresztowania prymasa Polski nie wyraził zgody na odczytanie w parafiach wydanych wówczas komunikatu Rady Ministrów i „wezwania” Episkopatu Polski. Z tego powodu został wieczorem 2 października 1953 r. aresztowany i osadzony w więzieniu w Warszawie, w którym spędził 16 miesięcy. Do diecezji mógł jednak powrócić dopiero po przemianach Polskiego Października w 1956 r. Kolejne lata życia poświęcił na pracę w Kurii Biskupiej. Był najbliższym współpracownikiem biskupa Tomasza Wilczyńskiego, a po jego śmierci w 1965 r. – biskupa Józefa Drzazgi. W ich imieniu bardzo często udawał się do władz wojewódzkich, także wyznaniowych, by bronić Kościoła warmińskiego i załatwiać sprawy szczególnie trudne, m.in. oskarżeń księży, placówek duszpasterskich, katechizacji, seminarium duchownego. Jeszcze w latach sześćdziesiątych występował w obronie ludności autochtonicznej i zorganizował samopomoc kapłańską. Tym samym w pełni zasłużył na określenie „kapłan niezłomny”. Za swoją heroiczną postawę został też upamiętniony tablicą odsłoniętą 18 czerwca 2018 r. w Ogrodzie Sprawiedliwych w Warszawie.
    In recent years, interest in priest Wojciech Zink, who in 1951 – 1953 governed in the diocese of Warmia, has increased. Much attention is devoted to his attitude towards the then Polish authorities and opposition to the arrest of the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński. He repeatedly defended the clergy and the faithful, who were met with repression by state and party officials. He protested against the arrest of priests. He strongly opposed attempts to reduce parish priesthood and to limit the liquidation of church institutions, especially the lower seminary in Frombork. He defended indigenous priests, but he also tried to preventconflicts because of attempts to restore the German language in services. He did not accept the so-called priests the patriots. Because of his steadfast attitude he was repeatedly called uponto talk to the chairman of the Provincial National Council and the head of the Department for Religious Affairs in Olsztyn. When the Primate of Poland was arrested, he did not agree to read the message of the Council of Ministers and the “summons” of the Polish Episcopate in parishes. For this reason he was arrested in the evening on October 2, 1953 and imprisoned in Warsaw, where he spent 16 months. However, he could return to the diocese only after the transformation of the Polish October in 1956. He spent the next years of his life working in the Bishop’s Curia. He was the closest associate of bishop Tomasz Wilczyński, and after his deathin 1965 – of bishop Józef Drzazga. On their behalf, he often went to provincial authorities, including denominational authorities, to defend the Warmian Church and settle particularly difficult matters, including accusations of priests, pastoral institutions, catechesis and seminary. Back in the 1960s, he defended indigenous people and organized priestly self-help. Thus hefully deserves the term “steadfast priest.” For his heroic attitude he was also commemorated with a plaque unveiled on June 18, 2018 in the Garden of the Righteous in Warsaw.

    The occurrence of underestimation of bone mineral density (BMD) and significant deficiencies of calcium and vitamin D in the diets examined male and female students. Proper BMD was significantly more common in people with excess body weight and consuming calcium and vitamin D nutritional guidelines at the level compared with students and deficiency of body weight and understated supply of calcium and vitamin D in the day nutritional ration. Examined a group of students, and students should be included in nutrition education program in the field of care for peak bone mass and a program for the prevention of osteoporosis.
