Opis:: The authors of the text argue that any relationship established between the code and analogue elements of the operating system should be recognized as a matter of aesthetic choice. According to them with free code writing, enabled by rising computational power, certain elements (procedures) of the work may become part of artistic expression as a result of the designer’s arbitrary decision. In contrast, in older installations codes had to be well-matched to ensure compatibility with the analogue components of the system because of constraints in computer performance. It was a relationship in which only these procedures could be applied which conformed to the architecture of the operating system. Consequently, the expression of such work was essentially a reflection of its structure.

Opis:: The purpose of the work was to experimentally determine the characteristics of the prototype of a Roto-Jet pump (the Pitot tube pump) during its operation under conditions typical for the domestic micro power plant. The low-boiling fluid, sold under the trade name of HFE7100 and characterised by a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) coefficient, was used as a working medium in the organic Rankine cycle (ORC). An electric thermal oil heater with a maximum power of 2×24 kWe was used as a heat source. The pump of Roto-Jet type was specially designed for the operation with the following rated parameters of the thermodynamic cycle: nominal flow rate of the working fluid 0.17 kg/s, operating pressure 1.2 MPa. The pump was put under load using an expansion valve that simulated the operation of an expansion machine. The article discusses thermodynamic and flow conditions to be met by the pumping engine as well as results of the experimental research. Moreover, the article includes the operational characteristics of the ORC installation and the Roto-Jet pump obtained during the operation with the target working medium – HFE7100. The engineering problems the authors of this article faced when designing and testing the pumping engine prototype are also presented.

Opis:: This paper presents results concerning the experimental investigation of a five-stage prototypical axial-flow microturbine operating in an ORC installation. The microturbine has an electrical capacity of 3 kW at the nominal rotational speed of 12000 rpm and is supplied with a low-boiling medium's vapour HFE7100. During the test, both the full vibration frequency distribution and the overall level of the velocity vibrations RMS in the microturbine were measured. A spectral analysis of vibration velocity was conducted during the grind-in process after a modernisation of the shrouding bandage of the microturbine set's flow system took place. The article presents the operational characteristics of the ORC system as well as the characteristics showing the electric power produced as the function of rotational speed of the microturbine. On the basis of the results obtained, there was assessed the dynamic performance of the microturbine and it was ranked according to ISO 10816-1 standard. The paper also shows the measurement results of the so-called kurtosis within the frequency range of 15 to 30 kHz, which made it possible to evaluate the dynamic state of the rolling bearings by which the microturbine rotor was supported.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań poziomu drgań podczas rozbiegu prototypowej 5-stopniowej osiowej mikroturbiny pracującej w obiegu Rankine'a. Mikroturbina o nominalnej mocy 3 kW i prędkości obrotowej 12000 obr/min była zasilana parą czynnika niskowrzącego HFE7100. Podczas badań zmierzono rozkłady częstotliwościowe oraz ogólny poziom prędkości drgań Vrms mikroturbiny w zależności od prędkości obrotowej. Przedstawiono analizę prędkości drgań podczas docierania i po modernizacji bandaży układu przepływowego mikroturbozespołu. Zamieszczono charakterystyki pracy obiegu ORC oraz charakterystyki mocy elektrycznej w zależności od prędkości obrotowej mikroturbiny. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników oceniono stan dynamiczny mikroturbiny oraz zaklasyfikowano badaną maszynę przepływową wg normy ISO 10816-1. W pracy zamieszczono wyniki pomiarów tzw. kurtozy w przedziale 15-30 kHz na podstawie której wykonano ocenę stanu łożysk tocznych układu wirującego mikroturbiny.

Opis:: The paper presents the results of experimental investigations of the ORC system equipped with the expansion valve simulating microturbine operation. The aim of the research was to verify the correct functioning of the installation components and to access the technical condition of the thermal insulation in the heating and cooling mode with regard to the design assumptions. The research was conducted for different values of medium flow rates. The images were acquired using the thermal imaging camera FLIR E50, which is equipped with a specialized software. On the basis of the experimental results, the heat losses have been estimated, together with the places which were the major source of loss (the so-called thermal bridges). It was shown experimentally that the application of a thermal imaging camera can constitute a simple and fast thermal diagnostics method for installations of this type.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych układu ORC z zaworem rozprężnym symulującym pracę mikroturbiny. Badania miały na celu sprawdzenie poprawności działania podzespołów instalacji oraz ocenę stanu technicznego izolacji termicznej podczas procesów grzania, chłodzenia i regeneracji w stosunku do założeń projektowych. Badania przeprowadzono dla wybranych natężeń przepływów mediów roboczych. W badaniach wykorzystano kamerę termowizyjną FLIR E50 wraz ze specjalistycznym oprogramowaniem. Na podstawie wyników badań oszacowano straty ciepła instalacji oraz określono miejsca, w których występowały największe straty (tzw. mostki termiczne). Wykazano, że zastosowanie kamery termowizyjnej może być szybką i prostą metodą diagnostyki termicznej tego typu instalacji energetycznych.

Opis:: The article presents the research carried out on the circulating rotodynamic pump (peripheral pump) operating in the organic Rankine cycle with or without regeneration. The low-boiling solvent HFE7100 was used as the working ﬂuid. Its boiling point is around 61 ◦C at atmospheric pressure. An expansion valve, which simulated the operation of an expansion machine, was used to load the tested pump. The ﬂow characteristics were given for the working media: a solution of glycol and HFE7100 in the condenser, thermal oil and HFE7100 in the evaporator and HFE7100 in the regenerator. The research results concerning the PK70 pump operating in an ORC cycle are reported for the HFE7100 temperature range 15-60 ◦C and the dynamic viscosity range of 0.132 to 0.66 mPas. The maximum ﬂow rate and pressure of the pump during its operation in the ORC system were assessed. The analysis of the results demonstrates that the maximum eﬃciencies of the pump operating with or without regeneration were 44% and slightly below 37%, respectively. The impact of the selected physicochemical parameters of the working mediums on the pressure drops occurring in the ORC cogeneration installation was discussed. Based on the research conducted and the measurement results, the possibility to apply a PK70 unit as a circulating pump for the working medium in an ORC cycle was checked.

Z przywołanych dokumentów wynika, że zaproponowany przez jezuitę nowy styl duszpasterstwa nie przyjmował się. Władze zakonne powierzyły mu funkcję kierowniczą w Warszawie, która poprzedziła realizację zadań w Domu Generalnym jezuitów w Rzymie.
The article presents the pastoral activity of Father Andrzej Koprowski SJ as part of the Jesuit academic pastoral presence at the Catholic University of Lublin in the 1970s. It contains information taken from the files of the Communist Security Services of the Polish People’s Republic. These documents show that the new style of pastoral care proposed by the Jesuit was not accepted. The religious authorities therefore directed Koprowski to a leadership position in Warsaw, which turned out to be a springboard to the central authorities of the Jesuits in Rome.

Opis:: W artykule omówiono stan zasobów złóż węgla kamiennego pozostawionych po likwidacji kopalń w Dolnośląskim Zagłębiu Węglowym. W 1990 roku - rozpoczynającym restrukturyzację górnictwa - w 7 złożach zagłębia (w tym 5 eksploatowanych) było 457 min t zasobów bilansowych 1313 min t zasobów pozabilansowych, głównie węgla koksowego, specjalnego i antracytu. Obecnie, po zakończeniu eksploatacji i całkowitej likwidacji wszystkich kopalń, zasoby geologiczne całego zagłębia stanowią wyłącznie zasoby pozabilansowe w ilości 369 min t. Pojawiająca się w ostatnich latach koniunktura na światowych rynkach węgla (zwłaszcza na węgiel koksowy) spowodowała zainteresowanie niektórymi złożami węgla zlikwidowanych kopalń i możliwościami wznowienia eksploatacji. Wśród złóż kopalń wałbrzyskich na większą uwagę zasługuje złoże kopalni Victoria (pola Barbara i Witold). Występuje tu niemal wyłącznie węgiel koksowy, specjalny i antracytowy. Jego zasoby w pokładach o grubości przynajmniej 1,20 m (kryterium stosowane obecnie do obliczenia zasobów przemysłowych węgla koksowego i specjalnego) wynoszą ok. 58,5 min t. Ujemną cechą tego złoża są niekorzystne warunki geologiczno-górnicze, w tym zwłaszcza zagrożenia gazowe i wyrzutowe. Interesujące mogłyby być również zasoby antracytu w złożu Wałbrzych-Gaj (jedyne tego typu złoże w Polsce), jednak wobec całkowitej likwidacji infrastruktury kopalni, w tym szybów, zasoby te wydają się być stracone (ok. 20 min t zasobów przemysłowych przed zakończeniem eksploatacji). W podobnej sytuacji są pozostałe złoża w rejonach Wałbrzycha i Nowej Rudy; niewielkie ilości zasobów o znaczeniu przemysłowym, trudne warunki geologiczno-górnicze i brak dostępu do ztóż ze względu na całkowitą likwidację szybów wydają się wykluczać możliwości ich udostępnienia metodami górniczymi, czyli poprzez budowę nowych kopalń. Można jednak założyć ponowne zagospodarowanie tych złóż w przyszłości metodami niekonwencjonalnymi poprzez zgazowanie pokładów węgla.
The paper presents the study results concerning the hard coal reserves still existing after closure of coal mines in the Lower Silesian Coal Basin (SW Poland). In 1990, when the coal industry restructuring process started, there were seven coal deposits (of which five still under exploitation). They consisted of 457 million tons of economic and potentially economic reserves and 313 million tons of potentially economic reserves represented mainly by coking coal, anthracite coal and anthracite. Nowadays, after the end of coal mining, the geological reserves of the Lower Silesian Coal Basin are 369 million tons of potentially economic reserves. The boom that occurred over the last years in the world coal market (especially demand for coking coal) has caused an increased interest in the abandoned coal deposits and possibilities of exploitation reopening. In the Wałbrzych area, the most interesting among the existing coal deposits is that of the former Victoria mine (Barbara and Witold coalfields). It predominantly contains coking coal, anthracite coal and anthracite. Its reserves amount to 58.5 million tons (calculated for at least 1.20 m thick seams). Disadvantage of the deposit is unfavourable geological and mining conditions, especially danger of coal and gas outburst. The anthracite reserves of the Wałbrzych-Gaj deposit (the only Poland's deposit of this type) are interesting, but as the entire mine's processing buildings, shafts etc. have been pulled down, the reserves seem to be lost (approx. 20 million tons just before the end of mining). The remaining deposits in the Wałbrzych and Nowa Ruda regions are in a similar situation. Insignificant amounts of economic reserves, difficult mining conditions, total demolishment of mineshafts and processing plant buildings etc. give no chance for exploitation by deep mining methods through establishing of new mines. It can be assumed that the potential future development of coal deposits in the Lower Silesian Coal Basin is possible by unconventional methods, like the underground gasification of coal seams.

This region is situated in south-western Poland, in proximity of the Wałbrzych Foothills (Bolków-Wałbrzych Foothills), Wałbrzych Mts., Kamienne Mts. and Sowie Mts. and Kamienna Góra Basin. The 149 geotopes which represents 6 geological themes - sedimentology, volcanism, metamorphism, geomorphology, hydrogeology, geology of Quaternary - have been selected and evaluated. All the data collected for these sites are stored in the database and may be displayed on several thematic maps. Based on results of valorization of geotopes, analyses of geology and geomorphology of the area as well as evaluation of land development, the seven geotourist sub-areas (so-called domains) have been differentiated. The results of the geotopes inventory and valorization indicate a possibility to propose a new geotourist area in the studied region and name it "Wałbrzych Geotourist Area".
