Opis:
The rock mass disturbed by mining activities in a copper ore mine has a structure consisting of thick layers of predominantly high mechanical parameters. The layers, due to their strength properties and dimensions, have low deformability which influences a vast area in the form of increased stresses. This area is a part of a rock massif where dynamic destruction periodically occurs in particular fragments as the post-mining cavity expands. The size of such an identified fragment of the rock mass depends on the extent of goafs and the distance between them and mining operations as well as inhomogeneities and confinement in the rock massif. The specific structure of the overlying layers, especially their mechanical properties, determine, to a vast extent, the cracks of anthropogenic influence in the rock massif, which result in foci of seismic tremors often recorded far from the areas of conducted mining activities. A selection of seismic tremors for their spatial location, related to the conducted mining operations and the time of their occurrence, can be useful for forecasting areas which determine seismic hazards in the area of mining operations. The aspect of the analysis of seismic tremors recorded in Division G-23 may indicate the location of the areas of the rock mass which remains in a state of boundary energy balance until another portion of seismic energy is released ‘stabilizing’ the area containing this rock mass. The article presents results of the analysis of a set of tremors between 2013 and 2015, induced by mining activities in Division G-23, in order to forecast areas of seismic activity in the rock mass disturbed by mining operations.

We present experimental results, which may indicate the possibility of the coexistence of the Kondo effect and ferromagnetism in macroscopic planar magnetic tunnel junctions with a layer of nanodots inside tunnel barriers. A conductance double peak structure was observed. Magnetic field dependence of the splitting of a conductance peak, and temperature evolution of the conductance curves are well explained from the theoretical point of view according to the predictions of the Kondo physics and cotunneling in the Anderson quantum dot coupled to ferromagnetic leads.

In this work we present an analytical model of the threshold voltage of SiGe p-channel metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor based on the solution of the two-dimensional Poisson's equation and the ground state wave function of Fang and Howard, and taking into account the space charge in the channel and its effect on the surface potential. It is seen that the experimental data are well fitted within the experimental error that shows the appropriateness of the implemented model. Also comparing the calculated results to that of the calculated from the available recent reported models indicates a reasonable improvement to them.

Static and dynamic electric quadrupole interactions of $\text{}^{111}$Cd in complexes with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid were studied by the time differential perturbed angular γγ-correlation technique using two parent isotopes, $\text{}^{111}$In(EC)$\text{}^{111}$Cd and $\text{}^{111 m}$Cd. The measurements were carried out using neutral aqueous solutions of the diethylenetriaminepentaacetic- acid-complexes with initial isotopes at 293 K and 77 K. It was shown that the $\text{}^{111}$Cd-diethylenetriaminepentaacetic-acid-complex in aqueous solutions at pH = 7.0 is characterised by the re-orientational correlation time of 7.7×10$\text{}^{-11}$ s and an electric field gradient V$\text{}_{zz}$=6.7(2)×10$\text{}^{21}$ V/m$\text{}^{2}$ with an asymmetry parameter η=0.75(5). A direct comparison of the electric quadrupole interaction parameters for diethylenetriaminepentaacetic- acid-complexes with $\text{}^{111}$In and $\text{}^{111m}$Cd confirmed the proposal about the fragmentation of the complexes caused by the after-effects of electron capture in $\text{}^{111}$In. An observed difference in the electric quadrupole interaction parameters obtained for the solutions with $\text{}^{111}$In and $\text{}^{111m}$Cd complexes reflects a process of a chemical rearrangement of the complex structure after the In decay into Cd

We report on an experimental study of the thermal annealing processes under air and nitrogen atmospheres of colloidal Au nanoparticles deposited onto SiO₂/Si(100) samples. It was shown that Au nanoparticles during annealing under ambient conditions could penetrate inside silicon dioxide layers forming pores at that their lengths were found to be dependent on the annealing time. The influence of oxygen on the penetration process is discussed. At the same time, the annealing of Au nanoparticles under nitrogen conditions did not result in the formation of pores.

We investigate statistics of the tunneling events in the short time limit in terms of the waiting time distribution (WTD), defined as the probability for a delay time between two subsequent transitions of particles, and consider it for a quantum dot (QD) strongly coupled to a superconducting and weakly coupled to two normal electrodes. Our study focuses on the WTD in the subgap transport, when coherent exchange of the Cooper pairs occurs between the QD and the superconductor. The dynamics can be described in terms of a Markovian generalized master equation for the reduced density matrix. We observe coherent oscillations between the Andreev bound states in the correlated jumps, both for the local and non-local WTDs. In addition the analysis of the transient currents give us some insight into dominant relaxation processes in short time scales.

In the mid-2016, the first unsuccessful attempt to introduce REITs into national legislation was made. In May 2017, the Ministry of Finance introduced a revised draft on real estate leasing companies (SWRN law) whose construction is similar to REITs. In the view of the opinion-making bodies, which is shared by the author of this article, the adoption of the SWRN law in the form proposed by the Ministry of Finance may produce results other than desired. Instead of increasing the involvement of domestic capital in the real estate market, SWRNsmay be used to support tax evasion and effectively stop the development of the real estate investment funds market in Poland. Therefore, in order to eliminate these dangers, certain modifications of the rules of the operation of SWRNs based on SWRN law and changes in the manner of operation of the existing real estate investment funds in Poland as well as solutions used in European countries were proposed.
W połowie 2016 r. podjęto pierwszą, nieudaną próbę wprowadzenia funduszy REITs do Polski. Kilka miesięcy później (maj 2017 r.) Ministerstwo Finansów przedstawiło poprawiony projekt ustawy o spółkach wynajmu rynku nieruchomości (SWRN), których konstrukcja jest zbliżona do REITs. Zdaniem podmiotów opiniujących projekt ustawy o SWRN i zdaniem autora przyjęcie ustawy w proponowanej formie może przynieść inne rezultaty, niż są zakładane przez projektodawcę. Zamiast zwiększenia zaangażowania krajowego kapitału na rynku nieruchomości, można spodziewać się wykorzystywania SWRN do optymalizacji podatkowej i zahamowania rozwoju rynku funduszy nieruchomości w Polsce. Dlatego też w celu wyeliminowania tych zagrożeń w artykule przedstawiono potencjalne bariery rozwoju rynku SWRN. Zaproponowano także zmiany w konstrukcji SWRN z uwzględnieniem zasady działalności istniejących do tej pory funduszy nieruchomości i rozwiązań stosowanych w różnych krajach europejskich, co może przyczynić się do zwiększenia atrakcyjności inwestycji pośrednich na rynku nieruchomości.

This paper presents an overview of scanning-gate microscopy applied to the imaging of electron transport through buried semiconductor nanostructures. After a brief description of the technique and of its possible artifacts, we give a summary of some of its most instructive achievements found in the literature and we present an updated review of our own research. It focuses on the imaging of GaInAs-based quantum rings both in the low magnetic field Aharonov-Bohm regime and in the high-field quantum Hall regime. In all of the given examples, we emphasize how a local-probe approach is able to shed new, or complementary, light on transport phenomena which are usually studied by means of macroscopic conductance measurements.

The temperature dependences of electric conductivity σ, the Hall coefficient R of $p-Ag_{2}Te$ in 4.2-200 K temperature interval for acceptor concentration $N_{a} ≤ 6 × 10^{16} cm^{-3}$ were investigated. The minimum σ(T) was observed for all samples in ≈50÷80 K temperature interval. It was observed that the depth of minimum is increased with $N_{a}$ decrease. It was shown that the part resonance scattering of electrons in minimum of σ(T) and maximum of $|α_{n} (T)|$ region is 16-18%.

Opis:
The results of photoemission and optical studies of icosahedral single-grain ZnMgEr quasicrystals are presented. Synchrotron radiation photoemission measurements were performed on in situ cleaved samples at 10$\text{}^{-10}$ mbar pressure and low, 140-150 K temperature. The valence band photoemission spectra measured reveal a simple metal-type valence band of icosahedral ZnMgEr with a distinct Fermi edge cut-off and with a sharp pseudogap feature. The photoemission spectra of shallow Mg 2p and Zn 3d core levels indicate a coordination shift of Mg 2p spin-orbit doublet and an oscillating dependence of Zn 3d photoemission line components on the photon energy within the hν=20-160 eV range investigated. The optical response of icosahedral ZnMgEr, a dispersion of the dielectric function, was measured by the spectroscopic ellipsometry technique in the 0.5-5.0 eV spectral range. The optical spectra of the quasicrystal indicate the Drude-type optical response superimposed with a peak of interband optical transitions. The interband optical transitions can be modelled with the pseudogap parameters which agree with those deduced in an analysis of the photoemission valence band spectra.
