This paper is an attempt to describe the influence of digitization of the contemporary world on the language by analyzing some metaphors of the Internet. It refers to various theories concerning the ways of perceiving and understanding the world, and its linguistic interpretation. It enumerates some cognitive processes and as consequence conceptual constructs, such as e.g. category, frame, metaphor, imaginative schemes such as figure-ground structure, radial structures, relational structures, mental spaces, and arrives to the experience, the conceptualization and definition of meaning as not only the conceptual content, but also as one of the ways to build that content. It also mentions the notion of linguistic image of the world with respect to the virtual reality and all the social and linguistic changes that result from it.

Siamo abituati ad osservare la persona e l’insegnamento di Gesù dal punto di vista profetico: in Gesù, vale a dire, si realizzarono tutte la profezie veterotestamentarie. È plausibile affermare che in Lui si siano compiuti anche gli scritti sapienziali dell’Antico Testamento? La Bibbia ebraica usa diversi termini per esprimere l’idea della sapienza, tra questi, i più usati sono quelli con radice ḥkm, che si riferiscono tanto alla sapienza e alle capacità umane quanto alla sapienza che proviene da Dio. Nel corso della storia del pensiero veterotestamentario l’idea della sapienza fu personificata e immaginata come un essere di sesso femminile: una donna giovane che attira l’attenzione dei giovani, una donna vecchia che conosce bene la vita, una sorella, una moglie o una fidanzata. Nei testi biblici si possono notare delle tensioni nell’immagine della sapienza personificata: infatti Essa è contemporaneamente umana e divina, creata ed eterna. Queste tensioni sono l’evidente testimonianza di come gli agiografi intuissero che nella Sapienza Divina c’era molto più di quanto la loro fede monoteistica permettesse loro di esprimere e cioè il mistero della Sapienza Divina che sarà poi rivelato nel Nuovo Testamento: Gesù Cristo che col suo insegnamento, portò alla perfezione la sapienza umana, e nel contempo rivelò se stesso quale vera Sapienza di Dio personificata.

The traditional interpretation of Eleatism has it (1) that Melissus was a disciple of Parmenides (albeit with some divergences) and (2) that Parmenides believed in the timeless eternity of Being. It seems, on the contrary, (3) that Melissus acknowledged the reality of time by conceiving eternity as infinite time. Failing to justify this particular divergence from Parmenides’ approach, certain authors held that it was necessary to reinterpret the Melissan eternity as a form of infinite timelessness. This paper attempts to demonstrate that this reading is groundless and that if the traditional interpretation is questioned then one should reconsider the assumptions (1) and (2) but not (3).

When commenting on Aristotle Ph. 1.3, 187a1, Simplicius in Ph. 1.3, 146, 29–147,2 establishes an equivalence between the shining «silver egg» (ὤεον ἀργύφεον) of Orpheus (fr. 70 Kern) and the Parmenidean being or, rather, one of the determinations with which Parmenides, in the section of his Poem devoted to the so-called Way of Truth, indicates the ἐόν, i.e., «resembling the mass of a well-rounded sphere» (εὐκύκλου σφαίρης ἐναλίγκιον ὄγκωι – DK 28 B 8.43). The equivalence established here is found in the great digression about Parmenides (in Ph. 142, 28–148, 24), where Simplicius puts forward an interpretation of Parmenides that identifies the Parmenidean being-one (τὸ ἓν ὄν) with the intelligible (τὸ νοητόν), which, in another passages of the same commentary, is also qualified with the metaphysical concept of “unified” (τὸ ἡνωμένον) that is taken from Damascius. The aim of the present paper is to trace back the Neo-Platonic assumptions of this identification. In particular, we will focus on Damascius Pr. 2.55.40, 14–19 and 3.123.160, 1–3 Westerink, since these passages contain insights into the Orphic theology that is referred to as “usual”, “common” or “rhapsodic”, as well as a contextual “translation” of various Orphic concepts (e.g. ὤεον ἀργύφεον) in terms of Neo-Platonic metaphysics. The metaphysical transposition of the mythical image of the silver egg goes back, however, to Proclus (in Ti. 1.428, 8–9), who assumes the identity between Plato’s being (“being in the primary sense”, τὸ πρώτως [...] ὄν) and the Orphic egg (ταὐτὸν τό τε Πλάτωνος ὂν καὶ τὸ Ὀρφικὸν ὠόν). One cannot, at the same time, exclude a priori the possibility that the Orphic motif of the silver egg circulated in the Magna Graecia of Parmenides already from at least the 6th century BC. It is possible, as Colli hypothesised, that already Ibycus (who certainly knew Orpheus, fr. 25 Page) betrays a certain knowledge of it in fr. 4.4–5 Page, where we find the expression ἐν ὠέωι ἀργυρέωι. This article demonstrates that Proclus and Damascius embedded the Orphic concept of ὤεον ἀργύφεον into their Neo-Platonic metaphysics by showing its potential for speculative order.

From the moment of his literary debut in 1989, Michele Mari is considered to be the representative of classic tendencies in contemporary Italian literature. One of the most noticeable characteristics of his writing is the presence of autobiographic elements which appear in all his works with different intensity, but also the archaization of style and language, literary references and metaliterary reflexions. This article aims at showing how the 1992 novel La stiva e l’abisso connects two of those aspects of Mari’s writing: intertextuality and literary references to adventure novel genre, as well as it reflects on the role and value of the literature for the contemporary people. It analyses basic narrative instances, that is the narrator, narrative structure, place and time of events, in order to show how they result in metaliterary reflexion.

Opis:
Antonio Tabucchi is one of the most representative authors of contemporary Italian literature. His output includes a short story for children entitled Isabella e l’ombra, which was illustrated by Isabella Staino and to whom the story is dedicated. Instead of relying on words to write short texts at school, the main character, a little girl named Isabella, uses colours and explains their chromatic compositions to the teacher. Undoubtedly, the writer’s pedagogical intention behind this story is for young readers to understand that literary expression does not occur only by writing but also through images and colours that can transmit as many emotions as written texts do. Moreover, the text, which can be considered a Bildungsroman for children, touches upon some topics visible in other novels and stories by Tabucchi. This paper aims to analyse the way in which Tabucchi shares some of his existential ideas with a non-adult audience, particularly regarding the relationship between various forms of language, the symbolism of colours, the power of visual communication, and the importance of such feelings as sadness, affection, and generosity.
Antonio Tabucchi è uno degli scrittori più rappresentativi della letteratura italiana contemporanea. Nella sua vasta produzione letteraria trova posto anche un breve racconto per l’infanzia, Isabella e l’ombra, accompagnato da una serie di illustrazioni eseguite dalla pittrice Isabella Staino, a cui il racconto è dedicato. La protagonista, una bambina di nome Isabella, invece di usare le parole per scrivere i propri pensierini a scuola usa i colori, in tutte le loro diverse tonalità, e spiega le sue composizioni cromatiche ad una maestra perplessa ed impressionata. È indubbio che con questo racconto lo scrittore intenda insegnare ai suoi piccoli lettori che l’espressione letteraria non avviene solamente attraverso la scrittura, ma può realizzarsi anche attraverso le immagini e i colori, i quali trasmettono emozioni quanto e forse più di un testo scritto. Inoltre il testo, che può essere definito un romanzo di formazione rivolto ai bambini, tocca tutte le tematiche dei grandi romanzi e racconti tabucchiani. In questo articolo si vuole analizzare il modo in cui Tabucchi intende trasmettere alcune delle sue idee esistenziali ad un pubblico non adulto, in particolar modo in relazione al rapporto tra le varie forme di linguaggio, alla simbologia dei colori, alla potenza della comunicazione visiva e all’importanza di alcuni sentimenti come la tristezza, l’affetto e la generosità.

Dante and the Function of Water for an Investigation of the Self. Psychosymbolic Cosmology in the Divine Comedy The famous Epistle to Cangrande written by Dante encourages us to identify the Divine Comedy as an emblematic representation of a psychotherapeutic itinerary. The principal aim of his work is in fact creating a shocking poetic impression for freeing everyone from anxiety and pain, bringing us back to the origin of that eternal joy, which was lost through the Edenic sin, by creating the jail of egoism and the consequential abandon of a global and satisfactory perception of life. Associating itself with the feminine side of the soul and the mystery of the generation of life, the water symbolism in Dante’s poem acquires various meanings and is mainly connected with the malignant or positive rivers, which directly or indirectly indicate the right orientation for going back to the splendid sea of joy: the sea of divine intellect. This last is heaven, and corresponds to a psychic state where we can live together with the vivid memories of all the best we have experienced, learned and discovered during our mortal existence. Hell is a symbol of anguish and despair; here, a psychic emblem of a potential positive transformation is constituted by a little, apparently unimportant brook, which is studied in depth for the first time in this article, revealing the fundamental importance of this emblem, capable of guaranteeing a possible defeat of evil or, more specifically, the transformation of its destructive energy into a positive magic power, which can lead us to the stars. The whole journey of the Divine Comedy appears now more clearly as a symbolic example of ante litteram psychoanalysis.

II Concilio Vaticano II ha portato una concezione nuova del matrimonio, mettendo l’accento sulla relazione interpersonale e sull’amore, chiamando il matrimonio con la formula intima communita  vitae et amoris coniugalis e portando sicuramente una piu equilibrata valutazione degli elementi dei matromio che sono l’amore ed il suo aspetto procreativo. Esclusione dell’amore chiamato dal Codice dell’83 esclusione dei „bonum coniugum” definito dalla dottrina e dalla giurisprudenza come „communitas vitae” oppure la relazione interpersona le che si crea tra i coniugi è l’esempio della simulazione parziale di tratta questo articolo. Come causa simulandi viene presentata l’immaturità affettiva che tradizionalmente viene interpretata dagli autori come causa dell’incapacità descritta dal canone 1095 CIC. Visto, però, che presentata anomalia distrugge soprattutto ogni possibilità di creare una relazione interpersonale tra i nubenti crediamo che essa possa essere interpretata come causa simulandi dell’esclusione del „bonum coniugum” fatta implicite.

Considered one of the leading proponents of natural theology in the 20th century, E. L. Mascall (1905–1993) taught philosophy and theology at King’s College London for most of his career. Unlike many of his contemporaries, he insisted that classical theism, embodied in the writings of Augustine and Thomas Aquinas, could be successfully revived for a modern audience. Known for his vigorous defense of neo-Thomism, Mascall offered an unusual interpretation of The Five Ways. While modern scholastics typically read the proofs as syllogistic exercises, Mascall maintained that God’s existence could not be deduced from premises, but must be grasped by means of a unique type of “metaphysical intuition” which he called “contuition.” In my paper, I will re-examine his position, explore his reasons for adopting it, and finally raise several questions concerning its significance for the history of neo-Thomism.

Vincenzo Consolo, in one of his interviews, said that painting is counterbalance to style in his artistic work. In fact, the fine art is a frequent motif appearing in his works. The novel titled L’olivo e l’olivastro is a great example of this kind of narration since one of the chapters depicts Caravaggio’s stay in Siracusa, as well as the consequences of this fruitful visit. Taking into account the way an olive and a wild olive sprout from the same trunk, so as to be the symbol of everything that is cultivated and what is wild, it should be noted that in the same way the heroes in Caravaggio’s paintings have the features that characterize both human beings and animals. This split is present constantly in artistic work of Caravaggio who broke the cardinal rules set out in painting. As a result, he was called both a scandalmonger and the author of the first painting transgression, as well as a highly provocative artist. Vincenzo Consolo’s prose is thought-provoking and encourages reflection on relativity of goodness and beauty in the real world which is depicted as disappointing. The citizenship of the Vatican City State is characterised by individual features relating above all to the manner in which it is conferred and its forfeiture. The introduction of the legal category of Vatican nationality has its origins in the Lateran Treaty, but it was in 1929 when Pope Pius XI promulgated the law Legge sulla cittadinanza ed il soggiorno N. III concretising this institution which has lived to see its own reorganisation over time. Based on an analysis of Vatican legislation, it is possible to conclude that the present Vatican legislation is largely updated to current needs without losing its unique characteristics. The main intention was to present whether and how Legge sulla cittadinanza, la residenzae l’accesso N.CXXXI changes Vatican citizenship and what differences can be found in the newly created law. This process was based on a comparative method of legal acts, an analysis of the literature, as well as observation of interrelationships and dependencies. On the basis of this exercise, it was determined that the 2011 law remains within the original legal framework, but that its amendment is of a practical nature, intended to give individuals freedom of action and not to lead them to the appearance of possible negative consequences associated with the loss of citizenship.
Obywatelstwo miasta-państwa Watykan charakteryzuje się indywidualnymi cechami odnoszącymi się przede wszystkim do sposobu nadawania i jego utraty. Wprowadzenie kategorii prawnej obywatelstwa watykańskiego swój początek bierze w traktacie laterańskim, jednakże papież Pius XI w 1929 r. promulgował ustawę Legge sulla cittadinanza ed il soggiorno N. III, konkretyzującą tę instytucję, która z biegiem czasu doczekała się swojego przeorganizowania. Na podstawie analizy aktów prawnych Watykanu można wysnuć tezę, że teraźniejsze prawodawstwo watykańskie w dużym stopniu aktualizuje się do obecnych potrzeb, nie tracąc przy tym swoich unikatowych cech. Głównym zamiarem było przedstawienie tego, czy i w jaki sposób Legge sulla cittadinanza, la residenza e l’accesso N.CXXXI zmienia obywatelstwo watykańskie oraz jakie różnice odnajdziemy w nowo powstałej ustawie. Proces ten oparto na metodzie komparatystycznej aktów prawnych, analizie piśmiennictwa, a także obserwacji wzajemnych związków i zależności. Na podstawie tego działania ustalono, że ustawa z 2011 r. pozostaje w pierwotnych ramach prawnych, lecz jej zmiana ma charakter praktyczny, mający dawać jednostkom swobodę w działaniu oraz nie ma ich doprowadzać do pojawienia się ewentualnych negatywnych skutków związanych z utratą obywatelstwa.

Of all American paradoxes, none is greater than this: that the typical American cherishes free speech but is almost mortally offended by public protest, which he regards as at best lacking in taste and at worst an outright crime. A nation founded on dissent, America is exquisitely uncomfortable with ill-mannered disagreement. More than freedom itself, an American is likely to value moral insularity and absolution: he wants to live his life free from ethical challenge. He seeks suburban anesthesia, a life of commercial abundance untroubled by the pain inflicted elsewhere to maintain it, whether through military aggression or the global exploitation of labor. The American hopes to be reminded that he is good and blameless - and quickly condemns his critics as envious or mad or driven by dark agendas. As by an unwritten law, he denounces protest as an offense against his amour propre. This condemnation, ipso facto, makes a figurative criminal of the protester, who, when her efforts are scorned, finds herself not trying to persuade, but acting in a spirit of resentment and self-vindication. She sees any act by her countryman that does not challenge the social system as intolerable evidence of complicity and collaboration. The spirit of compromise vanishes, and the protester risks falling into the attitude described by Philip Roth as “the American berserk.” My address examines this process of polarization through three indispensable American novels of protest: Norman Mailer’s Armies of the Night; E.L. Doctorow’s The Book of Daniel; and Philip Roth’s American Pastoral.

r jle fillin are Jewish prayer phylacteries made out J- of un-tanned animal hide. They comprise two black painted, closed boxes, stitched along the edges and containing fragments of the Torah written on strips of parchment. Straps of tanned leather, painted black on the outside, are affixed to the boxes and are used for placing them on the body - one box is attached above the forehead (tefillin shel rosh), and the other - on the upper left arm (tefillin shel yad). The tradition of the tefillin, worn by pious Jews, goes back to antiquity. The phylacteries can be encountered in private collection and at auctions. Unfortunately, the state of their preservation is often highly unsatisfactory and calls for conservation and restoration as well as suitable storage conditions. The article discusses the outcome of studies on the state of the preservation of exhibits featured at the Museum in Chrzanów - the Urbańczyk I louse and the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim as well as in private collections, and analyses the reasons for the damage. The conducted research demonstrated the presence of numerous tvpes of damage, such as deformations, cracks, chipped black paint, dust, scratches and gaps. One of the most important causes involves unstable storage conditions.

The paper concerns the two basic concepts of E.L. Mascall's metaphysics, the contemporary English Thomist. He drew upon Gilson's interpretation of the doctrine of St Thomas Aquinas. The first part describes the contingency of being which, according to Mascall, is supposed to consist in a total dependency of the existence and nature of the world on the free will of God. This fact makes it impossible to give a final answer to the question: why does the world exist? Since the man is able neither to discover the reasons nor the motives of God's activity.

The second part of the article concerns the notion of openness of the created beings which was introduced and broadly interpreted by E. L. Mascall as an attempt at annulation of the accusation of a static conception of being (substance) directed against Thomism. Openness of beings consists in the passive ability to accept unlimited gifts from God that creatures have. This openness characterizes man in a special way enabling him to accept the Divine Revelation or even taking part in God’s inner life. These findings from a philosophical theory which is excessively useful in interpreting such notions of the Christian religion as Incarnation or supernatural grace.

The aim of this paper is to offer a comprehensive review of Polish research on translations of children’s and young adult literature. In the first part, I outline which disciplines are represented by Polish researchers who specialise in this subdiscipline, and then I present in chronological order the development of research from the 1960s, through the fertile period of the turn of the millennium, to the most recent years. Furthermore, I outline the general trends and orientations visible in research on this type of translation, placing particular attention on Polish researchers’ references to general research in Translation Studies.
L’obiettivo del presente articolo è quello di offrire un’ampia rassegna degli studi polacchi sulle traduzioni di letteratura per l’infanzia e l’adolescenza. Nella prima parte l’autrice specifica quali sono le discipline della scienza rappresentate dagli studiosi che si occupano di tale subdisciplina, per poi passare in rassegna cronologica lo sviluppo delle ricerche, dalla fase iniziale negli anni Sessanta fino ai tempi più recenti. Vengono individuate inoltre tendenze generali e ambiti di ricerca che si possono notare negli studi su tale tipologia di traduzioni, con un’attenzione particolare nei confronti dei richiami, da parte degli studiosi polacchi, alle ricerche inerenti alla scienza della traduzione.

L’8 dicembre 2018 al santuario della BVM a Gietrzwałd in Varmia (nord-est della Polonia), le parole dell’arcivescovo di Szczecin mons. Andrzej Dzięga, hanno ispirato e stimolato l’autore dell’articolo a fare almeno un primo passo ed aprire la discussione sulla questione dell’Europa, delle sue radici, della sua identità, della sua originale unità nel contesto attuale. Il tema è tanto urgente in quanto oggi appare evidente la crisi vissuta dall’Europa caratterizzata da una forte destabilizzazione culturale, religiosa, antropologica. Questo problema è stato molto approfondito da Giovanni Paolo II e dai suoi innumerevoli impegni e sforzi per ricordare ed indicare all’Europa l’unica via salutare ed efficace per tornare ad essere se stessa: il cristianesimo. A dimostrazione del suo interesse per le sorti dell’Europa, Giovanni Paolo II, nel 1980 ha proclamato co-patroni dell’Europa i santi Cirillo e Metodio, Cinque anni dopo, nel 1985,con la sua quarta enciclica, ha voluto riportare le figure di questi due santi evangelizzatori dei popoli slavi, come esempio dell’impegno profuso per l’unità e l’identità del Vecchio Continente.
December 8, 2018 in the Warmia Shrine of Our Lady of Gietrzwałd (Poland), Metropolitan of Szczecin Archbishop Andrzej Dzięga said words that became the inspiration for the author of this article to reflect on the issue of Europe, its roots, identity and unity in the current historical context. The subject seems all the more important, the more evident is the evident crisis experienced in Europe, in various areas of its life: cultural, social, religious, and anthropological. This problem was the subject of many reflections of John Paul II to the extent that the pope Pole in a determined way engaged and made great effort to show Europe that the only effective and sure way to renew the continent is to return to its sources, primarily to Christianity. An expression of his concern and activity to remind Europeans of their identity and unity was the establish 1980 of the Saints Cyril and Methodius, co-patrons of Europe. Five years later, in 1985, in his fourth encyclical, John Paul II recalled the figures of these holy evangelizers among the Slav peoples as a model of authentic and proper action for the good of Europe, the restoration of its identity and unity.

Odrzucają oni każdy rodzaj paradygmatu, który oferuje czytelnikowi iluzję wszechświata rządzonego przez określony porządek, w to miejsce koncentrują swój narracyjny wysiłek na spotkaniu z migotliwością istnienia, nieuporządkowanego we wszystkich swoich przejawach. Praca Luki Alvina jest przejrzysta i płynna i oferuje nie tylko precyzyjną i jasną analizę badanej literatury, ale również – rozsiane mniej lub bardziej przypadkowo – wskazówki umożliwiające czytelnikowi zastosowanie ukazanego rozumowania do innych autorów oraz innych niż literatura rodzajów sztuki, finalnie sugerując mu reorientację sposobu podejścia do otaczającego nas świata i jego ekspresji.
Il dettaglio e l’infinito by Luca Alvino is a collection of short critical essays dedicated to three famous novelists, Ph. Roth, A. Yehoshua and J. Salter, who devote their creative effort, according to Alvino, to chaos and the minutiae of human existence. They reject any delusional paradigm of a universe governed by order, instead focusing their narrative attention on the flickering dynamism of existence, unorderly in all its manifestations. Luca Alvino’s prose is transparent and fluid, and his work offers not only a precise and clear analysis of the literature examined, but also more or less occasional hints that encourage the reader to apply the same reasoning to other authors and arts other than literature, eventually suggesting glimpses of an alternative way of approaching the world surrounding us and its expression.

The NATO Munitions Safety Information Analysis Center (MSIAC) is a multinational collaboration that collects, stores, and analyses technical information related to Munitions Safety (MS) and Insensitive Munitions (IM). This paper and presentation will provide an overview of MSIAC’s recent achievements in advancing munition safety efforts on behalf of its member nations. MSIAC supports its member nations through a variety of products and services. Poland is anticipated to become a member nation near the end of 2016. In addition to a core responsibility of addressing technical questions related to Munitions Safety posed by nations, MSIAC has a diverse programme of work aimed at developing and sharing the related underpinning scientific knowledge. This is then applied to support policy implementation and development related to munition safety. Some examples of current activities are given in this paper as well as future activities.

In this paper, we analyze the influence of the temperature of growth of epitaxial layers during their growth. Conditions are formulated under which the homogeneity of the properties of the epitaxial layers increases. An analytical approach for the analysis of mass and heat transfer is proposed, allowing at the same time to take into account changes in the parameters of processes both in space and in time, as well as nonlinearity of these processes.
W artykule opisano analizę wpływu temperatury na wzrost epitaksjalnych warstw w procesie technologicznym. Sformułowano szereg warunków dla poprawy jednorodności badanych warstw. Wprowadzono analityczne rozwiązanie dla równania transportu masy i ciepła. To rozwiązanie umożliwiło uwzględnienie zmian parametrów procesu zarówno w przestrzeni jak i w czasie. Ponadto przeprowadzone rozwiązanie pozwoliło na uwzględnienie nieliniowości badanego procesu.

This paper proposes a model for the analysis of spelling mistakes that Slovene speakers make in written production in Italian as FL/L2. This model is based on a grid produced by other authors and adapted for the specific needs of the present research. The grid comprises four categories: phonological errors, non-phonological errors, phonetic errors, and punctuation errors. Each category is further divided into sub-categories. The aim of the research is to discover which category yields more errors and what their origin is, in order to propose scientific bases for improvements in teaching Italian to Slovene students. The conclusion is that students and teachers have to deal with first-language interference as well as negative transfer from English as FL/L2, another foreign language that students acquire, and universal strategies comprising generalisation, simplification, and regularisation.
Il presente articolo propone un modello per l’analisi di errori ortografici che L1 sloveni commettono nella produzione scritta in italiano L2/LS. Questo modello si basa su una griglia ideata da altri autori e adattata alle esigenze specifiche della ricerca presentata in questo contributo. La griglia comprende quattro categorie: errori fonologici, non fonologici, fonetici e di interpunzione. Ogni categoria è ulteriormente suddivisa in sottocategorie. L’obiettivo del presente contributo è scoprire quale categoria sia la più rappresentata e quale sia l’origine per proporre delle basi scientifiche sulle quali si potrà migliorare l’insegnamento dell’italiano a slovenofoni. La conclusione è che gli apprendenti e i docenti si devono confrontare con l’interferenza dalla L1, con il transfer negativo dall’inglese L2/LS e con le strategie universali comprendenti la generalizzazione, la semplificazione e la regolarizzazione.

Abbracciando la questione dell’utilità dell’italianistica nello studio comparato delle lettere, l’osservazione riguarda il problema dell’irradiarsi della cultura italiana nella civiltà europea attraverso temi e immagini comuni, la sua funzione ispiratrice per il corpus transnazionale di generi e di modelli artistici, e infine, l’intervento si riferisce anche al significato della letteratura e dell’arte italiana per la memoria culturale contemporanea, in particolare quella polacca, anch’essa ispirata da Dante.
Złożony z pięciu fragmentów szkic poświęcony jest roli i znaczeniu kompetencji italianistycznych w warsztacie komparatystycznym. Rozpiętość italotematycznych badań porównawczych wskazują kolejno: refleksja nad tradycją podróży włoskiej (obejmująca problematykę intertekstualności, promieniowania wzorców literackich i artystycznych, zagadnienie „mitu Italii” i italianizmu w różnych epokach literackich), ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem włoskich wątków pisarstwa Stanisława Vincenza; następnie rozważania dotyczące genologii (tradycja sonetu i oktawy w literaturze polskiej) oraz przekładu jako obszarów wzajemnego oddziaływania literatur (w tym polskiej jako przyjmującej włoskie modele literackie – przypadek Juliusza Słowackiego – i oddziałującej na piśmiennictwo włoskie – przypadek Wisławy Szymborskiej). Odrębnym sygnalizowanym wątkiem jest zagadnienie recepcji Dantego w polskiej (i europejskiej) tradycji kulturowej (petrarkizm Felicjana Faleńskiego; fascynacje polskich romantyków Boską komedią).

Biomaterials for bone regeneration have predominantly been fabricated from inorganic substances such as various forms of calcium phosphate (CaP), e.g. hydroxyapatite, tricalcium phosphate and brushite. CaP materials are mechanical stable and bioactive, i.e. they form a direct bone with surrounding bone tissue. However, such pure CaP materials have certain drawbacks. They are brittle, difficult to handle in granulate form and difficult to shape in block form. Furthermore, the incorporation of biologically active substances is not easy. Hydrogels are highly hydrated three-dimensional polymer networks that are formed by crosslinking of polymer chains in solution. Hydrogels have been widely used as vehicles for drug delivery and are being used increasingly as biomaterials for tissue regeneration. As their main component is water, they have many advantages over pure inorganic materials. Firstly, the incorporation of water-soluble biologically active substances to promote tissue growth (e.g. growth factors) or to combat infection (e.g. antibiotics) is straightforward. Secondly, they are much less brittle. Thirdly, they can be implanted in a minimally invasive manner by injection, as they can undergo gelation, i.e. the transition from liquid to solid, after injection. However, their main disadvantage also stems from the fact that the mail component is water: hydrogels are mechanically weak. In order to combine the advantages of inorganic and hydrogel biomaterials, attention has recently been focused on the development of composites on the basis of mineralized hydrogels. Several strategies have been tried [1]. The most common strategy is the addition of preformed inorganic particles to the polymer solution before gelation, after which the particles remain entrapped in the crosslinked polymer network. Ideally, the particles can be distributed homogeneously in the hydrogel. The gelation process can be induced by addition of inorganic particles. For example, the addition of bioactive glass particles to a solution of the anionic polysaccharide gellan gum results in hydrogel formation due to release of ions from the particles [2]. In other words, the particles serve as an “ion-delivery system” to provide homogeneous gelation. Another strategy is to promote precipitation of the inorganic phase in the hydrogel by increasing the concentration of ions. This can be achieved biomimetically using the enzyme alkaline phosphatase (ALP) which is responsible for the mineralization of bone tissue in vivo by cleaving phosphate ions from organophosphate and thus increasing the local phosphate concentration, which in turn promotes CaP precipitation [3]. Yet another strategy is the incorporation of calcium- or phosphate-binding molecules in the hydrogel, in order to increase localion concentrations and promote CaP precipitation. Once such biomolecule is polydopamine, which binds calcium ions [4]. An added flexibility of mineralized hydrogels is the possibility of manipulation of either the hydrogel phase, or the inorganic phase, or both. For example, in the case of a hydrogel mineralized with CaP, the inorganic phase may be modified by incorporation of magnesium in order to promote adhesion and proliferation of bone-forming cells [5], or by incorporation of zinc in order to endow antibacterial activity [6]. Alternatively, the hydrogel phase may be modified by incorporation of biologically active molecules such as polyphenols, which both bind calcium ions and exhibit antibacterial activity [7]. Mineralization strategies will be illustrated on the basis of previous work [1-7].

The paper outlines the publishing history of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Quo Vadis in Italian editions for children and young adults in the 20th century. The research conducted so far has shown that Sienkiewicz’s novel was part of Italian publications for a young readership as early as at the beginning of the 20th century, and that the book was frequently republished and reedited by numerous publishing houses over the following decades. The paper aims to present the strategies applied by Italian publishers as they recast Sienkiewicz’s work into versions specifically targeting young readers. Sienkiewicz’s Roman narrative proved a source of easy revenue for many publishing houses. Discreditable translatory practices were, at least at the beginning of the 20th century, mainly the domain of Milanese publishers whose efforts also focused on reworkings of Quo Vadis for children and young adults after the Second World War. The paper discusses examples that vividly illustrate the commercialisation of literature and publishers’ responses to the changes of the Italian publishing market in the second half of the 20th century. The findings of a study that used quantitative methods to analyse the corpus of 18 Italian editions of Quo Vadis are presented as well.
L’articolo abbozza la storia delle edizioni italiane per ragazzi e adolescenti di Quo vadis di Henryk Sienkiewicz nel XX secolo. Sulla base delle ricerche finora svolte, è stato accertato che l’opera di Sienkiewicz comparve nell’offerta editoriale italiana rivolta ai giovani lettori già dall’inizio del Novecento, e poi per molti decenni fu volentieri riproposta da numerose case editrici. L’obiettivo dell’articolo è quello di indicare le strategie degli editori italiani che, pensando ai giovani lettori, portarono alla realizzazione di nuove versioni dell’opera di Sienkiewicz. La trama romana del romanzo di Sienkiewicz si rivelò una fonte di facile guadagno per molte case editrici e in ambito di pratiche traduttive ingloriose si distinsero, almeno all’inizio del Novecento, gli editori milanesi, offrendo, soprattutto dopo la Seconda guerra mondiale, anche rifacimenti e riadattamenti di Quo vadis per il giovane pubblico. Gli esempi riportati nel testo illustrano anche il processo di commercializzazione della letteratura e le risposte degli editori all’evoluzione del mercato editoriale italiano nella seconda metà del XX secolo. L’articolo presenta anche i risultati della ricerca sul corpus di 18 edizioni italiane di Quo vadis con l’applicazione dei metodi quantitativi selezionati. Localization is a fundamental problem of autonomous mobile robots. Localization is the determination of the position and orientation of a robot. Most localization systems are made up of several sensors and a map of the environment. Sophisticated localization systems can solve both the global location problem and the kid-napped robot problem. Global localization is the process of placing the robot into an unknown location within the map, and the robot should be able to locate itself within a relatively short period of time. The kidnapped robot problem is similar to global localization, as it is a test of how well the robot is able to recover after becoming lost. The robot is “teleported” to a new location, and the robot should again be able to determine its new location within a relatively short amount of time. CReSIS (Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets) is developing autonomous robots in an effort to measure ice sheets characteristics in Greenland and Antarctica. These robots currently rely on differential GPS for localization and navigation. In order to survive for long periods of time in these environments, however, the robots need to be able to return to campsites in order to refuel and unload the data that has been acquired. In order to perform this task effectively and safely, a more elaborate system is required. A localization system that can recognize the dfferent locations of the campsites is the beginning of this process. The approach is to use a single camera for use in multiple types of large-scale environments, indoors and outdoors using a topological map. The system described uses an appearance-based approach for recognizing the different locations. The appearance-based methods attempt to recognize the appearance of a scene rather than specific objects. Several different types of features are tested including histograms, eigenimages, and Hu Moments. Using these simple features, the system is able to determine its location within the map at 95% accuracy.

This paper is devoted to the problems of teaching Italian language at an advanced level in the context of the internal diversification of Italian language: diatopic variation, diastratic variation, diamesic variation, diaphasic variation. In the process of language acquisition the so called Variation Awareness plays a vital role. It allows the learner – aided by the teacher – to attain communicative competence in the broad sense of its meaning. In case of teaching at an advanced level, the emphasis must be put not only on the grammatical correctness, but also, and mainly, on the ability to properly relate the message to the context it appears in, moreover, the kind of message – oral or written – must be taken into account. In relation to the linguistic situation in contemporary Italy, it is also important to draw the attention of a learner to diatopic variations (linguistic regional variations) as well as diastratic ones (matching the message to the social status of the interlocutor ). In the final part of the article there are specific suggestions of how to make use of available sources, so as to enable a combination of theory and practice.

In Parmenides’ B 8 37–41, we find a question that raises a difficult problem: how can Parmenides handle the opposition between “being and not” (i.e. being and not being) in the same way as the oppositions which characterize the mortals’ opinions? This question is especially relevant for answering the following theoretical question: how do we to treat the fundamental philosophical question of oppositions at large? To answer these question we need to reinterpret some major points of Parmenides’ thought: the second part of his poem, but also the identification of πέλειν and εἶναι in B 6 8, as well as other passages of the poem. But, above all, the question makes us introduce some distinctions within the concept of negation and, consequently, between difference and negation. This allows us to distinguish the affirmation of the truth of being from the negation of the negation of being (i.e. the negation of nonbeing). This distinction has a major philosophical relevance, as can be seen by referring it to such thinkers as Plato, Hegel and Heidegger.

Lo scopo dell’articolo è di segnalare l’importanza dell’ultima produzione in versi del poeta siciliano Nino De Vita considerato una delle voci liriche e narrative più originali nell’ambito della poesia dialettale e della letteratura in lingua italiana. La riflessione verrà articolata attorno al poemetto devitiano A ccanciu ri Maria pubblicato nel 2015 che coincide con la pubblicazione dell’Antologia bilingue del poeta percepita nei termini di un vero e proprio evento editoriale. Un evento che copre oltre trent’anni dell’attività poetica e narrativa segnata da un continuo intrecciarsi dell’esperienza di vita e di scrittura “in latitanza”.
Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na ostatnie dokonania sycylijskiego poety Nina De Vity, uważanego za jeden z najbardziej oryginalnych głosów poetyckich – zarówno w pisarstwie dialektalnym, jak i w literaturze włoskiej. Refleksja dotyczy jego ostatniego opowiadania, pisanego wierszem A ccanciu ri Maria (W zamian za Marię), które ukazało się w 2015 roku. Publikacja ta zbiega się w czasie z innym ważnym wydarzeniem edytorskim, a mianowicie z ukazaniem się dwujęzycznej antologii obejmującej 30 lat twórczości poetyckiej i narracyjnej De Vity, naznaczonej nieustannym przenikaniem się doświadczeń życia i pisania „w ukryciu”.

Dla Asyryjskiego Kościoła Wschodu V wiek stał się okresem przełomowym, w niektórzej mierze zmieniwszym wizerunek duchowo-teologiczny tego Kościoła. Chodzi o tłumaczeniu z języka greckiego na syryjski tekstów filozoficznych i dzieł Ojców greckich. Elementy duchowości greckiej stopniowo przenikały w syryjskie środowisko monastyczne, zostawiając na nim swój odbitek. W artykule w sposób panoramiczny przedstawiono wpływ greckiej tradycji ascetycznej na duchowość syryjską, na przykładzie doktryny autora duchowego z VIII w. Józefa Ḥazzāyā, uznawanego za systematyzatora całego syryjskiego doświadczenia duchowo-mistycznego. Doktryna Ḥazzāyā kształtowała się, niewątpliwie, na gruncie jego własnej tradycji syryjskiej, a również pod wpływem wielkich autorytetów duchowych innych tradycji: Ewagriusza z Pontu, Makarego Egipskiego, Jana z Apamei. U nich Józef zapożyczył pojęcia kluczowe swojej doktryny, po raz pierwszy wprowadzając tak zwaną trzystopniową syntezę życia duchowego, zawierającą rozpatrywane w artykule różne elementy.
For the Assyrian Church of the East, the 5th century became a turning point, which somewhat changed the spiritual and theological face of this Church. It marked the beginning of translations of the philosophical texts and works of the Greek Fathers from Greek into the Syriac language. Some elements of the Greek spirituality gradually penetrated into the Syriac monastic environment, leaving its imprint on it. This article presents a panoramic view of the influence of the Greek ascetic tradition on the Syriac spirituality, as exemplified by the teachings of Joseph Ḥazzāyā, a spiritual author of the 8th century, who is considered to be a systematizer of all Syriac spiritual and mystical experiences. The teaching of Ḥazzāyā was, without a doubt formed, on the basis of his own Syriac tradition, as well as under the influence of great spiritual authorities of other traditions: Evagrius of Pontus, Macarius of Egypt, and John of Apamea. From them, Joseph borrowed the key concepts of his doctrine, formulating it for the first time in the so-called three-stage synthesis of spiritual life, covering various elements that are analyzed in this article.

In 1837, when Giacomo Leopardi received a letter from Luigi de Sinner, in which his Swiss friend informed him that the first unabridged version of the Canti in German had been published, the poet was most probably unaware that in the preface the translator compared him to Adam Mickiewicz. What the two great romantic poets had in common was the love of the country and the idea of fighting for independence. The article aims to present this affinity, underlined by the first German translator of their works in 1837, but so far neglected by the critics.

The procedure is based on the ratio of low to high kinetic energy Auger signals from the substrate alone, therefore it does not require a direct measurement of adsorbate peaks. It may be of special interest in cases where the adsorbate signal is difficult or impossible to measure, as well as when adsorbate and substrate peaks overlap or when peaks are absent (H or He) or of low intensity. The method is tested by quantification of sulphur layer on the Ni(001) and on the polycrystalline iron surface.

Teresa Bandettini Landucci (1763–1837) was a dancer, poet, and above all amongst the most acclaimed composers of extemporaneous verse in the late 18 th century. Yet her legacy is all but forgotten, her name virtually unmentioned in histories of literature. Such an omission is a result of the general dismissal of female writing in literary history; but, in the case of Bandettini, it is all the more pronounced because she was an improviser. The aim of this study is to show that, firstly, in the 18 th century, the profession of improvisation was one of the few cultural fields in which women could attain celebrity; and secondly, that the Western emphasis on the written word over orality, on printed documents over ephemeral performances, has meant that improvisation as a performative art has received little recognition or cultural legitimacy. The art of improvisation experienced a golden age in the second half of the 18 th century. This depended upon an expression of enthusiasm within an impromptu performance, characterised by physical presence, the staging of the self, and the involvement of the public. The immediacy of the performance and the authenticity of the artist were decisive elements of this type of performance, though they were rarely recognised within a culture of literacy. Moreover, the transcription and publication of improvised poems could never communicate the nature of these performances and their cultural impact, in part because the oral nature of these texts was considered to be subordinate to meditated poetry. The marginalisation of Bandettini in literary history can therefore be ascribed to the dismissal of categories such as performance, orality, and ephemerality.
Teresa Bandettini (1763–1837) è stata una ballerina e poetessa e soprattutto un’improvvisatrice tra i più acclamati poeti estemporanei alla fine del Settecento. Della gloria di quest’epoca, nella memoria culturale odierna non resta alcuna traccia, e il nome della poetessa improvvisatrice è quasi sparito dalle storie letterarie. A spiegare questa degenerazione del prestigio si può certamente addurre l’inadeguata rappresentazione della scrittura femminile nella memoria storica in generale, ma nel caso specifico di Teresa Bandettini sono due aspetti strettamente collegati tra di loro che hanno portato all’emarginazione dell’artista: essere donna ed essere improvvisatrice. Scopo della presente indagine è di mostrare che da un lato, nel Settecento, il mestiere dell’improvvisazione è uno dei pochi campi culturali nei quali anche le donne possono raggiungere celebrità e notorietà, mentre dall’altro l’improvvisazione come arte performativa non è mai entrata nella memoria culturale occidentale, fondata sulla priorità dello scritto sull’oralità, su documenti stampati e non su fenomeni effimeri, tra cui tutte le varietà di performances. L’improvvisazione, che visse la sua età aurea nella seconda metà del Settecento in rapporto con il concetto dell’entusiasmo è una performance estemporanea caratterizzata dalla presenza fisica, dalla messa in scena del proprio io e dal coinvolgimento del pubblico. L’immediatezza dell’esibizione e l’autenticità dell’artista sono elementi decisivi in questo tipo di prestazione, e tuttavia poco rilevanti per una cultura dello scritto e del duraturo. L’eventuale trascrizione e pubblicazione delle poesie improvvisate non riescono a rimediare alla situazione, perché il carattere orale dei testi è percepito come fenomeno subalterno rispetto alla poesia meditata. L’emarginazione nella storia letteraria della a suo tempo famosissima improvvisatrice Teresa Bandettini può dunque essere ricondotta alla scarsa valorizzazione delle categorie del performativo, dell’orale e dell’effimero.

Echinochloa crus-galli and E. colona are serious weeds around the world. Morphological and biochemical features of aquatic and aerobic forms of both species were investigated experimentally by transplanting the seedlings reciprocally between water-saturated and aerobic soils (70% field capacity). When the plants were grown in water-saturated soil, a significant decrease in tiller height was observed in E. crus-galli, but not in E. colona. Upon growing the plants in aerobic soil, internode length and spike dry weight increased significantly in E. crus-galli, but decreased significantly in E. colona. Growth under aerobic condition caused a significant increase in PEPC/Rubisco ratio, but a significant decrease was observed under water-saturated conditions. When E. crus-galli was transplanted in aerobic soil, several forms of peroxidase were upregulated. Contrarily, in E. colona peroxidase isoforms did not respond to habitat change. Gene expression of ADH in E. colona was constitutive at a fairly high level under native habitats then enhanced with reversing habitat that caused anoxic and mild drought conditions. Both species tend to grow faster under aerobic conditions by modifying the photosynthetic machinery and capacity of scavenging of reactive oxygen species. Furthermore, ADH appears to play a role in supporting growth under water-saturated conditions.

The paper offers a contextual reflection on how the ‘Polish refugee’ figure is rendered in two examples of 19 th - and 20 th -century Italian literature. The paper opens with a brief discussion of the term ‘myth’ and its meanings in the age of Digital Humanities and proceeds to outline the literary and non-literary sources of the European myth of Poles as victims of foreign violence. Having given some attention to Edmondo de Amicis’s early poems addressing the 1863 uprising in Poland, the argument then focuses on his short story ‘Profughi polacchi’ (1863) as establishing the pattern of representing Polish emigrants in modern literature. Subsequently, the ways in which this narrative pattern changes in Edoardo Albinati’s novel "Polacco lavatore di vetri" (1998) are analysed to show that the idealised vision of the ‘refugee’ collapses. In conclusion, the dynamics of the presence and productivity of the myth in literature and in journalism are emphasised, and the differences in the handling of the myth in these two forms of writing are highlighted.
Diviso in sei parti, il saggio abbraccia il problema dell’immagine della Polonia e dei polacchi nella produzione di due autori appartenenti a due momenti storici diversi: a quello del 1863 (Edmondo de Amicis) e a quello del 1989 (Edoardo Albinati). La ricerca tematologica si concentra sulla figura del ‘profugo polacco’ e indaga sulla sua presenza nella letteratura italiana. Nel testo vengono brevemente presentate le fonti letterarie ed extra-letterarie del mito europeo dei polacchi come vittime della violenza straniera. Si analizzano, inoltre, alcuni concetti fondamentali della teoria del mito antico e contemporaneo. In base a essi vengono interpretati motivi e tratti distintivi delle due narrazioni per sottolineare la loro fonte comune, cioè quella del mito eroico, trattato con molta serietà da De Amicis e contestato da Albinati, nel cui romanzo la visione idealizzata del “rifugiato” sembra crollare senza perdere però il suo alone mitologico. Infine, l’accento viene posto alla produttività del mito nella letteratura e nel giornalismo e alle loro differenze.

Basing on the consistent couple stress theory (CCST), we develop a unified size-dependent shear deformation theory to analyze the free vibration characteristics of simply supported, porous functionally graded (FG) piezoelectric microplates which resting on the Winkler-Pasternak foundation are subjected to electric voltages. Various CCST-based shear deformation theories can be reproduced by incorporating their corresponding shape functions, which characterize the through-thickness distributions of the shear deformations, into the unified size-dependent theory. The reproduced CCST-based plate theories include the classical plate theory (CPT), the first-order shear deformation plate theory (SDPT), Reddy’s refined SDPT, the sinusoidal SDPT, the exponential SDPT, and the hyperbolic SDPT. The unified size-dependent theory is subsequently used to determine the natural frequencies of simply supported, porous FG piezoelectric microplates and their corresponding vibration mode shapes. The effects of the material length scale parameter, the length-to-thickness ratio, the material-property gradient index, different values of the applied voltages, the porosity parameter, different porosity distribution patterns, the Winkler spring coefficient, and the shear modulus of the surrounding medium on the natural frequencies of the porous FG piezoelectric microplates are examined and appear to be significant.

Thanks to his work, it is possible to see which virtues was appreciated, what was allowed and which behaviors was not accepted by the society of that time.

In this paper we aim to investigate the importance of the sports sector of the economy for macrolevel performance in the European Union Member States. The problem that we address is worthy of research focus as sport is a dynamically  expanding and important sector of the economy. The increasing importance of sport in national economies cannot be fully analysed due to the lack of sufficient statistical data. In this paper, we provide a comparison of the Eurostat sports collections results and Sport Satellite Account-based examination of the contribution of sport to the GDP and value added. The analysis of statistical data is preceded by a description of the sports sector measurement. We establish that the contribution of sport is more remarkable for developed economies, however it has also been increasing over time in other EU Member States. This can be observed for employment, changes in enterprises’ statistics, and international trade. Household spending on sports goods and services also increases even if the Great Recession led to a downturn in sport consumption in some countries. The frequency and coherence of sports data collections related to its economic significance is not satisfactory. The issue needs to be given a higher priority by public authorities.

The concept of Insensitive Munitions, or IM, is not new; the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has been working to improve the safety of munitions since their inception. The first NATO standard on IM, STANAG 4439: Policy for Introduction and Assessment of IM, was published for ratification in 1995 and was ratified in 1998. U.S. Congress passed the „Insensitive Munitions law” in 2001 that specifically requires „The Secretary of Defense [to] ensure, to the extent practicable, that insensitive munitions under deployment or procurement are safe throughout development and fielding when subject to unplanned stimuli”. These unplanned stimuli take the form of rapid or slow heating events, such as a fuel fire on a vehicle or aircraft, or an adjacent fire in a vehicle or storage magazine; impact by fragment or bullets due to shrapnel from nearby explosions or small arms fire from combat or terrorist events; sympathetic reaction due to the detonation of adjacent munitions; and shaped charge jet attack from rocketpropelled grenade or similar weapons used by enemy and friendly forces. In 2007, U.S. DoD focused its efforts on developing joint solutions through a centrally managed IM technology program: the Joint IM Technology Program (JIMTP). There have been numerous JIMTP IM technology development successes and transitions to munition systems. The U.S. DoD will continue to develop new munitions to meet increased performance requirements to respond to various threats and enable lethality overmatch in any scenario. Using today's available technology to obtain higher performance typically translates to a worse IM response. As a result, the U.S. DoD will continue to develop IM technology in order to assure safety and reduced vulnerability while improving munitions performance.

Celem rozważań jest ustalenie, czy a jeśli tak, to w jaki sposób możliwe jest wygaszenie zarządu powstałego w czasie obowiązywania ustawy o gospodarce gruntami i wywłaszczaniu nieruchomości w odniesieniu do nieruchomości znajdujących się w zarządzie Lasów Państwowych. Zdaniem autorki zarząd Lasów Państwowych sprawowany na podstawie ustawy o lasach nie podlega wygaszeniu tak jak zarząd trwały przewidziany w przepisach o gospodarce nieruchomościami. Ocena dopuszczalności wygaszenia zarządu powstałego na podstawie ustawy o gospodarce gruntami i wywłaszczaniu nieruchomości wymaga precyzyjnego ustalenia w szczególności, czy wspomniany akt prawny w ogóle mógł mieć zastosowanie do gruntów leśnych objętych decyzją stwierdzającą prawo zarządu, a ponadto, czy w tej sytuacji stosuje się przepisy art. 2 ust. 1 lub art. 4 ustawy z 29 września 1990 r. o zmianie ustawy o gospodarce gruntami i wywłaszczaniu nieruchomości. Jeśli bowiem to te ostatnie regulacje miały zastosowanie, to w takim przypadku nie mogło dojść do przekształcenia zarządu powstałego w czasie obowiązywania ustawy o gospodarce gruntami i wywłaszczaniu nieruchomości w trwały zarząd na podstawie art. 199 ust. 2 ustawy o gospodarce nieruchomościami.
L’articolo si propone di determinare se e, in caso affermativo, come sia possibile rescindere l’amministrazione istituita ai sensi della legge in materia di gestione dei terreni e espropriazione degli immobili, quando era ancora in vigore, nei confronti dei beni immobili gestiti dall’amministrazione delle Foreste Demaniali. A parere dell’autrice l’amministrazione delle Foreste Demaniali, istituita dalla legge sulle foreste, non è soggetta a cessazione, lo è invece l’amministrazione permanente prevista dalle disposizioni riguardanti la gestione degli immobili. Tuttavia, per valutare se consentire la cessazione dell’amministrazione istituita dalla legge in materia di gestione dei terreni e di espropriazione degli immobili occorre stabilire se il suddetto atto giuridico potesse applicarsi ai terreni forestali, i quali andavano comunque amministrati. Inoltre, è importante determinare se in questa situazione vadano applicate le disposizioni dell’art. 2 comma 1 oppure dell’articolo 4 della legge del 29 settembre 1990, la quale ha modificato la legge in materia di gestione dei terreni e espropriazione degli immobili. Se quest’ultime regolazioni andavano applicate, in tal caso l’amministrazione istituita dalla legge in materia di gestione dei terreni e espropriazione degli immobili, quando era ancora in vigore, non sarebbe potuta diventare permanente ai sensi dell’art. 1999 comma 2 della legge sulla gestione degli immobili.
The aim of the considerations presented in the article was to determine whether and if so, in what way, the management created with regard to real estate managed by the State Forests during the validity of the Act on land management and real estate expropriation may cease to exist. In the author's opinion, the State Forests’ management performed under the provisions of the Forest Act is not subject to termination in the manner that applies to the permanent management of real estate. The question that needs to be addressed and assessed is whether the termination of the management under the Act on land management and real estate expropriation requires a precise determination and, in particular, whether the said legislative act could apply to forest land covered by the decision confirming the right of management. It must also be considered whether the provisions of Article 2.1 or Article 4 of the Act of 29 September 1990 amending the Act on land management and expropriation of real estate should apply in such cases. Had the latter regulations applied, then the management created when the Act on land management and real property expropriation was in force, could not have been transformed into permanent management pursuant to Article 199 clause 2 of the Act on the management of real property.

Over the last hundred years and since the Second World War at the speed of the Great Acceleration, the Anthropocene has been intensively impacting the Northeast of Italy and, as a result, redrawn the Triangolo Industriale, shifting it towards the East, whereby its two prior western cities – Turin and Genoa – have been replaced with the production hubs scattered along the Via Emilia and Veneto. The coastal region has seen the foundation and robust growth of Porto Marghera with its freight, metallurgy, chemical, mechanical, shipbuilding, oil and electricity sectors; the Veneto plain has witnessed an expansion of SMEs; and Emilia has become home to multinational corporations. While not subject to industrialisation, the mountains of the Triveneto have not been exempt from a thorough modernisation on the scale unparalleled in the Italian Alps. Considering these changes, this paper surveys a range of literary works from Salgari to Scarpa (via Albertazzi, Zavattini, Buzzati, Guerra, D’Arzo, Pratt, Malerba, Altan, Nanetti, Benni, Rigoni Stern, Molesini, Costa, Corona, Carminati, Sgardoli, Tamaro, Tessaro and Ervas) in order to establish what role is given to environmental issues by the authors of children’s literature in the Northeast and whether (dis)continuities emerge in the body of their writings in this respect. The paper also investigates which authors present an active sensitivity useful for fostering an eco-consciousness and in what ways they do so. The methodology combines an array of critical tools developed in eco-pedagogical criticism, ecofeminism and the NatCul Matrix, geared to answering a series of questions: (1) Is basic environmental literacy offered? (2) Is a critical reflection on human primacy and environmental (in)sustainability implicit, explicit or absent? (3) How are humanity and nature related in children’s literature? (4) How is eco-justice approached? (5) What attitudinal role does the narrative assign to nature?
Negli ultimi cento anni, e dal secondo dopoguerra al ritmo della great acceleration, l’antropocene ha intensamente investito il Nord-Est e ridefinito il nuovo triangolo industriale verso Oriente, sostituendo ai due vertici occidentali del passato – Torino e Genova – la via Emilia e il Veneto. La costa ha visto sorgere i settori merci, metallurgia, chimico, meccanico, cantieristico, petrolifero, elettrico di Porto Marghera; la pianura veneta le SMEs e l’emiliana le multinazionali; le montagne del Triveneto, esentate dall’industrializzazione, non lo sono state da una profonda modernizzazione senza pari in tutto l’arco alpino italiano. Di fronte a questi mutamenti quale ruolo viene dato alle tematiche ambientali dagli autori delle letterature per l’infanzia e per ragazzi del Nord-Est? Emergono (dis)continuità in una comparazione di opere da Salgari a Scarpa, passando per Albertazzi, Zavattini, Buzzati, Guerra, D’Arzo, Pratt, Malerba, Altan, Nanetti, Benni, Rigoni Stern, Molesini, Costa, Corona, Carminati, Sgardoli, Tamaro, Tessaro ed Ervas? L’articolo indaga come e quali autori presentino nelle proprie opere una sensibilità attiva utile per la formazione di una ecocoscienza. La metodologia incrocia gli strumenti critici maturati negli ambiti della critica ecopedagogica, dell’ecofemminismo e della matrice NatCul.

The present study was performed for the period of one year from June 2012 to May 2013 in order to understand the level of toxic heavy metals in the water of Mahim Creek near Mumbai. It was observed that the annual average concentration of heavy metals like Pb, Cd, Cr, Fe, Zn, Cu and Ni and Hg was found to be 0.68, 0.28, 0.15, 0.04, 2.93, 0.64, 1.29 and 0.31 ppm respectively. The average concentrations of Hg and Pb were found to be above the maximum permissible limit of 0.01 ppm and 0.1 ppm respectively set for inland surface water by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India. The results suggest that there is a need to have such regular scientific monitoring for longer time period in order to understand the variation in level of these toxic heavy metals discharged in to the creek water. It is feared that the existing problem if ignored may increase the pollution problem of the creek due to the toxic heavy metals resulting in threat to the biological life of an aquatic ecosystem. From the results of the present investigation it seems that the time has come to move towards ecosystem specific discharge standards to maintain the health and productivity of natural resources on which the majority of human population is dependent.

The present study was performed for the period of one year from June 2012 to May 2013 in order to understand the physico-chemical properties of sediments samples collected along the Mahim Creek of Mumbai. The annual average pH value of the creek sediments was recorded as 9.22. It is feared that such conditions may increase the alkalinity of Creek water which according to USEPA will increase the physiological stress of many aquatic species resulting in decreased reproduction, decreased growth, disease, or death thereby reducing the biological diversity of the Creek. The total organic matter in the creek sediments was found to be maximum of 10.30 % with an annual average concentration of 6.29 %. Although organic matter is a primary source of food for benthic organisms and is important in maintaining a viable ecosystem, too much of organic matter deposited in the sediments will be responsible for depletion in dissolved oxygen content of the creek water causing unpleasant odours and may also increase the rate of eutrophication. From the results it appears that as India moves towards stricter regulation of industrial effluents to control water pollution, greater efforts are required to control the discharge of pollutants into the ecosystems.

Point contact spectroscopy experiments were performed on both single crystals Bi$\text{}_{2}$Sr$\text{}_{2}$CaCu$\text{}_{2}$O$\text{}_{8+y}$ and BiSrCaCuO/Ag sintered material using gold tips. The spectra exhibit tunneling structure, which are interpreted in terms of the energy gap structure 2Δ = 58 meV at 4.2 K. We observed the strong Andreev reflection of the Au-BiSrCaCuO/Ag boundary.

Opis:
Celem rozważań jest rozstrzygnięcie wybranych problemów prawnych związanych ze sprzedażą, użytkowaniem wieczystym i dzierżawą nieruchomości rolnych z zasobu gminnego. Rozważania koncentrują się na przetargach organizowanych przez gminy na sprzedaż oraz dzierżawę nieruchomości rolnych, prawie pierwokupu gminy, przekształcaniu prawa użytkowania wieczystego nieruchomości rolnych we własność, planach zagospodarowania przestrzennego uchwalanych przez gminy. W konkluzji stwierdzono, że ustawa o gospodarce nieruchomościami nie przewiduje odrębnych regulacji uwzględniających specyfikę gruntów rolnych. Jeśli chodzi o wnioski de lege ferenda, nawiązano do rozwiązań zawartych w ustawie o gospodarowaniu nieruchomościami rolnymi Skarbu Państwa w zakresie przetargów organizowanych na sprzedaż gruntów oraz prawa pierwszeństwa nabycia nieruchomości rolnych bez przetargu przez dzierżawców. Podkreślono też, że aspekt rolny powinien być szerzej uwzględniony w procesie uchwalania i zmian planu zagospodarowania przestrzennego.
L’articolo si propone di discutere di alcune questioni giuridiche scelte relative alla vendita, l’usufrutto perpetuo e l’affitto dei terreni agricoli facenti parte delle risorse comunali. Le considerazioni sono incentrate soprattutto sulle seguenti problematiche: le gare d’appalto indette dai comuni, concernenti la vendita e l’affitto dei terreni agricoli, il diritto di prelazione esercitato dal comune, il problema di convertire l’usufrutto in un diritto di proprietà, i piani regolatori approvati dai comuni. Nella parte conclusiva l’Autrice ha affermato, tra l’altro, che la legge sulla gestione immobiliare non prevede una normativa separata che tenga conto della specificità dei terreni agricoli. Se si tratta, invece, delle conclusioni de lege ferenda, ha postulato di riferirsi alle soluzioni contenute nella legge sulla gestione dei terreni agricoli Tesoro di Stato per quanto riguarda sia le gare d’appalto riguardanti la vendita dei fondi sia il diritto di prelazione nell’acquistare i terreni agricoli da parte degli affittuari senza organizzare gare. L’Autrice ha inoltre messo in evidenza che nel processo di approvare e modificare il piano regolatore bisogna tenere maggiormente conto dell’aspetto agrario.
The aim of the study was to solve selected legal issues connected with the sale, perpetual usufruct and lease of agricultural real estate from municipal resources. The considerations involved in the first place tenders organised by municipalities for the sale and lease of agricultural real estate, the municipality's pre-emptive right, the transformation of the right of perpetual usufruct of agricultural real estate into ownership, and spatial development plans adopted by municipalities. The conclusion of the considerations is, inter alia, that the Act on the management of real estate does not provide for separate regulations that would take into account the specificity of agricultural land. As for de lege ferenda conclusions, it is proposed that reference be made to the solutions contained in the Act on the management of agricultural real estate of the State Treasury with regard to tenders organised for the sale of land and the tenants’ pre-emptive right of purchase of agricultural real estate without a tender. Moreover, it is stressed that there should be a wider consideration of the agricultural aspect in the process of adopting and amending spatial development plans.

The article examines the Polish ‘translation series’ of two idylls by Giacomo Leopardi: L’infinito and Alla luna, focusing on selected linguistic and cultural factors behind the translators’ choices. In L’Infinito, one notices a recurrent difficulty in effectively rendering the alternation of the demonstratives questo and quello and the key metaphor of naufragare. In both cases, the purported Polish lexical counterparts fail to produce an adequate mental representation, and as a result the scene constructed by the translators hardly conveys the scene constructed by the author. For their part, the Polish versions of Alla luna display a striking interpretative tradition of the last verse, with the second che in ‘ancor che triste e che l’affanno duri’ understood by all translators in an optative sense (as a wish), rather than in a concessive sense. Having used the variantist approach to show that the intentio auctoris unequivocally provides a concessive phrase and that the intentio operis does not admit the stereotype of masochism (a degeneration of the topos of Leopardi as a Weltschmerz poet), I focus on the intentio interpretis (a specific form of intentio lectoris) and argue that this tradition of translatory infidelity stems not only from the probable reliance of each version on its predecessor(s) (typical of what textual philology calls ‘conjunctive errors’), but also – given the absence of such an interpretative tradition in other languages and cultures – from the Polish translators’s unconscious mental predisposition to accept such a misrepresentation. The roots of this predisposition are to be found in the history of Polish culture as it has been formed – and deformed – since the 19th century, when the cult of suffering became central to it.
L’articolo prende in esame le “serie traduttive” polacche di due idilli di Leopardi: L’infinito e Alla luna, concentrandosi su alcuni fattori linguistici e culturali che condizionano i traduttori, indirizzando le loro scelte. In particolare, nell’Infinito si nota una difficoltà a rendere l’alternanza dei dimostrativi “questo” e “quello” e la metafora chiave del “naufragare”: in entrambi i casi la lingua polacca pone ostacoli in termini di rappresentazione mentale suggerita dai presunti equivalenti lessicali, con la conseguenza che la scena costruita dai traduttori fatica a porsi come equivalente rispetto alla scena costruita dall’autore. Nelle versioni polacche di Alla luna colpisce invece la tradizione interpretativa riguardante l’ultimo verso: il secondo “che” di “ancor che triste e che l’affanno duri” è infatti inteso da tutti i traduttori in senso ottativo – come un auspicio. Dopo aver mostrato, tramite la variantistica, che l’intentio auctoris prevede inequivocabilmente una frase concessiva e che l’intentio operis non ammette lo stereotipo del masochismo (degenerazione del topos di Leopardi cantore del Weltschmerz), l’articolo si concentra sulla intentio interpretis (forma specifica di intentio lectoris), ipotizzando che all’origine di tale tradizione di tradimento traduttivo vi sia non solo la probabile dipendenza di ogni versione da una o più di quelle che la precedono (come è il caso di quelli che la filologia testuale chiama “errori congiuntivi”), ma anche – a fronte dell’assenza di tale tradizione interpretativa in altre lingue e culture – un’inconscia predisposizione mentale dei traduttori polacchi ad accettare un simile travisamento; predisposizione le cui radici sono da cercare nella storia della cultura polacca quale si è andata formando – e deformando – a partire dall’Ottocento, soprattutto in riferimento al ruolo che in essa occupa da allora il culto della sofferenza.

Necessary and sufficient oscillation conditions are given for a weakly convergent sequence (resp. relatively weakly compact set) in the Bochner-Lebesgue space $ℒ_{E}^{1}$ to be norm convergent (resp. relatively norm compact), thus extending the known results for $ℒ_{ℝ}^{1}$. Similarly, necessary and sufficient oscillation conditions are given to pass from weak to limited (and also to Pettis-norm) convergence in $ℒ_{E}^{1}$. It is shown that tightness is a necessary and sufficient condition to pass from limited to strong convergence. Other implications between several modes of convergence in $ℒ_{E}^{1}$ are also studied.

The administration of the goods of ecclesiastical organizations is a complex and very delicate task. The practise often shows us how rules of the Code of Canon Law is still partly unclear in order to have a truly effective execution for the protection of institutions assets.In 1983 the CIC on one hand seeks to protect the assets of the institution, giving rules in order to make sure the institution assets: the distinction between acts of extraordinary administration and acts of alienation tries to prevent the assets from suffering an unmotivated decrease.On the other hand, the new code introduces a number of organizations cooperating in the administration, not to leave the administrator without a helping hand. These organisms are first of all to protect those who are responsible for the administration of goods, not only to control their work. This control is accomplished primarily through the authorization canonical acts, intended for all those acts which go beyond the ordinary.However,theseaspectsstill need more completenessin regulation on one hand; on the other hand they need amore effectiveexecution in practice: these twoaspectsare closely linked.

The article focuses three problematic knots. The fi rst one underlines how the modern utopias are not dead, but they have strikingly moved: the modern ideal of freedom, for example, changed into the post-modern ideal of security; the monism of values shared in common turned into a pluralism of personal, discontinuous and fragmented choices. The second knot identi fi es education itself as an evolving utopia: from the post colonial dream of education for all to the present priority to educate ex novo the social links in a globalised world; from the society of knowledge (instrumental good) to a pluralistic society of living together (structural good). The third knot calls to mind the classical eschatological hendiadys of the “already and not yet” that the theology of Christian Hope propose once more as the paradigm of the human living. In the - political and at same time mystic-dynamic of the historical present, dissuading in this way the believers from looking for the salvation in easy and utopian projections beyond this world.

The author introduced exemplary methods of education which are applied in e-learning in order to increase the efficiency of teaching. Among mentioned methods are: problem method included in R.M. Conrad model, project method which example is entitled „Learning and Teaching in a Digital World” from Oslo University Collage and social network Corton. pl offering projects on demand. An interesting method of passing and absorbing knowledge is method called „knowledge pills” which potential is rooted in delivering knowledge in condensed amounts. The author introduced crowdsourcing as a stock market of ideas based on finding the best business solutions among personalised social groups. The practical usage of learning is described on the basis of Live International Future Experience program, where students during their internships work in company’s actual environment solving current problems. The author emphasised significance of implementing such academic e-learning methods which further the development of students soft as well as practical skills.
Autorka zaprezentowała przykładowe metody kształcenia, które są stosowane w e-learningu w celu zwiększenia efektywności nauki-nauczania. Wśród wymienionych znajdują się metoda problemowa ujęta w modelu R.M. Conrad i metoda projektów; jako przykład podano kurs „Learning and Teaching in a Digital Word” z Oslo University College oraz serwis społecznościowy Corton.pl, oferujący projekty na zamówienie. Ciekawą metodą przekazywania i przyswajania wiedzy jest metoda pigułek wiedzy (knowledge pills), której potencjał tkwi w dostarczaniu wiedzy w skondensowanych ilościach. Przedstawiono mechanizm crowdsourcingu (giełdę pomysłów), opierający się wyłanianiu najlepszych rozwiązań biznesowych wśród spersonalizowanych grup społecznościowych. Praktyczne zastosowanie kształcenia omówiono na podstawie programu Live International Future Experience, podczas którego studenci w czasie praktyk studenckich pracują w środowisku realnej fi rmy i rozwiązują aktualne problemy. Podkreślono znaczenie wprowadzania takich metod kształcenia do e-learningu akademickiego, które mogą sprzyjać rozwojowi kompetencji miękkich oraz praktycznych umiejętności studentów.

Opis:
Lactoferrin, a glycoprotein found in milk, has stimulated osteoblast proliferation and differentiation, but has remained relatively unexplored as a biomaterial component. In this study, artificial extracellular matrices consisting of fibrils of collagen type I containing lactoferrin were used as coatings for the biocompatible polymer poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA). The numbers of cells, their viability and proliferation rate were evaluated in various time intervals. Additionally, cell initial spreading area on day 1 was measured. The results show that lactoferrin accelerates fibril-logenesis, leads to increased osteoblast cell numbers 1 and 3 days post-seeding, and encourages their proliferation in each of the tested time intervals.

Opis:
Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie wątpliwości związanych z terminami na składanie sprawozdań wskazanych w ustawie z dnia 13 września 1996 roku o utrzymaniu czystości i porządku w gminach oraz tzw. sprawozdań zerowych. Stany faktyczne, dotyczące nakładania kar administracyjnych za nieterminowe złożenie sprawozdań sporządzanych przez podmioty prowadzące działalność na podstawie ustawy o utrzymaniu czystości i porządku w gminach, wielokrotnie były analizowane przez sądy administracyjne. Nie do końca precyzyjna redakcja przepisów oraz brak do pewnego momentu niektórych regulacji, spory co do charakteru terminu określonego dla poszczególnych sprawozdań, milczenie literatury dotyczącej tego problemu, a także rozbieżności w orzecznictwie skłaniają do pochylenia się nad tym tematem. Również nie do końca jasna pozostaje kwestia sprawozdań zerowych składanych przez podmioty prowadzące działalność na podstawie powyższej ustawy. W pierwszej części artykułu autor omawia obowiązujące przepisy w tym zakresie, w tym tych dotyczących obowiązków sprawozdawczych, następnie przechodzi do przedstawienia poglądów doktryny i dotychczasowego orzecznictwa. W dalszej części zaprezentowano wnioski płynące z tej analizy. W części ostatniej omówiono kwestię wymogu składania sprawozdań zerowych.
The main aim of this paper is to present doubts connected with the date for the reports from the Act of 13th September 1996 on Maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities and the issue of the “null reports”. Cases concerning administrative monetary penalties for delayed reports prepared by the entities conducting activity on the basis of the Act on Maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities, were analyzed by the administrative courts multiple times. Imprecise redaction of some articles, lack of some regulations untill a certain moment, the absence thereof in the literature and disparity in judicature make this issue worth being considered again. Also the issue of the “null reports” is still not clear. In the first part, the author analyzes regulations in this matter, including the reporting obligations. Further, the views from the doctrine and the jurisdiction are presented. In the following part, the evaluation of present regulations is made. The last part concerns the “null reports”.
В настоящей статье приводятся размышления автора о целесообразности сроков предоставления отчетов, указанных в законе о поддержании чистоты и порядка на территории гмины от 13 сентября 1996 года, а также так называемых нулевых отчетов. Ситуация, де-факто сложившаяся в связи с наложением административных штрафов за несвоевременное предоставление отчетов субъектами, деятельность которых регулируется данным законом, неоднократно становилась предметом рассмотрения административных судов. Недостаточно четкие формулировки некоторых положений закона, отсутствие целого ряда положений, споры вокруг сроков предоставления отдельных отчетов, отсутствие публикаций на эту тему, а также противоречивость судебной практики — все это делает данную проблему заслуживающей особого внимания. Не до конца понятным остается и вопрос предоставления нулевых отчетов субъектами, деятельность которых регулируется данным законом. В первой части статьи оговаривается действующий в этой области порядок регулирования, в том числе касающийся отчетной деятельности. Далее автор рассматривает правовую доктрину и существующую по данному вопросу судебную практику и делает выводы на основании проведенного анализа. В последней части статьи поднимаются вопросы предоставления нулевых отчетов.
L’oggetto di questo articolo è la descrizione dei dubbi relativi ai termini per la presentazione dei resoconti a norma della legge 13 settembre 1996 di mantenere la pulizia e l’ordine nei comuni e anche cosiddette i “resoconti neutre”. Fatti accertati, riguardanti l’imposizione di sanzioni amministrative per mancato rispetto del termine per la presentazione dei resoconti elaborate dai soggetti che svolgono un’attività a norma della legge 13 settembre 1996 di mantenere la pulizia e l’ordine nei comuni, erano analizatti molte volte dai tribunali amministrativi. La redazione di norme non precisa e anche l’assenza di una regolazione ad un certo punto, controversie riguardanti il carattere del termine specificato per alcuni resoconti, quiete in letteratura relativa a questo problema e anche discrepanze nella giurisprudenza sono le ragioni per analizzare questo tema. Altresi la questione dei resoconti neutre, presentate dai soggetti che svolgono un’attività in base alla norma sopra descritta, non è abbastanza chiara. Nella prima parte dell’articolo l’autore descrive le norme in vigore in questo ambito, incluse le norme che riguardano gli obblighi di resoconti, poi l’autore passa alla presentazione dei giudizi di dottrina e alla giurisprudenza attuale. In seguito, l’autore presenta le conclusioni di quest’analisi. Nell’ultima parte è stata descritta la questione di resoconti neutre.

For a single GaAs/AlAs/GaAs type II pseudodirect double quantum well, as well as for superlattices it was predicted that the oscillator strength of the lowest optical transition has a periodic dependence on the number of AlAs monolayers. The oscillator strength depends on the coupling between theΓ and X electron states. We use samples containing a single GaAs/AlAs/GaAs double quantum well with thickness gradient to show experimental evidence of this effect. The results concerning theΓ-X coupling are obtained from the study of the ratio of photoluminescence intensities of the zero-phonon line and the phonon replica and from their time decay. They show the monolayer dependence of the Γ-X mixing potential. We extend the model describing the Γ-X coupling for ideal interfaces in the frame of the envelope approximation to the case of non-abrupt interfaces and exciton localization. The amplitude of variation of the radiative recombination time due to the Γ-X mixing is well reproduced within this model.

Opis:
Open antra, a special form of external brood pouches in Ordovician ostracodes suitable for both egg and brood care, are enabled by the associated pore system. Special kinds of radial pores connected with the adventral sculptures are described for the first time. Relationships exist between antral development and lifestyle in that open antra occur in nektobenthic taxa, while closed antra (false brood pouches) are connected with a benthic lifestyle. Taxa, particularly those with open antra, which are morphologically very similar in being non−lobate or non−sulcate, can be distinguished by the construction of the respective antra and the associated pore systems, as exemplified by Levisulculus, Swantina, and Ampletochitina.

Opis:
The utilization of monohydric alcohols waste fraction from the Cyklopol process was studied. On the basis of this fraction the solvent, which mainly contains acetic acid esters, was synthesized. Tests of the application of the obtained solvent as a base of glue for plastics were carried out and it was found out that it could be used to stick PMMA together. In the case of PS, PET, PC or PVC slightly weaker sticking properties of this solvent also occurred. The glue joint characteristics in the case of PMMA were similar to those obtained for the glue joints that were made with the use of the commercially available glue used for this plastic. The additional advantage of our glue is its nice fruity smell. The obtained results enable us to establish the possibility of waste alcohol fraction management as a raw material for the production of glue for plastic. The esterification method proposed in the work can be a good way of management of waste alcohol fractions naturally occurring during cyclohexanone production.

Edmund Bojanowski, an esteemed Polish pedagogue who lived in the XIX century, dedicated his life to the creation of education services for small children in his country, (which he called Ochronki (= protection), and to the training of the women instructors (Ochroniarki = the protectors). His objective was a preschool education inspired by Catholic values, as man was created “in the image and likeness of God”; he envisioned a system that would raise good citizens and good Christians, enabling them to tackle the challenges of life. Blessed with a strong educational vocation, he put great effort in preparing the women instructors for this task, providing them with both pedagogic knowledge and rigorous moral principles, as well as promoting critical thinking and sense of responsibility, with the authority borne of love for the true good. He strived to promote these abilities in his instructors, so that they would transfer them to the children; he felt these qualities transform knowledge into life wisdom, and allow a person to live with dignity and respect for oneself and others. These core beliefs were also the basis for the creation of a religious order of nuns.

We demonstrate a modified hexagonal three-layer air-hole photonic crystal fiber (PCF) which presents a good ability of dispersion management. The proposed PCF not only achieved an ultra-flattened all-negative dispersion characteristics of 0.15085 ps/(km·nm) fluctuation within the wavelength range of E+S+C+L wavelength band but also has been able to obtain other interesting features such as low confinement loss. Furthermore, the quadrilateral and octagonal structures are investigated to compare the superiority of different structures and analyze why we chose the hexagonal one.
