Opis:
Distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer including the detection of quaternary nuclei is a carbon-editing pulse NMR experiment. In this experiment multiplicity information for all carbons including quaternary carbons are obtained. In the present study, analytical descriptions of DEPTQ NMR experiment have been investigated for weakly coupled $IS_{n}$ (I = 1/2; S = 1; n = 0, 1, 2, 3) spin systems by using the product operator theory. Then, the theoretical discussion and the experimental suggestions for sub-spectral editing of C, CD, $CD_2$ and $CD_3$ groups have been presented. The comparison of the obtained results with those of the basic distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer NMR experiment has been also performed for $CD_{n}$ groups. It is shown that DEPTQ experiment can be also used for $CD_{n}$ groups.

Opis:
Product operator theory is widely used for analytical description of multiple pulse nuclear magnetic resonance experiments for weakly coupled spin systems. Distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer and subspectral editing with a multiple quantum trap NMR experiments are used for spectral assignments of $\text{}^{13}$C NMR spectra in CH$\text{}_{n}$ groups. First, in this study we proposed and showed theoretically that distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer and subspectral editing with a multiple quantum trap experiments can also be used for subspectral editing of $\text{}^{13}$C NMR spectra when $\text{}^{13}$C nuclei coupled to spin-3/2 nuclei. The product operator technique is applied for the analytical description of $\text{}^{13}$C distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer and subspectral editing with a multiple quantum trap NMR spectroscopy for $\text{}^{13}$CX$\text{}_{n}$ ($I_{X}$=3/2; n=1, 2, 3) groups.

A dentary fragment containing a tiny left plagiaulacoid fourth lower premolar from the Early Cretaceous (Aptian) of Victoria provides the first evidence of the Multituberculata from Australia. This unique specimen represents a new genus and species, Corriebaatar marywaltersae, and is placed in a new family, Corriebaataridae. The Australian fossil, together with meagre records of multituberculates from South America, Africa, and Madagascar, reinforces the view that Multituberculata had a cosmopolitan distribution during the Mesozoic, with dispersal into eastern Gondwana probably occurring prior to enforcement of climatic barriers (indicated by marked differentiation in regional floras) in the Early Cretaceous.

A compact soft X-ray microscope based on a nitrogen double-stream gas puff target soft X-ray source, operating at He-like nitrogen spectral line at the wavelength of λ =2.88 nm is presented. The desk-top size microscope was successfully demonstrated in transmission mode using the Fresnel zone-plate objective and it is suitable for soft X-ray source microscopy in the "water window" spectral range (λ = 2.3÷ 4.4 nm). Details about the soft X-ray source source, the microscope and an example of application in the biomedical field are shown and discussed.

The transformer-less grid connected inverters are gaining more popularity due to their high efficiency, very low ground leakage current and economic feasibility especially in photovoltaic systems. The major issue which surfaces these systems is that of common mode leakage current which arises due to the absence of an electrical transformer connected between the inverter and the utility grid. Several topologies have evolved to reduce the impact of common mode leakage current and a majority of them have succeeded in eliminating the impacts and have well kept them within the limits of grid standards. This paper compares and analyses the impact of the common mode leakage current for four popular inverter configurations through simulation of the topologies such as H5, H6, HERIC and FBZVR inverters.

Samples of ZnSe of the same film thickness (320 nm) have been thermally evaporated on unheated quartz substrates using high purity powder. The prepared films were subjected to pulsed laser annealing of two different powers. X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the as-deposited samples were polycrystalline cubic (zinc-blende type) structure. As the annealing power increases, the crystallinity of ZnSe films was improved with preferential orientation along the (111) direction parallel to the substrate surface. Microstructural characterizations have been evaluated using the Debye-Scherrer formula. The absorption coefficient as well as the energy gap for the as-deposited and the annealed samples were also reported.

A model is developed by extending the generalised form of exponential potential known as extended generalised exponential potential to account for: (a) a realistic realization of interactions in all separations in general and that of small separations in particular, (b) three-body and electronic effects into the interaction in an alternative and simpler form, (c) a model free from usual fitting procedure. The model is employed to compute the cohesive energy, phonon spectra and second- and third-order elastic constants for group VA bcc metals V and Nb. The computed results showing good agreement with the experimental findings lend reliability and credibility to the potential.

The theoretical calculation of spectral parameters of electron and exciton quasi-stationary s-states in open spherical quantum dot is performed within the effective mass approximation and rectangular potentials model. The conceptions of probability distribution functions (over quasi-momentum or energy) of electron location inside of quantum dot and their spectral characteristics: generalized resonance energies and widths are introduced. It is shown that the generalized resonance energies and widths, obtained within the distribution functions, satisfy the Heisenberg uncertainty principle for the barrier widths varying from zero to infinity. At the same time, the ordinary resonance energies and widths defined as complex poles of scattering S-matrix, do not satisfy it for the small barrier widths and, therefore, are correct only for the open quantum dots with rather wide potential barriers.

The electronic properties of ZrO₂/SiO₂ stacked dielectric layers are reported as a function for temperature of the atomic layer deposition process. A dielectric layer has been characterized by C-V and I-V measurements of MIS structures. A strong dependence of κ value of ZrO₂ layer has been observed as a function of deposition temperature T. The values within the range of κ≈16-26 have been obtained. All measured stacked dielectric layers show an increase in dielectric breakdown voltage compared to simple SiO₂ dielectric by average factor of 1.7 and factor of 2 (21 MV/cm) for high-κ oxides deposited at low temperature (85°C).

Applicability of thin HfO$\text{}_{2}$ films as gate dielectric for SiC MOSFET transistor is reported. Layers characterisation was done by means of atomic force microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, spectroscopic ellipsometry and C-V and I-V measurements of MIS structures. High permittivity dielectric layers were deposited using atomic layer deposition. Investigation showed high value of κ = 15 and existence of high density surface states (5 × 10$\text{}^{12}$ eV$\text{}^{-1}$ cm$\text{}^{-2}$) on HfO$\text{}_{2}$/SiC interface. High leakage current is caused probably due to low conduction band offset between hafnium oxide and silicon carbide.

The capacitance-voltage measurements were applied for characterization of the semiconductor/dielectric interface of GaN MOS capacitors with $SiO_2$ and $HfO_2//SiO_2$ gate stacks. From the Terman method low density of interface traps $(D_{it} \approx 10^{11} eV^{-1} cm^{-2})$ at $SiO_2//GaN$ interface was calculated for as-deposited samples. Samples with $HfO_2//SiO_2$ gate stacks have higher density of interface traps as well as higher density of mobile charge and effective charge in the dielectric layers. High quality of $SiO_2//GaN$ interface shows applicability of $SiO_2$ as a gate dielectric in GaN MOSFET transistors.

Opis:
In this study, some physical and mechanical performances of artificial aggregated lightweight concretes were compared. Special empirical models were developed to estimate the elasticity modulus of lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC). Five different natural aggregates and one artificial lightweight aggregate material were used throughout the research. Mixture proportions were kept as constant values in all concrete mixtures. All mixtures were cast into cubic, prismatic and cylindrical concrete standard moulds and they were cured at the same curing conditions. A series of physical and mechanical properties, such as density, compressive strength and elasticity modulus for LWAC were experimentally determined. According to the research findings a few empirical models were statistically developed for estimating the elasticity modulus and Poisson's ratio of LWAC and a new diagram practically to be used for estimating the Poisson's ratio of LWAC was also proposed.
