The article is an attempt to characterize linguistic and cultural relations between three translations of Dialogus Salomonis et Marcolfi from Latin into vernacular languages: Polish, Italian and English. Comparative analysis of the three translations confirms that in the cultural contexts examined, despite some discrepancies concerning the explicitness of language and images, there is the same model of comedy, based on obscene elements. The analysis aims to determine the nature and substrate of differences occurring between texts in terms of the obscene comic, as well as the extent to which various local colours were adopted in the translation process.

Tematem artykułu jest analiza porównawcza szkieletów programistycznychSpring (z konfiguracją Spring Boot), Micronaut oraz Quarkus. Obserwowany w ostatnim czasie wzrost popularnościtych rozwiązań uwarunkował konieczność wyznaczenia ich profilu zastosowań. W celu wyznaczenia charakterystyk badanych technologii, przeprowadzono szereg testów wydajnościowych oraz optymalizacyjnych aplikacji zbudowanych w oparciu o wymienione szkielety programistyczne. Rezultaty analiz wykazały, iż dzięki wysokiemu stopniu optymalizacji, szkielety Micronaut oraz Quarkus są doskonale przystosowane do pracy w środowiskach chmurowych, natomiast rozbudowany szkielet Spring (Boot), pomimo mniejszej wydajności, jest pozycją niezastąpioną w bardziej złożonych projektach
This article presents the results of a comparative analysis of Spring (with Spring Boot configuration), Micronaut and Quarkus programming frameworks. The recently observed increase in popularity of these solutions made it necessary to determine their application profile. In order to determine the characteristics of the researched technologies, a series of performance and optimization tests of applications built on the basis of the above-mentioned programming frameworks were carried out. The results of the analyzes showed that thanks to the high degree of optimization, the Micronaut and Quarkus frameworks are perfectly adapted to work in cloud environments, while Spring (Boot) framework, despite its lower efficiency, is an irreplacible solution in complex projects.

The article discusses Żaneta Nalewajk’s book Leśmian międzynarodowy. It presents the Leśmian’s work read in the context of the work of Poe, Ukrainian folklore, Ruthenian perennials as well as French and Russian symbolism. The author takes note of the numerous qualities of the dissertation. She is pointing at several advantages of this work; its analytical reliability and the methodological consequence. The author shows also on the important position of the publication in the research on the poetry of Bolesław Leśmian. She notices one essential lack which is an omission of important continuations of Leśmian’s poetics in Polish modern poetry.

Artykuł przedstawia sposoby rozumienia pojęcia starości wyrażane przez przedstawicieli pokolenia tradycjonalistów, pokolenia baby boomers oraz pokolenia X i Y, którzy uczestniczyli w badaniach jakościowych prowadzonych od stycznia do kwietnia 2022 roku. Zastosowane podejście obejmuje komparację prezentowanych punktów widzenia oraz stanowi próbę wyjaśnienia ich uwarunkowań, na podstawie opisanego w literaturze przedmiotu profilu każdej z generacji. Przeprowadzona analiza potwierdza, że przynależność do konkretnego pokolenia determinuje sposób postrzegania starości. Znajomość jej definiowania przez przedstawicieli czterech pokoleń może być pomocna w kształtowaniu postawy szacunku i tolerancji, niezbędnej dla zgodnego współżycia pokoleń egzystujących w społeczeństwie.
The article discusses how the concept of old age is understood by representatives of the traditionalist generation, baby boomers, generation X and generation Y, who participated in qualitative research conducted in January–April 2022. The article is a comparative study of the presented viewpoints, and it attempts to explain their determinants as anchored in the profiles of each generation outlined in the literature. The analysis confirms that belonging to a particular generation determines the way in which old age is perceived. Recognising the diversity of definitions of old age exhibited by the respondents can be helpful in shaping attitudes of respect and tolerance, which are necessary for the consensual social coexistence of diverse generations.

Stosowanie metody porównawczej w obszarze nauk jest powszechne i ma długą tradycję. Mimo to nie stosuje się tworzenia odrębnych porównawczych dyscyplin na szeroką skalę. Uznaje się raczej przydatność stosowania metody porównawczej jako jednego z wielu sposobów badania rzeczywistości. Tym bardziej przydatny w inżynierii rolniczej – ze względu na dużą różnorodność budowy obiektów technicznych i związane z nimi procesy, które najłatwiej analizować stosując metodę porównawczą. Badania porównawcze w inżynierii rolniczej można wykorzystywać na etapie projektowania, budowy i eksploatacji maszyn rolniczych, jak również do porównywania innych procesów zachodzących w obszarze techniki. Badania przeprowadzono na przykładzie informacji uzyskiwanych za pomocą komputerowych testów diagnostycznych, wykorzystywanych do diagnostyki ciągników rolniczych oraz wybranych procesów obsługowych planowanych przeglądów serwisowych.
Using a comparative study in the area of sciences is universal and has a long tradition. However, separate comparative disciplines are not created at a wide scale. Usefulness of applying the comparative study method is one among many of ways of examining the reality. It is useful on account of the great diversity of the structure of agricultural engineering objects and processes associated with them, which can be easily analyzed with the use of the comparative study. In the agricultural engineering it is possible to compare things and processes at the stage of the design, the structure and the use of agricultural machines, as well as to compare other processes occurring in the area of the technique. The study was conducted on the example of the information obtained through computerized diagnostic tests used in the diagnosis of farm tractors and the selected processes of planned maintenance service review.

Postulating the necessity of introducing translatological reflection into modem stylisti- cs, the article - bearing upon the work of Polish translators of Charles Baudelaire’s poems - demonstrates a diversity of stylistics strategies in particular translations. The texts cho- sen for the study Correspondences, De Profundis Clamavi, and Les Plaintes d’un Icare have been rendered into Polish by both older (Stanisław Korab-Brzozowski, Miriam, and Antoni Lange), and modem (Tadeusz Bocheński, Maria Leśniewska, Andrzej Nowak) translators. A comparative study of the French originals and their Polish equivalents car- ried out with the help of cognitive grammar analysis allows us to conclude that neither the very time nor the style of translation determine its value in the target language culture. This awareness becomes important particularly in the light of a discussion conceming ca- nons of French and European literatures.

Opis:
The knowledge on translation, which was developed by different methodologies and different disciplines, fulfills the need of taking into consideration the structurally-artistic issues by comparative literary studies, most basic for literature and literary studies, occupying the central place in comparative literature. This shift in comparative interests is accompanied by a revealing lack of works undertaking research into developmental-typological regularities in general literature. Moreover, with the central position of translation in this discipline, it is paradoxical that resigning from text and its subject matter in favour of reception and the results of functioning of translation in the target culture has been declared. While the dislike for systemizing and typologizing facts of general literature is doubly hard because of the disapproval of dogmatic theories and the difficulties within research into the abundance of literary material, the target, the place, the circumstances and the way of functioning in time and in culture are inherent parts of the linguistically-artistic structure, that is, everything that is within interests of the contemporary culturally oriented literary studies.

Postępujące procesy globalizacji i integracji państw w struktury ponadnarodowe sprzyjają ruchliwości społecznej. W ten ogólnoświatowy trend wpisują się również uczelnie wyższe poprzez umożliwianie m.in. studentom partycypowania w międzynarodowej mobilności edukacyjnej. Zakładam, że okresowe przebywanie w środowisku odmiennym kulturowo, wzmożone kontakty z przedstawicielami innych kultur oddziałują na kształtowanie się poczucie tożsamości jednostki. Podstawę teoretyczną tekstu stanowi Koncepcja profili identyfikacyjnych autorstwa Mirosława Sobeckiego (2007, 2009). Badania prowadzone były z wykorzystaniem metody sondażu diagnostycznego z zastosowaniem techniki ankiety wśród studentów z Belgii, Litwy i Polski. Z badań wynika, że młodzież akademicka uczestnicząca w międzynarodowej mobilności edukacyjnej, doświadczając kontaktów z przedstawicielami innych kultur, poszerza swe poczucie tożsamości o sferę euroglobalną, jednocześnie zachowując poczucie tożsamości lokalno-regionalnej i narodowej. Może to świadczyć o tym, że studenci rozbudowują swoje poczucie tożsamości w kierunku tożsamości otwartej i wielowymiarowej.
The continuing processes of globalization and European integration are conducive to social mobility. In these global trends, universities also make it possible for students to participate in international mobility. I assume that periodic exposure to cultural differences and experiencing intensified contacts with representatives of other cultures affect the process of individual identity formation. The Concept of Identity Profiles (M. Sobecki, 2007, 2009) is a theoretical framework of the text. The research was conducted among Belgian, Lithuanian and Polish students using diagnostic survey methods and survey technique. Results of the research show that academic youths participating in international educational mobility develops their sense of identity toward euroglobal dimension, meanwhile maintaining a sense of local-regional and national identity. These results may indicate that students expand their sense of identity toward open and multidimensional identity.

BACKGROUND Some publications, as well as some own observations confi rm the opinion that mental condition of contemporary living people is not very good. Doubts about the average mental state concern, in particular, young people. This raises the question whether the mental condition of young people in our country diff ers signifi cantly from the average mental status in other European countries. MATERIAL AND METHODS The authors performed a survey, using the own questionaire discussed in their previous work. They carried out comparative studies of psychological condition of two very similar groups of young people. These were fi rst year students of nursing studies in Belgium and Poland. RESULTS The results of this study revealed statistically signifi cant diff erences. It appears that students in Belgium have fewer emotional problems, while their engaging to social challenges are lower than among students in Poland. CONCLUSIONS The premises exist behind that general mental condition of European nations is not good. This justify further research comparing mental condition of young people of diff erent European countries.
Wypowiedzi wielu publicystów, a także niektóre obserwacje własne przemawiają za tym, iż ogólna kondycja psychiczna nie jest bardzo dobra. Wątpliwości dotyczące jakości przeciętnego stanu psychicznego dotyczą w szczególności ludzi młodych. Powstaje także pytanie czy kondycja psychiczna młodych ludzi w naszym kraju różni się znacząco od przeciętnego stanu psychicznego w innych krajach europejskich. MATERIAŁ I METODY Autorzy pracy korzystając z opracowanego przez siebie ankietowego narzędzia pomiarowego, przedstawionego w poprzedniej pracy dokonali badania porównawczego kondycji psychicznej dwóch bardzo podobnych grup młodych osób. Były to studentki pielęgniarstwa pierwszego roku studiów w Belgii i w Polsce. WYNIKI Wykonane badanie wykazało znamienne statystycznie różnice. Wydaje się, że studentki w Belgii mają mniej problemów emocjonalnych, natomiast ich angażowanie się wobec wyzwań społecznych jest mniejsze aniżeli wśród studentek w Polsce. WNIOSKI Istnieją przesłanki świadczące za tym, że ogólna kondycja psychiczna narodów europejskich nie jest dobra. Uzasadnia to podjęcie dalszych badania porównujących kondycję psychiczną młodych ludzi różnych krajów europejskich.

Prispevek obravnava problematiko prevoda, kadar je prevajalec sicer tudi sam pisec literature. V takšnem primeru sta pomembna tako dialog poetike avtorja primarnega besedila s poetiko prevajalčeve lastne literarne ustvarjalnosti, kot tudi relacije, v katere se zapleta konkretni prevod s prevajalčevimi (lastnimi) literarnimi besedili. Ti vprašanji odpirata široko področje prevodoslovnih in komparativističnih raziskav. Prevajanje in prevod, razumljen kot interpretacija, sta tu obravnavana v skladu s postulati sodobne komparativistike, torej kot dialog kultur, dialog literatur, ki vodi v nadaljnje dialoške odnose v okviru ciljne kulture in prevajalčeve lastne literarne ustvarjalnosti. Na Poljskem je to vprašanje mdr. aktualno v ustvarjalnosti (avtorski in prevajalski) Stanisława Barańczaka, Juliana Tuwima in Czesława Miłosza. Če gre za prevajanje slovenske literature na Poljskem in poljske v Sloveniji (po letu 1990), je glede tega zanimivo vzajemno prevajanje dveh pesnikov — Adama Wiedemanna in Primoža Čučnika. Funkcija njunih prevodov je bolj dopolnjujoča kot polemična. Pesnika eksplicitno opozarjata na medbesedilne relacije med svojimi teksti. Podobnost njunih avtorskih poetik in izbori besedil, ki (si) jih prevajata, pa pričajo o idejni, svetovnonazorski in estetski sorodnosti.
The subject of this article is concerning the area of translation created by an author, a writer. In such case not only the dialogue between poetics of an author’s primary texts and the poetics of self-translated texts is at importance. The relation in which particular translation is involved with the original author’s passages also cannot be diminished. Those problems open a wide space for the translation and comparative studies research. The translation is perceived as an interpretation seen accordingly to the postulates of modern comparative studies — so as an intercultural dialogue, the dialogue of literature, opening itself for further relations in the sphere of ultimate culture and the own artwork of the author of the translation. In Poland it applies to works (original and translational) of — among others — Stanisław Barańczak, Julian Tuwim or Czesław Miłosz. In reference to the translations of Slovenian literature in Poland and Polish literature in Slovenia (after year 1990) one of the fascinating phenomenon in this context would be mutual translation of their own texts of two poets — Adam Wiedemann and Primož Čučnik. Their translations function as a complement rather than polemic factor. The authors explicitly point to initiating the intertextual relations between their texts. The resemblance of the poetics and choices made in the scope of translation unveil the relationship in terms of an idea, outlook on the world and aesthetics.

Opis:
Na podstawie zebranej literatury porównano płatki zbożowe owsiane (błyskawiczne, ekologiczne, górskie, zwykłe), jęczmienne, jaglane (proso), pszenne, orkiszowe, żytnie i gryczane. Porównano również płatki owsiane zwykłe: niemieckie, słowackie, szwedzkie i angielskie. Uwzględniono skład chemiczny i mineralny. Najwyższą zawartość białka i tłuszczu, wśród porównywanych płatków stwierdzono w owsianych. Zawartość skrobi w płatkach była zróżnicowana, niska w orkiszowych krajowych i owsianych szwedzkich. Zawartość błonnika była wysoka w płatkach pszennych, orkiszowych i żytnich, oraz w płatkach angielskich i słowackich. Βeta – glukanów nie zawierały płatki jaglane, ale w owsianych szwedzkich było ich najwięcej ok. 5%. Porównanie składników mineralnych wykazało wysoką zawartość Zn, Mn i Fe niezależnie od rodzaju surowca i pochodzenia produktu. Porównane płatki owsiane charakteryzowały się wyższą zawartością Zn w stosunku do innych, zwłaszcza jaglanych, żytnich i gryczanych. Wysoką zawartość tego pierwiastka prezentowały także płatki orkiszowe oraz płatki owsiane ze Szwecji i Niemiec.
On the basis of the collected literature we compared cereal oatmeal (instant, ecological, mountain, plain), flakes from; barley, millet, wheat, spelled, rye and buckwheat. Also compared oatmeal usual: German, Slovak, Swedish and English. Compared the chemical and mineral composition. The highest protein and fat content was found in oatmeal. The starch content in the flakes was a diversified, low in the spelled flakes and oatmeal Swedish. The fiber content was high in flakes from wheat, spelled and rye, also in the flakes from England and Sweden.. Beta - glucans not contain millet flakes, but in the oatmeal from Sweden was their most, approximately 5 %. Comparison of minerals components showed high content of Zn, Mn and Fe regardless of the type of raw material and product origin. Oatmeal characterized by higher Zn content in comparison to others, especially millet, rye, and buckwheat. High content of this element presented also the flakes spelled and samples from Sweden and Germany.
