Opis:
Discussions on the status and nature of lexicography have been ongoing since at least the 1960s. Some of the most frequently discussed issues concern lexicographical theory, including its very existence, which some scholars find problematic. And if it is considered to exist, questions as to what can be treated as a lexicographic theory arise: Is it a theory of dictionary making practice? Is it a linguistic theory? Is it a separate lexicographical theory? The aim of the article is to present and comment on the divergent positions. Finally, the author draws attention to the factors that cause that the discussion on lexicographical theory is not always conducted at the appropriate scientific level.

Opis:
Carl von Weizsäcker analyzes the information concept in the framework of his own philosophy. He emphasizes, on the one hand, the irreversibility inherent in the time structure and, on the other hand, the dependence of information on temporal relations. In his view, information constitutes an abstract, albeit real, element of the world related to the form, structure, and order. Its quantitative and dynamical character assimilates it to matter and energy. Information does not exist outside material processes and human consciousness. Its dynamical aspect is strictly connected with communication, and evolutionary and entropic processes. In Weizsäcker's view, information becomes a philosophical concept. His approach hardly could be regarded as a full theory of time and information; it is rather an attempt at grasping their mutual dependencies and meaning.

The article examines some aspects of the modern syntax and algorithmic modeling. In 1974, in Dedham, Massachusetts, an international meeting took place which paved the way for the interdisciplinary research field of biolinguistics. The key focus area was syntax, its hierarchical structure and system of discrete infinity, unusual for the biological world. Here, some aspects of computational efficiency are analyzed in recent generative frameworks: operation Merge, the probe-goal system and the concept of the phase, among others. The aim of this article is to investigate an intriguing structure with final subject of unaccusatives in Yiddish, a Germanic language with Slavonic influences, and to show phase structures, feature inheritance, probe-goal, and a cyclic transfer system

Die forschungsleitenden Positionen zum Verhaltnis von Literatur und Religion im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert sind sich in der Uberzeugung einig, die Entstehung der Literatur an die Erklarungskraft des Modells ‚Sakularisierung‘ ruckzubinden. Sakularisierung ermoglicht eine hohe Differenzierungsleistung der religiosen Kommunikation selbst. In dieser Differenzierungsleistung stellt sie als Eigenleistung des religiosen Systems eine gunstige Umweltbedingung der Literatur dar.
In the early modern age, religious knowledge was not limited to the prospective definition of metaphysical expectations or religious writing. This study demonstrates that for the 17th and 18th centuries, the culture-historical dynamics of secularisation consisted in the generation of tensions between edifying and literary writing, religious and secular rules of writing, and religious and secular life.

This article is an attempt to characterize the conventions employed in the interpreting of conversational implicatures. The main objective is to justify the hypothesis that language utterers confronted with conversational implicatures not only use knowledge about rules of the language system and extralinguistic knowledge but also refer to special instructions for interpretation of implicit meanings. The article presents possibilities of verbalizing such instructions and compares them with linguistic rules showing some differences and similarities between them.

The aim of this article is to show which generative mechanisms are responsible for establishing a control relationship between syntactic structures. As a theoretical basis, the Movement Theory of Control by Hornstein was chosen because it has already been tested in numerous languages and has universal character. Its applicability was exemplified by some data of subject and object control in German. For this purpose, some derivations have been outlined. In addition, difficulties that this theory encounters were pointed out. For example, in the derivation of subject control over object, as it exists in the case of promise-verbs.

Wiele spośród sformułowanych na terenie nauk społecznych teorii zostało zaadaptowane na potrzeby pedagogiki społecznej (pracy socjalnej). Niektóre, z grona intensywnie dyskutowanych i ocenianych teorii są wciąż aktywnie stosowane, wprowadzane do praktyki. Wśród nich możemy wymienić pedagogikę reformy, teorie nabudowane na krytyce kapitalizmu, feminizmu, ale także w praktyce stosowane są takie modele jak terapia systematyczna czy rodzinna, jak też orientacja na przestrzeń społeczną. Artykuł prezentowany Czytelnikowi zawiera zarówno przegląd teorii ostatnich dekad, jak i uwagi skłaniające do ich krytycznej oceny. Dyskusja prezentowana w tekście, skupia się na praktycznych implikacjach zróżnicowania teoretycznego pedagogiki społecznej, autor analizuje niektóre, ważne problemy dotyczące tworzenia teorii tej dyscypliny oraz problematyzuje epistemologiczne próby przygotowania jednej, fundamentalnej i unifikującej teorii w pedagogice społecznej.
A plenitude of theories were formulated in the social science, many of them adapted for social pedagogy. Some of the most intensely discussed and still actively used are shortly introduced and evaluated, among them reform pedagogy, theories based on critique of capitalism, feminism, but also practically applied models like systematic and family therapy as well as orientation to social space. Thus an overview on theory construction of the last decades as well as some hints to critical reflections are presented to the reader. The discussion focuses on practical implications of theoretical diversity, on some central validity problems in theory construction and problematizes epistemological attempts for just one fundamental and unifying theory in social pedagogy.

Autor artykułu analizuje powieść Heinza Strunka Der goldene Handschuh [Złota rękawiczka] w oparciu o rozważania Judith Butler Excitable Speech (Walczące słowa. Mowa nienawiści i polityka performatywu). Ukazane zostaje nie tylko zagadnienie przemocy poprzez język, lecz także język jako forma przemocy. Pierwszą płaszczyznę rozważań stanowi analiza wypowiedzi postaci oraz wewnętrzna fokalizacja postaci Fritza Honki. Na drugiej płaszczyźnie autor artykułu bada intersubiektywną strukturę zależności jako wzajemne odziaływanie różnych postaci. Na zakończenie krytycznej analizie poddana zostaje sama narracja jako mowa przedstawiona. Rozważaniom towarzyszy teza, iż asynchroniczny język postaci pozostaje na płaszczyźnie tekstu niejasny i wzmacnia tym samym opisaną w artykule zasadę języka przemocy.Motyw przemocy poprzez język na płaszczyźnie postaci znajduje odzwierciedlenie na poziomie samej narracji jako język przemocy. Zamierzeniem niniejszego artykułu jest stworzenie krytyczno-refleksyjnych ram dla omawianego tekstu uwrażliwiających czytelnika na zagadnienie języka przemocy.
The paper analyses the novel by Heinz Strunk Der Goldene Handschuh [The Golden Glove] against Judith Butler’s comments on Excitable Speech. Alongside the presentation of violence through language, language as a form of violence is brought into focus. The first level of analysis is constructed around the investigation of utterances and internal focalization of the character of Fritz Honka. The second level encompasses the intersubjective structure of description as a dialogic interdependence between various characters. Finally, the narration itself as a form of reported speech is critically investigated. The following hypothesis is being explored: the asynchronous speech of the characters remains inexplicit on the textual level, which evokes the described principle of hurtful speech. The expression of violence at the level of the characters is transformed into the language of violence at the narrative level. The aim of the contribution is therefore to present the narration within a critical framework allowing for evoking of the awareness of the interrelationships between language and violence.
Dieser Beitrag untersucht Heinz Strunks Roman Der goldene Handschuh auf Grundlage von Judith Butlers Ausführungen zur Excitable Speech. Neben der Darstellung von Gewalt durch Sprache wird die Sprache als Form der Gewalt in den Fokus gerückt. Die erste Ebene der Analyse bilden die wörtliche Rede und die interne Fokalisierung der Figur ›Fritz Honka‹. Auf der zweiten Ebene wird die intersubjektive Beziehungsstruktur als dialogische Wechselwirkung zwischen verschiedenen Figuren betrachtet. Abschließend wird das Erzählen selbst als vorgetragene Rede kritisch hinterfragt. Folgende These wird untersucht: Die asynchrone Sprache der Figuren bleibt auf der Textebene unvermittelt und verstärkt dadurch das beschriebene Prinzip des verletzenden Sprechens. Die Darstellung der Gewalt durch die Sprache auf der Ebene der Figuren wird durch den Erzähltext selbst als Sprache der Gewalt reproduziert. Ziel des Beitrags ist es deshalb, die Erzählung kritisch zu erschließen, um dadurch eine grundsätzliche Sensibilisierung für die Reflexion der Zusammenhänge von Sprache und Gewalt zu erreichen.

Wpływ tradycji katolickiej na literaturę niemieckojęzyczną jest, jak do tej pory, problemem, który w stosunkowo niewielkim stopniu został opracowany przez polskich germanistów. Opublikowane w ostatnich latach prace z tej dziedziny nie są w stanie wypełnić istniejącej luki badawczej. Przyczyną takiego stanu rzeczy są zarówno względy polityczne okresu powojennego, jak i jednostronna recepcja piśmiennictwa niemieckojęzycznego. Polskie literaturoznawstwo koncentrowało się bowiem na jego głównym nurcie rozwojowym, wyrastającym z protestantyzmu. Wprowadzenie kulturoznawczej perspektywy metodologicznej, traktującej katolicyzm jako symboliczny porządek, określający motywacje i postępowanie grup społecznych, pozwala na wyodrębnienie specyficznych cech tego dyskursu w literaturze polskiej i niemieckiej.

In diesem Aufsatz wird die Reflexion von Dependenz‑ und Konstituenz‑Konzeptionen im Umfeld alterer Interpunktionslehren thematisiert. Es wird demonstriert, dass diese Konzeptionen bereits in der antiken Interpunktionslehre angelegt waren, aber auch in neuzeitlichen Beitragen auf unterschiedliche Weisen weiterentwickelt wurden. Auch aus dieser speziellen Perspektive lasst sich die Geschichte der Interpunktionslehre somit als eine Entfaltung und Prazisierung grammatisch‑syntaktischen Denkens begreifen.
The subject of this study is the reflection of dependency and constituency conceptions in older theories of punctuation. It is shown that these conceptions were already integrated in the ancient theory of punctuation, but they were developed further in different theories of Modern Period. Therefore, even from this specific perspective it is possible to understand the history of punctuation theory as a process of developing and clarifying grammatical and syntactical thinking.

The focus in the present contribution is on glottodidactics researchers’ attempts at working out a coherent model of foreign language acquisition in its both cognitive and neurobiological aspects. It is argued that the latest developments in cognitive linguistics as well as in psycholinguistics do offer an elaborate account of the nature and the structure of human language capacity, and, as such, they can constitute a source of inspiration for glottodidactics research. By contrast, despite significant achievements over the last decades, our knowledge of the language-mind interface is still elementary, speculative, and does not prove to be significantly relevant for glottodidactics.

The phenomenographic approach in educational research dates back to the early1980s. Marton and his co-workers focused on the significant role which is played by the individual beliefs of learners in the processes of teaching and learning. The study of learning experiences, reflections on these experiences and verbalization of these reflections have defined a new perspective in the perception of educational reality. The paper presents the basic assumptions of the phenomenographic approach and its application in the study of foreign language learners’ beliefs. Since beliefs result from many factors, among others of a socio-cultural nature, particular attention is paid to the dynamics of how beliefs are shaped in the light of the Activity Theory proposed by Vygotsky and his successors Leontiev and Engerström. The paper finishes with a discussion on the prospects of the study of beliefs in the Polish educational context, with particular consideration of foreign language philology students

Die Corona-Krise hat zu schweren inneren Konflikten und gesellschaftlicher Spaltung in vielen Ländern der Welt geführt. Diese Spaltung wird zu einem großen Teil durch antagonistische diskursive Praktiken hergestellt, vertieft und reproduziert. Dieser Beitrag unternimmt den Versuch die theoretischen Grundlagen für die Analyse und Beschreibung der konkurrierenden Diskurslager und die Bedingungen ihrer Entstehung zu erarbeiten. Dabei sollen die theoretische Trennlinie zwischen der traditionellen politischen Diskurstheorie under der linguistischen Kommunikationsanalyse aufgehoben und vielversprechende methodische Ansätze für die Analyse multimodaler Ressourcen und ihres kommunikativen Gebrauchs in den mit der Corona-Krise assoziierten Diskursen aufgezeigt werden.
The Corona crisis has led to internal conflict and the creation of enormous societal chasms in many countries of the world that would have been unthinkable a year ago. This divide is in large part being created, reproduced and deepened through ongoing antagonistic discursive practices. This article aims at outlining the theoretical groundwork for the analysis and description of the resulting discursive camps and the facilitating processes. It endeavors to bridge the theoretical gap between traditional political discourse theory and linguistic communication analysis and show promising methodological pathways for forensic analysis of multimodal resources and their communicative use in the current Corona associated discourses.

Opis:
Forces acting on the sugar beet combine plough are caused not only by physical properties of soil (e.g. its compactness) but also by physical properties of the harvested crop (i.e. sugar beets). A current theory on rooting out sugar beets has included only physical properties of soil along with physical and geometrical parameters of the ploughing mechanism. The article presents a mathematical model of mechanical influence of the soil layer together with the mass of sugar beets roots on the beets ploughing element. Mathematical formulas of the developed theory were verified with exemplary calculations for the accepted working parameters of the sugar beets harvesting combine (inter alia working speed, working depth).
Siły oddziałujące na wyorywacz kombajnu do zbioru buraków cukrowych wymuszane są nie tylko fizycznymi właściwościami gleby (np. jej zwięzłością), ale także fizycznymi właściwościami zbieranego plonu (tj. buraków cukrowych). Dotychczasowa teoria wyrywania buraków cukrowych uwzględniała tylko właściwości fizyczne gleby, w powiązaniu z fizycznymi i geometrycznymi parametrami mechanizmu wyorującego. Artykuł prezentuje matematyczny model mechanicznego oddziaływania warstwy gleby, łącznie z masą korzeni buraków cukrowych na element wyorujący buraki. Formuły matematyczne opracowanej teorii zostały weryfikowane przykładowymi obliczeniami, dla przyjętych parametrów roboczych kombajnu do zbioru buraków cukrowych (m.in. prędkością roboczą, głębokością roboczą).
