This paper presents state-of-the-art solution methods available in the ADINA program for dynamic, direct time integration analysis of time-dependent problems. For implicit direct dynamic solutions, a two-step Bathe method is presented. Advantages of the Bathe method over the widely used Newmark method are shown in small sample problems. Solutions of complex dynamic problems using the Bathe method will be presented at the Conference. For direct explicit dynamic solutions, the Noh-Bathe method is presented and compared with the central difference method and here again, advantages of the Noh-Bathe method are shown in small sample problems.
W pracy zaprezentowano metody do bezpośredniego całkowania równań ruchu schematem niejawnym (metoda Bathe’go) i jawnym (metoda Noh-Bathe). W przypadku niejawnego schematu rozwiazywania równań ruchu, porównano rezultaty otrzymane metodami Bathe’go i Newmarka dla prostych przykładów uwypuklając przewagę metody Bathe’go. W przypadku jawnego schematu rozwiazywania równań ruchu, porównano wyniki otrzymane przy pomocy metody Noh- Bate i metody różnic centralnych. Wyniki rozwiązań dla kompleksowych konstrukcji będą przedstawione w czasie Konferencji.

In this article the author discusses the issue of image of a non-public university in the context of the image of a local government, which functions on the territory where the university is located. The author discusses the mutual influence of both entities and the resulting benefits. In order to illustrate the subject the example of one of the richest and best-developing local governments in Poland - Community of Polkowice - which in 2002 decided to establish its own university together with the District (poviat) of Polkowice. The university is financed to a large extent, winch is probably an exception in whole Poland 12 - with funds from the budget of local government. Lower Silesian University of Entrepreneurship and Technology in Pokowice (DWSPiT) has been functioning on the market of higher education for a decade. It has a significant contribution to the building of a positive image of local authorities and uniting the identity of the local community. Even though people from outside Polkowice also study at the university, it is often called a "local government's university" or "local university", alongside the division into public and 11011-public universities, according to which it was categorizedl3. according to the law. One of the things important for the potential students is the fact that the university is located in the region of Polkowice. which is developing fast and offers the possibility of studying, potential jobs and in the longer perspective also attractive living conditions. The goal of the article is to try to show, on the example of Polkowice and the Lower Silesian University of Entrepreneurship. the impact that a non-public university may have on strengthening the positive image of local government and to present the scope of cooperation between a university and local government and its image value for the university itself The subject, due to the limitations imposed by the form of this article, will be limited to only the most important issues, according to the author.

Main scattering mechanisms affecting electron transport in MOS/SOI devices are considered within the quantum-mechanical approach. Electron mobility components (i.e., phonon, Coulomb and interface roughness limited mobilities) are calculated for ultrathin symmetrical DG SOI transistor, employing the relaxation time approximation, and the effective electron mobility is obtained showing possible mobility increase relative to the conventional MOSFET in the range of the active semiconductor layer thickness of about 3 nm.

Electron mobility and drain current in a strained-Si MOSFET have been calculated and compared with the mobility and drain current obtained for the relaxed material. In the first step, our mobility model has been calibrated to the "universal mobility" according to the available experimental data for unstrained Si MOSFETS. Then, employing the mobility parameters derived in the calibration process, electron mobility and the drain current have been calculated for strained-Si MOSFETs.

In this article a class of pseudo random signal generators, build with static nonlinear feedback block, is described. The feedback block function is modeled as a linear combination of sums and products of the register’s taps. A discrete model of the generator is proposed as a nonlinear discrete circuit. The simulation results from Matlab-Simulink and Multisim are shown. Also an experimental results of the example generator on FPGA implementation is shown.

In this article the statistical tests results of the pseudo random sequences generated by the Linear Feedback Shift Registers (LFSR) generators were described. LFSR generators' structures were shown and used statistical tests were described. The generator output sequence was analyzed in the NIST Statistical Test Suite STS 2.1.1. Interpretation of data obtained from the NIST STS 2.1.1 and the analysis' results of the pseudo random test sequences were discussed.

Opis:
The paper presents a synthesis method of new fractional-order elements, using classic fractional-order components, such as supercapacitors and real coils with ferromagnetic cores. These new fractional-order elements have been realized using a generalized impedance converter GIC. Two cases have been analyzed in the paper: first, with only one fractional-order element being a load impedance of the generalized impedance converter, and second, with two fractional-order elements - one being a part of the structure of the GIC and the second being the load impedance. The derived relations are illustrated by simulation examples for the circuit. The impact of different values of the parameter α on the solution of the considered problem has been analyzed too.

Opis:
The article presents an analysis of phase resonance conditions for the parallel RLCα circuit with supercapacitor. Supercapacitors behaviour somehow differs from classic dielectric capacitors, therefore it is necessary to develop their new mathematical models, using fractional - order differential equations. A simple fractional - order supercapacitor model has been assumed, taking into account its internal equivalent series resistance ESR too. A lossless inductance has also been assumed and relations for equivalent admittance and resonance occurence conditions have been derived in the considered parallel RLCα circuit with supercapacitor. The analysis was conducted for different fractional-order parameter α values. Derived relations have been illustrated by simulation examples. The existence of resonance frequency depends largely on the supercapacitor series resistance value.
