Za cel artykułu przyjęto usystematyzowanie wiedzy z zakresu rozumienia pojęcia technologii oraz przybliżenie procesu zarządzania technologią. Zwrócono uwagę na współczesne, systemowe ujęcie technologii oraz dokonano identyfikacji komponentów systemu technologicznego. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono także na jedno ze współczesnych narzędzi wspomagających działania w zakresie zarządzania technologią, jakim jest foresight technologiczny. W artykule wyodrębniono również wspólne płaszczyzny procesu zarządzania technologią oraz badań foresightu technologicznego.
The aim of the article was to systematize the knowledge that is concerned with understanding the concept of technology and is a closer look at the process of technology management. Special attention was drawn to contemporary systemic perspective on technology and technological components of the technology system. The author also drew particular attention to one of the tools supporting activities with in technology management, which is called technological foresight. In this paper, there have been also identified common layers of the process of technology management and technology foresight research.

It also characterizes nanotechnology the development of which will be a challenge for technology assessment in the coming years.

Technologiczne zmiany są często niepewne i dwuznaczne, nie mogąc być w pełni prognozowane. Dlatego też selekcja i kreacja przyszłości pożądanej - główny cel foresightu - oraz ułatwianie jej realizacji powinny być jednym z głównych celów polityki technologicznej, a co za tym idzie procesu zarządzania technologią. W artykule przedstawiono stosunkowo nową w polskim środowisku B+R koncepcję powiązania zarządzania technologią z nowoczesnym podejściem antycypacyjnym, jakim jest zarządzanie przyszłością odzwierciedlone głównie poprzez działania foresightowe. Przedstawiono również przykłady polskich i światowych inicjatyw, w których wykorzystano foresightowe metody badawcze odnoszące się ściśle do aspektu technologicznego.
Technological changes are often ambiguous, uncertain and unable to be fully predicted. Therefore, the selection and creation of a desired future - the main aim of foresight - and facilitating its implementation should be one of the main objectives of technology policy and thus the process of technology management. The article presents, relatively new in the Polish R+D environment, the concept of relationship technology management with the modern approach of anticipatory managing of future reflected mainly through foresight activities. Article also presents examples of Polish and global initiatives in which the research methods used in Foresight is closely related to the technological aspect.

This article considers the appeal of the cute body and its ambiguous relationship with the lovable. While cuteness is an aesthetic that is subjectively determined and expressed, it can also embellish a body with features that are standardized by systems of commodification. The cute body possesses a diminutive and vulnerable charm, but it is also an object that is augmented to solicit the subject’s love and control. Hence, the aesthetic of cuteness may seem to disempower the object, but it is likewise, an acute seduction that bears witness to the craft or technē that captures the subject. Developing a framework for cuteness as a stylistic device or technology embedded in the subject-object relationship, the article argues that the qualities and experience of the lovable constitute a condition of the affected subject, who must bear the paradox of embracing and effacing the object’s difference.

Opis:
The aim of this paper is to show some aspects of the interplay between technology and philosophy in the context of western culture. In the first section the author considers the possibility of applying M. Heller's strategy called 'philosophy in science' to technology. 'Philosophy in technology' should not be seen as a competitor for philosophy of technology but rather as a complementary philosophical account. The second section introduces the concept of 'defining technology' drawn primarily on some considerations of J.D. Bolter. In the third one the author tries to discuss four 'defining technologies': craft technology of antiquity, mechanical clock, steam engine, computer, and their metaphorical influence on the ways of viewing the world and the man. In the final section it is argued that besides science, religion, philosophy, arts etc., technology also has its significant contribution to the image of the world throughout the history.

The term information technology has grown to embrace an array of technologies and related disciplines. Information technology is the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems – particularly software applications and computer hardware. For two decades, we have also used such terms in the scientific circuit, as well. However, is this correct? In fact, is everything we deal in the field of computer science is a technology? The scope of this article study undertook a discussion and an attempt to answer this question.

Od lat 60. XX stulecia uczeni całego świata przeprowadzają badania problemów technologii edukacyjnej. W niniejszym artykule przedstawione są teoretyczne zasady technologii pedagogicznej, która jest ważnym sposobem podwyższenia jakości kształtowania jednostki. Dużo informacji poświęcono charakterystyce typów technologii pedagogicznych, ich funkcji, właściwości oraz inności, które polegają na orientowaniu na teorię i różne koncepcje. Analiza literatury w danym aspekcie pozwoliła na syntetyzowanie zasad teoretycznych technologii pedagogicznej, w szczególności: kierunki i nurty filozoficzne w edukacji, teorie psychologiczno-pedagogiczne, koncepcje i zasady naukowe oraz czynniki, które określone są właściwościami organizacji i treści rządzenia socjalno-funkcjonalnego.
Since the 1960s, researchers all over the world have discussed problems of education technology. This article discusses the theoretical background of pedagogical technology, which is a vital tool in enhancing the quality of pedagogical intervention. A lot of information concerns the typology of pedagogical technologies, their functions and distinctive features that emerge from the discrepancies in the particular conceptions and their theoretical backgrounds. Our analysis allows a synthetic presentation of the theoretical principles of education technology, with special emphasis on the following aspects: philosophical ideas and currents in education, psychological and pedagogical theories, scientific conceptions and principles behind social functionalist organizational structures and management.

This paper discusses the concept of Technology Assessment (TA) and its rationale in light of complex relations between technology, market and democracy. The author points out their limitations: market proliferates discoveries and inventions but distorts mechanism of cultural limitations of the process of scientific innovation; democracy is in deep accord with scientific meritocracy, individualism and creativity, but on the other hand it slowly loses its control grip over science; technology is predominantly responsible for positive public representation of science, but it is guilty of most terrifying and problematic inventions. In conclusion, the author argues that only taking into account the complex hybrid of science, technology, market and democracy may provide understanding and control over technological innovations.

Environment, ecosystem, greenhouse effect emissions, public health, energy, sustainable development. This is an incomplete list of elements that are part of our daily lives, which show today’s human footprint responsibility over the health of the planet. Although these issues have been for decades on all policy statements on development the situation is not improving. Indeed, constantly, we are called to change our lifestyle and our models of well-being that are causing an exaggerated and increasing waste of energy and resources, along with the increase of the overall impact of human species on natural systems. I do believe the environment is a resource that has been exploited and neglected for too long, however I am also convinced that excessive (ab)use of certain terms, such as the concept of sustainability, has weakened its driving force and innovation. There is no doubt that the thematic areas related to the monitoring of environmental quality and sustainable development dominate the cultural and socio-economic scenery for the articulation program design and governance of the territory, but the risk we are running today is to flatten themes of 'environment only for propaganda or even worse for the market. The report is a reasoning on innovation, technology and the complexity that now accompanies any work of transformation and that should lead to a "possible future”.

Technology has brought the humanity rapid development and manifold conveniences, therefore, it has been perceived mainly as a source of positive changes, even though, it has also brought many negative side effects. In this article, technology is presented as a field of moral reflection, especially, as a field for reflection on consumerism. The development of Western civilization brought about a disturbing phenomenon, i.e. consumerism. Homo consumens uses technology to consume more than he needs. He is driven by artificially fueled desires that can never be satisfied, thus he falls into a vicious circle of never-ending consumption. On the one hand, technology makes goods more available; on the other hand, it also generates new needs, called «meta-needs». As a result, consumer societies define the value of a person through the prism of his possessions, which are actually incessantly exchanged for new material goods. In this approach, instead of serving the society, technology strengthens consumerism which affects full personal development and is harmful to the environment.

The objective of the analysis conducted and described in this article was to take a closer perspective of the contemporary research trends that refer to the discipline of technology management. The Author based the analysis on keywords defined by the authors of the publications that refer issues of technology management. Scopus was the database which provided data for the analysis. The Author focused on publications indexed in the selected database in 2011-2016. The resulting database keywords have been ordered and partially aggregated. Based on them, the VOSviewer tool was used to prepare a graphical presentation of frequency and co-occurrence with the rest of the analysed group. The analysis led to an indication of current research trends within the discipline of technology management.

Understanding the most important phenomena that generates the technique requires refer-ences to philosophy and ethics. You can not bring technology to the utilitarian dimensions. Her easement is associated with doing good for people. Hence the need to introduce two paradigms: the primacy of man over technology and the primacy of the person over things.

The modern conditions of globalization processes stipulate to raise the demands for training future specialists. Variability of life situations and conditions of professional activity realization actualize the problem of creating technologies of mastering educational material in universities, which favour both improvement of educational class efficiency in particular, and quality of professional preparation in general. The author has elaborated effective educational classes called studactive, for university students. Implementing such classes into the educational process furthers heightening the level of mastering educational material by students, realization of professional growth in accordance with capabilities and natural abilities of future specialists, formation of personal qualities. The article deals with the problem of elaborating the technology of carrying out such classes. It is proved that such a technology is directed at realization of all stages of a studactive class. The principles which the technology is based on are characterized. It is stated that the technology is orientated at highly efficient preparation of future specialists. The stages of organization of the educational process in class, management of out-of-class work and active educational activity by students, realization of active educational interaction modes which are included into the technology of conducting studactive classes, are researched. The functions and main demands for objective assessment of educational progress of students are analyzed. Along with a wide range of powers for students, collective and individual estimation of future specialists’ activity is introduced. During the control stage a common status for all class participants is created. It is emphasized that the most part of control is held by students rather than teachers. “Mutual control” and “self-control” are outlined. The advantages of the technology of carrying out studactive classes are revealed.
