Aim: A child in the history of salvation. Methods: A historical comparative method. Results: Firstly, the child’s situation in the New Testament was demonstrated followed by the view of a young man in the Church Tradition. A lot of place has been given to a child in the extremely hard time of the totalitarian systems of the 20th century. Conclusions: The perversity of the recent indoctrination, allegedly offering human beings happiness is deceiving, because the expectations are not corresponding to the real situation, and therefore, happiness is illusive. In the face of the recent invasion of evil which seems to be omnipotent, Christianity still preaches the Gospel about a child as the immediate way to God. In all places with God in the right place, people cannot bring bad fates upon a child

Aim: To present own thoughts on the processes that accompany fulfilling professorial careers at universities. Methods: Referring to personal experiences both at and out of the university, and drawing on own achievements. Results: Based on own experience, the author presented forecasts related to the “profession” of professor. The author puts forward the thesis that education has a special role to play and therefore should be independent, with less bureaucracy, giving opportunities for creative work and devoting more time to students. Conclusions: The analysis of the topic shows that there is a need to review and suggest assessments to be applied by students of pedagogy and related fields. It also provides an opportunity to generate new topics, especially concerning recent research.

Aim: The aim of the article is to recall the figure of Janusz Korczak, his life path, as well as his literary output. Particularly noteworthy is the dilemma he had to face in the final situation in which he – a writer, pedagogue, social activist, doctor – found himself in the German extermination camp in Treblinka on the day of his death on August 7, 1942. Methods: The comparative method was used in the article. Detailed content was articulated from the rich source material, showing the richness of Janusz Korczak’s thought and pedagogical practice. Results: As a result, the pedagogue was presented against the social and historical background of his period of life. The rich religious aspect of the pedagogue’s life, in which his extensive activities are enclosed, was also mentioned. Conclusions: The child, in terms of Korczak’s upbringing system, is a being the most important basis of whom is the right to be respected, and upbringing is a support for the child’s self-education. It is necessary to recall the figure of Janusz Korczak on a constant basis, just as Christian saints are remembered, and not without a particular reason. In both cases it is about a pattern. Also, the heroism, inherent in the pattern in both cases, is similar, if not identical. The child is constantly in mortal danger - perhaps no longer the gas chamber, but not less deadly distortions in preparation for life, in upbringing, and in the transmission of values.

Aim: The aim of the article is to show spirituality as an expression of understanding life in the implementation of the educational process. Methods: appropriate for theology and educational sciences, based on the analysis of the most important sources of knowledge and activities of the Church. Results: The subject of considerations is the question of spirituality in the teaching of the Catholic Church in the light of the Holy Scriptures, the teaching of the Second Vatican Council, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the most important, current documents and encyclicals published in the last several decades. They are related to spirituality with the issue of realization and recognition of basic values in the process of education. Conclusions: The result of these considerations is the conclusion that a value is an important goal of a human effort, and a man by nature wants good, even if his is not aware of it. Spirituality in education teaches that a person will turn out to be rational and wise when he/she transforms the selfish attitude into an altruistic man capable of sacrificing his/her own values and even life for the good of others.
