Głównym zadaniem, jakie stawia sobie autor tekstu, jest pokazanie, że równie ważnym aspektem twórczości filozoficznej Dąmbskiej jest refleksja aksjologiczna.
The presented article is the attempt to grasp axiological trains in the works of Izydora Dąmbska. The principal topics of interests of Izydora Dąmbska who was one of the most outstanding representatives of the philosophical Lvov-Warsaw School concentrated on the problems belonging to epistemology and methodology. The main goal of this article is to show that axiological reflexion is as important part of Dąmbska’s philosophy as the mentioned above.

Dalszy rozwój interdyscyplinarnej dyscypliny naukowej jaką jest ocena techniki wymaga m.in. rozwijania jej podstaw teoretycznych. Jednym z najważniejszych ich elementów jest aksjologia rozumiana jako dział filozofii (jej najstarszą i w pewnym sensie główną częścią jest etyka). W tekście przedstawiony został kontekst historyczny rozwoju – aksjologii oraz – oceny techniki. Sformułowano argumenty przemawiające na rzecz możliwości oraz celowości posługiwania się możliwie neutralnym metafizycznie pojęciem wartości. Wskazano na potrzebę przyjęcia jakiejś ontologii „świata ludzkiego”. Zaproponowano ontologię, w której świat ten obejmuje cztery (pod)światy: indywiduów, zbiorowości, przedmiotów materialnych oraz przedmiotów idealnych. Dokonano przeglądu wartości istotnych dla oceny wpływu techniki na każdy z wymienionych (pod)światów.
The future development of the Technology Assessment conceived as an interdisciplinary science calls – among others – for developing its theoretical foundations. As one of their most important elements should be regarded axiology conceived as a part of philosophy (ethics is the oldest and in a sense main part of axiology). In this paper has been presented the historical context of the development of both axiology and technology assessment. Some arguments supporting the possibility and desirability of using meta-physically neutral notion of value have been formulated. The need to assume an ontology of “human world” has been demonstrated. An ontology has been proposed in which “human world” is made up of four (sub)worlds: of human individuals, of human groups, of material objects, and of ideal objects. An overview of the values being relevant for evaluation of technology’s impact upon each of those (sub)worlds.

The notion of innovation has become a part of dominating ideology of our times. As in the case of each ideology, a critical/philosophical reflection on this ideology is needed. Thus we need analytical instruments to describe it (ontology) and to evaluate it (axiology). The paper is an attempt to constructing such instruments.

The author of the presented text aims to identify a few relevant to the concept of sustainable development philosophical assumptions. The article is not a comprehensive discussion of the course topics, because that would exceed the framework of each study. The aim is to draw attention to a few basic moments forming philosophical foundation of the modern concept of sustainable development. These are metaphysical, axiological and anthropological premises.

The article proposes some form of practising philosophy and itsrelated issues as an innovative analysis in the field of human relations. It presents an original proposal by Tischner who analyses ethical values interms of good. These considerations constituting the core of the article present a brief discussion of the concept of traditional values, e.g. Scheler's. Tischner's innovation lies in the recognition that the proper access to the world of values should be sought through multi-faceted analysis of the relationships. Such an approach seems to significantly deepen the discussion of the concept of value andexposes their ethics.
W artykule zaproponowano pewne formy uprawiania filozofii i podejmowane przez nią zagadnienia jako innowacyjne w dziedzinie analiz relacji międzyludzkich. Przedstawiono oryginalną propozycję etyczną Józefa Tischnera analizującego wartości w perspektywie dobra. Rozważania te, stanowiące jądro artykułu, prezentują krótkie omówienia tradycyjnych koncepcji wartości, między innymi Schelera. Innowacyjność ujęcia Tischnera polega na tym, że właściwego dostępu do świata wartości poszukuje on poprzez wieloaspektową analizę relacji międzyludzkich. Takie podejście zdaje się istotnie pogłębiać rozważania pojęcia wartości i eksponuje ich etyczność.

The concept of quality of life has during the last few decades become an important category, both theoretical (philosophical, sociological) and political. This situation generates the need to study comprehensively this category. In the paper, the concept of quality of life of individual and the concept of social quality of life are analyzed, availing of ontology of human life.

The aim of this article is a reflection on the axiological foundations of Operational Programme Intelligent Development in the context of the problems of the value of knowledge. The article contains a brief presentation of the basic problems of axiology. The author presents the most important issues related to the analysis of crucial to this project concept of knowledge and the issue of its value. Then he tries to find the link between the issues of the value of knowledge with the title Operational Programme.

First, the text outlines the historical context of the evolution of the “social development” concept. It could be divided into four phases (the last one is still open). Second, we undertake an ontological analysis of this notion. It starts from the general notion of change and development, and ends with a tripartite typology of ideas labelled with the phrase “social development”. Third, we discuss the specific historical context in which the concepts of value and of axiology came to the fore. We try to demonstrate how this context is related with the evolution of the notion of social development. We end the text with remarks on intellectual and moral autonomy and on some conditions of public debates.
Tekst ten, po pierwsze, zarysowuje historyczny kontekst ewolucji pojęcia „rozwój społeczny”. Można by ją podzielić na cztery fazy (ostatnia jest jeszcze otwarta). Po drugie, przeprowadzamy ontologiczną analizę tego pojęcia, która rozpoczyna się od ogólnego pojęcia zmiany i rozwoju, a kończy się trójelementową typologią idei związanych z frazą „rozwój społeczny”. Po trzecie, dyskutujemy szczególny historyczny kontekst, w którym pojawiły się pojęcia wartości i aksjologii. Próbujemy pokazać, w jaki sposób kontekst ten jest powiązany z ewolucją pojęcia rozwoju społecznego. Kończymy tekst uwagami na temat intelektualnej i moralnej autonomii oraz na temat pewnych warunków debat publicznych.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest rozpoznanie prawnych i etycznych uwarunkowań zrównoważonego rozwoju. W szczególności chodzi o wskazanie, w jaki sposób koncepcja zrównoważonego rozwoju wpływa na kształtowanie różnego rodzaju systemów regulacji zachowań. Zrównoważony rozwój stał się bowiem kategorią normatywną tak na poziomie prawa międzynarodowego i unijnego, jak w prawie krajowym. Wobec tego konieczne jest ustalenie, w jaki sposób oddziałuje lub może on oddziaływać na podejmowanie określonych rozstrzygnięć w procesie tworzenia i stosowania prawa, a także na prowadzenie polityki, w tym w sferze gospodarczej i społecznej. Właściwe zastosowanie koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju do wyżej wskazanej aktywności organów władzy publicznej szczebla lokalnego, regionalnego, państwowego czy ponadnarodowego wymaga nie tylko rozpoznania, w jakich aktach normatywnych występuje to pojęcie, ale przede wszystkim, odniesienia go do etyki i systemu wartości. Jedynie bowiem z uwzględnieniem kontekstu aksjologiczno-etycznego zrównoważony rozwój będzie mógł być właściwie wykorzystany w praktyce. Prawne rozumienie wartości zrównoważonego rozwoju, jeżeli będzie odwoływać się jedynie do jego znaczenia definicyjnego, bez kontekstu etyczno-filozoficznego, poszerzającego istotnie treść tej zasady o wartości m.in. idealne, autoteliczne czy instrumentalne, będzie w sposób ograniczony odzwierciedlać się w prawnym procesie decyzyjnym. Artykuł przedstawia wprowadzenie do wskazanego tematu i odwołuje się do kwestii etyczno-aksjologicznych i kształtu konstytucyjnego porządku aksjologicznego w Polsce.
The subject of the article is the recognition of legal and ethical conditions of sustainable development. In particular, it is about indicating how the concept of sustainable development influences the shaping of various types of behavior regulation systems. Sustainable development as a definite doctrine of economics has become a normative category both on the level of international and EU law, as in national law. Therefore, it is necessary to determine how it affects or can affect the taking of decisions in the process of creating and applying the law, as well as to conduct policies, including in the economic and social spheres. The proper application of sustainable development to the above-mentioned activity of public authorities at the local, regional, national or supranational level requires not only to recognize in which normative acts this concept is present but, above all, to refer to ethics and the system of values. It is only with the axiological and ethical context that sustainable development can be properly used in practice. Legal understanding of the value of sustainable development, if it refers only to its definitional meaning, without ethical and philosophical context, extending significantly the content of this principle with the value of, among others, ideal, autotelic or instrumental, will be limited in the legal decision-making process. The article presents an introduction to the indicated topic and refers to ethical and axiological issues and the shape of the constitutional axiological order in Poland.

Considerations of this analysis focus on the issues of the axiological assumptions of Operational Programme Intelligent Development, and the dilemmas of values which these assumptions can hidden. Dilemmas of values are an integral part of any system of values, but awareness of their existence can help to make positive changes in the systems.

W artykule stawiam tezę, że w strategiach oświatowych zbyt słaby akcent kładzie się na zagadnienia związane z kształtowaniem świadomości ekologicznej, zorientowanej na holistyczną percepcję człowieka i przyrody. Przedstawiono tu antagonistyczne wizje i wybrane perspektywy postrzegania środowiska przyrodniczego oraz najczęściej przywoływane argumenty w dyskusjach – pomiędzy zwolennikami antropocentryzmu i propagatorami biocentryzmu.
In this article, I propose a thesis that in educational strategies too weak emphasis is placed on the issues of shaping environmental awareness, oriented on holistic perception of human beings and nature. I presented antagonistic visions and selected perceptions of the natural environment and the most frequently quoted arguments in the discussions – between the supporters of anthropocentrism and the propagators of biocentrism.

Purpose: The focus of this article is on the axiology of leadership, which is a description of the guiding values and characteristics of a leader, including innovation, growth, skilful direction-setting, listening and attentiveness, proactive empowerment, accountability, judgment, and persuasion. Design/methodology/approach: The article uses the method of comparative-descriptive analysis. In this article, I characterize the different types of leadership including its strategic, activating, operational and forcing form. Findings: I refer to the scientific theory of authorities in the field of organizational management and leadership coaching by Owen, Krupp, Schoemaker, as well as Kaplan and Kaiser; for comparison, I also include Sieraczkiewicz’s leadership typology. Unconsciously, however, the leader’s qualities/attributes, when abused, can become the greatest obstacle and disadvantage, which not only thwarts all the efforts of the team, but also makes the leader-head of that team ineffective. Research limitations/implications: The text takes up issues related to the problem of development and self-development in the field of business. Practical implications: The paper concerns the development of an individual, leader and his team in the professional and private sphere. Text will be interest broadly understood business. Social implications: Unconsciously, however, the leader’s qualities/attributes, when abused, can become the greatest obstacle and disadvantage, which not only thwarts all the efforts of the team, but also makes the leader-head of that team ineffective. Originality/value: Originality of the article is confirmed by the description of basic features/values that every contemporary leader should cultivate. Characteristic feature of the contemporary leader is his versatility and the related axiological pluralism.

Obchodzimy 30 rocznicę opublikowania Raportu Brundtland, 25 rocznicę Szczytu Ziemi w Rio, 15 rocznicę Szczytu Ziemi w Johannesburgu, 5 rocznicę Szczytu Ziemi w Rio. Zapewne za następne 10, 30 i 50 lat będziemy obchodzić kolejne rocznice związane z ekorozwojem, przy czym znamienną refleksją jest ta: że mimo upływającego czasu nie zmniejszyła się cywilizacyjna presja na środowisko naturalne, biosferę człowieka. Istotnym jest zarówno przyjęcie nowego modelu ekonomicznego, jak i jego wdrożenie w życie w skali makro. Szczęście narodowe brutto, ekonomia buddyjska, życie ukierunkowane na „być, a nie mieć” to rozwiązania znane i funkcjonujące od wielu lat. Celem eseju jest podjęcie zagadnienia możliwości zastąpienia modelu ekonomicznego funkcjonującego na świecie, także w kontekście przekształcenia poczucia świadomości w świadome działania.
As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the publication of the Brundtland Report, the 25th anniversary of the Earth Summit in Rio, the 15th anniversary of the Earth Summit in Johannesburg, 5th anniversary of the Earth Summit in Rio. There is no doubt that within next 10, 30 and 50 years, we will celebrate another anniversary associated with eco-development. However it is quite significant that despite the passage of time civilization pressures on the environment and human biosphere has not diminished. It is essential to adopt and enact a new economic model on the macro scale. Gross national happiness, Buddhist economics, life-oriented on "to be and not to have" is a solution known and functioning for many years. The aim of the essay is to rise the issues about the possibility of replacing the economic model existing in the world regarding transformation of a sense of awareness into conscious actions.

Opis:
The question of values more and more often constitutes a point of departure in deliberations on the practice of sustainable development. Some propositions have been developed for the axiological system of sustainable development. They are structurally complex since they incorporate defined levels of values Implementation of a given axiological system can, in turn, be secured by properly planned management. This management can be defined as the management socially important values that are part of the widely understood social management. The article will show the role of sustainable development axiology in the context of the crisis of morality. In addition, there will be a question of value, including socially important values, especially in the systematic management of sustainable development.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of the article is to present the issues of cultural values of modern Europe in reference to their ancient sources (Plato, Aristotle), as well as to indicate correlations between the value of European culture and the axiology of sustainable development. Design/methodology/approach: The article is based on a critical analysis of the literature on the subject. It presents in detail the issues of justice and responsibility, indicating Europe as a "community of responsibility". Justice is considered as a moral, legal and economic value, taking into account the generation and intergenerational perspective, as well as community and individual value. Responsibility, as in the case of justice, is shown in relation to the present and future generations. The subject and object of responsibility were defined and the main relational references of this moral and legal value were characterized. The article also refers to the basic documents constituting the concept of sustainable development. Findings: The analysis of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development showed that in the concept, it can be seen that justice and responsibility are two basic values that are mutually conditioning and constitute the basis for the actual implementation of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development, improvement of people's quality of life and ensuring security in its various dimensions. Originality/value: The article is addressed to a wide range of readers who deal with the practical implementation of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development. The article can also provide a didactic background for teaching social subjects and humanities. There is an original approach to ethical values in the context of the assumptions of the concept of sustainable development.
