Samoocena wpływa na sposób spostrzegania innych ludzi i otaczającego świata. Jeśli jest adekwatna, pozwala człowiekowi właściwie ocenić swoje możliwości i osiągać sukcesy. Samoocena zawyżona prowadzi do podejmowania zadań zbyt trudnych, zaś zaniżona powoduje wycofywanie się i reakcje obronne. W zawodzie pedagoga samoocena pełni ważną funkcję. Wiążąca się z nią samoakceptacja stanowi podstawę akceptowania wychowanków. Ważna jest też umiejętność wczuwania się w sytuację dzieci i młodzieży. Celem przeprowadzonych badań, których wyniki przedstawiono w artykule, było sprawdzenie, czy sposób spostrzegania siebie przez studentów pedagogiki wpływa na ich poziom empatii wobec innych ludzi
Self-esteem influences the perception of other people and the surrounding world. If it is adequate, it allows an individual to appropriately judge their potential and achieve success. An overly high self-esteem leads to undertaking tasks too difficult, whereas an overly low self-esteem causes withdrawal and defensive reactions. In the pedagogical profession, self-esteem plays an important role, and self-acceptance related to it constitutes the basis for acceptance of pupils. The ability to empathize with children and adolescents is also important. The aim of the conducted research, the results of which are presented in this paper, was to examine whether or not the self-perception of pedagogy students influences their levels of empathy towards other people.

Przedmiotem rozważań podjętych w artykule jest empatia. Zaprezentowano w nim rozważa-nia teoretyczne dotyczące znaczenia empatii w pracy nauczyciela oraz wyniki badań własnych odnoszących się do poziomu empatii studentów kierunków o specjalności nauczycielskiej. Bada-nia przeprowadzono wśród 206 studentów. Do badań wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Rozumienia Empatycznego Innych Ludzi autorstwa Węglińskiego. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na potrzebę rozwijania wrażliwości empatycznej u studentów rozpoczynających studia na kierunkach nauczy-cielskich.
The line of approach of this article is empathy. It presents theoretical considerations about the meaning of empathy in teacher´s work and results of personal research concerning levels of empa-thy of students of teaching careers. The research have been conducted among 206 students with the use of Empathy Questionnaire of Węgliński. The results obtained indicate the need for devel-oping empathy among students who begin their teaching careers.

Celem podjętych badań było ukazanie poczucia samotności uczniów szkoły wiejskiej. Dla zdiagnozowania występującego poczucia samotności posłużono się polską adaptacją Skali Samot-ności De Jong Gierveld (1985). Badania miały charakter sondażu. Objęto nimi uczniów klasy VII oraz klas II i III gimnazjum. Ogółem przebadano 103 osoby (44 dziewczyny, co stanowiło 42,7% i 59 chłopców – 57,3%). Wiek badanych mieścił się w przedziale 14–16 lat. Analiza uzyskanych wyników pozwoliła wyodrębnić dominującą grupę wśród badanych dziewcząt i chłopców w za-kresie odczuwanej przez nich samotności. Najwięcej badanych dziewcząt (70,50%) oraz chłopców (59,30%) w umiarkowanym stopniu odczuwa samotność.
The aim of the study was to demonstrate the experience of loneliness among students of rural schools. For the purpose of identifying the ocurrence of loneliness, the Polish adaptation of the de Jong-Gierveld Loneliness Scale was employed. The study was carried out by means of a poll method in 7th grade of primary school as well as 2nd and 3rd grade of gimnazjum. In total, it encompassed 103 respondents aged 14–16, 44 (42.7%) of whom were girls and 59 (57.3%) were boys. Upon the analysis of the results it was possible to determine the primary group of the boys and girls surveyed in terms of their experience of loneliness. The majority of the girls (70.50%) and the boys (59.60%) were found to experience loneliness to a moderate extent.

Współczesne przemiany społeczno-kulturowe wpłynęły na przeobrażenia w wielu sferach życia, szczególnie widoczne u młodych ludzi. Coraz częściej podkreśla się w publikacjach popularnych, że współczesnych „młodych” cechuje konsumpcjonizm, materializm i nihilizm moralny. Dlatego celem podjętych badań było sprawdzenie systemu wartości młodych ludzi – studentów. Do badań wybrano szczególną grupę – studentów pedagogiki przedszkolnej i wczesnoszkolnej. Ten zamiar wydaje się szczególnie istotny, gdyż badani wkrótce będą oddziaływać wychowawczo na osobowość dzieci. Od ich kondycji aksjologicznej uzależniony jest zatem proces wprowadzania w świat wartości najmłodszego pokolenia.
Contemporary social and cultural changes influenced transformations in many spheres of life, which are especially visible among young generation. Nowadays, it is more often emphasized in popular publications, that contemporary young people are characterized by consumerism, materialism and moral nihilism. Therefore, the aim of this research was to verify the system of values of young people, namely students of pre-school and early school education. This choice seems to be particularly important, as the respondents will soon have an educational impact on children. Therefore, the process of introducing children to the world of values depends on students’ axiological condition.

Artykuł podejmuje kwestie związane ze zmianą roli nauczyciela, którą wymusza charakter współczesnych przemian społecznych. Wymagania stawiane współczesnym nauczycielom związane są z kreowaniem przestrzeni edukacyjnej ucznia, tak by wyzwolić w nim potrzebę samodzielnego formułowania pytań i poszukiwania na nie odpowiedzi, pobudzić motywację, kształtować odważne podejmowanie decyzji oraz innowacyjność działania i myślenia.
Article focuses on the changing role of the teacher, which affects the nature of contemporary social change. The current form of education based on the schematic action and “safe” methods of teaching, does not meet the needs of the generation brought up in the world of new technologies. Requirements for modern teachers are associated with the creation of the student's education, so as to trigger the need for questioning and seeking answers, stimulate motivation, develop bold decisions and innovative actions and thinking.

According to the Bologna Accords, in recent years the education sector in Ukraine has been undergoing via some changes: Ukraine switched to the multilevel education, many universities introduced the credit-modular system of knowledge, assessment and a successfully implemented distance learning system, based on External Independent Testing (EIT) [http://www.ihep.org/]. Ukraine provides equal access to education. However, despite the positive developments in the field of education, in 2010, only 17% of students received the highest possible score in a test of mathematics, and in 2011, only 7% received 180.5 points and above [Results of social…]. And that is despite the fact that according to the psychometric analysis: 58% test items can be classified as „optimal”. This paper is devoted to investigation of results and search of statistical relationships of indicators in tests of the general competence and knowledge assessment of students, which took place in Ukraine in 2011. A general methodology for finding significant statistical relationships between certain characters is described in the article. We used standard methods of statistical analysis: finding the value of the distribution, the methods of descriptive statistics, one-dimensional analysis of variance. The calculations were carried out with the help of software SPSS. A brief interpretation of test results is given. These results are accompanied by graphics and tables. The study drew conclusions about the level of general education of students in Ukraine in 2011. Objectiveness of test for the knowledge assessment scores is substantiated.
